A/N Hello once again everyone, I had one hell of a crazy week at work and for a while was worried whether or not I'd be able to get this chapter done in time. But thankfully I was able to get some great writing sessions in the last three nights in a row and finished it up. I didn't suffer so much from writers block like last week, just exhaustion from work and life, lol. But that still wasn't enough to keep me from posting the next chapter because I love and appreciate all of you so much and am determined to keep my regular posting date as scheduled. I hope this newest chapter is just as amazing as the others, so without further ado please enjoy and remember to leave a REVIEW!

Danny had spent the entire flight home trying to think of what he was going to tell his parents as to why he was showing up in the middle of the night. He wasn't supposed to be home until Sunday evening and he was instead approaching Amity Park a little before midnight on Friday, about eighteen hours after he left home. The truth was obviously not going to be a good idea, and during the entire flight home he was so scatterbrained he'd been unable to think of a single plausible explanation. All in all he was in a pretty big mess and was starting to consider just sleeping on the roof until Sunday evening and playing the whole thing off as normal.

As he started to fly over Amity Park and head towards Fenton Works, he noticed that the streets were pretty close to deserted. Even though it was Friday night, the streets weren't really packed with people celebrating the weekend. Amity Park wasn't exactly New York City, and the cold December weather wasn't really encouraging people to go out and party. Suddenly staying on the roof all night and the next day wasn't all that appealing either.

After the disaster of a night he'd had dealing with not only Plasmius, but also Sam finding out about his relationship with Ember and learning that she'd tried to destroy her, all Danny really wanted to do was curl up in his bed and pass out until Monday morning. He'd deal with everything else then. But if he just showed up in his bedroom and his parents and/or Jazz found him there before he woke up and left again he'd have absolutely no explanation and all kinds of suspicion would arise.

"Ugh, maybe I should just crash in a vacant hotel for the rest of the weekend," said Danny to himself lightly. "If someone catches me there in my ghost form I could just fly away and it wouldn't really cause any trouble."

Danny was looking down at Fenton Works and turning his head from side to side to scan the city, looking for some kind of sign on what he should do. While doing that he noticed the now shattered window in the op center courtesy of Sam. He still had to get the exact details of what exactly happened between the two of them while he wasn't here. Figuring he'd take a look at the damage and see how bad it was, Danny started to lower himself towards the shattered window. But as he was approaching it, the absolute last thing he wanted to happen happened, his ghost sense went off.

"Oh come on, please, I've had enough for one day and I just want to be done," Danny groaned to himself lightly as he didn't even have the energy to look around for whatever ghost was nearby.

Thankfully this ghost had plans that didn't involve attacking him.

"Oh, well then I guess if you really don't want to see me I could always find myself another boyfriend," came the familiar voice of Ember from right behind Danny.

Realizing now who it was, Danny felt his face form into a smile as he felt Ember's arms wrap around his waist from behind, a small chuckle escaping his lips. He just floated there for a few moments letting Ember hug him before he spun around. As soon as he did that and looked her in the eyes, Ember moved right into his embrace, not even giving him a chance to object before placing her lips against his and wrapping her arms around his neck. Not that he would ever object about her doing that in any way, shape, or form.

They floated in the air kissing for several seconds before they separated, just happy to see each other after the crazy night and the way they left things back in Alabama.

"So have you been waiting here for me long?" asked Danny with his hands going around Ember's waist.

"Not really, only about twenty minutes or so, but if you weren't back by midnight you'd have owed me an extra back rub," said Ember gently running her fingertips along the back of Danny's neck, giving him pleasant goosebumps.

Danny let himself be relaxed by Ember's fingernails, such a welcoming feeling right now. He chuckled again a little as he remembered promising Ember a long back rub for being gone for the weekend. Even though he came back so early he still fully intended on giving it to her. And after she showed up to save his ass he was ready to give her five of them.

"You can have as many back rubs as you want for as long as you want if it means I don't have to deal with anymore chaos for the rest of the weekend," said Danny.

"Well we unfortunately do still need to figure out what we're going to do about your hippie friend," said Ember with a sour tone as she brought up Sam. "And also your tech geek buddy, he was at my realm too."

Danny felt his groan coming back at the thought of having to get them all together to figure out how this was all going to work between the four of them. What joy.

