"Let's wrap up, Taillow, use Wing Attack!" shouted a girl.

"Taillow!" shouted the Pokémon.

The Pokémon, the girl, was giving orders to was a small swallow bird. Its stomach was mainly white, while up near the neck, it began to turn red/pink. At the top of the end was a small triangle where the red/pink color ends and where it began to turn blue. The blue looked like hair on the head. Its talons were a creamish color. It also had a blue tail.

The girl had her Pokémon deliver the finishing blow as she knocked out her opponent.

"... is unable to battle. The winner is Taillow." said the announcer.

"Yes!" shouted the girl as she jumped into the air and did a fist pump.

"Congratulations, here's your proof that you've won," said the Gym Leader as they handed the girl a badge.

"Thanks," said the girl as she took the badge and looked at it. She then pulled out her badge case and placed it while sealing the cover afterward.

"That's your first badge, right? So, any idea on what gym you're gonna challenge next?" asked the Gym Leader.

"Don't know. Honestly, I came here cause this was the closest one," answered the girl.

"I see; well, keep it up. At this rate, you'll qualify for the Equestrian League in no time flat."

"That's the plan. Thanks for the battle, see ya," responded the girl; she waved goodbye to the Gym Leader as they did the same.

The girl exited through the doors as she now stood outside.

"So, how'd it go?" asked a girl who was waiting.

The girl waiting for her friend had pale light grayish olive as her skin color and a pale light grayish rose color in her hair. She wore a pale, light grayish gold scarf, pants, and a white shirt. Her friend that was inside finishing her Gym Battle was a girl who had rainbow-colored hair. She wore a blue short-sleeved button-up shirt and a white shirt. She finished off her set with a pink and white flared skirt with cerulean shorts under it.

"Check out for yourself, Fluttershy," said the girl as she pulled out her badge case and showed her friend the small trinket she earned.

"That's wonderful; I knew you could do it, Rainbow Dash."

"Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without my awesome team of Pokémon. But it was mostly me," said the chromatic teen as she couldn't help but brag about her ego.

The pair of childhood friends made their way to the Pokémon Center, so Rainbow Dash could heal her team. After a while, the chromatic-haired teen got her team of Pokémon as she turned to her friend. Fluttershy was currently petting the Pokémon that belonged to her. The Pokémon was a small, fox-like creature with brown fur. Its muzzle was very catlike, with a small, black, triangular nose. It had a fluffy, cream-colored ruff around its neck and a brown, bushy fox-like tail with a cream-colored tip. It had round brown eyes, long rabbit-like ears, and pink paw pads on its feet. Its paws were small, with three toes and no visible claws.

"That feel nice, Eevee?" asked Fluttershy.

"Eevee," purred the fluffy Pokémon as she enjoyed the petting her trainer gave her.

Rainbow Dash saw the pair, and she couldn't help but smile. She pulled out her blue Pokedex and raised it at Eevee.

"Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. According to current studies, eight different Pokémon evolve from the amazingly adaptive Eevee. Its unstable genetic structure allows for this incredible diversity in Evolution."

"So, have you figured out what you want Eevee to evolve into?" asked Rainbow.

"Well, no," said Fluttershy. "I don't even know what it can evolve into."

"That's why I'm here. Check this out," said Rainbow as she began to touch her Pokedex and pulled up the different evolutions that Eevee could have involved.

"Flareon, the Flame Pokémon and an evolved form of Eevee. Flareon prefers to roast berries with its fiery breath before chowing down. The temperature of its body averages nearly 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit, and the sac where it stores its flames are twice as hot!"

"Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokémon and an evolved form of Eevee. Vaporeon lives near water, and some who see it wandering the shore think it's a mermaid! When submerged, its camouflage is perfect-it can disappear entirely to launch a sneak attack."

"Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon and an evolved form of Eevee. When Jolteon's fur bristles up, don't stand too close-it might be about to call down a lightning strike! Becoming friends with this Pokémon can be difficult because of its high-strung nature."

Espeon, the Sun Pokémon, and an evolved form of Eevee. Espeon doesn't have to see its opponents to sense its movements; its fine fur picks up even the slightest shift in air currents. If the orb on its forehead goes dark, its psychic power is temporarily depleted.

"Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokémon and an evolved form of Eevee. Umbreon's black fur makes it well suited for battles in the dark. It can rely on this camouflage to keep it hidden until it's ready to strike. When it's angry, its sweat turns toxic."

