Harry woke feeling groggy. For a moment he didn't know where he was until he turned around and remembered he was in his godfather's house. He was having nightmares he hadn't had in years, he took a deep breath; he was going to have to get used to reliving the past. Today they would start the second book, the events of the Chamber of Secrets weren't going to be good for him or for any of the Weasleys, and he tried to go back to sleep but it was impossible. So he got up, did his morning routine, took a shower, and reluctantly walked into the Kitchen. He was surprised when he found Ginny reading at the table drinking tea.
"Good morning Ginny."— He said sitting in front of her— "You couldn't sleep?"
"Good morning, Oh no I slept well enough just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. I remembered what we were going to read today."
Harry nodded going for a cup of tea. He tried to look for Kreacher but he couldn't find him.
Ginny smiled –"Kreacher isn't awake yet or he's hiding"
"We're going to have to do something about him being nicer to everyone else and regarding the book, yes it won't be easy."— He frowned, it was rare speaking to Ginny. He spent most of the summer with her and they had talked a little bit about a few things like Quidditch and their favorite books, he was glad that she no longer blushed and ran away every time he was in the room, but now that he thought about it, he actually hadn't spoken to just her. How could he forget about her experience, he didn't check back on her.
"I'm sorry."— He said making her look up at him with surprise.
"What for?"
"For not being there for you, I just realized that I never checked up on you again after the chamber"— Ginny tilted her head with an expression he identified as curiosity.
" You did check up on me. Remember when we saw each other in the Leaky Cauldron you asked me how it went with the nightmares, you told me that they would get better once I started accepting it hadn't been my fault."
"Well yes, I remember but I mean I could've done more"
Ginny laughed. –"Oh Harry, that is very sweet of you but my second year and your third year were completely different. I only connected with those people I didn't have an opportunity to meet and I secretly apologized to those who I endangered. Your third year was complicated. You were being chased by a mass murderer and the Dementors were very much in love with you. Ron gave me a few details and I don't think you had enough time to do anything else but stay safe. I really don't blame you for not checking up on me. The family was already suffocating me enough.
Harry smiled–"Suffocating in what way?"
"Mom didn't want me to go back for second year; it took a lot of convincing from Dad that nothing bad was going to happen. Bill ordered the rest of my brothers to watch over me, he sent letters regularly and took notice of the "strange" new words I would use. Charlie would send a letter every week asking about mine and if he thought I wasn't being truthful he would tell Percy to check on me and he would start following me around. The twins were starting to include me in their pranks even when I knew they didn't need me and Ron though he was busy with you guys would try to check on me by staring intensely. It was sweet but people were starting to notice."
Harry did remember a few times where Ron would just stare at her but to be totally honest with himself he was much worried about other things.—"You're the little sister they were worried"
"I know that's why I let them fuss over me, but this morning when I woke up everything came back in full force even those details I had started to forget"
"What details?"
She took sigh-"I have a few missing moments but I remember mostly everything."
Harry wanted to ask her a lot of questions, questions that he hadn't dared because she was too young but now he wanted to ask: what did you two talk about? What did he say to get you into the chamber? Did you feel him take possession of you? What was he trying to accomplish?
"Ginny, can I ask you something?
"Of course."
"I know he was trying to come back but was he really going to kill everyone?"
He saw her take a deep breath, the grasp in her teacup had tightened.
"The attack on Mrs. Norris was a warning. First, he wanted everyone to see that he was back but after I started talking about you he started hunting you."
Harry gave her a curt nod, a part of him, his much older self came to that conclusion. But for it to be confirmed, it was quite a shock.— "Months later, years later whenever my thoughts would go back to those events I pinpoint the fact that most of the attacks had happened close to me but I was never sure."
"Like I said I have a few missing moments but he was/is obsessed with you."
"Yes, tell me about it."
Both sat in silence until Kreacher rushed into the kitchen.—"Master is awake, master should've woken Kreacher"
"Good morning Kreacher. Ginny and I can manage"
"Kreacher will start making breakfast. House is awakening"
"Yes everyone is an early riser"—Harry turned back to Ginny who looked pale once again.—"Gin. I know we all have things we rather have no one know but it's going to be OK"
"I'm complaining, but we are reading your thoughts this can't be easy for you"—she smiled sadly.