"I'm gonna be honest I don't want to think about that right now," said Danny honestly. "After the day I've had, and I guess you also had, I just want to call it a night. Problem is I couldn't come up with a believable excuse to tell my parents why I'm home already."

Ember looked behind Danny at Fenton Works, just now remembering that Danny wasn't supposed to be home until Sunday night, which was two nights away. Suddenly a light bulb was going off in her head. Two nights away? A sly smile slowly crept onto her face.

"Well you could always just stay somewhere else for the next two nights," suggested Ember batting her eyebrows, but Danny was too energy drained to notice.

"I've been trying to think of something for that too," said Danny looking up into the sky. "I was thinking I could just crash in a hotel in my ghost form and fly away if anyone were to see me."

"Well maybe there's an alternate idea, some place where you'd be much more welcome by the person that lives there," said Ember leaning a little closer. It was so cute how naïve her dipstick was.

Danny tried to think for a moment who she could be suggesting. Surely not Tucker and even more so Sam, she would probably break up with him if he even suggested staying at her place. Looking back down into her eyes he realized how sly her smile looked and how here eyes were slightly narrowed. Now Danny had his own light bulb lighting up in his head. Surely she wasn't suggesting what he was now thinking...could she?

"Are you saying...stay with you in your realm," said Danny, suddenly quite excited by that idea and wondering why he hadn't already thought of that.

Ember wrapped her arms a bit more around Danny's neck as she leaned into him.

"Well you are on good terms with the owner, and I feel pretty confident promising you won't be evicted," said Ember giving him a quick peck on the lips.

Danny felt like his temperature was skyrocketing and his face was turning the deepest shade of red. The thought of actually staying the night with his girlfriend? This was something that under normal circumstances his parents would never allow at his age, and Sam would possibly scold him for a week if she found out. But on the flip side, he'd be spending two whole days alone with the girl he loved. Should he think this over?

"Let's get going," said Danny taking her hand so they could both fly together.

Heading right towards Fenton Works, the ghostly couple was about to go intangible and fly inside, but right before they could Danny felt a little prick on the back of his neck.

"Ah, I think a bug just bit me," said Danny stopping for a moment and rubbing his neck, but not feeling anything. "Mmm, that was weird, must have just been a fly or something."

Shrugging his shoulders, Danny and Ember joined hands again and smiled at each other as they both flew into the house. They were so focused on flying together that they didn't notice that someone was in the kitchen getting a late night drink of water.

Jazz had her head buried in the fridge looking for the water pitcher, barely awake as she had been woken up by a completely parched mouth. Pulling the pitcher out of the fridge she started to pour herself a glass. But as she did she looked up and for a split second saw something that made her eyes shoot open and almost drop the glass. It looked like Danny had just flown through the house in his ghost form, and he was with Ember McLain. Jazz stood frozen to the spot for several seconds just staring at the spot she'd seen them pass through the wall, not sure if she really saw what she thought.

"I need to get back to bed, I think I'm starting to hallucinate," said Jazz rubbing her head and taking a long drink of the water. "There's no way Danny would be flying with Ember McLain, that's just nuts. My mind is clearly exhausted from studying."

While Jazz slowly trotted back to bed thinking she'd seen something that wasn't there, Danny and Ember were very much flying together. Joined at the hand they flew into the basement and as one, flew through the portal into the ghost zone. They entered a bit slowly so they could look around and make sure there weren't any unfriendly ghosts around to see them. It had already been chaotic enough with the few people that knew about them, they didn't need to add more to that. Not seeing anyone around, the two ghosts started flying faster together in the direction of Ember's realm, holding hands the whole time.

It took them only about fifteen minutes to get there since by now Danny was very familiar with the path to her realm, and obviously Ember knew where to go seeing as it was her home. As soon as they got there they slowed down for a few moments and just floated together outside, looking at each other again.

"This is pretty wild for me, when the school year started the last thing I thought I'd be doing was staying the night at a girl's house," said Danny with a nervous smile.

Ember just put her arms around his neck again and leaned in close to his face.

"Well I hope it wasn't on your bucket list Baby Pop, because if it is then I think you need to aim a little higher with your goals," said Ember in a teasing tone.

With a quick kiss on the lips, Danny and Ember turned to enter her realm together, closing the door behind them and allowing Danny to finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing that he didn't have to go anywhere else the rest of the night.