"Leafeon, the Verdant Pokémon and an evolved form of Eevee. Leafeon doesn't need to eat because it uses photosynthesis to generate energy. A newly evolved Leafeon smells fresh and green, like spring grass, while an older one wafts the dry, crisp scent of autumn leaves."

"Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokémon, and an evolved form of Eevee. The icy Glaceon has amazing control over its body temperature. It can freeze its own fur and then smash into an opponent with the spiky icicles."

"Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokémon and an evolved form of Eevee. Sylveon projects a calming aura from its feelers, which look like flowing ribbons. It sometimes uses this aura in battle to trick its opponents into dropping their defenses."

Rainbow's Pokédex had finally finished explaining all the different forms that Eevee could potentially become.

"So, which one caught your eye?" asked Rainbow in excitement.

"Uh, I... don't know... they all seem great in their own way," stuttered the shy teen.

"But if you had to choose?"

"I can't," said the girl softly.

"Choose!" demanded Dash.

"I can't," said Fluttershy getting even quieter and smaller.

"Choose!" echoed Rainbow.

"Rainbow, stop!" shouted Fluttershy as that got the athletic girl to be taken aback by her shy friend.

"Eevee," said the small fox as she came up to Fluttershy. She could sense the girl's feelings and how Rainbow's peer pressure was getting to her. Eevee simply rubbed herself against Fluttershy's leg as it got the shy girl to calm down.

"Thanks, Eevee," smiled the girl at her Pokémon, to which it responded. "Look, Rainbow, I don't care what Eevee involves in. But I know that I'm not gonna rush it to evolve or force it. If Eevee feels like it doesn't want to evolve, then I'm not gonna pressure her. It's her choice, and I'm content with whatever she chooses."

"Eevee," said the fox-like Pokémon as she leaped into Fluttershy's arms and nuzzled her as the girl giggled.

"Can you understand my decision?" asked Fluttershy to her childhood friend.

"Yeah, I get it. Sorry I was being a bit pushy. I just... I just want you to have the best Pokémon possible." said Rainbow.

"And I appreciate you looking out for me. I do. That's why you're my friend. But you also have to respect my choices. I want what's best for Eevee too. But only when she's ready and not anytime before." said the shy teen as Eevee licked her face.

"Alright, you made your point. Now come on, I just figured out where I want to get my next Gym Badge. There's a village that's not too far from here. It's located at the bottom of a volcano that's been dormant for thousands of years. I hear the Gym Leader uses Rock-type Pokémon as his specialty." said Rainbow.

"You sure you can handle him?" asked Fluttershy as she was concerned for her friend.

"Please, nothing can beat me," boasted Dash.

The pair then walked out of the center as they began to follow the trail toward the site of Rainbow's next gym battle. They picked up some supplies to get them through till they reached the site of Rainbow's next gym challenge.

At the same time they were traveling, another group of individuals was doing their thing.

"Turtwig, use Bite!" shouted Sky.

"Shroomish, Seed Bomb!" shouted Applejack.

The trio of teens had decided to stop for lunch. While their food was cooking, Sky challenged Aj to do some practicing as a way for them to prepare for their first gym challenge. Twilight was off with her Pokémon, Espeon, as they kept track of the fire, while the lavender girl was also taking notes in her journal about the battle between her friends.

Turtwig ran forward as Shroomish began to fire off its attack as it tried to get the small creature to back off. Turtwig kept on running forward as it had its mouth open.

"Switch to Stun Spore!" shouted Aj.

"Turtwig, dodge it!" shouted Sky.

Shroomish began to emit a paralyzing cloud of dust as Turtwig quickly moved out of its way to avoid getting hit.

"Tackle!" shouted both trainers.

Both Pokémon ran forward as they looked to headbutt each other. They collided as both held in place, trying to push the other back. Neither Pokémon gave an inch as they put more power into their contest of strength. Soon something began to happen as Shroomish began to skid along the dirt; Turtwig could get a better footing using its back legs as it pushed and tossed the mushroom back.

"Shroom!" shouted Shroomish as it was sent sailing to a nearby tree.

"Shroomish!" shouted Applejack as she went to check on her Pokémon. "You okay, little guy?"

"Shroom," said Shroomish as he replied that he wasn't too badly hurt.

"That's a relief," smiled the farm girl.

Just as Applejack was about to pick up her Pokémon, a large shadow appeared behind the bushes. Its eyes glowed with fury as one could deduce it was angry.

