"Look out below!" shouted Applejack as she was shown jumping into a lake.

"Alright!" shouted Twilight as she too jumped into the lake behind her friend.

The girls' Pokémon also jumped into the lake as they wanted to cool off. With their goal set on getting to the location of their first gym, the trio had found some extra downtime and were using this opportunity to relax. Well, moreso the girls. Applejack and Twilight had changed into their swimwear as they wanted to take a quick dip in the nearby lake they stumbled upon.

"Would you smell that air? It's so clean and fresh," said Twilight as she was so used to living in the city that she could feel the difference.

"Yup, reminds me of the farm," said Applejack as she reminisced about home.

All the Pokémon let out happy noises as they splashed each other.

"Still, it's a shame that Sky isn't here. You think he'll be fine?" asked Twilight.

"Don't worry, the boy's tougher than he looks," responded Applejack.

The farm girl was referring to the fact that their male companion wasn't with them. The reason being is that Sky was actually a few meters ahead of where the lake was. With them getting ever closer to the village where the gym was located and knowing that he'd need at least one more Pokémon for his battle, Sky decided to go hunting. Or rather, fishing. Seeing how they were near a lake, the boy decided he might try to catch a Water-type Pokémon. Which would be very useful for him in his battle.

The boy was following the lake a bit upstream as he came to a river with a waterfall that led to the body of water the girls were playing in. Sky had a fishing rod, a lure, and some Pokémon food. The teen was determined to get a Pokémon that he wouldn't leave until he caught one. And so, Sky was on a mission.

It didn't take as long as Sky thought it would. Within the first half hour, the boy managed to get several bites. He reeled his line back as he expected something good but was shocked to find it was nothing but Magikarp. The boy knew that Magikarp could evolve into something powerful, but given his circumstances, he couldn't wait to train the fish up before challenging the gym. So he merely tossed them back into the water and tried again.

"Got another bite!" shouted Sky as he pulled on his fishing rod.

The teen got up and began to take steps back while he turned the wheel. He flicked his line up as he pulled in his catch.

"Lotad," said the Pokémon that was hanging off its line.

"Hey, little guy," smiled Sky as he unhooked the Pokémon from his line.

"Tad," said the small Pokémon.

"Sorry, bud. I know I'm fishing for a Pokémon, but uhm, how do I say this, you're not... you're not the kind of Pokémon that suits my style or needs."

"Tad," blinked Lotad while looking at the teen.

"Look, nothing against you, little guy. But, I want a Pokémon that fits my battle style. Plus, I'm trying to win my first gym badge, and I don't want to lose. Especially if I'm not only gonna beat Shining Armor but also Sunset. Again, no hard feelings, but I'm just not vibing with you." expressed Storm.

"Lotad," nodded the Pokémon.

"Thanks for understanding. Well, go on. You're free." gestured Sky.

"Lotad," said the Pokémon as he said goodbye before going back under the water.

Sky waved goodbye to Lotad before recasting his line. The boy kept trying to find and catch a Pokémon he would enjoy having on his team.

"Got another bite!" shouted Sky as he quickly stood up and could feel the line being tugged.

The boy was pulling back as soon the Pokémon revealed itself. It was a small Pokémon that appeared as a bipedal crocodile. While most of its body was blue, it had a yellow, V-shaped marking across its chest, red eyes, spikes that go down its back to its tail, and a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.

"Nice, a Totadile!" said Sky, as he didn't mind having that Pokémon on his team. "I'll take it, now..."

Sky went to grab a Pokéball when he looked back forward, and the Pokémon was gone. The boy sighed as he missed his chance to get a new ally in the blink of an eye. While this was happening, the girls and their Pokémon were having lunch by the lake.

"It feels so nice to just slow down and enjoy the scenario," said Twilight.

"Got that right, Twi," replied Applejack. "You think Sky is okay? He's been gone for quite a while."

"Well, fishing does take time. And knowing him, he's probably trying to find a Pokémon that will suit his needs."