"Phew, finally I can relax," said Danny floating right over to the couch and falling onto his back across the whole thing. Ember floated over right behind him.

"Well I hope it's okay if I relax with you, seeing as it's my couch after all," said Ember settling herself to lay right beside Danny so the two of them could cuddle together.

"As far as I'm concerned we can stay like this until I become a full ghost, and then keep doing it still," said Danny softly as he looked into Ember's eyes, mere inches from his own.

Ember didn't say anything, all talking felt irrelevant to both of them now. Gently cupping Danny's face, she leaned in to lock lips with her boyfriend in a passionate kiss. Danny's arms both went around Ember's body, one around her shoulder, the other her lower back, lightly pulling her against him while they kissed. No matter how many times these two did this, they just couldn't get enough and every time felt like a new experience they wanted to feel again and again. This time wasn't any different. Ember wanted to deepen the kiss further as she started sweeping her tongue across Danny's mouth, seeking entry. Danny was all too happy to grant her access and start brushing his own tongue against hers. Both of them started to speed up slightly with their kisses, losing themselves in each other. Ember trailed one of her hands higher up and ran it through Danny's hair, lightly scratching his scalp. Danny felt his lower hand start to trail down a bit, getting more bold than he's ever been before as he let it run over her butt. Ember hadn't been expecting the sudden contact, but did nothing to stop it. In fact she slightly started moaning into the kiss and lifted her leg to rub her foot up and down Danny's leg, giving him better access to hold her intimately against him. Both ghosts were starting to lose each other more and more as they deeply kissed and touched each other, moving completely on autopilot. Who knows how long it went on for before Danny finally felt the need for air. Breathing pretty deeply from the intense make out session, he quite reluctantly pulled his lips away from Ember, both of them feeling so intense as they once again were looking into each other's eyes with so much longing.

"You are the most amazing girl ever," said Danny deeply, nothing but sincerity in his voice.

Ember was holding onto every word Danny said, still unable to fully believe that she had somehow gotten so lucky to find the most amazing boy in the world after everything she'd been through, and for him to now say that he loved her. It felt like she was in a never-ending dream, and she hoped to never wake up from it.

Giving Danny one more quick kiss on the lips, Ember snuggled into his chest and just rested against him, Danny putting his own head down on the couch pillow while holding her against him. Slowly the two ghosts drifted off into a deep sleep of pure happiness just from being together.

'I really am the luckiest guy in the world,' Danny thought to himself as he faded into a blissful slumber.

December 4, 2004

Sam and Tucker were both walking together down the sidewalk towards the warehouse that was vacant and didn't hold anything but a bunch of abandoned equipment. It was the same place they first encountered the Box Ghost early on in their ghost fighting adventures months ago. Sam had a sour look on her face as she wasn't exactly looking forward to this whole thing. Tucker on the other hand was just looking nervous, not really sure what he was walking into.

"Are you sure this is where he said to meet up?" asked Tucker as he looked around, not seeing any sign of Danny anywhere.

"Yeah, this is where he said on the phone this morning. I guess he wanted to make sure it was somewhere that would be empty and less likely for anyone to interrupt," said Sam with a frown. It had barely been 18 hours since the whole situation in Huntsville had happened, and now here she was about to walk into something she was not at all excited for. In all honesty she was dreading it with every fiber of her body.

"You know, I may not have been there to see what happened since I was abandoned at Ember's realm, but isn't there any part of you that thinks that maybe this whole thing with Danny and Ember could be a good thing?" asked Tucker cautiously.

Sam snapped her head to look at Tucker so fast it almost cracked.

"Did you lose your mind back in the ghost zone?" said Sam dramatically. "Tucker, she attempted a freaking global takeover less than two months ago. Are you really so naïve to think that she would change this dramatically this quickly? I swear teenage boys are the most clueless idiots ever."

Tucker wasn't feeling very appreciative of all this.

"Um, excuse me, who was it that carelessly tried to fight Ember all by herself without any kind of teamwork?" said Tucker frowning. "Who was it that had to sneak the speeder back into Danny's basement by himself without getting caught? And who was it that shattered the window in the op center without any concern that someone might see you? And you're calling me an idiot?"

"I told you already I didn't have time to come back for you, I would have lost her and not been able to follow her to Danny," said Sam trying to sound reasonable.