"Aj, look out!" shouted Sky as he saw the girl's danger.

The country gal looked up and saw the shadow. The shadow was a large, blue, winged, bipedal beetle-like Pokémon. It had a capsule-shaped thorax similar to Pinsir's, a pair of yellow eyes, and two clawed arms and feet. A large T-shaped horn was growing from its head, flanked on either side by a smaller antenna.

The Pokémon had been napping in the tree when Sky and Applejack had decided to battle. So when Shroomish was tossed into the tree, the shake not only woke up the Pokémon but made it fall out of the tree and bump its head on the ground below. It rose in anger as it looked at Aj, who it assumed was why it was so pissed off. It raised one of its hands to glow as it looked to strike the girl and her Pokémon.

"Aj, move!" shouted Sky as he ran toward her with Turtwig as they looked to help.

"Espeon, use Quick Attack!" shouted Twilight.

"Espeon!" shouted the Pokémon.

Twilight's partner now zoomed ahead as it ran and collided headfirst with the fist of the Pokémon as it allowed Aj to grab Shroomish and leap out of harm's way. The Pokémon swatted its fist as Espeon was flung but safely landed on its feet.

"You okay, Aj?" asked Sky as he bent down to check on the farm girl and Shroomish.

"Never better, sugarcube," replied the girl as Twilight joined them.

The trio's attention was brought back to the Pokémon that was trying to attack them as it gave a sound.

"That's one pissed-off Heracross," said Sky as Applejack pulled out her Pokédex.

"Heracross, the Single Horn Pokémon. Heracross love to eat sweet nectar. It's proud of its horn and is incredibly strong overall, but it's not good at flying, so it rarely uses its wings."

"Heracross!" shouted the beetle Pokémon as it glared at the farm girl.

"What did I do?" shouted the girl as she didn't like it was staring at her.

"Well, you did wake it up from its nap," replied Twilight.

"How the hell was I supposed to know that?!" replied Applejack.

Heracross then powered up its horn as it was executing Horn Attack. The beetle was now flying towards the teens.

"Move!" shouted Sky.

All three teens dodge rolled out of the Heracross' path as they avoid the attack. The beetle Pokémon collided with another tree as the force and power from its attack knocked down a tree, and some Pidgey resting there began to fly away. Heracross got up and looked at the three teens as it took a fighting stance.

"Now that's some power," said Sky.

"Fine, you wanna wrestle, let's go. Donphan, lend me your strength!" shouted Applejack as she threw her Pokeball.

"Donphan!" shouted the elephant as it appeared.

"Use Rollout!"

Donphan ran and then jumped to turn into a ball as it began to roll forward. Heracross also flew through the air as it was using Megahorn once more. Both attacks met in the middle as a huge rumble made the teens stumble at both Pokémon's power.

"What was that?" said Rainbow as they were in another part of the forest when they heard a small rumble miles away.

Donphan and Heracross skidded along the dirt as they stared at the other. Heracross then opened its mouth as it used Bullet Seed.

"Donphan, Hidden Power!" said Applejack.

The elephant raised its trunk as small orbs of power circled its body. It brought its trunk down as the orbs were sent flying toward the Bullet Seed as they intercepted it. Heracross then began to have its wings pop out again as it flew into the air and used Aerial Ace. While the move wasn't very effective against Donphan, it did have some power behind it as it knocked the Pokémon off its feet and onto its side.

"Donphan, you okay?" asked Applejack as her Pokémon started to stir.

"Here it comes!" shouted Twilight as she pointed to Heracross.

The beetle Pokémon was doing another Megahorn attack as it looked to end the encounter. It was flying toward Donphan as the elephant was getting to its feet.

"Donphan, use Hyper Beam!"

"Hyper Beam?!" shouted Sky and Twilight as they were shocked to learn that.

"Donphan!" shouted the Pokémon.

It opened its mouth as an orange beam began to charge up. It didn't take long as it fired and shot out toward Heracross. The attack was powerful as it made contact with Heracross, who was thrown backward and crashed into the ground as it skidded along, leaving a trail. Before it could have a chance to get up, Applejack adjusted her hat as she threw a Pokéball at the Pokémon. It bounced off the head of the beetle before it opened up and sucked in the creature.

The ball fell to the floor as it began to rock back and forth. The teen looked on as they could see the struggle that was going on. Soon the rocking stopped as the flash in the center of the Pokéball stopped glowing. They all let out a sigh of relief as Applejack approached the Pokéball and grabbed it.