"It's not; to be sincere I'm quite angry. I don't know why we can't jump to the future but there's nothing we can do about it."—He shrug
"I know you're a very private person but, perhaps we have to read the past for the details. Like a hidden message or something like that. We don't only get your life but also the details of everyone else's life from another perspective, look what happened with Ron and what is going to happen with me. I think there's something more about reading the past that we still don't understand."
Harry had to agree with her–"How did the family meeting go?"
Ginny laughed humorlessly. –"It was exhausting and embarrassing, Mom cried most of the time, Dad and Bill forced Ron to speak about his discomforts, and Percy made a few unnecessary comments."
"Did you Jinx him again?"
"No, Bill took our wands before we went into the room"
"I hope he wasn't too harsh on Ron"
"No, no one was too harsh. It's just that each one of us has accepted that we are not the richest in different ways, Bill and Charlie got almost everything new, and Percy who's always been very pompous has never accepted the fact he can't look or be at the level he "deserves". The Twins have always known they would have to work hard for it. I'm the girl I can't share everything with them and Ron got the worst of everything. I think Mom and Dad for a while just assumed Ron was going to be ok with it. I think they forgot Ron deserved one or two new things."
"I guess I can understand where Ron would be upset not having anything new is something I know about, but also your parents do their best."
"We know. We have things that other pureblood families don't... you know like Morals." –she smiled—"None of us left the room angry though Bill was really disappointed at Mom and Dad for not getting Ron a new wand for his first year"
"Let's hope Ron isn't in a bad mood today"—Harry shook his head. If Ron was in a foul mood then so would Hermione.
The first people to come down were the Hogwarts staff. The table rumbled when Hagrid sat down. "Good morning"—they all said.
Soon everybody started to come down. Sirius sat once again at the head with Dumbledore on the other end. Quickly Kreacher made sure everyone was eating. Sirius remembered to thank him and reminded him to eat, surprising the elf once again and a few house members. It was Amelia who broke the silence and addressed Dumbledore.–"I hope that the meeting you had last night ended well?"—
Dumbledore smiled suspiciously at her. –"We didn't achieve world peace but we remembered we are here for the same reason." –He said sincerely. Snape dared not to make a comment; he had promised the headmaster to behave, at least if Black did.
Harry turned around to Sirius who looked sour but nodded in agreement and Remus who had a strained but amused smile. Well, they are not dead—He thought—but I need to find out what exactly are they fighting about.
Amelia laughed and smiled at Snape and Harry realized how much of a politician she really was.—"Well that is fantastic we can't have fights like last night, too many people would have resulted in injuries but I dare say, Mr. Potter…"
Harry turned around to look at her with a calculated gaze.
—"Your reaction against a professor surprised me"—
Harry narrowed his eyes at her, what was she playing at? What was he supposed to answer, didn't the book make it clear? He could lie, brush it off, but it didn't feel right, he realized he didn't want to lie. Perhaps this would make Dumbledore stop seeing him as a child or this would help Mrs. Weasley see that Sirius is an important part of his life. So he answered truthfully.
"I don't know why exactly it surprises you. My relationship with Snape isn't the best; like I said yesterday he hates me I hate him and the book proved, it started my very first day."—By this point, everyone was attentive to what he was saying; some of the D.A couldn't believe he was actually speaking his mind.
"I remember Snape very excited about giving Sirius to the Dementors. He didn't let me, Hermione, or Ron explain though I am certain he knew there was a possibility of Sirius's innocence, he just didn't care. I know there are things from their past that I don't know and Snape…"
"Professor Snape Harry."—Dumbledore said
"is always comparing me to my dad—arrogant, rude, above authority— but everyone else tells me that dad was a very nice person, so I guess dad was different with Professor Snape. In the end, James Potter is my dad, Sirius is my godfather and Remus is my uncle, they are my family."—Harry said looking at both men. Sirius was smiling broadly and Remus looked emotional, he hoped he wouldn't start crying. –"So if I have to stand beside someone, it would be next to them."
