Deep in the forest, the smell of lunch was in the air. Sky, Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight were all getting the table set to eat. All of their Pokémon were out and about, some even helping to get things ready. A small game of tag was taking place between Turtwig and Espeon. Up in a tree, Heracross was reaching for a berry and about to eat it when he heard a noise from below. He saw Rarity's Delcatty looking up and asking the Pokémon to toss down the fruit.

The bettle made a face to mock the feline for not being able to get the fruit herself. Heracross lifted his head as he failed to realize how low the branch was; he banged his head on it, which sent pain throughout his body and caused him to let go of the berry. The small thing fell and landed by Delcatty as she snickered and began to munch on the fruit. She eventually finished it while wiping her mouth like a proper lady.

Heracross then jumped down and was upset with Delcatty for eating the berry he was going to eat. Delcatty gave a hefty response as she turned around and raised her tail up high in Heracross' face, offended by what her ally said to her.

At that moment, Pikachu and Sewaddle arrived as the yellow mouse sensed that his friends were about to get into an argument. The electric Pokémon tried to reason with his pals to not fight each other as both looked at the smaller Pokémon and smacked him to the side as they didn't want to listen to what he said.

Pikachu let out a cry as he collided back first with a nearby tree. Sewaddle was now running back and forth with a panicked look on his face as he didn't know what to do; Heracross and Delcatty were now glaring at each other as they were looking to fight each other. Heracross then began to use Bullet Seed as Delcatty used Blizzard; the two attacks made contact as an explosion cloud shot up from the forest so that anybody nearby could see it.

The trainers heard the sound, and they wondered what it was. The explosion cloud ceased as it revealed that Heracross and Delcatty were now in a brawl as their heads popped out every second. The teens had arrived, and they saw their Pokémon fighting each other.

"Hey, you two, cut it out!" said Sky.

"Stop it right now!" stated Twilight.

The two's voices fell on deaf ears as the two Pokémon were still fighting.

"Applejack, get your filthy beetle off my Delcatty. Her fur is delicate and prim!" shouted Rarity.

"Filthy?! Who you callin' filthy?!" shouted the farm girl as she got in the face of the fashionista.

The two glared at each other as it seemed like they were about to get into a tussle, just like their Pokémon. Pikachu recovered as he jumped and looked to get in between the two to attempt to stop the fighting. Heracross was shown using Focus Punch as he was looking to hit Delcatty but instead got Pikachu in the cheek as his head turned. Delcatty was using Iron Tail in an attempt to hit the bettle but instead battered the small electric mouse as he was caught in the line of fire. The mouse felt the pain from both attacks as he charged up and let loose a jolt of electricity that shocked both Heracross and Delcatty, who had been electrocuted.

"Sky, what the hell did Pikachu do that for?!" shouted Aj as she got in the face of the boy and grabbed his shirt, almost like she was about to punch him for what his Pokémon did to hers.

"You can't treat my Delcatty like that! Her fur is sensitive!" yelled Rarity as she grabbed Sky and glared at him.

The boy was now surrounded on both sides by the girls as they looked to hurt him for what Pikachu did.

"Hold on!" said Twilight as she managed to get Rarity and Applejack to stop before they hurt their friend. "Pikachu was only breaking them up!"

Twilight pointed as they all looked. Heracross sat on his bottom as he had a painful look while Delcatty was on her back as she sat up with her fur now standing up from the electricity that flowed through it. Both had apologetic looks on their faces as Pikachu stood proudly in the middle.

"Pikachu, is that true?" asked Sky.

"Pika, pika!" declared the mouse.

"Thanks. Good job!" said the boy as Pikachu jumped onto his arm and ran to his other side, nuzzling his left cheek to show his affection.

The boy was laughing as Pikachu continued to nuzzle his cheek. He patted his head as Pikachu adored that. The girls were also smiling, seeing the pair when their mood would take a change in a second.

"Pathetic!"

Sky turned as the girls looked behind. Standing there was someone who they hadn't seen in quite a while.

"It's Sunset!" said Sky as he saw his rival's face.

The girl was shown as her expression then changed into a smirk.

After leaving Cloudsdale, our heroes were on their way toward Aj and Sky's next Gym Battle. But little did they suspect a certain aggressive trainer named Sunset would stop by to slow things down.