"Looks like you got another comrade to add to your team," said Twilight.

"Sure do. This Heracross could come in handy during my Gym Battle," replied Applejack.

"Meanwhile, I still need one more Pokémon before I can challenge the gym," stated Sky.

A timer went off as it began to ring.

"Lunch is ready," said Twilight as the trio decided to have some lunch.

"What was that?" asked Rainbow as they were in another part of the forest when they heard a small rumble miles away.

"Probably something scary," replied Fluttershy as she hid behind Rainbow.

"Come on, let's get moving. I got a gym battle to win," said Dash as she chose to ignore what they heard and press on.

The pair kept walking for a bit as they passed through some open fields and tall grass. Eventually, they stopped to rest for a bit. Fluttershy was brushing Eevee's fur as Rainbow was near the small river they were stationed at. The chromatic girl was sitting on a rock as she tossed some pebbles that skimmed along the water's surface. Rainbow looked at her badge case as she was thinking about something.

(Flashback)

A young Rainbow Dash was sitting on the floor of her parent's living room as she was watching the TV. The girl was glued to the screen as it showed a rerun of a Pokémon battle. But not just any Pokémon battle; it was a showdown that featured the Equestrian League Champion taking on their latest challenge. The battle was intense as the challenger managed to dwindle the Champion down to their final Pokémon.

As the battle raged on, Rainbow Dash was jumping up and down as she imagined it was her fighting against the Champion. Soon, the battle ended as the Champion had their partner Pokémon deliver the final blow as their opponent went down.

"And there you have it, folks; the Champion retains his title. But make no mistake, his challenger was able to take him to the limit here tonight!" stated the announcer as he did the play-by-play. "Is there no one who can defeat the Champion?"

"Yeah, me!" shouted a young Rainbow Dash as she got to her feet and yelled. "I'm gonna be the Champ, and I'll become the strongest, most awesome Pokémon trainer of all time!"

"Is that so?" said a voice.

The little girl looked at her parents had been watching her jump up and down in front of the TV for quite a while. Rainbow's father was sitting on the couch as her mother was in the kitchen washing some dishes.

"Seems my little girl already has her mind made up," smiled Rainbow's father.

"Totally! Once I get old enough, I'm gonna get strong and challenge the Champion!" expressed Rainbow as she told her parents her life goal.

"In that case, here," said Rainbow's father as he pulled out something.

He gestured for Rainbow to come toward him as the girl obeyed her father. She got on his leg as her father held her. Soon the object grew bigger as it was a Pokéball, which he handed to Dash.

"I was hoping to give this to you for your birthday next week. But... seeing how excited you are. I'd figured now is as good as time as any." said Rainbow's father.

The Pokéball opened as a white light appeared on Rainbow's messy hair. It took shape as soon the Pokémon inside was revealed.

"Taillow!" said the small bird.

"Awesome!" squealed Rainbow as she always wanted a Pokémon, given that all the other kids in her neighborhood already had a Pokémon given to them by their parents.

"Your father knew how much you wanted to have your own Pokémon. So one day, he came across a flock of these little guys and managed to catch one. He knew it would make the perfect present for our amazing little girl." said Rainbow's mother.

"Taillow," said the small bird as it began peaking at Rainbow's messy hair and picked out some small insects to nibble on.

"Thanks, dad!" said Rainbow as she hugged her father tightly for giving her the best gift ever.

"Nothing but the best for my awesome little girl. Just promise me something when you become Champion," said Rainbow's father.

"Yeah," responded the little girl.

"That no matter what happens. You never forget where you come from. Rainbow, as you grow up in life, your priorities change. Some for the better, and some not so. But the most important thing to remember when you realize your dreams it's to never forget your roots. Fame can change people, even when they don't realize it. All I want is our little Rainbow Dash to remain who she is. And that's the most awesome person in the world. Can you promise me that?"

"Sure, dad," replied Rainbow with a smile.

"Can I trust you to keep her from doing anything stupid?" asked Rainbow's father to the small bird on her daughter's head.

"Taillow!" replied the tiny Pokémon to the man.

"Good."

"So, can I go show off my new Pokémon to my friends?!" asked Rainbow with a big smile.

"Sure," sighed Rainbow's father.

