A/N Hello everyone, I know I left you with quite the cliffhangar last week, hopefully not too many of my readers cursed me as a result, lol. But we're back once again with yet another chapter to see what will happen to Danny and Ember. I'm not going to ramble on this week, just going to say that I love you all and appreciate each and every one of you. Just a reminder in case anyone forgot or didn't see, this will be the last chapter for a few weeks so I can take a short break from the story. I've been getting pretty worn down from everything in my life in addition to this, so I'm going to treat this like a midseason finale, take a few weeks away, and then come back for the rest of the story. I hope everyone understands and without further ado please enjoy, and remember to leave a REVIEW!

Ember was so shocked by Danny's action that she couldn't even bring herself to stop her guitar from flying forward. Looking down and over her shoulder she tried to spot where her boyfriend had disappeared to while falling, but she'd already lost sight of him in the sky.

"You stupid Dipstick, when I find you I'm going to shake the ghost right out of you," said Ember hysterically to herself as she turned her guitar downward and started speeding towards the ground from thousands of feet up, trying to spot Danny and knowing that a big boom was about to go off.

Meanwhile Danny was holding onto the Ecto Eraser as tightly as he could while freefalling through the air from thousands of feet up. Ember must have flown them at least a mile into the sky before he jumped in the hopes of getting the blast away from Ember before it went off. One very big downside though is that he had absolutely no idea if this bomb truly was harmless to humans, and whether being in his human form when it went off would qualify for that. He only had five measly seconds after jumping until he would find out. It was all happening so fast yet it all felt like slow motion as Danny quickly glanced up trying to spot Ember, but he'd already lost sight of her since she had kept flying forward and he was falling so fast. Looking back at the bomb, it only had three small second until it went off, and Danny didn't want to be holding it when that happened.

"Get out of here," said Danny without thinking, acting completely on instinct as he used every bit of strength he could muster and threw the bomb as far away from him as possible. Under normal circumstances he would just go ghost and start flying, but right now he was too scared to go ghost until the bomb went off. While the claim that it was harmless to humans was questionable, there wasn't a doubt in his mind the claim that it would erase ghosts from existence was very much true.

Thanks to physics and gravity, Danny had only been able to create about one hundred feet of separation between himself and the bomb while they were both falling. It was time to see if that was enough as the bomb suddenly beeped twice and went off in a huge green explosion. Danny saw his life flash before him as the blast spread faster than he could process. The green explosion was quickly growing and about to completely envelop him, putting him into shock.

"EMBER!" screamed Danny as the impact and force of the blast blew him away, spinning in the air and passed out from the pure shock of the situation and impact.

Pretty much all of Amity Park was either outside looking up or watching their televisions with the live coverage of what was going on. All the ghosts were included and every single one of them had their eyes glued to the sky where the giant green explosion had appeared, all of them hoping that it was high enough and wouldn't reach them here on the ground.

On the other hand, Jack and Maddie were looking up with looks of absolute fury on their faces, realizing that their special weapon was going to be a complete bust because it was indeed completely out of range to affect anything, way too high in the sky.

"Curse those two ghosts whoever they are, they ruined our plan," said Jack shaking a fist in the air, unable to see either of the ghosts that had caught the ecto eraser in midair and flown it into the sky.

"Jack I think one of them is that ghost girl Ember that all the teens in town were going crazy over a couple months ago," said Maddie with narrowed eyes. She remembered Jazz had her Ember McLain merchandise around the house for a week when that whole thing had been going on, and she's pretty sure that's exactly who had flown in. The flaming blue hair was a pretty big giveaway.

Vlad Plasmius was still restricted on the ground and suddenly had a look of complete relief on his face while looking into the sky. Turns out young Daniel and his girlfriend had saved everyone, himself included. As much as it pained him to admit it he had to appreciate the heroics of his enemy, though whether or not he was in the blast radius was unknown, as well as Ember.

"Well this would certainly be a unique twist if young Daniel and Ember were to perish while saving everyone," said Plasmius lightly to himself while grinning. Peeking at Jack and Maddie, he took advantage of them being distracted to try to wiggle himself out of his restrictions, though it was proving difficult due to the zapping effects of the Jack o nine tails.

Elsewhere, Sam, Tucker, Kitty, and Johnny were all looking up themselves and were in complete disbelief of what they were seeing. Each had a look of terror on their face except for Johnny who was still pretty torn on what he should feel.

"DANNY, NO, PLEASE TELL ME YOU WEREN'T IN THAT," screamed Sam to herself as tears started to fall from her eyes, unable to bear the thought that Danny could have possibly been in that blast.

"I don't see him, or Ember, it's too high up," said Kitty looking all around for any sign of her best friend and Danny but not finding any trace of either.