The two sides were shown as it showed Sky and the girls with all of their Pokémon looking at Sunset, who stood there looking at the group.

"Boy, Sunset, you sure like showing up out of nowhere, don't you?" stated Sky.

"I'm just out here doing a little training to get ready for my next Gym Battle," stated the girl.

"I just won my Cloudsdale Gym Battle; how many badges do you have now?" asked Sky.

"That's none of your business!" stated Sunset as the boy glared.

Sunset's eye caught something as she saw the yellow mouse on the boy's shoulder.

"Am I seeing things, or is that Pikachu one of your new Pokémon?" asked Sunset.

"Yeah! You're not seeing things!" said Sky with a smile as he looked at Pikachu. "We're talking strong!"

"Pika!" said Pikachu as he greeted the girl.

"Doesn't look like much to me," snickered Sunset.

"What?!" shouted Sky as he and Pikachu took offense to what Sunset said. "Well, why don't we have a battle, and you can find OUT! I got three Pokémon this time, so let's have an official battle!"

"FINE!" stated Sunset as she locked eyes with the boy. "Our last battle left a bad taste in my mouth, and I want to give my friend here a chance to humiliate you!" The girl tossed her Pokéball as it opened up.

"Jolteon!" shouted the Pokémon as he appeared.

Both electric Pokémon locked eyes with each other as they growled. The electricity flowing through them was shown as it seemed like a thunderstorm was about to occur, given how fierce they were looking at their foe.

"Pikachu, how do you feel about battling right now?" asked Sky to his Pokémon.

The mouse nodded as he jumped off his shoulder and landed in front of Sky.

"Girls, who is that?" asked Rarity, as she was unaware of who Sunset was.

"Someone who is Sky's opposite," stated Twilight.

"Sky, be careful! You know what happened last time," said Aj as she was there when the two first encountered her.

"Don't worry, Aj. Pikachu and I are gonna win!" said Sky as he was full of confidence.

"I'll be the referee," said Twilight.

"Ah, don't waste your time!" said Sunset to the bookworm, "There'll be no doubt who wins." She smiled smugly at Sky, who glared right back at her with Pikachu.

The group was now near a waterfall, as it had plenty of open space for the two trainers to battle. Sky and Sunset stood apart as they had their respective Pokémon in front of them. The girls were sitting on a log as they were about to watch the battle unfold between the two rivals.

"You can go first," taunted Sunset.

"I'm not holding anything back! Pikachu, use Quick Attack!"

Pikachu took off and ran at high speed with a trail of white light following him.

"Protect!" instructed Sunset.

Jolteon heard her command as he put up a barrier that Pikachu collided with and was flung back into the air.

"Now use Double Kick!" said the bacon-haired teen.

"That's fast!" said Rarity, amazed to see how quickly Jolteon responded to Sunset calling out a move after its previous one.

"Pikachu, dodge it!" said Sky.

The yellow mouse stood there with a determined look. Jolteon had its back legs glow as he turned his body, and they came crashing into the Pokémon as his head turned, but he stood his ground.

"Why didn't Pikachu dodge it like I said?" said Sky as he was stunned to see that Pikachu chose to tank the hit instead of avoiding them, "Now use Thunderbolt!"

Jolteon landed as it did some backflips to avoid the electricity from Pikachu.

"That Jolteon sure can move," said Applejack.

One of the bolts made contact as Jolteon stood there and tanked the hit as if nothing had happened.

"I know electric-type moves don't do much against the same type, but shouldn't Jolteon have felt at least something," said Rarity, given how strong Pikachu's Thunderbolt was.

"Normally, that's true, but Jolteon has the ability: Volt Absorb. So any electric type moves that it comes into contact with can cause it to heal instead," said Twilight.

"So that means the only way Sky is gonna deal damage to Jolteon is if he has Pikachu use either Iron Tail or Quick Attack," stated Rarity as it seemed that Sunset picked the perfect counter to the boy's Pokémon.

"Discharge!" shouted the bacon-haired girl.

Jolteon charged up before he let loose his own electricity.

"Jolteon has also got stronger since last time!" said Aj as she saw how much more powerful Discharge was when Sunset used it against Rockhoof's Onix.

