The Knight of Andromeda was currently cooking some sliced strips of bacon in the kitchen of his apartment, lightly swaying his hips and humming along to the energetic rhythm of his favorite Guns N' Roses song: Paradise City.
The iconic rock song was blaring it's powerful, high-pitched vocals and masterfully played instruments from the small radio that was resting on the decent sized dining table.
It was odd how Shun, a soft and gentle soul, was enjoying the intense sounds of a rambunctious group like Guns N' Roses. It didn't seem like something he would ever be attracted to.
But thanks to the impeccable taste his surrogate auntie had for rock n' roll, it wasn't difficult for Shun to quickly fall in love with the world of guitar shredding and high-pitched, masculine screams that gave the genre it's rebellious reputation.
Shun felt the rushing winds of his auntie's god-like power as an ominous purple light shortly appeared in the middle of the darkened kitchen. It didn't take long for the red themed musician to summon her presence into the humble home of the Andromeda Saint.
Despite the intimidating aura I-no's power radiated, it did not even faze the green haired teen in the slightest.
His response to the supernatural occurrence was to form his signature smile that always brought a welcoming warmth.
"Auntie I-no, I am glad that you made it back!"
"I could say the same thing, sweetheart." The surrogate aunt of Shun answered with a smirk.
That's when her nostrils caught the combined smells of eggs, bacon, and that mouth watering topping of cinnamon.
"Man, that really smells good Shun. I'm impressed."
A soft chuckle was the Andromeda Saint's response to the praise of his auntie. "I have been improving here and there. But it's nice to hear it from you, auntie I-no."
A small, but almost motherly smile graced the red lips of the musician. A sight or thought nobody would have believed to ever come true. "Well, I'm glad to have been the first to say it." I-no said to her previous nephew in a soft tone.
"Also, I brought you the things you need for the following week." She added in as she placed two large bags of groceries on the kitchen counter.
"Thanks!" Was Shun's grateful response.
"You're very much welcome, sweetie." The red themed musician said as she went up and ruffled the soft mane of hair of her nephew.
"Also, where's your older brother?"
"He went out for a morning jog. Said he'll return by the time I finished preparing our breakfast." The cook of the family answered, sliding the crispy slices of bacon onto the three white plates sitting next to the stove, each one holding three sunny side eggs and a single soft slice of cinnamon flavored toast.
"I guess we could wait for him until our food cools down. So for now, let's enjoy us some Guns N' Roses!" The surrogate aunt joyfully declared with a grin, using her magic infused powers to turn up the volume of the song.
"Take me down to Paradise City where the grass is green and the girls are pretty!!!" I-no sang along to the chorus.
"Taaaaake… meeeeee… hoooooome yeah yeah!!" Shun joined in on the fun with his auntie.
The surrogate aunt and her precious nephew spent the remainder of the song's duration singing along with it's lyrics.
It was an activity they have carried on since Shun and Ikki were children. And I-no hoped that it would last until the day they all passed on into the afterlife.
