Author's Notes: This update does not have a pairing. And the previous update was a means to an end for allowing Kagome to enter this world, as some worlds will have 'requirements' to enter. And the end pairing for this Light(web) Novel and Manga is one I support, so I am stating this here and now. Kagome will never be paired with the Main Character Sung Jin-Woo, ever! But others are fair game in this world. (Malicious female fangirl laughter).
Jin-Woo looked at Woo Jin-Chul in disbelief. He was having a hard time processing what had happened to himself by returning after the double-dungeon. But learning there was a second person with him? A young woman of unknown origin?
"Ahh!"
The loud feminine scream that echoed through the wall of his hospital room had Jin-Woo going still as strange energy flowed over him. He watched as Jin-Chul and his companion got up and rushed out of the room.
He took a quick look at his stats which matched what he had before being stabbed through the heart by the Monarch of Frost. Jin-Woo decided to see the person making a fuss, climbed down from the hospital bed, and walked into the hallway. Only to feel his eyebrows jump to his hairline as both Jin-Chul and his companion went red and flustered.
That strange energy seemed stronger, beckoning him. So moving behind the other two, Jin-Woo looked into the hospital room. The sight of a small, Asian-looking woman sitting in the bed, hands groping her chest through her open hospital shirt, had him feeling flushed. But before he could look away, deep blue eyes met his and seemed to blame him for her situation.
"Great, a god touched. Fuck. My. Life! I just died and reincarnated?"
Her words had Jin-Woo narrowing his eyes at her. He suddenly felt on high alert as that strange energy washed over him again.
"Miss, calm down," Jin-Chul finally said, speaking up after collecting himself. "And please, cover yourself!"
Jin-Woo realized Jin-Chul was not speaking Korean and that he understood the girls' words without needing a translator.
"Fuck, perverts! Quit Staring!"
Jin-Woo took a second to look away as the girl fixed herself. Once she finished and told them so, Jin-Woolooked at her. That strange energy vanished, though he instinctively thought that she was masking it.
"Miss, do you know who you are, age, and origin of birth?" Jin-Chul asks her in a calm voice.
Jin-Woo watched the girl blink her eyes and tilt her head as if trying to recall anything. When she spoke, it was in fluent Korean and in an icy manner.
"Higurashi, Kagome, maybe fifteen? Tokyo, Japan. Where am I?"
The shocked gasp from both Jin-Chul and his companion had Jin-Woo smiling. He could tell this girl was not simple and was playing with them. However, the weight of her gaze was like a yolk since she never looked away from him.

In the days and weeks that followed, Jin-Woo made different choices ignoring the pop-up window asking if he wanted to restart the world. The strange girl, Kagome, had told him he had a choice and should be careful when making such a huge decision. Before also stating that he couldn't put it off either. Those had been her parting words. How she looked at him while saying that gave him the impression she'd been in that particular situation.
Yet now, he was at his snapping point. Jin-Woo had known for a while that this world was not real. As he demanded the entity show himself, Jin-Woo heard an exasperated female sigh as the world around him vanished. He didn't have to look to know it was that strange woman, Kagome.
Kagome finally felt a weight leave her shoulders. After seeing the Korean man named Sung Jin-Woo, she realized the situation she was in. And Kagome had hoped he did too. But up until they'd been discharged, he'd shown no indication. So her parting words had been a non-to-subtle-hint.
Yet a month later, they finally get to him having enough playtime in a world in which he'd get to make other choices. Kagome stood at the side watching Jin-Woo and the entity known as the Shadow Monarch. She was getting to learn a lot about this world's history.
Kagome absorbed this knowledge, aware this dark Monarch was purposefully showing her. She'd learned her actual age was twenty-three. That eight years ago, she vanished into a dungeon in Japan. So, therefore, she was considered dead. Although she chose to stay in Seoul, Korea, her family had been contacted.
At the mention of 'The Cup of Reincarnation,' Kagome felt a sinking feeling as the 'Shikon no Tama' began to resonate deep inside her. She instantly understood. In this world, outside of this illusion created by Jin-Woo's heart and mind, she was a part of this cup and was giving it enough energy to be used one more time.
Letting a growl escape between her clenched teeth and tightly pressed lips. Kagome finally drew Jin-Woo's attention. She saw that he wasn't surprised she was there, meaning he'd been aware of her the whole time. Yet the Monarch of Shadows continued his speal, and Kagome knew where he was going with it. She had that same choice with the Shikon no Tama.
The moment Jin-Woo said he'd return and deal with the other Monarchs, Kagome laughed. But before the Monarch could return Jin-Woo, Kagome stepped between them and looked at the young man. She smiled warmly as she spoke to him while shooting a dark look at the Shadow Monarch. Kagome felt amused at how the Shadow Monarch chose to turn his head and not look at her.
"Sung Jin-Woo, Higurashi Kagome, was in the same position as you. My world's God's did not like my choice, and thus I have endured," she said, giving a brief explanation. "Thus, I am continually reincarnated into world after world. But in this world, I am bound to you by a link that can never be severed. When you leave this illusion you created, you will remember me."
Kagome paused and watched as understanding shone in the depths of Jin-Woo's black eyes. Kagome felt the tension seep from her shoulders.
"I will return to this world. I do not know when or how. But you, as a fellow God Touched, will know. But never will we be more than acquaintances."
With those final words, Kagome lifted a hand and signaled the Shadow Monarch. Kagome smiled as Jin-Woo opened his mouth to ask something. But the world vanished, and Kagome once more stood in her small space at the beginning and end of time. She felt she had made a very powerful ally this time.
THE END!