"Hey, what are you two doing!" called out a voice.

The two girls turned their heads in the direction of where the voice came from.

"Don't you know that you're not allowed to be here!" said the voice belonging to a girl younger than the teens.

Both girls and their Pokémon looked at each other as they were confused by what the small girl said.

"Anna, how many times have I told you!" shouted a voice. "You know you shouldn't bother every traveler around here!"

"I know, Rachel, but..."

"Sorry about that," said the woman, "I apologize for my sister's rudeness."

"It's okay," said Twilight as she and Aj weren't offended.

"I'm Rachel, and this is my little sister, Anna. The two of us run this small flower shop."

"Howdy, I'm Applejack."

"And I'm Twilight Sparkle."

"Welcome, you two. I just finished baking a pie. Would you two like to join us for a slice?" asked the woman.

"Yeah, that sounds great," stated Aj.

"Do you think we should go get Sky?" asked Twilight.

"Who's that? A friend of yours?" asked Rachel.

"Yeah, we've been traveling with him for a while now. While we were cooling off in the lake, he said he would go fishing up the stream a bit," said Applejack.

"Well, we'll just save a slice for him," said Rachel.

Speaking of Sky...

"Turtwig, come out!" shouted the boy.

"Twig!"

"Get ready, bud... to attack... whatever comes out of the water!" grunted Sky as he pulled his fishing rod.

"Twig!" saluted the small Pokémon.

Turtwig could see its trainer struggling to pull as it must have been a miracle for Sky to even call him out with one hand on the pole. It then turned its attention to the water as bubbles formed. With one more pull, Sky managed to reel in the line as out popped the Pokémon.

It was a star-shaped Pokémon. Its "arms" were brown. It seemed to have some kind of crystal or gem for a core. The core was surrounded by a yellow or gold "barrier."

"A Staryu, that's pretty good. Turtwig, use Razor Leaf!"

Turtwig heard Sky's command as he flicked the twig on its head to shoot out its attack. Staryu saw it and began to fight back as it fired a Water Gun attack that collided with the Razor Leaf and managed to hold it back. The star shape Pokémon then began to spin rapidly as it was sailing toward Turtwig.

"Turtwig, dodge it!" commanded Sky.

The small Pokémon did just that as Staryu missed its attack. It landed on the shoreline, which meant that Sky and Turtwig had an advantage.

"Turtwig, use Bite!"

Turtwig charged forward quickly with its mouth open. The Pokémon managed to latch on as it grabbed onto one of Staryu's arms.

"Great job, don't let go!" instructed the boy.

Staryu made some sounds as it looked to get Turtwig off it as the bite was starting to take its toll. It then had an idea as it dove into the water with Turtwig still hanging on.

"Turtwig! Oh no!" said Sky as he was now worried.

The boy rushed over to the water's edge and tried to see where the two Pokémon could. Sky was worried as he knew what Staryu was trying to do. By dragging Turtwig, who was attached to its arms, it was trying to force the small creature to let go less he suffocated from lack of oxygen. A few moments passed as the teen some nothing. Just then, bubbles formed on the water's surface as a spray shot out.

"Twig!" shouted Turtwig as it was in the water, and then launched over Sky's head and collided into some bushes.

"Turtwig!" shouted Sky as he rose and raced to the shrubbery behind him.

The boy was digging through the bushes as he looked for his partner. He soon saw his Pokémon as Turtwig on the ground, covered in water.

"Turtwig, are you okay?" asked Sky.

"Twig," said the Pokémon before spitting some water like a fountain.

Sky was relieved to see his partner was okay as he pulled out a small towel and began to try off Turtwig. Turtwig then gave some disappointed sounds as he apologized to his trainer for failing.

"Don't worry about it. You're safe; that's what's most important," said Sky.

"Having trouble fishing?" said a voice.

The boy and Pokémon heard a voice; they saw someone standing there.

"Let me guess, you tried to catch a Pokémon, and it slipped through your fingers?" asked the young man wearing a gardener's outfit.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" asked Sky.