"Yeah well I'm lucky that I was able to get out of that house without anyone catching me," said Tucker gesturing to himself. "Only reason I did was because Danny's parents heard you break the window of the op center and hurried up to it, which gave me a clear path outside. Naturally they think a ghost did it."

"Well a ghost was the reason that it happened so that's close enough," said Sam as they both approached the doorway leading inside.

"Hey all I'm saying is that I'm trying to keep an open mind about this," said Tucker shrugging. "Kitty told me that their relationship is real and they both care about each other, I'm willing to hear them both out before I start blasting again."

Sam was glaring daggers at Tucker right now just for thinking that.

"Well I'm going to expose her for the manipulative ghost I know she still is," said Sam with narrowed eyes as she gripped the door handle. "Love spell or not, I don't trust for a second that she isn't up to something and is playing the long game."

Tucker sighed deeply as Sam opened the door. He wasn't just blindly believing that Ember was trustworthy without talking to Danny, but he also didn't want to shoot first ask questions never. At the end of the day he just wanted what was best for his best friend, whatever that might be.

As they both walked into the warehouse and maneuvered around several piles of boxes, they looked around for Danny, not sure if he would be alone or with Ember.

"Danny, are you here?" called out Tucker to the open room.

Both of them didn't hear any kind of response and were wondering if they had come to the right place, or were perhaps early. Sam looked down at her watch and saw that it was 5 pm, exactly when Danny had said to meet when they had spoken on the phone earlier.

"I swear to nature if we came out here for nothing because he's making out with that diva I'm gonna..." said Sam before she was cut off by the voice she despised more than anyone's right now.

"Gonna what, force feed me mud with a side of grass, basically what I heard you tried to get your whole school to eat," said Ember as she suddenly appeared before them with her arms crossed.

As soon as she became visible both girls locked eyes and gritted their teeth, each despising the sight of the other.

"Hey come on now, this is supposed to be an attempt to make peace," said Danny now appearing himself right beside Ember. "Can we please at least make it through the introductions before everything gets blasted away."

Neither of the girls were looking away from the other, neither of them even wanted to be here. Tucker however stepped forward to say hi to Danny since he hadn't had the opportunity to see his best friend during the chaos of the previous day.

"What's up dude, seems you've gotten yourself into quite a predicament," said Tucker giving Danny a bro shake. "I'm not exactly thrilled myself that you kept your relationship a secret from me, pretty sure the dude code says you should have told me."

Danny rubbed the back of his head while he let Tucker talk.

"Yeah, well under normal circumstances I would have told you about having a girlfriend immediately, but what Ember and I have is far from normal," said Danny shrugging. "I did plan on telling you both eventually, but I wanted to make sure I could show she wasn't evil before that."

"Well mission not accomplished," said Sam roughly.

"Oh I'm more than willing to go back to my old ways specifically for you hippie," said Ember raising her fist.

Danny quickly flew between them and held his arms up, trying to put a little more space between the two.

"Please stop it, I asked everyone here so we could try to get past all this," said Danny looking back and forth. He knew it was going to take some kind of miracle, but at the end of the day he hoped he'd have both his amazing girlfriend and still have Sam as his best friend. Though he was still upset at her attempt to destroy Ember and had every intention of mentioning that during this whole thing.

"Okay, you want to start making progress? How about she starts by destroying her guitar," said Sam looking over Danny's shoulder. "That is after all the source of her power, without that she can't mind control anyone."

Ember reached one of her hands behind her back to touch the guitar slung over her shoulder.

"Nobody lays a hand on this guitar but me," said Ember with equal aggression. "I'll tell you what though, since I'm a nice girl, I'll let you do whatever you want to it once you find snow on the equator."

Danny rolled his eyes. He knew this was going to be difficult, but just getting a foot in the door was seeming like an impossible task.

"Please can we at least be civil? I didn't get back to Amity Park until super late last night and haven't fully recovered from everything," said Danny groaning.

"Hey Danny, one question I as wondering, what did your parents say when you suddenly showed up at home last night?" asked Tucker out of nowhere.

Danny suddenly stiffed up a bit as he looked at Tucker, his eyes quickly looking to Ember and then back again. He didn't think this was going to come up and was pretty sure there would be disapproval if it was discovered he'd stayed at Ember's realm last night.