"And that's how it should be"—Ginny said smiling at Harry and looking at her brother who was frowning at his plate, She hoped for her mother's sake that Percy would get a hold of himself and apologize.
Dumbledore was surprised at Harry's answer. It sounded mature a lot more than what he would expected. Mrs. Weasley didn't miss her husband's look. She didn't like the idea of Harry dueling anyone, especially a professor, but he had made it clear, at least that's what she got from his little speech. Sirius will come first.
Amelia nodded her approval— "I agree you must never give your back to your family. But let's try to avoid such reactions."
"So you came to a truce?"— Hermione said deflecting the attention from Harry.
"Well, nothing was established, but both of us have been warned. It won't be easy but we can try"—Sirius said coldly.
Slowly everyone finished their breakfast and walked to the Ball Room. Mrs. Weasley with a tight hold on Ginny.
Harry stayed behind. –"Kreacher."
"Yes Master"—Harry didn't know if he liked being called that but he had to make small steps with the elf or he might feel insulted.
"I would like it if you could keep the tea fresh and have some sweets, perhaps some chocolate available. Also, do we have calming draught?"
"Yes master, Kreacher has a few bottles"
"Well we are going to need at least one for anyone that wants it with their tea, this book will be intense"
"Kreacher will have it ready Master."
"Thank you."—He said going to the Ballroom.
"What took you so long?"—Ron said
"I arranged a few things for certain moments"—He pointed at the books and Ron nodded.
Amelia spoke once she sat down. — "What should I expect?"
Augusta was the one who spoke. –"This is the year where the Chamber of Secrets was open"—
The whole room froze—"Yes I remember. Cornelius didn't allow the DMLE to get involved he said he had it under control and Susan didn't speak much about it, she only told me no one knew what exactly was going on until the end of the year were once again you were involved Mr. Potter."
"Yes."— Dumbledore said. —"A very scary year for everyone."
"Is this the year that you get possessed by Voldemort?"— Moody asked Ginny
"Can you be a little bit more sensitive? It's not an easy topic for our family"—Charlie told him.
"It's all right, Charlie. Yes, this is the year"— There was an awkward silence when no one knew what to say. Some like Kingsley, the Tonks, Remus, and Sirius looked confused, the Weasley looked nervous"
Harry walked up to the little table with the books; he picked the one that had the letter with the number two on it. –"Here we go"-
You are about to start reading the second book. This is titled Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This is not going to be a nice book. It's going to have a few intense chapters as Harry lived a few dangerous moments. My only advice is to discuss a few things before you start reading.
I know that by now you must be curious as to why you're reading the past, the only thing I can tell you is that it's necessary. Pay attention.
Ginny remember you're not alone. You're surrounded by people that can and will protect you.
Harry, tell them about the summer before they read it.
Harry smeared blood on the cover and went back to sit down.
"Look"— he said, up at the circle. –"This book is intense because someone was attacking students. Everyone was on edge that year. The same rules apply in the other book. NO PUNISHMENTS. Also don't judge anyone before we get the facts."—Harry looked up at Ginny before adding.—"I asked Kreacher to keep the tea fresh and a calming draught available. Use it if you need it and if you think that it's too much we can take a break"
McGonagall agreed—"I think it will be necessary. No one will think badly of anyone if you wish to stop"
"Also, something happened this summer."—Harry looked at his uncles –"I want you to stay calm"
"It's about our rescue mission isn't it"—George said, he remembered Harrys' poor starved face but the boy had never given them the details.
"Rescue mission?"—Sirius asked looking at Harry, he thought it was a joke coming from one of the twins but the tone was off.
"Yes they punished me and…"— Harry cleared his throat he was having difficulty accepting this. They were going to read it so there was no turning back. –"It's a summer that I will never forget and it was horrible and painful. But in the end, I got out. I'm here. I don't want you to overreact."— He said looking at both men—"I don't want you storming out of the house, just remember I'm right here."
Both of them nodded solemnly, the rest stayed quiet. The fact that Harry was saying it with such a serious tone meant it was not good.
"Let's start"
Dumbledore cast the charm once again.
CHAPTER ONE -The Worst Birthday
She's bored," he said. "She's used to flying around outside. If I could just let her out at night -"
"How horrible to have her locked up"
"I should've given her to Ron."
