Chapter 2: The Path of Lightning.
Time Ship (Naruto 16 years old)
In a secluded area on Crescent Island, you can see bolts of lightning shooting through the sky, as the wildlife that were in the area fled from the sound of thunder and the bright flashes of light the lightning created. We find Naruto and the Fire Sage Shyu training; over the past couple of years, he has learned the basics and advanced lightning-bending techniques, and also had to come up with a few of his own. While training, he discovered that bending lightning comes naturally to him. He studied other bending styles and found that water and fire bending forms are the best stances to use when lightning bending, with the fluid movements of water bending style and the aggressive fire bending style. He began creating a new form of bending.
He can Lightning bend like other fire benders, he can also redirect lightning which shocked Shyu, they found out about this ability when Shyu was teaching the blonde about generating lightning, he was demotrating the destructive power of lightning by aim it at a rock when suddenly some village children ran by playing.
The blonde jumped in front of them and caught the lightning before shooting it into the sky. it was quite a scare for everyone present but after checking the kids were ok Shyu sent the children home. He looked at the blond seeing he is ok They decided to try it again and he was able to redirect the lightning again. He later discovered he enhanced the power of the lightning with his own bending.
He also came up with a technique called Lightning Aura that is based on the Raikage lightning armor. With it he can fight and defeat Shyu in a spar with no effort.
"You have done well today; you may return to your room," said the Fire Sage. "I have a meeting with the other sages."
"Yes, teacher," the blonde bowed and began to walk to his room.

The blonde thought about what he should do; he could leave here and travel the world, but then he remembered what happened to the villagers in his old village. He knew that war had no victors, only survivors, and that nobody involved was innocent. He made up his mind.
"I will not run," he said. "When will I have to leave for the capital?" He was now filled with determination.
"You will be leaving in seven days. While I understand your decision, I was hoping you would have chosen to live a peaceful life instead of getting involved in this senseless war." The Fire Sage answered sadly, not wanting the blonde to be a part of the war.
After the days training Shyu said he will go back to inform the other sages of your decision. the blonde went back to to the temple but decided he would see if Chia wanted to hangout. as he reach her room he knock on her door and waited for her to answer. the door opened after a few minutes with Chia all water in red bath robes.

"No, no," he replied softly. "I just received word that I'll be going to the Fire Capital in seven days, and I wanted to let you know."
"Oh," she said sadly, with her face falling slightly before she regained a smile. "We will just have to make the most of the time we have together while you're here," she continued, "and I'm sure you will visit when you get the chance." She added with hopefulness in her voice.
"Yes, of course I will visit whenever I get the chance, and I will write to you as much as possible," the blonde said quickly so he worked up the courage to ask her out. "I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk." He asked her nervously.
Giggling, she looked at the blonde before nodding her head. "Give me a second to get ready," she said, closing her room door. "Do not disappoint us," the Great Sage said, "We have put a lot of effort into making you valuable to our nation." Both Shyu and Naruto frowned, but they did not comment.
Naruto and the sages walked to the dock and he boarded the ship along with several other fire nation civilians. the sages remained on the dock as the ship departed, the captain on the ship introduced himself to the blonde as the captain of the ship, he was a gray hair man with golden eyes, he had one of the crew members show him to his room.

AN: Next, we have Naruto's adventure in the Fire Capital, the place he wanted to go at the beginning of his journey, but fate changed that. As for the relationship between Naruto and Chia, I don't know if it will be a long-term thing or if the relationship will come to an end, but he will have other women in his life.