Finally, Ember was still leaning down on her guitar and urging it to fly down as fast as it could go. She'd flown wide enough of the blast to stay out of it, but was now scanning the horizon for any sign of Danny.

"Baby Pop, where the hell are you, if you leave me like this I swear I'll never forgive you," said Ember roughly to herself while zooming downward. Her head was darting back and forth rapidly as she looked for her boyfriend.

As she maneuvered her way around the blast, careful not to get too close to it, she noticed that it was starting to fade a little, having reached it's maximum range and exhausted all it's fuel. Flying low enough that she was now beneath the blast range she was now able to see clearly in every direction towards the ground, but still no sign of Danny. And that was not a comforting sight, since he had been beneath her, he was much closer to the ground. If she couldn't locate him before she reached the ground herself, that would mean he's already landed in a big splat.

"Where is he where is he where is..." Ember was muttering to herself when she suddenly flew right into something she hadn't even seen while scanning the ground. Whatever it was it had slapped her right in the face. Pulling it off without stopping her decent she looked at it and gasped. It was the ski mask Danny had been wearing. Somehow it had blown right off his face and hit Ember, he had to be close.

Looking back down again with narrowed eyes, Ember looked back and forth with more focus than she'd ever used in her entire existence, determined to find him before she reached the ground. And then suddenly, while zooming towards the ground like a missile, she caught a glimpse in the corner of her eye of a white figure rolling in midair and falling towards the ground. It was Danny, still in the white winter coat he'd taken to use as a disguise, but his face no longer covered. He was unconscious from the impact but appeared to be unharmed, just covered in some kind of green residue from the explosion.

"DANNY, I'M COMING," screamed Ember towards her boyfriend even though he couldn't hear her. Lowering herself almost completely flat on her guitar, she was flying in a straight line towards Danny, only a few hundred feet away from the ground and closing in fast.

Ember extended her arms to their full length, using all of her willpower to urge her guitar to go faster. She was closing in on him, but was she going to get to him in time? Every foot felt like a new panic attack as she reached for him, tears of desperation flowing out of her eyes and into the air behind her.

Sam, standing on a nearby building with Kitty, was still looking up and hoping to locate Danny herself. While rotating her head from side to side she suddenly spotted two figures rapidly descending to the ground, only about a hundred feet above the surface. She realized the one closer was Danny, and he was still in his human form, for some reason not turning ghost. And only slightly above him was Ember, reaching out with all her might to grab him before he hit. Sam was now gasping in a panic, reaching up to grab her hair as she felt like she could pass out herself. She suddenly found herself actually feeling very different about Ember, even if it would only be for the next few seconds.

"Please catch him, save him Ember, I can't lose him like this," said Sam on autopilot to herself softly, not even processing what she was saying, just wanting Danny to be saved.

Ember was stretching her arms out so long that they were practically growing extra long.

"So close, so close," said Ember through gritted teeth. They were only about fifty feet away from the ground as her fingertips brushed against his body. Groaning loudly she gave one more urge of her guitar to go just a tiny bit faster to close the last little bit of distance separating them. Almost as if her guitar actually had a mind of it's own, she closed the last of the separation and was able to grab Danny by his arm and pull herself to him, wrapping both her arms around his body.

Sam couldn't stop herself from smiling gleefully as she saw Ember get a hold of Danny and quickly turn her guitar away from the ground, moving horizontal and crash landing herself on top of another nearby roof with Danny on top of her, gripping him like he was about to disappear.

As soon as Ember stopped rolling on the ground with Danny all she could bring herself to do was hold onto him as tight as possible, hugging him in shock with her eyes closed tightly as a million thoughts were racing through her mind. They were going through her mind so fast she couldn't even process them. Slowly opening her eyes she peeked at Danny's face, seeing his eyes closed and his body completely limp.

"Danny, Baby Pop," said Ember softly as she stroked his cheek, hoping his eyes would open. But nothing happened, he stayed completely still and seemed lifeless. "DANNY, WAKE UP."

Ember started lightly shaking her boyfriend by his shoulders, her emotions quickly rising and starting to panic. She put her head to his chest and his heart was still beating, which seemed like a good sign, but he wasn't waking up or moving. She was so focused on Danny she didn't even notice Sam approaching in the air, being carried by Kitty.

"DANNY, IS HE OKAY?" screamed Sam as she rushed to his side, ignoring Ember as she was cradling his face in her arms.

Ember wanted to tell her to shove off and get out of her space, but she didn't have the energy right now while she was so worried for Danny and with everything that had happened throughout the morning. Good grief was it still only the morning? Ember felt like she'd already gone through a whole weeks worth of crazy since she and Danny woke up in her realm earlier.

"His heart is still beating and he's still breathing, but he's not waking up," said Ember still cupping his cheek, very subtly trying to pull Danny a bit closer to her so Sam couldn't have any room to get closer.