"Dodge it this time, Pikachu!" stated Sky.

Once again, Pikachu didn't listen to the boy as he stood there and tanked the attack. Despite not doing much, Pikachu could feel pain from Jolteon's electricity.

"Why don't you dodge it?" asked Sky to his Pokémon as he tumbled and stopped in front of him.

Pikachu merely stood up and shook itself as it began to rally.

"Alright, then, use Iron Tail!" said Sky.

The small yellow mouse ran forward as its tail glowed behind him and had a metal coating.

"A waste of time!" scoffed Sunset. "Now, Jolteon, Protect!"

Jolteon put up another barrier as Pikachu leaped into the air and twisted its body so its tail would slam on its target. The tail hit the shield as it held there for a sec; seeing if it could break through it, Jolteon held on and forced the Pokémon to fall back.

"Now, finish with Quick Attack!" said Sunset.

Jolteon took off at high speed as he headed straight for Pikachu, who stood there.

"Come on, Pikachu! This time you gotta dodge!" said Sky.

Once again, Pikachu ignored the command from his trainer as Jolteon collided head-first with the mouse, who was flung back and let out a painful cry. He tumbled along the dirt as he stopped by Sky's feet. Pikachu soon got up and shook himself as he wasn't done yet.

"Why do you refuse to dodge Pikachu?" asked Sky to his Pokémon.

"Are you done yet?" scoffed Sunset.

"Course not! Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!" said Sky.

"Quick Attack!" shouted Sunset.

The two Pokémon ran as they had their attacks encase themselves. They collided in the middle as a massive wind effect occurred. The girls all put their arms up to cover their faces with their heads turned. The wind made their clothes flap as Sky and Sunset had one arm up to their face. Soon the attack's wind was so powerful that it knocked both Pokémon off their feet, and the trainers, Sky and Sunset, were flung off their feet and off the side of the cliff.

"Sky!" shouted the girls as they got up and ran toward the cliff's edge.

Sunset and Sky were falling as the boy was letting out a scream. Sunset kept a relaxed look as they were falling rather rapidly. Many rocks passed them by as they fell when a branch below the girl was coming up. Sunset and Jolteon landed on the tree branch before jumping to another ledge quickly, then jumping to another. The girl and her Pokémon were doing this process as they went down.

"Pikachu!" shouted Sky as he dived head-first to the ground below.

The boy saw his Pokémon next to him as he put his arms out and grabbed his Pokémon. He pulled the electricity mouse close to his chest as he was looking to protect his buddy. Soon they crashed as they hit the water pond below; a giant splash shot into the air as on the shore, Sunset and Jolteon landed with the girl standing up, flipping her hair in a sexy motion.

She turned as Sky and Pikachu surfaced, gasping for air. The boy had his right arm on the shore as he looked at his Pokémon.

"Hey, Pikachu, are you okay?"

"Pika," affirmed the Pokémon to his trainer.

"Hey, y'all!" shouted Applejack from the waterfall.

"Are you alright?!" yelled Rarity as she bent over a bit to look down.

"Yeah! Don't worry!" shouted Sky from down below.

"Let's meet up on the far side of the forest!" stated Twilight as she pointed in the distance behind the boy.

"Sounds good to me!" said Sky as he waved at the girls above.

The girls then took off as they had to stop to gather their things and the rest of Sky's Pokémon. The boy turned as he heard the sound of Sunset, recalling Jolteon and starting to walk into the forest with her hands in her pockets.

"Sunset, where are you going?" said the boy as she kept walking. "Hey, wait up!" He went after her with Pikachu following close by.

The boy ran in as it panned upward to show that the forest was part of a valley stretching for a good mile. The sound of different Pokémon was heard as the forest was also dense and dark, with only small clearings every so often with an overhead view of light entering. An Ekans was shown slithering along a tree as Sunset walked past it, hoping to get out of the forest.

"Slow down, Sunset!" called out Sky as he and Pikachu tried to catch up with the girl.

He soon caught up to her as he walked beside her.

"What are you doing?" asked the boy.

"What does it look like? I'm getting out of here," said the girl, keeping her head down and eyes closed.

"Well, since all of us are getting out of here, let's just get out together," suggested Sky.

"That sounds stupid," replied the bacon-haired teen with a calm tone.