"You're the not first person to pass through here. Plus, I saw the whole thing. Come with me; we'll get Turtwig patched up."

"Sure," replied Sky.

The boy went to get his backpack from near the water as he began to follow the young man. The person was named Seteth, and he informed Sky of a small flower shop he ran with his two younger sisters. While the two younger siblings managed the shop, he was more of the maintenance guy and handled any repairs. In fact, Seteth was currently checking out the main pipeline down by the lake as it had been having some problems as of late. He was examining it, trying to find where the problem was, until he heard some sounds just up the creek. He ventured out as that was when he saw Sky call out Turtwig when they were attempting to catch Staryu.

It didn't take long as both males climbed up the stairway to the flower shop at the top of the hill.

"Rachel, I'm back. Are you here?" called out Seteth, with Sky following behind him.

"In here, Seteth," called Rachel from the kitchen.

"I brought a guest," said the young man as Sky walked in.

"Hey, Sky," said Applejack and Twilight as they saw their friend.

"Oh, you must be Sky," said Rachel as she appeared and shook the boy's hand. "The girls told me that you were fishing."

"Yeah, but kind of had an encounter, and Turtwig got damaged a bit," said Sky.

"Well, fear not, I'll have my little sis attend to Turtwig. In the meantime, help yourself to some pie."

"Thanks so much," said Sky to Rachel as he went to the table.

"So, what happened?" asked Twilight as she and Applejack had just finished their slice of pie.

"Well, I went fishing to catch a Pokémon. Had tons of catches, mostly Magikarp, but failed to get one. And then I managed to reel in a Staryu, but as you can tell, that didn't work out well. Lucky Turtwig didn't take too much damage." said Sky as he stuffed the slice of pie in his mouth from how hungry he was.

"There is a lot of strong Water-type Pokémon around here. The lake serves as their main home. It's also why we decided to open a flower shop here." said Seteth as he sat down and took small bites of his slice.

"I've never tasted anything like this!" said Sky as he was already getting a second slice. "What's inside of the pie?"

"Oran berries," said Rachel. "Because of the mild climate and rich soil, we're able to harvest all kinds of fruit. Which is another reason why we're stationed here. Would you all like to see what else we're growing?"

"I'd love to. Thanks," said Twilight.

"I think we all would," stated Applejack.

"Okay, sis. Turtwig's all healed up," said Anna as the girl appeared with the Pokémon in her hand.

"Twig," replied Turtwig happily as the spray the girl used quickly healed his bruises.

"Good to see you're still kicking, bud," said Sky as he bent to a knee.

"Twig!" said Turtwig as he jumped from Anna's arms into Sky as the boy hugged him.

"Thanks," Sky said to the girl who was younger than him.

"O-oh, it's no t-trouble at all," stuttered Anna as she got to see Sky up close. The girl had some red on her face while tracing her foot in front of her. She then quickly walked away.

"Looks like someone's got a crush," whispered Applejack to Twilight as both girls giggled.

"What are you girls laughing at?" asked Sky.

"Oh, nothing," smiled Twilight as she and Aj kept on snickering while Sky remained to have a confused look.

The teens were then led outside to the garden, amazed by what they saw.

"Wow!" said Applejack.

"The air smells refreshing," said Twilight as she inhaled some.

"This is a great place to raise some Pokémon," said Sky.

"Twig," Turtwig agreed with his trainer.

"Noctowl, come on out!" shouted the boy.

"You heard him, y'all!" said Applejack as she did the same.

"You too!" stated Twilight.

All the Pokémon appeared as they began to inspect the garden. They soon began to play among themselves, with Noctowl hovering in the air.

"They look so happy," said Rachel as she saw how the Pokémon were smiling.

"I raised mah share of crops, but I've never seen a garden like this."

"Well, thanks, Applejack. We also raise all kinds of different berries in our garden. For example..." As she gestured to a tree, Rachel said, "That Oran Berry was in the pie you all ate, and that's a delicious Pecha Berry."