But Sam didn't seem to care that Danny was in Ember's arms or that she was right beside the ghost that two days ago she'd tried to destroy. Like Ember, her only concern right now was that Danny was okay.

"Did that blast affect him at all, was he in his human form, did it maybe destroy his ghost half?" said Sam in rapid fashion, barely breathing between her questions.

"I don't know, it all happened so fast and I couldn't exactly see what happened after he jumped off my guitar," said Ember, slowly pulling Danny's head to her chest, trying to discourage Sam from trying anything.

"HE JUMPED OFF YOUR GUITAR, WHAT WAS HE THINKING AND HOW COULD YOU LET HIM DO THAT," screamed Sam, now glaring at Ember and dropping her worried tone.

"I DIDN'T LET HIM DO IT YOU FREAKING HIPPIE, HE DID IT ON HIS OWN WITHOUT WARNING," Ember shouted back, electricity sparking in both of the girls eyes as their regular heated resentment for each other was quickly returning.

"Oh my afterlife would the two of you quit going for each other's throats for two minutes, your boyfriend and your best friend is unconscious and you're still ready to behead each other," said Kitty who was now standing near Danny's feet and looking back and forth at the two, though she was of course ready to take Ember's side if anything started.

"He's not her best friend anymore, Danny gave her a chance to make peace with everyone and she opted against it," said Ember still glaring.

"And you're crazy if you actually thought I would just allow myself to be removed from Danny's life, I care about him more than you'll ever know," said Sam through gritted teeth. "You've known him for a couple months and at first tried to kill him, I've known him since we were both little kids. I still know him so much better than you do."

"Sure you've known him longer, but I know him so much better in other ways, for starters where he enjoys being touched when we're kissing," said Ember smirking. Sam was starting to shake with rage again and her face began to turn red. Kitty face palmed herself, though in the back of her head she was also smirking along with Ember.

Both girls were once again completely zeroed in on the other that they failed to even realize that the eyes of the boy between them had very slowly started to creep open, processing where he was and what was going on. Once he deduced it he was rolling his own eyes.

"Seriously, I basically go skydiving with a bomb not knowing if I'd live through it, apparently get caught before I hit the ground, and the two of you still can't stop wanting to scalp each other?" said Danny in a low groan as his eyes oved back and forth from the two, though his smile was reserved for Ember.

Both girls quickly snapped their faces to look at Danny and did a complete 180 on their expression, going from rage to happiness. Ember wrapped her arms completely around Danny's head and pulled him against her chest, kissing his head numerous times before lifting his face to look her in the eyes.

"You damn stupid dipstick, don't you EVER do that to me again or I swear I'll make you a full ghost," said Ember roughly before she crushed her lips against his, at the same time daring Sam to do something to break their lip lock. She'd slice her lips off if she did anything right now.

Sam didn't try to do anything, but was still completely enraged as she watched the two passionately kiss each other longingly, so much jealousy filling her entire body.

"I'm sorry Ember, I just couldn't take the chance that the bomb would go off while it was next to you," said Danny as he reached up to stroke her hair lightly.

"So are you really okay, did anything happen to you at all since you were in your human form," asked Kitty, looking him up and down. Except for some ecto goo that was splattered on his clothes he did seem to be okay.

"Well I guess there's only one way to find out for sure, I'm going ghost," said Danny as he spread his arms wide. He closed his eyes tight and braced for whatever was about to happen. Hoping the ring would appear around his body, Danny kept his eyes shut for the whole thing, not even sure if it was actually happening.

Everyone stayed silent for a few moments and waited for Danny to say something.

"Did it work, am I still half ghost?" said Danny, too nervous to open his eyes.

When nobody answered Danny slowly peeked through one of his eyes, looking at Ember and seeing a big smile on her face. He then slowly opened his other eye and looked at both Kitty and Sam, who were also smiling at him happily, Sam giving him a nod. Looking down at his body, Danny saw the familiar black jumpsuit with white trim, gloves, and boots. Looking at his hand he very lightly charged some ecto energy into it, making his hand glow green like he's done a few hundred times at this point. Letting the green glow fade he smiled even bigger than the girls were, looking at each of them in turn again before stopping on Ember.

"You did it Baby Pop, you stopped the bomb and still have your powers," said Ember as she took his hand in hers.

Danny slowly rose to his feet before starting to float in the air, rising up slightly with Ember coming with him, returning her smile. Sam, though happy he was okay and still had his powers, was feeling mad again as she watched the ghost couple rise in the air together, something she couldn't do. Kitty just watched with a smile on her face, so happy that they were still together. Pulling both of their hands and placing them against his own chest, Danny cupped Ember's face with his other hand and slowly pulled her into a passionate kiss, just savoring the moment that they were still together and that they'd gotten through the chaos of that bomb. But they still had to get through the rest of the chaos this morning had brought, and it wasn't hitting a pause button.