"Hey, what's so stupid about helping each other out?" asked Sky with the same laid-back tone.

"I don't need any help, alright! Especially from a little kid like YOU!" stated the girl as she turned to look at the boy directly.

"Fine then! But this forest is thick," said Sky. "And maybe we kids should get moving. Maybe even hold hands so we don't get lost."

"Must we hold hands," scoffed Sunset bluntly.

"Yeesh! Your sense of humor is duller than Aegislash's blade," stated Sky as he was looking to get Sunset to smile at his joke.

"Whatever!" scoffed the girl as she turned and made her hair smack the boy in the face.

Sky took in the scent of Sunset's hair as it smelled of cinnamon when he got smacked with it. The girl began to head deeper into the forest.

"What's with that girl?" said Sky.

"While talking to yourself, you better keep an eye out for Ghost Pokémon. This tends to home to lots of them," warned Sunset to the boy as she walked off.

Back with the girls, they had their backpacks on as Twilight had a small pamphlet map she was looking at.

"Okay, we need to figure out the best way to get out of here," said the bookworm as she looked at her map; her eyes then widened at what she saw.

"What's the matter, Twi?" asked Aj as she saw her expression.

"I think Sky and Sunset are in trouble."

"Why's that, darling?" pondered Rarity.

The purple-haired girl then flipped her book to show the forest they were near as it was labeled with the icon for Ghost Pokémon.

Sky was shown walking through the forest as Pikachu followed closely on all four.

"If we keep going this way, we'll be out of here soon," stated the boy.

"Pika," said Pikachu with a determined response.

The pair heard a sound as they turned to their left to see some bushes. The bushes rustled a bit before a Ghastly appeared and gave a threatening sound to the pair.

"Sunset was right," said Sky as he pulled out his Pokédex.

"Ghastly the Gas Pokémon. Ghastly likes to lurk in abandoned buildings, where its presence sometimes causes strange lights to flicker. This gaseous Pokémon is hard to see but gives a surprisingly delicate, sweet scent."

Ghastly then had its eyes glow as the air around it began to warp. Sky saw and felt it as he stood in place, as Pikachu himself was also affected by what the ghost was doing. A flash of light occurred as the pair found themselves in a meadow with a dark sky above them when it was over.

"Whoa, you got an idea where we are?" asked Sky to his Pokémon.

"Pikachu," the small yellow mouse responded, as he had no clue.

The pair walked forward with nothing else but to do, hoping they would run into something. As they were walking, the meadow they were on soon changed as it transformed into solid ground. The scenario around them changed before Ghastly did his trick, as the pair was now back at the waterfall.

"This can't be right. We're back where we started!" said Sky.

"Pika," stated the mouse as he was even more confused.

"I sure wish you could tell me what you were saying," said Sky as Pikachu responded that when translated, he agreed as the two headed back into the forest.

The pair were back in the forest as they looked around while walking. Soon they stopped as something was in front of them; it was another Ghost Pokémon.

"Driftloon the Balloon Pokémon. Scary stories are told of children who took hold of Driftloon's dangling strings and were never seen again. The spirit within its floating body is barely contained; any puncture could send it spilling out with a ghostly shriek."

Before Sky could say anything, the Driftloon had its eyes glow as the area around the trainer and his Pokémon began to warp. Another flash of light occurred before it ceased as the sun was shown high above. It panned down as it showed the pair surrounded by sand.

"A desert in the middle of a forest?" said Sky.

"Pika," said Pikachu.

"Hey, wait a minute, this is probably the Ghost Pokémon using their powers to warp reality. Pikachu, use Thunderbolt on me!" stated Sky.

"Pika?" said the mouse as he was shocked to hear his trainer saying to give him a shock.

"Don't worry about it! Just give me a good shock!" said the boy as he closed his eyes and prepared himself.

Pikachu looked at his trainer before he shrugged his shoulders. The small mouse then charged up, and he let loose a powerful Thunderbolt as it shocked Sky, who was enveloped in a yellow light. It worked as the pair were now back in reality. Pikachu stopped his Thunderbolt, and Sky fell to his knees with smoke coming from his body.

"Pika?" said Pikachu as he was worried for the boy.

"Okay, that did it!" said Sky as he grunted.

