Batman was on the top of a building watching his city slowly going to rest for a night. He had a special task for today and hoped it would be a quiet night for citizens. He opened an interactive map in front of him. The map had a blue glow with narrow yellow lines all over it. Those yellow lines were tunnels under the city. Batman gave a command to his computer and all yellow lines disappeared except one. It was going from under the abandoned school Batman found a concreted entrance in. Those chemicals were taken under that school and there was no way to get inside without demolition of the whole building.

Batman did some research, pulled old maps and figured out that Gotham City was much older then he thought and the foundation of a tunnel system got established back in eighteen century.

First it was a tunnel system for sewage then a bomb shelter tunnels were added and then a completely new sewage was dug up. Not to forget about a subway tunnel which some of them stood abandoned and had never been brought to use of people. There was a lot of ways those chemicals could be moved underground in any possible direction or several hideouts.

Bruce Wayne spent two days digging through maps trying to see if they connect somewhere but came to conclusion that this fact could be learned only from within. This night Batman was going under the city and not above.

The map of the school shown a basement which was used as a bomb shelter back in days but before there was an old sewage which ended at the river. That sewage end was used to start a new sewage system. Batman decided to check that one out and crossed the city toward the river.

It wasn't easy to find anything what could possibly look like an entrance but there was a small fenced structure behind thick bushes. There was a wire fence surrounding a small building no more than ten square feet with one door only. On that door and the fence were caution signs such as "Danger" "City property" "Do not enter". It was exactly where Batman had to go because inside that building a sewage line began. He broke through the fence and into the building. It was tiny but in the middle was laid a huge metal circle. It was the entrance. Also there was a small plastic chair in the corner, a red first aid kit on the wall and three long and heavy hooks to pull the top off of the sewage entry. The metal top had three holes and Batman figured out there had to be three men working to pull this top off. Could he possibly pull it on his own there was no time to think about it and he took one hook off the wall.

Batman felt all his mussels straightened and got hard as a rock. He pulled for two minutes straight using all his force but the lid just barely moved for an inch.

Bruce decided to regroup and turned on his Bat suit power. He used that function if he was under heavy attack or shooting. The suit gave him extra protection and strength to his mussels. And one more time he pulled that lid and this time it moved more. Nevertheless it took Batman twenty minutes to pull that lid off of the sewage entrance.

He looked down it was dark and steamy down there. He heard some noises of running water, fighting rats and breathing insides of the Gotham City.

Batman went down….