"What the hell is this?" asked Sky as he saw a red berry and grabbed it from a tree.

"Don't eat that. That's called a Tamato Berry, and they're very hot," warned Rachel.

"Good to know," said Sky as he quickly let go. "Though, what's the point of growing a berry like that?"

"All of the berries have effects on Pokémon," answered Rachel.

"What kind of effects?" asked Sky. He soon felt a tug on his arm as Anna clung to him.

"If you crush 'em up into Pokémon food, they do all kinds of things," replied the girl.

"Like what?" asked Applejack.

"They can heal injuries and restore energy. All berries have their own effect. Take that one, for example; that's a Sitrus Berry. If you give them to a Pokémon, they'll be filled with energy." replied Rachel.

"Well, that confirms it," said Seteth as he was near some pipes. "The joints in the main pipe have been damaged. It looks like I'll have to head down there and replace them. Even then, I'm not sure if it'll work."

"Hey, as long as we're here, mind we help out? I mean, it wouldn't be nice to just dine and dash," said Sky.

"Are you sure? We don't want you three to stay here more than intended?" asked Rachel.

"It's no trouble at all. We'd be happy to lend a hand," said Twilight.

"Thank you," said Rachel to the teens for offering to help.

The teens then began to help out the family as well as their Pokémon. The girls took Anna and some buckets to fetch some water while Sky stayed back with Seteth to start replacing some parts. Once the joints in the pipes leading up to the garden were replaced, both males headed down to the lake to replace those. Meanwhile, the girls and their Pokémon kept getting buckets full of water for the garden until the system was up and running.

"Well, that should be the last of it," said Seteth as he and Sky had just finished installing the new pipes.

"So does it work?" asked Sky.

"We're about to see," said the man as he pulled out his radio and began communicating with his sister while looking up at the small home. "Rachel, we just finished; we're about to turn on the system. Tell me if anything happens."

"Standing by," replied the woman.

Seteth approached the main value as he turned it to the right, making the system turn on. A gurgling sound was heard as the water rushed through on the inside as it shot up towards the garden. Up top, the girls were about to pour their buckets of water when a sound was heard. The sprinklers all popped up and began turning on, sprinkling water throughout the garden.

"Big bro, it's working!" said Rachel over the radio.

"We did it!" shouted Anna as everybody gave a hearty cheer.

"Glad to hear," said Seteth while giving a thumbs up to Sky to let him know. "We're heading back up."

"Copy that, over and out."

"Well, let's go," said Seteth to Sky as the pair packed up the tools and began to walk.

They were about to reach the stairs when a Pokémon emerged. The pair stopped in their tracks as they examined it. It was a weasel/river otter-like Pokémon. It had brownish-orange and bright yellow fur. It also had two tufts pointed away in the back of its head and had blue fins on the sides of its arms to use for swimming. Its mouth, stomach, and the two small oval-shaped spots above its eyes were bright yellow, and four other oval-shaped spots were black and on the sides of its cheeks. It had three fingers on its forepaws, two fangs in its mouth, short hind legs, and long three-toed feet. It had bright yellow paw pad undersides on its fore-paws and feet. And a flotation ring around its neck.

"A Buizel," replied Seteth as Sky pulled out his Pokedex.

"Buizel, the Sea Weasel Pokémon. Buizel rapidly spins its two tails to propel itself through the water. The flotation sac around its neck keeps its head up without effort and can deflate the sac to dive."

"So, that's a Buizel, huh?" said Sky as he looked at the Pokémon.

"Yup, that Buizel is one of the strongest ones around here," replied Seteth as he saw the Pokémon begin to nibble on some berries on the ground.

"In that case, I think I found the Water-type Pokémon that fits my style!" exclaimed Sky as he quickly rushed forward.

"Bui?" said the Pokémon as he saw the teen standing a few meters away.

"Alright, Buizel, let's have a battle. Turtwig, I choose you!" shouted Sky.