"Danny, what's going on, why do you look so worried all of a sudden?" asked Sam suspiciously, now looking at Danny instead of Ember.

Danny felt like he was about to start sweating, Ember on the other hand looked pretty pleased with herself. After all she enjoyed every last minute of the time she and Danny had spent snuggled together on the couch last night. When they both woke up that morning still in each other's arms it felt like one of the most pleasant moments of her existence, and she was hoping for a repeat of that tonight since his parents still weren't expecting him home until tomorrow night.

"Well, um, I might have...not exactly gone home," said Danny in barely more than a whisper.

Sam was quickly putting two and two together and was changing from furious to downright mortified. Tucker on the other hand was also putting the pieces together and was looking a little impressed.

"No, please tell me you did not stay with her last night," said Sam with horrified eyes while looking at Danny. But she didn't need a verbal confirmation from him, the proof was all over his bright red face.

"Wow, you actually stayed the night with a girl, gotta admit dude, that's pretty boss," said Tucker smiling a bit.

"I certainly didn't have anything to complain about, as far as I'm concerned you can stay with me in my realm every night Baby Pop," said Ember with a smug smile, stepping forward a bit beside Danny and taking his hand. Sam's fists were clenched so tight they were starting to shake.

"You actually did it with her, of all people you actually did it with her," said Sam with a voice that suggested disgust. Danny now realized what she was suggesting and felt his face go even redder, this time from embarrassment.

"No no no no no, we didn't do anything like that," said Danny waving his hands wildly. "We just fell asleep on the couch after we..." Danny stopped himself before he finished, but he'd said enough to paint a mental picture.

Ember still looked pretty satisfied with herself and slipped her arm around Danny's waist while smirking at Sam. She didn't care if she was making her mad and was gaslighting the hippie. Why should she not proudly flaunt what she and Danny did together? She was quite pleased with it all.

Tucker was really trying to stay neutral in all this, but watching Ember get so close and handsy with Danny was making it really hard for him not to feel envious. He wasn't blind to the fact that Ember was seriously hott and was not being shy about putting her hands all over Danny. Why couldn't he find something like that at school? I mean he had the charm, the suave good looks, the moves, what was he doing wrong?

"Danny this is absurd, how can you seriously be with her, can you not see that she is blatantly trying to provoke me?" said Sam furiously.

Ember didn't even try to hide her smirk. She never really wanted to agree to this whole meeting, the only reason she did was because she was fully confident that Danny would side with her on the whole thing regardless of what was said. After all he'd have to be pretty crazy to pick his goth poser friend over more kisses from herself.

"Sam I really really want us to all get past this," said Danny still trying to be reasonable but losing his patience on Sam sticking to her stubbornness. "I never planned for Ember and I to happen, it just did, and people are always saying you can't help it when you develop feelings for someone. I love her and want to be with her. As my best friend I hoped you'd be able to accept that?

Sam did not like the way this was going at all. She was hoping to be able to prove that Ember was not who she was showing herself to be, but the whole thing was slipping away from her before it had even really gotten started. And worse than that, Ember got to stand right beside Danny with a smug smile on her face while touching him, blatantly mocking her.

"No, I just can't accept this, it's wrong on so many levels and I care about you too much to support this," said Sam stubbornly, looking back and forth from Danny and Ember. "Danny I just can't see how you can take the chance that she isn't playing some kind of long con on you and will show her true colors when you least expect it. You shouldn't be with someone who is okay with brainwashing and destroying others."

Danny had heard enough, he really was trying but Sam refusing to budge and accept his relationship was getting more than just a little annoying. Especially with that last statement now that he knew what she tried to do.

"Okay with destroying others, you mean like you tried to do to her just yesterday?" said Danny now frowning.

Sam stopped talking at once, she hadn't run that last part through her head before she said it and now looked really nervous. But still, how can herself trying to destroy a ghost that was supposed to be evil be considered the same as said ghost trying to control the world and destroy anyone that got in her way.

"It's completely different Danny, she's..." started Sam but Danny wasn't having any of it anymore. He knew that wasn't who Ember was anymore and also understood why she ever was that way in the first place.