"…How about we had to write an essay about our hero at school, Mr. Mason and I wrote about you."
"Butt licker"—George murmured
"Are they always like this, Harry?"
"Yes they like gossip too much and they're fake most of the time".
"Harry couldn't feel too excited about this. He didn't think the Dursleys would like him any better in Majorca than they did on private drive."
"I will take you to Majorca pup don't worry about it."
"Thanks, but I would rather go to Italy."-Harry said and Hermione smiled that he was asking for something.
"Then we will go to Italy. Wizarding Italia is beautiful and the women are gorgeous we will take Rems" –Remus nodded remembering the libraries in Italy, missing the sour expression on Tonk's face.
"Can we go-
-we've always wanted to travel. "—the twins asked
"We can all go"
"Boys trip"—Charlie said excitedly.
"Yes, yes, y'all can have your boy's trip to admire women when we finish the books, Let's focus"—Augusta said. Mr. Weasley chuckled.
"… and sang under his breath. Happy birthday to me…. Happy birthday to me."
Everyone looked out at the boy in front of them. –"It's tough but you get used to it."— Remus said to Harry, he sadly understood what it felt like to be alone on your birthday. Yet Harry didn't have to, he had failed him. They needed to speak soon.
Neither of them had written to him all summer.
"Oh Harry you must've been really confused"
"I was hurt"
"Why weren't you writing to him?"
"We were, our letters weren't getting to him."—Ron said to Sirius
Harry hadn't told Dursleys this. He knew it was only their terror that stopped him from locking him in the cupboard under the stairs.
"They won't ever lock you under the stairs"—Mrs. Weasley said with conviction.
Harry smiled—" I know, Sirius already told me I won't go back"
Sirius was feeling really proud of himself. He felt he had just won a battle against Molly.
Harry kept waking on night, drenched in cold sweat, wondering where Voldemort was.
"I haven't had a decent night of sleep since first year."
"Perhaps a few sleeping potions?"
"Madame Pomfrey gave me a few but I can't take them to private drive."
"I know what day it is, Dudley repeated, coming right up to him. Today's your birthday. How come you haven't got any cards? Haven't you got friends at that freak place?"
"Shut up fat ass."— Ron said.
I'm trying to decide what would be the best spell to sit in on fire, Said Harry (…) Jiggery poker, Said Harry in a fierce voice hocus pocus Squiggly wiggly.
Hermione laughed. –"Oh Harry as funny as it is, Why did you have to taunt him"
"What exactly are the words you just said?"—Kingsley asked
"That is what Muggles believe Wizards say when they're doing a spell."
"Interesting"—they heard, Mr. Weasley
Harry paid dearly for his moment of fun. Aunt Petunia knew he hadn't really done magic, but he still had to duck as she aimed a heavy blow at his head with a soapy frying pan.
"What a horrible woman."
"Harry you said they never beat you."
"She didn't, it said duck."
"But she still did it with the intention of hurting you."— Sirius put his hands up, telling Harry that he would stop.—"After all of this is over and, I'm not only talking about the books I'm talking about the whole war situation. Petunia and I are going to have a little chat."
"Petunia is going to meet the wolf."— Remus said making a few people shuddered.
"The wolf?"—Augusta said alarmed
"I could explain it right now or in the third book…"
"Third book let's keep going"— Moody gruff.
Harry cleaned the windows, washed the car, mowed the lawn, trimmed the flowerbeds, pruned and watered the roses, and repainted the garden bench.
"They have you working worse than a house elf."—Augusta said disgusted
Amelia shook her head, eyes on Dumbledore. –"Can't believe this woman is Lily Potter's sister."—
And then Harry like it happened in the summer realized that his aunt was actually his mother's sister. He turned around to look at Professor Snape he didn't want to ask him anything. Not that he believed Snape to tell him about his mother, but he was curious and there was a truce so maybe…
-"Professor"— He remembered to call him for Dumbledore's sake. –"Professor Snape?"— Snape turned around to look at him with a slight glare.
"Mr. Potter?"
"Was Aunt Petunia always like this?"