"Well now, it would seem that the ghost boy and the traitor are enjoying a moment together, how thoughtless of us to interrupt it," said Walker sarcastically as a swarm of ghosts flew up from beneath the buildings out of nowhere, surrounding the ghostly couple again.

Danny and Ember quickly separated their lips and looked in every direction, seeing that once again they were surrounded by the ghost army that had come after them. Turning so they were both back to back, they braced themselves to fight yet again, so annoyed that the craziness just wouldn't end. Sam and Kitty both looked scared from below that yet another round of insanity was about to start, Kitty preparing to fly up to join her friends and Sam readying her wrist ray to fire.

"Come on, seriously, how much more of this shit is going to happen today?" said Ember lightly, mostly to herself as she looked back and forth at all the ghosts surrounding them.

Danny was so exhausted from everything he barely had the energy to take a defensive stance. His whole body felt quite sore from everything and his mind was still recovering from the shock of being in the blast of the bomb. But life seemed to enjoy tormenting him since it took less than two minutes for him and Ember to be surrounded again. While scanning the ghosts that were surrounding them, he suddenly noticed two very big absences.

"Hey, where's Plasmius, and Skulker?" Danny demanded as he looked into Walker's eyes, who was about ten feet in front of him.

"The half ghost that was coordinating the assault on the two of you has fled the city like a true coward, and Skulker seems to have disappeared somewhere unknown as well," said Walker crossing his arms. "Once we realized that you had taken care of the bomb that would have destroyed all of us, we were all ready to direct our attention towards Plasmius instead for almost leading us to our permanent end. But it seems he flew off before any of us realized he was gone, and we all scattered away from those two ghost hunters before they could try to destroy us some other way. Now here we are once again with the two of you, funny how things seem to work out in the end."

Walker was grinning maliciously at the two teen ghosts, along with all the other ghosts that were surrounding them. Technus, the Lunch Lady, Spectra, Desiree, and so many others were still present and smiling like they were all about to attack.

"So I don't suppose any of you came to maybe thank us for saving your butts before we start fighting again?" said Danny frowning, amazed that even after everything he and Ember had just done they were still going to try to destroy him and capture Ember.

"You misunderstand ghost child, we're only here to do the first of those things you just said," said Technus with a wide grin as he raised a clenched fist.

Danny and Ember both looked at him, then each other, then back to the other ghosts, confused looks on both of their faces.

"We've decided that since the two of you just saved our asses, we're going to give you a temporary truce on this whole thing," said Spectra as she put her hands on her hips.

"So...you're not going to try to destroy me or haul Ember to your prison?" Danny said while looking at Walker again.

"While we are ghosts and do enjoy the jobs that come with being ghosts, we are not without our decency," said Walker while looking back and forth between the couple. "And the two of you risking yourselves the way you did to save all of us is worthy of granting a temporary truce, but the key word is temporary."

Danny and Ember looked at each other and slowly lowered their aggressive stance. While their actions did technically save all the ghosts present, Walker was very wrong about one thing. They had absolutely not done what they did to save them, it was really only to save Ember, Kitty, and Johnny, all the other ghosts were not a priority. But there was no way they were about to admit that to them right now.

"Um, thanks I guess, so how long with this truce of yours last?" asked Danny, hoping it would be quite a long time, but he wasn't about to get his hopes up.

"Oh we can't make it that convenient for you, there's no fun in that," said Desiree while tapping her fingers together. "Just enjoy it while you can, because we aren't going to just forget about the two of you."

That wiped the look of gratitude right off both Danny and Ember's faces. Why couldn't it ever be simple?

"Well aren't all of you such a treat, what would I ever do without any of you?" said Ember sarcastically while rolling her eyes.

"We take our leave for now, but worry not, we will be back to finish this in the future," said Walker as all the ghosts started laughing before dispersing in different directions. Since the ghost shield was still up they'd have to wait until it was lowered before they could head back to the ghost zone. In the meantime they'd just have to settle for some fun in the human world.

"Gee, how will we ever think of a way to thank them for their generosity," said Danny, torn between whether he should be thankful or annoyed.

Jack and Maddie were sitting in the Fenton RV, driving wildly through the town and looking for all the ghosts that had scattered once the ecto eraser had gone off in the sky, too high for the blast to reach any of the ghosts that were here on the ground with them. And during all the distractions, the Wisconsin ghost had managed to wiggle out of his restraints and flee the scene. Unfortunately neither of the married ghost hunters had seen which way he'd gone.

"Those ghosts are the luckiest things in the world right now, escaping the Fenton's with their afterlives intact," said Jack as he zig zagged down all the streets, looking into the sky along with Maddie.