"Twig!" shouted Turtwig as he appeared in front of the boy, ready to fight.

Buizel merely smirked before finishing its berry in one gulp. It then raised its right paw and gestured for the pair to bring it.

"Now, Turtwig, Razor Leaf!" shouted Sky.

Turtwig flicked the twig on its head as rows of razor-sharp leaves shot out. Buizel immediately jumped into the air as he avoided the attack. While in the air, its twin tails began to glow as it spun with an attack shooting out.

"That's Sonic Boom! Dodge and then use Tackle!" instructed Sky to Turtwig.

Turtwig ran forward as it dodged the multiple Sonic Booms that Buizel was throwing at it. It managed to close the distance in between as Turtwig went for its attack, to which Buizel landed and then jumped once again to avoid being hit.

"No doubt, Buizel has got some jumping power. Alright, follow it up with Bite!" shouted Sky.

Turtwig turned and quickly ran back as Buizel landed. The small green Pokémon managed to get a hit as the weasel Pokémon was sent to the ground, to which Buizel recovered almost immediately and stood on its feet. And within one second, Buizel retaliated by firing several Sonic Booms as they collided with Turtwig head-on as he was flung away.

"Talk about fast recovery time," said Sky as he was amazed by how powerful Buizel was. "Now I really want to catch it. Turtwig, use Tackle once more!"

Turtwig got up and quickly shook itself off. He then began to run forward as he gained momentum and power. Buizel saw the small thing charging and decided to intercept it using its Water Gun attack as a stream of powerful water shot out from its mouth. Turtwig met head-on with the attack as it rallied him to push through. He did that as he got closer and managed to ram into Buizel as the Pokémon was tossed to the ground.

"Pokeball, go!" shouted Sky as he quickly tossed his item.

The ball flew and bounced off Buizel's body as it opened up and sucked in the Pokémon. It fell to the ground and began to wiggle. All the while, both Sky and Turtwig were looking at it to see what would happen. The ball then opened up as out popped Buizel, who was still willing to fight.

"Talk about grit," responded Seteth as he could see that Buizel wasn't making it easy for Sky.

Buizel then glared at Turtwig as the small Pokémon saw him and was concerned about the look Buizel was giving him. Before Sky could have a chance to call out a move, Buizel surrounded itself in a stream of water as it sailed toward Turtwig and crashed into him using Aqua Jet. Turtwig cried as it was sent into the air from the attack, falling into the water below with Buizel diving in after it.

"Turtwig!" shouted Sky.

Turtwig's head popped out a few seconds later as the Pokémon looked around. It knew Buizel was on the hunt but couldn't figure out where it would strike.

"Sky, Turtwig's at a disadvantage in the water," said Seteth.

The boy knew what happened last time Turtwig fought in the water as he called to his Pokémon to get back on land.

"Turtwig, get on the shore, quick!" instructed Sky.

Turtwig then began to swim to the shore. Buizel appeared before the Pokémon as he stopped Turtwig from getting back on land. It made the Pokémon gasp as Buizel jumped into the air and did a diving kick with one of its legs as he managed to push Turtwig under the water once again. The pair were underwater as Sky couldn't see what was going on. Buizel had its foot to Turtwig's cheek as he kept pushing the Pokémon farther down. He then removed his paw and did a Sonic Boom while in the water as it was coming at Turtwig with no way to escape.

"Turtwig!" shouted Sky as he scanned the water for his Pokémon.

The boy saw water shoot out as Sky covered up to avoid getting too wet. He looked up as Turtwig was flying through the air as he was hit hard while underwater.

"I got you, bud!" shouted Sky as he began to run and jump.

The boy managed to catch Turtwig in his arms as he landed hard on the ground while protecting his pal. Turtwig was covered in scuffs as he looked at Sky, who was willing to put his own body at risk just to soften his landing.

"Are you okay, bud?" asked Sky to Turtwig, who was in his arms.

"Twig?" asked Turtwig as he was concerned for his trainer.