"No it isn't Sam, you don't know her the way I do, I understand her and why she was lashing out the way she was," said Danny now holding Ember's hand in support, which she greatly appreciated. "If you knew what happened to her in her past you'd understand. When she was alive she went through all kinds of..." now it was Danny's turn to get cut off.

"Danny none of that matters, everyone has pain and trouble from their past, it doesn't excuse her trying to conquer the entire world and enslave us," said Sam with dramatic gestures.

"That's part of my point Sam, it's all in the past, but we can learn from it and become better individuals, which is what Ember has been doing since we've been together," said Danny lightly gripping her hand again.

'Well maybe not completely better, after all I still like bending the rules and stirring up a bit of trouble here and there,' thought Ember in her head, smirking. Though she did understand and appreciate Danny's support so much. Nobody had ever shown her this much support, both living and as a ghost, and it was such an incredible feeling to have someone like that by her side. She'd vanquish anyone that ever tried to take Danny away from her. So yeah, she definitely wasn't superhero material.

"I'm sorry Danny, we've been best friends for so many years but I can't do this, it's either me or her, please think this through logically," said Sam, throwing all her cards on the table.

Danny barely took five seconds to think it through. At the end of the day he didn't want to have to choose, he wanted both in his life. But if she was willing to give him an ultimatum like this, then the choice was obvious.

"Please don't make me do this Sam," said Danny with a disappointed frown, amazed that the girl that called himself his best friend would actually make him do this. But Sam just crossed her arms and waited for an answer. "Well then I choose Ember. I didn't want it to come to this but I choose being with her."

Ember gave Danny a big smile and leaned up to kiss his cheek, never having a doubt that he would pick her. As she leaned back down she gave Sam one more knowing smirk. Sam looked so disappointed in his choice that she was lightly shaking her head, both hurt and amazed that he didn't side with her.

"I'm sorry you feel that way Danny, I thought you were smarter than this," said Sam turning her back on everyone and starting to walk towards the exit. After taking a few steps she turned to look at Tucker, who was still standing off to the side and looking conflicted.

'Oh crap do I have to choose too?' thought Tucker to himself. He was completely unprepared to make a choice like that and it felt so unfair.

"What about you Tucker?" said Sam looking into his eyes. Tucker looked back and forth from Sam to Danny & Ember, not knowing what to say or do.

"Hold on now that is so unfair, I wasn't even present when everything happened and now I have to choose as well?" said Tucker starting to sweat a little bit. "I'm not choosing anything, I'm still barely even informed about the details of the whole situation."

Sam still looked unhappy but decided to let it go for now. Turning back to the exit she started walking again and exited the building, leaving Danny and Ember alone with Tucker. Everyone just stood in silence for a handful of moments contemplating their thoughts before someone broke it.

"Um, so, I don't really know what I should do with all of this, so can I just leave without anything changing between us bro?" asked Tucker hopefully. Danny smiled at him in understanding.

"Of course Tucker, I get that this is a lot and you don't really have any experience with Ember yet," said Danny smiling at his other best friend. "Just know that this whole thing between Ember and myself is real and I care about her so much. In time I think you'll be able to see that she can be trusted and isn't evil anymore."

Tucker looked at Ember who looked back, but not in the same hateful way she did at Sam.

"Well I've always got your back man and if you trust her, I think I can too, as long as she doesn't give me a reason not to," said Tucker smiling lightly at Ember. Ember gave Tucker a light smile in return, appreciating that he wasn't automatically deeming her evil like Sam.

"Back at you geek boy, if you're okay with Danny and I then you're okay in my book," said Ember giving him a little nod.

"One question I did have though Danny, since you have a ghost girlfriend now. Any chance Kitty is available?" asked Tucker putting on what he thought was a slick smile.

Danny and Ember almost fell flat onto their backs anime style, a deadpan look on both of their faces as they groaned.

"Oh Tucker, you really are one of a kind aren't you?" said Danny rhetorically as he and Ember both stood back up.

"One, no she is not available, she and Johnny are made for each other despite their troubled relationship," said Ember looking embarrassed on Kitty's behalf. "And two, she'd absolutely eat you alive even if she was available."

"Hey now, you underestimate the power of the Foley charm," said Tucker batting his eyebrows. If there was one thing he had it was confidence, even if it was very misguided.