As the boy got up, more Ghost Pokémon appeared from all the bushes around them.

"Oh shit!" said Sky as he and Pikachu were surrounded. "Okay, just don't look," stated the boy as he put his head down to devise a plan.

As soon as he lifted his head, a Gengar looked directly into his eyes as all around them, the other Ghost Pokémon all had their eyes glow as they surrounded the pair. They used their powers to warp reality once again.

"Fuck! I looked!" said Sky's inner voice.

The pair were now surrounded by water as Sky was swimming with Pikachu on his back as if the mouse was surfing.

"Ain't this a please ride. Swimming through the ocean," said Sky to his Pokémon as he nodded. "Come on, let's go find the others."

While inside their warped reality, they were swimming. On the outside, the pair had their eyes closed as Sky was making swimming motions with his arms. The Ghost Pokémon around still used their powers on the pair.

"You got to be shitting me!" said Sunset as she happened to be nearby and saw the two being affected by the Hypnosis of the Pokémon.

"Fletchling! Help the losers out with Razor Wind!" stated Sunset as she threw her Pokéball.

Fletching appeared as it powered his small wings and tossed out several sharp winds as it flew over the heads of the Pokémon who saw it and got startled. They all fled as their powers ceased, and Sky and Pikachu stood up. The boy blinked before he looked directly in front of him to see Sunset and Fletchling.

"Sunset..."

Before Sky could say anything, a Stantler approached them. Sky quickly moved to the side to avoid being hypnotized again. The Pokémon stared down Sunset and Fletchling as it sought a fight.

"Fletchling, use Razor Wind!" shouted Sunset.

Fletchling soared toward the deer as its wings glowed and threw out more sharp winds. It collided with Stantler as the Pokémon felt it.

"Pokéball, go!" stated the girl as she threw the round object at the deer.

It bounced off the deer before opening up, and a red light sucked it in. The ball closed as it fell to the floor and wobbled. It soon ended as the red light stopped flashing, and a sound was heard.

"Sunset! Thanks for helping us!" said Sky.

"Yeah, whatever!" said the girl as she picked up her Pokéball.

The bacon-haired teen pulled out her Pokédex as the scanner on it began to scan her Pokémon. The Pokédex gave her some general information to read as the moves the Stantler knew came up.

"What a shit Pokémon!" said Sunset as she read what moves the Stantler knew as it wouldn't be much use for anyone.

The girl pushed the button on her ball as she tossed it. It opened up as a bluish-white light appeared to signal that Sunset had released the Pokémon she had caught. The Stantler gave a grunt as he trotted away.

"I thought you were gonna keep it," said Sky.

"Please," scoffed the girl as she walked. "I can't believe I wasted my time with that one..."

The girl muttered to herself as she walked away. Sky looked at her as he watched Sunset disappear.

Meanwhile, with the others, they had just reached the forest.

"So, what's the deal with this forest?" asked Aj.

"It's home to a lot of Ghost Pokémon that like to confuse any people that wander into their home," said Twilight.

"Oh, dear. I hope Sky and Sunset are alright," stated Rarity with a worried tone as their bookworm friend.

"Espeon, come on out!" said Twilight as she called on her partner.

"Espeon!" said the small feline.

"We're gonna need you to guide us and steer clear of any Ghost Pokémon. Use your psychic powers to detect them," stated Twilight.

Espeon nodded as she turned around, and the gem on her forehead and eyes glowed. She then began to walk as the girls followed close by.

Back with Sky and Pikachu, the yellow mouse was standing at the bottom of a tree as he looked up. The boy jumped down as he climbed the tree to get something.

"Can't do much on an empty stomach," said Sky, as they hadn't had anything to eat before Sunset showed up. "Here!"

Sky offered Pikachu an apple he picked as the small mouse Pokémon put his hand out and waved it off, refusing to take the fruit from his trainer.

"Come on! You gotta eat something!" said Sky as he sat down and pushed the fruit in Pikachu's direction.

Pikachu once again refused before he used his tail and smacked the apple into Sky's face.

"What's with you?!" stated Sky. "You know, you can be stubborn when you want to be!"

"Pika!" said Pikachus dismissively.

"Oh, come on, you are too!" stated Sky as he thought of something, "Of course! That explains why you didn't dodge when I told you to back when we were battling Sunset!"