"Those two troublemakers may have stopped our ecto eraser, but the Fenton's are still on the job and will drive them all away from our town," said Maddie with narrowed eyes.

As they patrolled the streets they weren't seeing any signs of the ghost swarm anywhere, wondering if they had all fled after the scare of getting destroyed by the eraser.

"Well Jack, we may not have destroyed all the ghosts, but it seems we did at least drive them away," said Maddie as she lifted her goggles up and removed the hood of her jumpsuit.

"Well then a job well done Maddie, looks like I can finally have my second helping of ham," said Jack, his happy go lucky expression back on his face as he reached into a compartment of the RV and pulled out a whole ham on a bone, wrapping his mouth around the whole thing like a Looney Tunes character.

"Jazz honey, you can lower the ghost shield, everything is safe now," said Maddie, grabbing the radio and communicating with her daughter.

Back in the Op Center, Jazz heard her mom call to her on the radio and say that she could lower the shield. While she was thrilled that the ghost attack seemed to be over, she was still extremely worried about Danny. She now knew that he was for some reason back in town and not in Alabama since earlier during the whole chaos she'd heard her dad mention on the radio that he had been spotted fighting other ghosts at one point.

"Danny, I don't know what happened to get you back in Amity Park so early, just please be okay out there," said Jazz to herself while looking out the window, hoping to see any sign of her brother. While she was looking out the window she heard her dad's voice on the radio again.

"Jazz sweetie, so our ecto eraser did work, but two ghosts somehow flew it into the sky and it detonated out of range of anything, making it a complete waste," said Jack to Jazz.

Jazz's curiosity perked up immediately as she heard what happened. Two ghosts somehow flew the bomb into the sky? One of them was most likely Danny, but who was the other? And how could Danny have stopped the bomb if he was in his ghost mode? Just touching it should have made it blow if he was transformed when he touched it.

"Um, did you see who the ghosts were that did this?" asked Jazz, not sure what to expect the answer to be or if she was even prepared for it.

"Well we couldn't actually tell what ghost actually grabbed the bomb as it was completely bundled up in bulky winter clothes," came Maddie's voice now. "Probably wearing several layers on it's hands which is how it was able to touch the bomb without it blowing. But the second ghost looked just like that rock and roll ghost that you and all the kids in town were going crazy for a few months ago. The one with the blue hair who's posters were all over town, Ember I think her name is.

Jazz almost dropped the radio from her hand once her mom said Ember's name. Ember McLain was one of the ghosts that had stopped the bomb from blowing all the ghosts in town out of existence? Her mind quickly started flashing back to the last couple nights and the things she thought she saw but had convinced herself she hadn't seen.

"Danny and Ember flying through the house while I was getting a drink, Danny and Ember flying through the house while I was studying, and now Danny and Ember saving ghosts in town together?' Jazz mumbled lightly out loud to herself while staring blankly at the wall in front of her. "Danny had that date a while ago but he didn't tell me who it was, just some girl he was seeing in a new light. Is it really possible?"

Jazz was using her genius level brain to rapidly run through all the things that were in her head, trying to piece them together and see if they made sense. But the more she put it together, the more clear the hypothetical picture seemed to get. Could her little brother somehow actually be in a relationship of some kind with Ember McLain? And if so how in the name of Einstein did that happen?

"Little brother, you keep getting more and more peculiar every day, I wish I could actually talk to you about all this, it's making me crazy not to," said Jazz while looking out the window again.

She thought about how Danny had seemed much happier in the last month or so, and how it had started right around the time he went on his date with the mystery girl. Could he really be in a happy relationship with Ember McLain? If he was she had some mixed feelings since Ember was supposedly an evil ghost last she heard, but what if that wasn't actually the case? What if she wasn't and Danny and her somehow actually just fell for one another and were happy together? So many thoughts and more kept coming to her, but ultimately she was processing the possibility of her little brother having a ghost girlfriend. Since she didn't really know anything at all about Ember she couldn't really put much thought behind it. But honestly, she knew what she looked like, and the image of the two of them together actually looked kinda nice as she pictured it. Seeing the two together in her mind actually made her smile a little bit, thinking it was rather cute and something Danny deserved as long as he was happy. But of course that didn't explain one other big question, why was he back in Amity Park so early and how long ago had he gotten back? These were unfortunately things she couldn't confront him about without revealing she knew his secret. Curses.

Danny and Ember were still floating in the air together, looking a little uneasy as all the ghosts flew away with the promise to return at an undetermined point in the future. The couple held hands together as they turned to look at each other, a worried look on both of their faces.

"Not exactly the cleanest getaway, but at least we got through the events of this insane morning," said Danny with a slightly dull expression that Ember was matching.