Snape remained impassive, why should he answer the questions Potter was asking? He didn't have to tell him anything, that could give him leave to ask him about his mother and he had no desire to talk about…lily. Yet he looked closely at the boy and realized the question between the lines— was my mother like Petunia? — He couldn't let Potter believe such a thing. So reluctantly he spoke.
–"I've known the Evans since I was seven and Petunia was already rude and perfectionist. Watching Petunia and Li…your mother was like watching day and night. Yet they had similarities."
"Like what?"— Potter asked, Snape groaned internally this is why he didn't want to answer, he looked at Dumbledore and then at Lupin both of them had small smiles and he remembered Lupin's words last night.
"Harry has nothing from his parents because we failed him, Severus. We can't keep doing that; someone will end up hurt if we don't let him trust us."
He looked at Black who had a small glare and gave him a curt nod; they had come to an agreement. It's not like the boy was asking him anything too personal. So he only hesitated for a moment. –"They both had strong tempers, Petunia immediately jumped to insult you while your mother would listen and then use what she heard to her advantage. Both thought they were always right which had both of them fighting all the time. They were sisters but there was never a connection, if you believe they were close like the Weasleys, no. When your mother's letter arrived the gap between them became bigger."
People were surprised at Snape's speech; no one had expected him to speak so much. Sirius understood this was some sort of Olive brunch, he just hoped it lasted through the third book.
"Can't imagine always being like this, she seems really bitter."— Tonks said.
Remus agreed— "Lily once told me Petunia had felt robbed of not having magic"—.
"That's sad."—Luna said
Harry agreed and thanked Professor Snape who answered with a nod.
Eat quickly. The Masons will be here soon, snapped Aunt Petunia pointing to two slices of bread and a lump of cheese in the kitchen table.
"That's your dinner. She has perfect roast pork in the oven, and that's your dinner."— Mrs. Weasley said angrily.
"Did they always feed you like this?"— Charlie asked.
"It was their way of punishing me."
"The two green eyes from the hedge"— Luna exclaimed.
Chapter 2 –Dobby's warning.
"A house elf, that's strange. Was it free?"—Augusta said
Harry shook his head.
"Ha, in admirer"—Moody huffed.
"You could say that"— Hermione said.
He wanted to ask what are you, but thought it would sound too rude, so instead he said, "Who are you"?
"Always so polite."— Fred mocked him.
"I was a little freaked out. I had never seen a house elf didn't even know they existed."
"Sit down, said Harry politely, pointing at the bed"
"Oh no, If you didn't want to be heard, you shouldn't have said that," Sirius told him.
I'm sorry, he whispered. I didn't mean to offend you or anything.
"You honored him."— Hagrid said, proud of Harry's manners.
I know that now, but back then I was trying not to get caught.
Offend? Dobby choked the elf. Dobby has never been asked to sit down by a wizard like an equal.
"Who does he belong to?"— Augusta asked, She had been living with house elves her entire life and this one was acting very peculiar.
You can't have met many decent Wizards, said Harry.
Augusta nodded at the elf's punishment.—"He's going against in order."
"The bonds to his master must be nonexistent"—Amelia agreed
Andy agreed in disgust.—"Giving who his master is"—
"You know?"—Hermione asked surprised
"Yes, but I won't spoil. Many years of abuse can make an elf lose the respect for its master"—Andy finished.
Harry looked at Sirius who rolled his eyes. –"I get it. I'm working on it, didn't I remember him eating this morning? If he dies of shock it's on you"
"Harry Potter asks if he can help Dobby… Dobby has heard of your greatness, sir, but of your goodness, Dobby never knew…"
"My God, he's a fanatic."— Ted Tonks said.
Snape rolled his eyes. The last thing the boy needed was someone that inflate his head.
"Oh Harry, I was getting concerned not hearing about you to"-Hermione said
"Mate, you're dramatic."—Ron said but he remembered the panic of Harry not answering his letters.
"He warned you from the beginning."—The headmaster said—"No one pays attention to them"
There is a plot, Harry Potter, a plot to make most terrible things happen at Hogwarts.
