*This Omake is NOT canon. Or at least it's a soft-canon if you'd like.
Omake: An Interrupted Meal
I-Island is in lockdown, it has been for hours now. And so, with Security Protocols in defect not a soul is wandering the island: not its streets, not its buildings, nothing. Since every resident and guest are safely waiting for the all-clear in their homes and hotels.
Well, almost everyone.
A few souls couldn't make it to their hotels in time. And some refused to leave the dinner all together.
An older gentleman with white hair in a buzz-cut, an iconic grey monobrow, and a bushy white mustache sits at one of the tables. His eyes are squinting down at his phone which he has held out in front of him. The light coming from it illuminates his face, especially the large nose that's sticking out from the side with both his eyes lying on one side of it. He's wearing a uniform belonging to that of a Major which consists of a green long-sleeved shirt and pants. While a set of initials "MM" are monogrammed in purple on the right breast of the shirt.
The Major salutes at the screen. "Good work on your mission to I-Island, Agent P. You foiled Doofenshmirtz's nefarious plot once again. And early too. Now go get some rest, you earned it."
And like that he hangs up and tucks the phone away.
A teen, an intern maybe, with reddish- brown curly hair and purple glasses sits across from him.
The intern frowns as the Major hangs up. "Sir, don't you think you should have told him we were here already?"
"Don't get hung up on the details, Carl!" The Major scolds before whipping out the diner's menu. "Now have you finally decided what you're going to order?"
"Sir, we have bigger problems than what we're gonna eat. Look around! The entire island's in lockdown!" The intern, Carl, waves at the windows and how they're sealed behind a sheet of thick iron curtains while alarms blare from outside.
But none of that seems to phase the major as he continues scanning the menu. "So, it is."
"D-don't you think you should have Agent P look into it?"
"Don't be ridiculous! Didn't you hear the announcement, they've got this handled." The Major waves it off without a care. "And besides I'm not leaving this spot until I get a slice of I-Island's famous Molten-Chocolate Cakes!"
"But sir nobodies here! Everyone went back to their hotels after the alarms went off!" Carl waves over to the counter where there isn't a waiter or cook in sight.
"Talk about lousy service." The Major tsks before going back to the menu.
And then the alarms shut off. And best of all the iron curtains raise up and away, allowing the light of the moon to flood in as the automatic doors of the restaurant unlock.
"Ha, see that, Carl. I told you it was nothing." The Major smiles before he's cut off by a sudden tremor.
They peer out the window and, in the distance, they watch in shock-and-awe as two titan-sized machines rise above the skyscrapers and buildings. Every step of their feet can be felt, and every clash of their fists shakes the very ground. Explosions and hellfire boom and shriek across the air as rockets, lasers, and lightning erupt forth and dance across the sky.
Mesmerized, the Major calmly comments. "Man, they would love this in Japan."
*Update* So, after burning myself out I am taking my time with the next chapter. That said, it is an extremely short chapter compared to last time. So, I am hoping I will be able to post next Friday if not then the week after for sure. Unfortunately, my weekend is totally booked so I lose out on precious writing time. But either way next time will be a nice little epilogue for this arc.
*So, I wasn't able to list out the Easter Eggs from Ch.64 Three Heroes part III so I am doing it now! I might have missed some but whatever. 1st up we got the red belt-like device that produced a kinetic energy absorbing force bubble. That was meant to be the belt that Rocket from DC's Young Justice wears. And there were all these in the vault too: the Dominator pistol from Psycho pass, a T-800's arm from the Terminator movies, and a Ghostbusters' Proton Pack. And then I had lines taken from certain fandoms. There was "They fly now" line from Star Wars. The Gurren Lagann line, also side note if you don't know what that line was then you really need to do yourself the favor and watch that anime which was made by the studio Trigger. Speaking of Trigger, the Deku Ex-Machina's name was inspired (ripped off) the mecha's name from Trigger's Promare movie. You also had a line from Mad Max Fury Road, which was given by Kraab himself. There were the Daleks. And finally, you had versions of Galvan Prime and Galvan B appear from Ben Ten make symbolic appearances.