Pikachu was merely looking up at the open sky as clouds rolled by.

"Pika!" said Pikachu giving another dismissive response.

Soon a growling was heard as it wasn't coming from Sky. Pikachu's stomach made some noises as the small mouse was now embarrassed that his tummy was telling him that he was hungry and that he had rejected the fruit offered by his trainer.

"I knew you were hungry! You can't fool me!" chuckled Sky as he broke the apple into two halves. "Here, you can have half of mine."

"Pika," said the Pokémon as he looked at the fruit and considered it.

He put his paw on the apple as Sky smiled. Pikachu then sat on his hind and began to munch on it as Sky did the same.

"See? What did I tell you?" said Sky as he swallowed and wiped his mouth. "Now listen, you and I are buddies, so we don't need to act like we don't know each other."

Pikachu looked confused as he sat holding his apple and looked at his trainer.

"I only asked you to dodge when we battled 'cause it was the right thing to do," stated the boy.

Pikachu gave a reluctant response as he turned his head.

"So you and I will keep working, and we'll end up the strongest we can be," said Sky as he picked up his Pokémon and held him. "Deal?"

Pikachu merely looked into his trainer's face as he sighed and responded happily. He then wiggled free as he climbed onto his shoulder and began to lick his face. The teen lifted his hand to pet Pikachu's head as the Pokémon enjoyed it. The two laughed when a sound was heard in front of them that caught their attention.

A Haunter appeared before them as he looked at the pair.

"Pikachu, whatever you do, don't look!" shouted Sky as he closed his eyes and booked it. Pikachu was holding onto Sky's shoulder as he closed his eyes.

However, with their eyes closed, they ran smack into a tree. The tree happened to belong to a nest of Beedrill as they popped out from behind and were angry at the pair.

"Beedrill!" said Sky in a scared tone as he took off again, as Pikachu continued to hold on.

The Haunter watching them didn't know what to make of what he saw as the Beedrills began to chase after the teen. Speaking of teens, the girls were in the forest following Twilight's Espeon as she guided them in an attempt to find their friend. The small Pokémon stopped in her tracks.

"What's the matter, Espeon? You sense something?" asked Twilight to her Pokémon.

"Espeon!"

The Pokémon did sense something as she looked around. Soon a scream was heard, and the girls turned their heads in the direction it came from. Sky was shown running as he let out a yell.

"Hey, Sky!" called out the girls as they waved their hands up high to signal the boy. Soon they saw something chasing the teen.

"Run!" shouted the boy as the Beedrill appeared behind him as the girls saw it.

"Beedrill!" shouted the girls.

"Move!" said the boy as he ran past them, and they took off.

"What did you do now, sugarcube!" shouted Aj.

"Cause keep running!" yelled Twilight as the group was hauling ass to avoid the angry Beedrill chasing them.

Soon Sky bumped into something when he ran as the girls bumped into him. They were pushed back onto the ground as the Beedrill suddenly stopped behind them. They, too, looked at what the teens bumped into before turning tail and flying away. Aj pulled out her Pokédex to see what Pokémon they were looking at.

"Machamp, the Superpower Pokémon and the evolved form of Machoke. Machamp really shines when it's called upon to perform feats of strength; with its four massive arms, it can even pick up a heavy dump truck. It's less good at tasks that require manual dexterity and precision."

The Machamp growled at the teens for running into him as he towered over Sky and Pikachu as indicated by his shadow. The small mouse then leaped as he headbutted Machamp to defend his trainer.

"Pikachu! Stop!" said Sky as he got up and went to grab his Pokémon when he was thrust down by the Machamp and tossed Pikachu into a nearby tree.

"Sky!" shouted the girls as the Pokémon towered over the boy and was about to put his hands on him.

Just then, Pikachu returned and did another diving headbutt to the side of Machamp. The small mouse jumped back as Machamp turned his attention to the yellow Pokémon and went for a hand slam, with Pikachu dodging back.

"Hey, you're really good at dodging after all!" said Sky as he saw Pikachu take what he said and finally avoid his foe's attack. "Pikachu, Iron Tail!"

The small mouse spun in the air as he twisted his body and had his tail now in a metal coating; it collided with Machamp and hit the Pokémon directly in the face.