"Yes! Thanks, dad. I love you. You too, mom!" shouted Rainbow as she wasted no time hopping off her father's leg and began running out the front door. "Fluttershy, look what I got!"

Dash's parents could hear their daughter shouting as they chuckled.

"She's gonna grow up to be a fine young girl," said Rainbow's mother to her husband as she kissed him.

"Of that, I have no doubt," responded Rainbow's father to his wife.

Rainbow's dream of being the Champion grew as the years went by. During her middle school years, she and Taillow would jump at the chance for any kind of Pokémon battle. Fluttershy would follow them as the athletic girl would always protect her friend whenever she was picked on. As for Fluttershy, the shy girl would do all she could to support her childhood friend. Eventually, Rainbow asked her friend if, when she got older and would go off on her journey if she would like to come along.

And so, as the years passed inched ever closer, Rainbow was getting stronger and stronger with Taillow. She soon asked Fluttershy if she wanted to accompany her on her journey, and the girl said yes. With their plan now set in motion, both girls couldn't wait to go off on their adventure when they got older.

(End of Flashback)

Rainbow opened her eyes as he finished remembering her past.

"I'm gonna be Champion. And no one's gonna stand in my way," spoke the chromatic-haired teen.

"Why, hello, little one," said Fluttershy. "Aren't you just cute?"

Fluttershy was currently sitting on the grass with Eevee when they were approached by someone. It was a worm-like Pokémon that was mainly green in color with a tan underside. Just below its head were four tiny legs used only for movement. On top of its head was a red, "y-shaped" antenna. The small Pokémon made a sound.

"Aww, you're so adorable," said Fluttershy as she continued to pet the Pokémon's head while Eevee came up to greet it. The animal-loving girl pulled out her yellow Pokédex.

"Caterpie, the Worm Pokémon. Caterpie is recommended for trainers just starting their journey-it doesn't require much effort to catch and raise this Pokémon. To repel the Flying types that like to attack it, Caterpie produces a terrible smell from its antennae."

Caterpie made a cute sound as it looked at Fluttershy with its big eyes. It then pointed at its stomach as it growled.

"Aw, are you hungry?" asked Fluttershy as the caterpillar nodded. "Here you go," said the girl as she offered it an Oran Berry, which Caterpie began to munch on.

"Gees, that thing has got an appetite," said Rainbow as she walked over to her friend and saw Fluttershy feeding Caterpie its tenth Oran Berry.

"Poor thing, you must have been starving. What are you doing out here?" asked Fluttershy to the worm.

Caterpie gave some sounds as its tiny legs made some cute motions. While Rainbow didn't understand what was said, Fluttershy simply listened to Caterpie's tale with intrigue. The shy teen then stood up to address her friend.

"He said he was in a tree about to have his daily lunch. But just before he could nibble on some leaves, he was suddenly flung from his tree and tossed miles away."

"Seriously, you understand that little thing?!" stated Rainbow as she had difficulty believing that Fluttershy could translate what Caterpie was saying.

Granted, she knew her animal-loving friend had a way with animals, as often it felt like she was communicating with them. But to think she knew exactly what they were saying was a bit farfetched. Caterpie soon got the attention of girls as they looked at it. The small thing spoke as Fluttershy nodded.

"What's it saying now?" asked Rainbow.

"It's saying that it wants to eat some leaves to help calm down its stomach," said Fluttershy as Caterpie got a bit of a tummy ache from eating so many berries. "But there aren't any trees near our position. Rainbow Dash, do you think you could ask Taillow to find some leaves?"

"Fine," said Rainbow nonchalantly as she called upon her Pokémon.

"Taillow!" shouted the small bird as it appeared and perched itself on Dash's shoulder.

Caterpie quickly hid behind Fluttershy's leg as it was scared of the bird.

"Don't worry, Taillow won't attack you, right, Dash?" said Fluttershy to her friend.

"Why would Taillow waste its time with that thing? No offense, little bug, but you're kind of a weakling," said Rainbow to the bug's face as Caterpie was a bit sad. "Anyways, Taillow, don't bother with the worm. Just find some leaves for it."

"Taillow," responded the bird as it flew off into the air.

Caterpie gave a small cry to Fluttershy as it rubbed her leg.

"Of course, you can come with me," answered the girl.

"Seriously?!" shouted Rainbow. "Fluttershy, you've got to be joking, right?"

"No, I want to take him," answered the girl as she didn't understand what her friend was saying.