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine. Can you still battle?"

"Twig!" declared Turtwig as he hopped out of Sky's arms.

"Alright, use Synthesis!" instructed the boy.

Turtwig began to glow as it sought to heal its wounds and regain some health. Buizel popped out of the water at that moment as the Pokémon was still raring to go. Turtwig had just finished Synthesis as both Pokémon looked to start round 2 of their fight.

"Razor Leaf!" shouted Sky.

Turtwig fired Razor Leaf as Buizel countered by doing Water Gun. Both attacks met in the middle as it was a stalemate. At least for a few moments. Buizel's Water Gun attack proved to be a bit more powerful as it was pushing back Turtwig's Razor Leaf and about to reach the Pokémon. It made contact as Turtwig was flung into the air again.

"Get back in there and use Bite!" instructed Sky.

Turtwig then changed its position and began to attack Buizel while the pair were in the air for a bit. Each time, Turtwig tried to attack Buizel, the Pokémon kept moving to the side. It then had an opening as it delivered a Sonic Boom attack.

"Dodge it!" said Sky as Turtwig managed to evade the attack as they started dropping back to the ground.

Buizel landed first as it immediately used Aqua Jet and was zooming toward Turtwig. The small green Pokémon was about to touch the ground when it was hit by Buizel, who sent it sail back into the air as he fell.

"Hang in there! Use Razor Leaf!"

Turtwig heard Sky's order as he turned himself to get a good angle at Buizel as he fired his attack. Buizel managed to get out of using its Aqua Jet move and avoid the attack at the last second. While in the air, he fired a Water Gun as he aimed downward.

"Dodge it!" shouted the boy.

Turtwig was back on the ground as it began to jump out of the way of Buizel's attack. While he avoided the attack, Buizel fell head first behind Turtwig so the small Pokémon couldn't see him. As a result, it allowed Buizel to fire a surprise Water Gun attack that hit Turtwig in the back as he crashed into some rocks.

"Buizel dodges every attack that Turtwig throws," said Seteth as he observed the battle.

Buizel mocked the pair as he gestured to them with his right forepaw.

"We're not done yet! Turtwig, spin and use Razor Leaf!" instructed Sky.

Turtwig leaped into the air and began to spin backward as it shot out its attack. The leaves were heading toward Buizel as he expected them to hit him, but instead, the leaves circled the Pokémon as he didn't know what was going on.

"Now, jump and use Tackle!" shouted Sky.

Turtwig leaped into the air and positioned himself to fall headfirst at Buizel. The weasel saw Turtwig as he looked to intercept. The leaves surrounding Buizel began to attack as they collided with the Pokémon, who felt the supereffective attack. He grunted and shook them off before using Auqa Jet to shoot upwards and intercept Turtwig. The two met in midair. Both Pokémon put more power into their attacks as Turtwig rallied and managed to outpower Buizel. The water Pokémon fell to the ground.

"Go, Pokéball!" shouted Sky as he was hoping this time he would successfully catch Buizel.

The ball flew through the air as it bounced off Buizel and sucked in the Pokémon. It closed as it fell to the ground and began to wobble back and forth. Once more, Sky and Turtwig looked on, with the latter panting excessively hard from all the extra power it put into its Tackle attack to get Buizel on the ground. The ball stopped wiggling as it popped open again, and Buizel was free.

"Son of a bitch!" shouted Sky as he couldn't believe Buizel was still unwilling to submit.

Buizel didn't allow the pair any time to counterattack as it did a Sonic Boom. The attack hit Turtwig as the Pokémon was sent sailing into the water again.

"Turtwig, no!" shouted Sky as he knew the danger of being in the water against Buizel.

Turtwig surfaced, but the expression on his face was one of exhaustion.

"Sky, you better do something quick. Turtwig is worn out from fighting against Buizel," informed Seteth to the teen.

"Yeah, but what?" asked Sky as he couldn't think of anything.

Buizel was already making its move as it did Aqua Jet and was heading toward Turtwig.