"Nice one!" said the boy to his Pokémon as he smiled.

Machamp then unleashed a Hyper Beam attack as it was fired up. The teens ran again as an explosion occurred within the forest. The group ran as they left the forest, with Machamp still chasing after them.

"Hey, at least we're out of the forest!" shouted Sky as they ran for their lives.

"Yeah, and now we got a bigger problem! Way to go, cowboy!" yelled Aj at her friend as they had an angry Machamp chasing them.

"What the?" said Sunset as she had gotten out of the forest moments ago and saw the group coming in her direction.

"It's Sunset!" said Sky as they all dove out of the way, Machamp still running forward in a blind rage toward the bacon-haired girl.

"Chimchar, use Flame Wheel!" shouted Sunset as she threw her Pokéball.

The chimp appeared as he turned into a wheel of fire and headed toward Machamp. The attack made contact as Machamp released a painful cry and was engulfed in flames.

"Alright, get it!" said Sunset as she threw a Pokéball.

The ball traveled as it bounced off of Machamp before opening up. Light engulfed the Pokémon as it was sucked in, and the ball closed. It fell to the ground as it wobbled a bit before the light finished flashing, and a sound was heard.

"Wow, Machamp just got caught," said Twilight as Sunset picked up her Pokéball.

"Alright, let's see," said the girl as she pulled up her Pokédex's scanner.

The scanner analyzed the Pokémon she had just caught, displaying some information for her to read. It then showed her the moves it could do as the girl had a small smile.

"Well, what do you know?" said Sunset, a bit surprised. "This one ain't half bad. Thanks, boy toy. Looks like you are good for something after all."

"Hey, Sunset," stated the boy as he approached the girl who put her latest Pokémon away.

"Really?" said the girl as she saw Sky approach her; she figured he had had enough already but clearly didn't. "You still using that lame-o Pikachu?"

"Huh?"

"I thought our last battle, you've learned something, but I guess not. That Pokémon ain't gonna listen to you."

Pikachu took offense to what Sunset said as he was itching to fight.

"You don't get it, do you?" said Sky as he took a step forward. "If you work hard with them, they'll get stronger. Let's have a battle!"

"Forget it!" said Sunset as she began to walk away.

"You scared, bitch?" called out the boy as Sunset stopped in her tracks and turned her head.

"If you insist on making a fool of yourself again, then be my guest. I have no problem kicking your ass a second time!" the girl said.

"Then let's battle, four on four!" stated Sky.

The two were now spread out as they were battling on the plain. The girls were off to the side as they were about to watch what was going down. Pikachu was still out as Sky had decided to kick off the battle using the yellow mouse.

"Jolteon, show no mercy!" shouted Sunset as she called on her first Pokémon.

"Jolteon!" said the Pokémon as he appeared and growled at Pikachu.

The yellow mouse also growled as the two were ready to tear into one another.

"Looks like it's gonna be a repeat of their previous battle," said Rarity.

"No doubt, this one has Pikachu and Jolteon's pride on the line. Since they're both electric types, they want to prove they're stronger. In Sky's case, Pikachu is trying to prove they can function as a team, whereas Jolteon is proving to Sunset why he's a strong member of her team." said Twilight.

"After you," said Sunset.

"Okay, Quick Attack!" shouted Sky.

Pikachu took off and ran at high speed.

"This again..." sighed the girl as Sky was doing the same thing as last time. "Use Protect and then Double Kick!"

Jolteon heard the command by his trainer as he put a barrier around him that Pikachu collided head-first with. It held as the small mouse was flung back; the shield died down, and Jotleon leaped into the air as it positioned itself to have its back legs aim at Pikachu.

"Pikachu, dodge it!" said Sky.

This time, the small mouse did what the boy shouted as he avoided the attack from Jolteon as it crashed into the ground.

"Pikachu did it this time!" said Rarity as the girls expected the mouse to not listen and were shocked when he did.

"Now use Thunderbolt!"

"Discharge!"

Both electric Pokémon charged themselves up as their attacks met in separate waves as they collided, and an explosion occurred.

"Now, Iron Tail!" shouted Sky.