"Well we'll just have to make sure that whenever this truce of theirs ends we're ready to push them all back," said Ember with a serious look on her face.

While they were smiling at each other Danny got one more surprise attack. Out of nowhere he felt a huge force tackle him from behind and was now hugging him to the ground. Thinking at first that one of the ghosts decided not to honor this truce, he pushed the figure up just enough to realize that it wasn't one of them. It was Klemper. Danny suddenly groaned loudly as his sore body was being hugged pretty roughly.

"Phantom is safe and can still be my frieeeeeeend," said Klemper happily with a smile. Ember crossed her arms once she realized who it was that had surprised them and lowered herself right over Klemper.

"Get the hell off him you overgrown baby," said Ember as she grabbed him by the back of his pajamas and pulled him off of her boyfriend.

"Ugh, you really need to find a different way to greet people," said Danny while getting back to his feet and brushing off his suit.

"Oh boy, now Phantom and I can still have our fun day together as frieeeeeends, I'm so happy," said Klemper while he bounced up and down on the spot.

While Danny was beyond grateful for Klemper's help earlier with Skulker, he was definitely not up for any bone crushing hugs right now or who knows whatever Klemper wanted to do together. Though he did deserve to be thanked properly after his rescue earlier.

"Look Klemper, I really appreciate your help earlier and I will absolutely make it up to you, but I'm just way too exhausted right now after dealing with everything this morning," said Danny pleading and rubbing his sore shoulders. "I promise we can be friends like I said, and after today I'll even be your friend for a week, just please not now."

Klemper's face was now beaming with happiness as Danny said he'd extend his friendship with him.

"Yes yes yes, Phantom will be my best friend now after I helped him with hunter ghost," said Klemper, talking in his signature way like a big baby.

Danny suddenly remembered that Klemper had been the one that was with Skulker earlier and they never saw him leave.

"Hey, you didn't see what happened to Skulker by any chance did you? None of the other ghosts seem to know where he went?" asked Danny

Klemper stopped bouncing happily and looked at Danny.

"Oh, I'm not really sure, after Phantom and Ember flew into the sky I wanted to help, but was unable to find my friend after the blast went off," said Klemper.

Danny looked over at Ember, then Sam, then Kitty, all of them wondering the same thing. What happened to Skulker and was he part of the truce the other ghosts had made? He could be back on the hunt right now and watching them.

As they were looking at each other they could hear the sound of a motorcycle down below driving their way. Looking towards the ground, they saw Johnny and Tucker riding up together in the middle of the road. Danny looked at everyone and they all silently knew what each was thinking, they they should all recap together. Danny looked at Klemper one more time before he and Ember flew down.

"Thanks again for everything Klemper, but we all need to go now," said Danny, hoping the pajama ghost wouldn't crush him in a hug again.

"Yay, Phantom is safe and now I can continue planning our fun day together, now a fun week together," said Klemper as he took off into the sky excitedly.

Danny groaned again at the fear of what that week in the future could contain, probably lots of unwanted hugs. But he'd have to worry about that in the future. Taking Ember's hand they two of them lowered themselves to the street below while Kitty carried Sam, meeting Tucker and Johnny.

"So I take it the whole ordeal is over with," said Tucker as he hopped off the motorcycle, looking relieved that he didn't have to be on it anymore.

"For now at least, thought for how long we aren't sure. All the ghosts gave us a temporary truce for saving them, but we have no idea how long it will last," said Danny, turning his head to look at everyone present, still holding Ember's hand.

"So what are the two of you going to do about it, will you both be safe at all?" asked Tucker, seeming legitimately concerned for the two of them. Sam glared at Tucker angrily, upset that he was actually showing concern for Ember and not just Danny. They shouldn't concern themselves with whatever happened to her.

"We don't know, we're still just relieved that we got out of all of this in one piece and are still together," said Ember, leaning closer to Danny and using her free hand to hug his arm while they held hands. Kitty smiled at how in love they looked, Sam looked like she was holding back vomit.

"Well if the whole thing is over with does that mean I can stop participating, I only did so because Kitty made me," said Johnny, looking quite eager to go. Kitty was now glaring at her boyfriend for this.

"Let's get one thing straight Johnny," said Kitty as she marched over to him and looked really serious. "Ember is my best friend, and Danny is her boyfriend. So that means they are our friends too and you will accept that if you know what's good for you."

Kitty got right up in Johnny's face with eyes of fire, making Johnny lean back in fear for his afterlife. Forcing a smile he put his hands up in surrender.

"Um, yeah whatever you say baby, Phantom and I are buds now, right buddy?" said Johnny looking over at Danny, scared out of his mind right now of his hardcore girlfriend.