"Turtwig, dive below the water!"

"What?!" said Seteth as he figured Sky would want to avoid a battle in the water with Buizel.

Turtwig obeyed as it took one huge breath and dived under the water. Buizel also dived as it looked to finish Turtwig off. Under the water, Turtwig managed to swim out of Buizel's Aqua Jet when he dived. Still, the weasel used its tails, propelled itself to change direction, and headed back to Turtwig as another Aqua Jet attack was initiated. It hit Turtwig as they shot out of the water with Turtwig at the tip of the point as he held on.

"Right there, now use Bite!" said Sky.

Turtwig found to will to rally himself as he brought down his mouth on Buizel's attack. The bite pierced through the water and sunk into Buizel's head as the Pokémon felt the pain of Turtwig's strong jaws. Turtwig then flung the Pokémon downwards as they were heading toward the ground.

"Now, Razor Leaf!" yelled Sky.

Turtwig was directly above Buizel as it launched its attack. The leaves hit Buizel's stomach as they added more momentum to Buizel's fall. The Pokémon hit the shore as a crater formed in its shape.

"One more time," muttered Sky as he took a deep breath. "All or nothing! Pokéball, go!"

The boy threw his Pokéball one more time as he could tell this would be the last. Whether he managed to catch or fail, this was his last chance. The ball flew through the air as it bounced off Buizel's body a third time and sucked in the Pokémon. The top closed as the ball fell to the floor. Now it was a matter of patience as it began to rock back and forth. Turtwig landed and was heavily bruised from the long battle as it suffered even more battle scuffs.

Sky and Seteth looked on as the Pokéball was wiggling the fastest it'd been. It almost served as some doubt for the teen as he felt like this would end badly. Soon the flashing on the ball picked up... before it died down and a sound was heard. Sky smiled before falling to his knees and then to the ground, as did Turtwig.

"Sky! Sky, are you okay?" asked Seteth as he ran toward the fallen teen and his Pokémon. The young man rocked the boy to see if he was still alive.

"Hey, Seteth. Mind bringing me that Pokéball?" asked Sky as he was too weak to get up.

"Sure," replied the young man as he went to fetch the small ball on the ground. He picked it up and returned to where Sky was as he handed it to him.

"I finally... did it," said Sky as he held the Pokéball Buizel was in.

"Twig," replied Turtwig as he was tired from the battle.

"Great work, bud," said Sky as he put his finger out, and Turtwig touched it with one of his stubby legs.

"So, I guess I'm carrying you two, huh?" asked Seteth as he could tell both were exhausted to even move a muscle.

Once Seteth could put Sky on his back, he began to head back to the flower shop. He arrived as the girls were concerned as to what happened. He informed them that Sky came across a superstrong Buizel as he wanted to catch it for his Gym battle.

Once the pair regained their strength, the trio was starting to get ready to hit the road as the village where the Gym was located was just a few miles ahead.

"Once again, we're thankful for all your help," expressed Rachel.

"It was no trouble at all. Besides, I managed to get a super strong Pokémon. I can't wait to use Buizel in my upcoming battle." said Sky with an excited smile.

"Here, you go, Twilight. I made you a list of all the berries like you requested," responded Anna.

"Thanks, this will surely help us on our journey," said the teen to the girl.

"The village is just up ahead, you three. Sky and Applejack, good luck in your respective battles," said Seteth to the teens.

"Thanks," said Aj as she tipped her hat at them.

The three began to walk as they waved goodbye to the family and returned the gesture. With the addition of Sky's latest Pokémon, the boy was oozing with confidence as the sight of the first Gym lay before them. Applejack and Sky were now fully prepared for what awaited them at the sight of the first gym. But it wasn't just them, as two more individuals were shown approaching the destination.

"There it is!" said Rainbow as she stood on the hill overlooking the village with Fluttershy. "Time for me to win my second badge."

"Time to prove Celestia wrong!" said Sunset as she was at the village's entrance.