Pikachu was showing off his reaction time as, after firing Thunderbolt, he quickly leaped into the air and twisted his body so that its tail, now covered in a metal coating, was coming down on Jolteon.

"Dodge it!" shouted Sunset as Jolteon ran out of the way at the last second as Pikachu's tail crashed on the ground.

"Quick Attack!" stated the girl.

"Dodge it!"

Jolteon took off as he was heading toward Pikachu. The small mouse also ran forward as it looked like the two were about to collide. Pikachu then leaped as it was jumping head over heels above Jolteon as the yellow mouse completely avoided its foe.

"What?!" said Sunset, surprised by how Pikachu dodged.

"How do you like that, Sunset?" smirked Sky as the boy had Pikachu use the technique he used in his Gym Battle with Rockhoof.

"Double Kick!" shouted the girl in anger.

Jolteon growled as he leaped into the air and aimed his hind legs at Pikachu.

"Pikachu, spin on your back and use Thunderbolt!" stated Sky.

Pikachu leaped onto its back as it began to spin while using its attack. Thunderbolt was now shooting out in all directions as Jolteon saw the attack and was hit. Jolteon felt the power behind Pikachu's Thunderbolt as it dealt damage this time.

"Wha?" said Sunset, stunned by what she saw.

"So, what do you think our little countershield, Sunset?" asked Sky with a smile as he used the technique he did with Buizel back at the Battle Chateau.

Jolteon hit the ground as it fell on its stomach.

"Now, Iron Tail!"

Pikachu quickly popped up from spinning on his back as it leaped high into the air. It spun and twisted its body as its tail, now covered in a metal coating, came crashing down on Jolteon, who was flung back. The yellow-spiked Pokémon skidded to a halt in front of Sunset.

"Okay, Sky! I'll admit, you got my attention!" said Sunset as she was genuinely impressed by what the boy did with his new techniques. "But it still won't be enough! Quick Attack!"

"Let's wrap this up, Volt Tackle!"

Both Pokémon charged as they picked up both speed and power. Within seconds, both Pokémon collided head-first as a light show occurred. The girls all turned away to avoid being blinded as Sky and Sunset put an arm up to their eyes. Wind occurred again as it blew in all directions; it eventually died down, and there were Jolteon and Pikachu with scuffs along their bodies on all fours. They breathed heavily and growled at each other; soon, they started to weave as they fell to the ground.

"Pikachu!" shouted Sky as he ran toward his fallen Pokémon.

The boy bent down and grabbed his Pokémon in his arms.

"Pika," said the small mouse as he looked up at his trainer.

"That was amazing! You did good," spoke Sky with a soft and gentle tone while smiling.

"Pika," said the yellow mouse.

Sunset merely pulled out her Pokéball and recalled Jolteon. The girl looked at her Pokémon and just held a refined look. She knew that Jolteon had more than earned his place to stand by her side, unlike a certain other Pokémon she had that was still struggling to prove his worth to her. She commended Jolteon for a fight and put her Pokémon away before turning to walk.

"Hey, where are you going, Sunset?! We still got a battle going on!" said Sky.

"We're done," said Sunset as she decided to call the battle there.

Sky merely scowled at the girl's retreating figure while holding Pikachu in his arms, who also looked at the bacon-haired teen. The girls soon appeared by their friend's side as they watched Sunset starting to get out of view.

"Cheer up, sugar. You'll get your battle with Sunset another day," stated Applejack, as she knew how badly Sky wanted to battle Sunset properly to avenge his loss from her.

"Yeah, well, next time... I'm not gonna lose to her!" growled the boy as only his mouth signaled his desire and anger to beat his rival.

The final still image was that of Sky holding Pikachu in his arms as they watched Sunset walking away in the distance with her hands inside her leather jacket pockets. The boy glared firmly at his rival as he vowed to prove her wrong.

Author's Note: After quite a while, our favorite bacon-haired bad girl has made her presence known to our heroes. So prior to Sunset catching the Machamp, she did have four Pokemon ready to go against Sky. So now her team consists of Chimchar, Jolteon, Fletchling, Machamp, and one Pokemon she hasn't shown yet. Still, while she and Sky may not have had a proper battle yet again, he has proven something to the girl, especially with all the tricks he learned between their last fight. As always, leave a review expressing your thoughts and comments.