"Um, yeah, I think I'd like that," said Danny, not entirely lying. He never has liked having ghost enemies, and if he was able to get on better terms with more of them he'd actually like that a lot. He didn't see himself and Johnny starting some kind of bromance anytime soon, but just to be on decent terms was something he'd be fine with.

"He he, hey Ember, does Danny get scared of you like that?" asked Tucker hopefully, loving an excuse to poke fun at his best friend. Ember smirked back at Tucker and batted her eyes at Danny.

"Oh he definitely looked scared out of his mind this morning when he woke up and found me on top of him," said Ember, watching Danny turn stiff as a board and turn the deepest shade of red from embarrassment. Tucker and Sam's mouths both dropped at her statement, not having expected that. Tucker looked completely envious while Sam looked mortified.

"Is she serious dude?" asked Tucker in complete shock, watching Danny try to hide his red cheeks quite unsuccessfully.

"Why so shy Baby Pop, if sure felt like you were enjoying it this morning," said Ember smirking and winking at her boyfriend, who looked like he was about to melt from embarrassment. Sam was feeling so enraged and jealous she was moments away from once again launching herself at Ember in pure fury. But someone else was walking their way and calling out to them.

"Hey Danny, so I take it you succeeded in your whole plan," said Valerie as she slowly walked towards the group. She was holding a ski rod and using it as a crutch while limping on her twisted ankle, keeping her weight off of it.

"VALERIE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" screamed Sam who couldn't believe both her eyes and ears right now. "DID YOU JUST CALL HIM DANNY?"

Danny and Ember obviously knew there wasn't any point in trying to play it off, so they might as well tell everyone what happened earlier.

"Guys it's okay, she knows. We had a little incident earlier before the bomb was launched that resulted in Valerie seeing who I was," said Danny while stepping forward, his face still pretty red but glad the subject had been changed. "Valerie now knows who I am but it's all okay, we're good with each other now."

Sam and Tucker looked at Danny in disbelief that yet another of his "enemies" was suddenly on good terms with him. First Ember, then Kitty, then Klemper, now Valerie? What else was going to happen in this crazy upside down world. Both of them however were not just willing to brush the whole thing off without saying anything. Looking back at Valerie, both Sam and Tucker walked up to her meaning business, Sam more so than Tucker.

"I don't know exactly what happened for you to find out about Danny, but if you even think of telling anyone..."

"Oh please, I get it, you'll skin me alive or something right?" said Valerie cutting Sam off, shutting her up quickly in surprise. She'd already gotten a threat from Ember, she didn't need another one. "Relax, I won't tell anyone, you can trust me. Besides Ember there already threatened me about this and I'm way more scared of her than I am of you two."

That wiped the expression right off Sam's face, Tucker however looked impressed again, and smiled at Valerie in his own Foley style. He had not forgotten the last time he tried to get close to Valerie and if anything she seemed even more interesting now that she knew about Danny. In fact it might even work in his favor if he wanted to try to ask her out again.

"Keep your tongue in your mouth Foley, like Danny and Ember I've had enough for one morning, I don't need to be hit on as well," said Valerie with a frown, making Tucker's smile fade quickly. "I just wanted to say that I'm glad you're okay Danny, and I'm sorry for everything that's happened between us in the past. I'm still not exactly happy with how my dad lost his job and our house and all that, but I get now that you didn't do any of it on purpose."

Danny smiled at Valerie, appreciating that they were coming to an understanding with each other.

"Thanks Valerie, that means a lot to me, and I do hope that in the future we can be on better terms," said Danny, Valerie nodding in response. "Well I think this has gone on long enough and I'm ready for a nap before I have to make it look like I'm returning from Alabama tonight, so I think Ember and I are going to head out."

Ember looked at Danny with a smile, definitely wanting to get out of there herself and spend the next countless hours just snuggled together and destressing.

"You took the words right out of my mouth Baby Pop, let's get out of here," said Ember with a quick smirk towards Sam. While still holding hands, the ghost couple took off into the sky and away from the scene. Sam watched in pure anger and cursed the universe for torturing her like this.

Danny and Ember however were completely absorbed in their own thoughts as they flew away together, just happy to have a moment to gather their thoughts and not worry that someone was chasing them and trying to destroy them. That would all return in the future at some point, but for now they were savoring the moment. They'd been through enough chaos in this crazy weekend to last a whole year. With the ghost shield now down they were able to freely fly together back to Fenton Works, but they didn't really have a set destination in mind. Despite the truce they didn't think going back to her realm in the ghost zone was the safest move and hanging out in Danny's room would be like playing with fire. Looking at each other as they got closer to Fenton Works, they were silently trying to figure out where to go.

"Let's just see if the Op center is clear for now and we can figure out what to do from there, I can still hear my parents out and about in the RV, which isn't exactly a quiet vehicle," said Danny looking over his shoulder in the direction that the RV was still revving up and speeding along the streets.