"Um Tucker, just stick to your PDA for now, that's your strength," said Danny trying to reason with his best friend. "Anyway I still can't go home yet without it looking really suspicious to my parents and Jazz, so I can't exactly be seen out as Danny Fenton right now."

Tucker got the message that he meant himself and Ember were going to be staying together again tonight, making him super jealous that he got to do stuff like this while he was stuck by himself with his handheld gadgets that couldn't return affection.

"I hear ya man, no worries," said Tucker giving a little finger point. "I'll leave you two to do whatever it is you have planned together, just try not to get too carried away eh." Tucker batted his eyebrows a bit at the two ghosts before walking out of the building himself.

Now that they were alone, Ember wasted no time whatsoever spinning Danny around and pushing him up against the wall, ready to reward him for his wise choice.

"You sure know how to make a girl feel wanted Baby Pop," said Ember smoothly as she leaned in to give Danny a big kiss, which he accepted and returned with interest.

"I tried giving her a chance and showing that I was willing to move past everything so we could all coexist, but apparently us being together is just too much for her," said Danny as he held his girlfriend close to him, enjoying the feeling.

Ember really didn't fight fair with the whole thing. A teenage boy having to choose between his first girlfriend who regularly has her hands all over him and gives amazing kisses against his friend who tried to destroy her and wouldn't accept his happiness? Yeah it wasn't a fair fight whatsoever, his hormonal teenage brain never had a chance.

"Well that's her own issue, not ours, besides there's nothing wrong with upgrading the ladies in your life," said Ember leaning in for another kiss, not at all shy about throwing shade Sam's way.

Danny knew that he shouldn't just blatantly ignore Ember taking shots at Sam, but with the frustration he felt towards her right now combined with Ember's kisses, it was just another pointless battle he had no chance of winning.

"Oh you are definitely more amazing than all the girl's that have ever been in my life combined," said Danny smiling. "Granted that's only three, my mom, Jazz, and Sam, but still the point remains."

Ember chuckled a bit at Danny's statement, thinking he looked so cute when he was trying to be funny.

"Well what say you and me head on back to my realm where it'll be just the two of us...all night long," said Ember suggestively and placing a long and lingering kiss on his neck, making him shiver and almost lose his balance.

Danny didn't even have the will power to respond due to the off the charts feeling Ember was providing him with right now. Seriously it cannot be stressed how out gunned his hormones were at the moment.

Taking Danny's hand, the two lovestruck ghosts took off into the sky, phasing through the ceiling of the warehouse and making a beeline for Fenton Works and the ghost portal. They were flying even faster than last night when they were both exhausted, or at least Danny was, as they phased into the house only about five minutes after leaving the warehouse. Coincidentally, just like last night, they quickly passed through just as Jazz was walking through the house and had her nose buried in a book. Before she could look up she heard a whoosh sound and barely caught a glimpse of a blue and black blur flying through the walls, shaking her head as she froze on the spot just like the previous night.

"That's weird, I almost could have sworn that looked like Danny was with Ember McLain again, but that was just me hallucinating last night because I was so tired...wasn't it?" Jazz asked herself as she blankly looked straight ahead. She didn't move for a full minute as she just stared into the wall where she thought she saw her brother.

Meanwhile, less than ten minutes later, Danny and Ember were flying right up to her realm. They'd gone even faster than last night and were both feeling a little eager to get there. Floating inside, both ghosts started hugging and kissing each other before they could even get the door closed. Once it was, Ember and Danny sat down on the couch just like last night, except this time upright and side by side. The more time Ember spent with Danny and engaged in activities like this, the more she felt her own feelings climbing for her Baby Pop. She couldn't deny it any longer, she was also in love with him. Not that she'd been denying it exactly, it was just now fully clear to her and she was aware of it. She loved Danny and wanted to tell him just like he told her. But as they were continuing with their intense make out session Ember felt like she didn't want to tell him this way. She had never told anyone she loved them, nor felt strongly enough to even consider it. Now that she had she wanted it to be a special moment. And there was only one place that came to her mind when thinking of that, the very spot by that lake where they'd had their first date. Very soon she'd think of a way for them to have another date there, and she'd tell Danny that she loved him. But for now she'd settle for kissing the hell out of him.