"Flutters, I ask you again. You're not seriously considering taking that little worm with you, right?"

"What's so bad about it?" the shy girl innocently asked.

"Take a look at its moveset," stated Rainbow as she pulled out her Pokédex and showed the moves that Caterpie knew. "It only knows Tackle and String Shot. That's it. Maybe it might learn Bug Bite, but come on!"

"But I want to take him," said Fluttershy as she picked up Caterpie and rubbed its nose with hers.

"Fluttershy, look, you're my best friend, and I care about you. But hear me when I say this, that little shit, can't do shit!"

"Rainbow Dash, how can you say that to his face?" asked the girl as Caterpie felt sad.

"I'm just calling it as I see it. The only other Pokémon that's weaker than this guy is a Magikarp. But even then, it can evolve into a Gyarados! This guy I don't think can evolve into anything usefully."

Caterpie felt even sadder at what Rainbow was saying.

"Well, they say big things come in small packages," smiled Fluttershy cutely while holding out Caterpie. The girl not totally understanding what her friend's point was.

"Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it," scoffed the chromatic-haired girl.

At that moment, Taillow reappeared as it was flying above the girl. His shadow was shown as it landed on Dash's shoulder with several leaves in its mouth.

"Great job, bud," said Rainbow as Taillow dropped the leaves in her hand. "Here's your snack."

Fluttershy put Caterpie down as the small worm began to wiggle toward Rainbow. The girl bent to a knee and placed the leaves on the ground. Caterpie arrived at the leaves and began to munch on them as the girls watched. For the small caterpillar, it was letting out happy sounds as its tummy was starting to settle down.

"This little thing isn't gonna do much for Fluttershy in the long run. Hope she finds a better Pokémon soon," said Rainbow to herself.

It was now nighttime, and the two girls were fast asleep. Fluttershy had managed to catch Caterpie as she now had a new friend. While the girls were in their sleeping bags, Eevee, Taillow, and Caterpie were on a nearby stump. The Pokémon were looking at the stars; Caterpie soon began to talk to its new friends.

"Someday, I'm gonna be a beautiful butterfly," said Caterpie.

"Yeah, sure," responded Taillow with a screech as he was in the same boat as Dash.

"There, there, it's okay. I believe you," said Eevee as she patted Caterpie on the head, who got sad hearing Taillow's response.

Caterpie got its spirits lifted a bit from the comfort it got from its new friend.

"What's Fluttershy like?" asked Caterpie.

"She's the most wonderful human I've ever met. She loves Pokémon and takes care of them. Her family runs a hospital where they tend Pokémon with any issues. It's how I came across her." said Eevee.

"What happened?" asked Caterpie.

"I got injured while fighting. I broke my leg and somehow appeared in the backwoods of the hospital. Her parents saw me and took me in. They nursed me and were able to heal my leg. Sometimes at night, Fluttershy would read me a bedtime story."

"That's nice," said Caterpie to Eevee.

"She is. Once my leg healed, they told me that I could be able to return to where I came from. But I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay with Fluttershy. So when they took me to the backwoods and allowed me to enter of my own free will. I instead turned toward Fluttershy. I said to her that I had found my home with her." said Eevee.

"What happened next?" asked Caterpie.

"Her parents gave her a Pokéball so I could always be with her. And from that point on, I was always by her side. And now we're traveling on the road."

"What a sweet story," said Caterpie to its new comrade. "I hope I can be useful too."

"Don't worry, you will," replied Eevee as she gave another pat on Caterpie's head.

The three Pokémon continued to stare at the night stars in silence as the quiet sounds of the forest echoed and served as a lullaby. Eventually, it was time for bed as they snuggled next to their trainers and fell into a deep, calm slumber.

Author's Note: So while it doesn't explicitly say it, Rainbow does have three Pokemon or else she wouldn't have gotten her first badge. Now the gym she won at will be one we'll get to, so don't worry, you'll find out who she defeated. The more important thing is that we finally got introduced to two more cast members and some new Pokemon. So as stated before, whenever someone is shown getting a new companion, I'll provide a list of who has what. So Sky's team is: Turtwig and Noctowl, Aj's team is: Heracross, Shroomish, and Donphan, Twilight has an Espeon, Fluttershy has an Eevee and Caterpie, and Rainbow has Taillow and two mystery Pokemon that will soon be revealed. Any thoughts on what you think it might be? As always leave a review expressing your thoughts and comments and I'll see you in the next chapter.