As the two got close to the Op center, Danny peeked inside by fazing his head through the ceiling. It seemed to be empty so he pulled Ember down into the room with himself, going solid again and falling to his knees with a huge sigh.

Ember crouched down behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck, just glad that she was still able to hug him and hadn't lost him in the craziness.

"I don't know what I would have done if I lost you today, I came so close to that happening," said Ember as she placed a gentle kiss on Danny's cheek from behind him.

Danny reached his hand up to take a hold of both of Ember's beneath his chin, equally glad that she wasn't being hauled off to Walker's prison right now.

"Let's just not talk about today or any of the crazy stuff that's happened over this weekend and just be together for five peaceful minutes," said Danny as he stood back up and pulled Ember into a hug, turning her head to passionately kiss her after a few moments. They both stood there, not moving as they kissed for several minutes before eventually separating their lips. Smiling at each other they floated over to the control panels, Danny sitting down in one of the chairs and facing the window.

"I don't think I can go back to my realm again," said Ember as she sat sideways in Danny's lap, laying her head on his shoulder.

"I agree, I don't trust all those ghosts to leave you alone if you were to go back, but I also don't have any idea where you could stay for now on," said Danny while lightly stroking her back. "I'd love to offer to let you stay here, but eventually my parents would find out about you and they probably wouldn't be too thrilled."

"Yeah, and the last thing I'd need is for them to accidentally walking in on us while we're kissing on your bed," said Ember with a light smirk. "I enjoyed sneaking into your room before, but that was always quick and I didn't stay long before we left."

"Well, first thing that'll be on our new agenda is figuring out where it'll be safe for you to stay for now on, but right now let's just relax until my parents come back, we'll be able to hear them," said Danny, giving Ember another quick peck on the lips.

The two snuggled together and just enjoyed being so close for a while, looking out the window and savoring a rare moment of peace together during this chaos filled weekend. But before long they heard the sound of the Fenton RV returning outside and realized they'd have to go somewhere else until Danny "returned" from Alabama. As they held hands again and flew out of the Op center, they were completely unaware of their audience and the amazed look that had been on her face since they flew in half an hour ago.

Jazz had seen the two ghosts approaching from the Op center while she was looking out the window, realizing they were coming her way. Quickly hiding inside a supply cabinet, she had been peeking out the door since her brother had entered the room. She had to show great restraint to keep herself in place and to stay completely silent as she watched her little brother and Ember McLain get so close and intimate together. She was completely blown away now that she had confirmed what she had suspected earlier that morning. Danny was in a relationship with Ember McLain, and they looked so amazingly happy together. Now that they were gone she could finally come out of the cramped supply closet and stretch her arms and legs.

"Unbelievable, Danny and Ember are actually a couple, this is incredible," said Jazz who couldn't help but smile, thinking it was so great that Danny was in a happy relationship. She certainly never would have thought he'd end up with someone like Ember of all people, but in the past she also never would have thought that she'd have a brother with super powers, so why should this be any less believable? Moving over to the window she saw the two of them flying away together, hand in hand, and smiled again. Hopefully someday soon she'd be able to talk to Danny about everything.

As Danny and Ember kept flying together in the sky, not having any particular destination in mind, there was unfortunately one other pair of eyes watching them. Unlike Jazz, this pair of eyes was not smiling, instead they were glaring.

"I swear this is not over, I am making it my top priority to take the two of you down one way or another," said Vlad Plasmius from the roof he was on, peeking around the water tower he was hiding behind.

He'd suffered two humiliating defeats in the span of three days, and that was unacceptable. He was going to have revenge on the teen ghost couple and he planned on making it as miserable as possible for both of them. And he wasn't going to do it alone.

"Let's go popsicle, we have work to do," said Plasmius as he picked up Skulker, still frozen in a solid block of ice that was barely melting due to the cool December air. With one more glare in the direction of Danny and Ember, Plasmius flew off into the sky in the direction of his mansion in Wisconsin.

A/N Well that is a wrap on yet another chapter. Danny and Ember managed to get out of it in one piece but that hardly means their troubles are over, but hopefully they can enjoy some peace together until that time comes. This was another tricky chapter to write as I was covering quite a few angles and characters and had to proofread and edit very carefully after I finished the rough draft. I almost forgot to add Klemper to the whole aftermath thing and had to rewrite that whole scene ass a result. I also thought it was about time that Jazz learned about Danny's relationship, but it is quite frustrating for her to not be able to talk to him about it since she cares about him so much. Anyway, this is being treated as a midseason finale even though we're actually past the midway point of the story. I love you all and will be back in a few weeks to continue the story after I regroup. In the meantime I hope all of you are still loving the story and hope you'll show me by leaving a REVIEW!