While Ember let those thoughts marinade in her mind she and Danny were still kissing pretty intensely. After a while they finally separated and just snuggled together and talked, enjoying each others company and the fact that they were taking a whole night just to be together. They watched some ghost zone TV, Ember gave Danny another guitar lesson, they had a good laugh about how Tucker was possibly interested in Kitty and what Johnny would do about it, and recapped how Plasmius got the ectoplasm beaten out of him and how satisfying it was. Before they even realized it, hours had passed and both of them were starting to drift off to sleep again on the couch. Ember did have her bedroom, but staying on the couch together was nice too, they could get to that stage at some point in the future.

'I love you Danny," thought Ember in her head, eager to say it to him out loud in the near future.

The ghost zone didn't really have a time of day as it always looked the same whether it was midnight or noon in the human world. But currently in the human world it was about 7 AM as a projection device was suddenly launched into the ghost zone from a portal. This device started randomly floating through the ghost zone without any clear destination, it just had one simple objective, spread a certain message to as many ghosts as it possibly could.

While floating in a straight line a few random ghosts started to approach and took notice of the device. It looked different than anything they'd ever seen before and they weren't sure what to make of it. But once the device was within ten feet of them it's programming activated, sensing ecto signatures within range. A camera hole opened and a video image was projected from it, showing some kind of laser screen in midair. What it showed was the most stunning thing any of these ghosts had ever seen. Ember McLain was holding hands with Danny Phantom while they were flying together. The ghosts started growling like crazy at the image while the projection device kept moving through the ghost zone. Every time it got within ten feet of another ghost the footage would appear again and show the enemy of the ghost zone with the rock and roll diva. It kept changing between different recordings. From the two holding hands and flying together, to hugging and looking into each other's eyes lovingly, to kissing deeply, and repeat.

The further the projection device got into the ghost zone, the more ghosts saw it and became enraged at the thought of one of their own betraying them for the enemy. One ghost in particular was now seeing the recordings and clenched a tight fist.

"So Ember McLain has betrayed us for the ghost child has she? Well she just became a new prize to be mounted on my wall along with the whelp," said Skulker as he let his ecto blade shoot out from the wrist of his cybernetic suit, slicing through the laser screen right at Ember's and Danny's throat. Other ghosts that were enemies of Danny Phantom were starting to take notice and join in the reveal party as well. Technus, Walker, the Lunch Lady, the Box Ghost, Spectra, and Desiree were all present and looked furious.

"What, that's the boy young Ember was referring to when she made her wish?" shouted Desiree as she saw the image. "How dare she betray the ghost zone and start a relationship with that halfa."

"Yes, we shall all make that traitor pay for turning her back on us for the ghost child," screamed Technus dramatically.

"It's quite embarrassing, to be so desperate that she'd turn to that boy out of everyone for a relationship, how pathetic," said Spectra frowning.

Seeing the crowd gathering, two more ghosts were curious and flew towards everyone to see what all the fuss was about. Approaching from behind, Johnny 13 stopped his motorcycle with Kitty behind him, trying to see what everyone was looking at.

"Hey dudes, what's going on here?" asked Johnny as he floated up to look over everyone. Seeing the images of Danny and Ember together made him gasp loudly.

"What, dude, Ember is dating that Phantom punk, how did that happen?" said Johnny with a scowl. "Kitty, can you believe this? Huh, Kitty, where'd you go?"

Johnny looked around but suddenly his girlfriend was nowhere to be seen. She had taken off like a madwoman and was flying as fast as her body could take her straight towards Ember's realm.

"Crap crap crap crap crap, I have to warn Ember before the whole ghost zone blasts their way into her living room," said Kitty to herself desperately.

She always knew that it was a risk that the knowledge of Ember and Danny's relationship would get out there, but for someone to be blatantly spreading the news around was so much worst than she had ever imagined it would get. Whoever was doing this was the lowest of the low, and Kitty wasn't about to let her best friend be ambushed because she found the happiness she deserved with Danny. Not on her afterlife. She'd make sure the two of them had a fighting chance by being warned, and then punishing whoever it was that was spreading the news of their relationship.

So it looks like true chaos is about to come from all directions. If our ghostly couple thought dealing with Vlad in Alabama was trouble, how will they handle the wrath of the entire ghost zone feeling betrayed by Ember? There is some pretty heavy stuff coming and it seems it's going to get pretty ugly. Only time will tell how it all turns out in the end and whether everyone pulls through.