"Poor Dobby, he must have felt horrible when he found out the truth"
"Unfortunately Dobby is correct, there are some forms of magic that make the user go beyond the reach of help"—Dumbledore said sadly.
"Have you been stopping my letters?"
"Dobby has them here, sir,"
"So if this isn't a prank the loyalty for his master must be none."— Fleur said angrily.
"Do you have house elves?"—Hermione said in an accusing tone.
"Oui two, they are well taken care of"
"No said Harry angrily. Give me my friend's letters.
"What the hell is the elf trying to accomplish?"
"He's going to get you in really, really big trouble."
"He did."
"For Merlin's sake lie to him."—Snape shook his head.
"I never really considered it, my panic was taking over me"
The pudding fell to the floor with a heart-stopping crash.
"Oh, now you're in serious trouble."
Harry saw Remus and Sirius preparing for what was to come. He saw Amelia grabbing her parchment. He wondered how many parchments she would have flying today around her. Yesterday she had around 10.
"Who the hell is sending you a letter? That's bad timing."
Dear Mr. Potter,
We have received intelligence that a Hover Charm was used at your place of residence this evening at twelve minutes past nine.
Amelia frown.—"What the hell is Mafalda on? Your guardians know about magic you would get a warning, something along the lines of "Mr. Potter with a reminder that even though your guardians know about magic for your own safety…" not this, this is the last warning."
"Well I got the last warning that year and the expulsion 3 years later."—Harry said bitterly
"Damn elf, he blew your cover"
"Well, I've got news for you, boy… I'm locking you up… You're never going back to that school… never… and if you try and magic yourself out — they'll expel you!"
"We would've gone for you immediately Mr. Potter"—McGonagall said.
"I'm gonna have a little chat with Petunia but with Vernon. I'm going to have a little something else. He's the one who's going to meet the wolf."— Sirius said to Remus
The following morning, he paid a man to fit bars on Harry's window.
"This man asked no questions?"—Moody asked him
"He was someone from work and he barely looked at me. I have no idea what he says about me in his job"—Harry said truthfully while everyone else growled.
He himself fitted a cat-flap in the bedroom door, so that small amounts of food could be pushed inside three times a day. They let Harry out to use the bathroom morning and evening. Otherwise, he was locked in his room around the clock. Three days later, the Dursleys were showing no sign of relenting,
Nobody said anything while the information sank in, Harry knew the outburst was coming. But looking at the faces of the people in the room, he didn't know where it was going to start. Hermione looks livid. McGonagall was red of pure anger. Dumbledore was looking at the ground clenching his hands together. Amelia was writing furiously. Sirius and Remus were whispering angrily, the first had a murderous look. Even Hagrid looked upset.
The cat-flap rattled and Aunt Petunias hand appeared, pushing a bowl of canned soup into the room. Harry, whose insides were aching with hunger, (…) Hedwig's cage and tipped the soggy vegetables at the bottom of the bowl into her empty food tray
"How long were you locked up"—Mr. Weasley asked looking pale. He remembered his kids telling him about rescuing Harry but he didn't actually believe it had been rescued.
"I really can't remember, a week perhaps."
It's no good turning your beak up at it. That's all we've got.
"You're sharing with her. It's very nice of you; a lot of people wouldn't have cared."—Luna said dreamily.
"She's my friend she endures the summers with me. I can't leave her vulnerable."
"I'm going to buy Hedwig a golden perch"
"I think if you buy her the fancy owl treats she'll be happy."
The reason why you're hungrier is because your stomach believes it will receive more food, this is torture."—Andromeda said angrily. If they didn't want him why take him, give him back to Dumbledore, she thought, her eyes narrowed at the old men.—"Albus do you pay them to keep him?"
All eyes on the headmaster—"No, Petunia knows why he has to stay with her. I didn't know…"
Sirius huffed, he was more than angry. He wanted to yell at everyone. He wanted to yell at Dumbledore. He went to grab Harry and hug him. He wanted to kill Petunia. But instead, he took a deep breath. He had promised he wasn't going to storm out of the house so instead he put his arm around Harry's shoulder and brought him close to him. There'll be time to talk to Petunia. He turned around to look at Remus and saw the same battle in his eyes.
Ron Wesley was outside his window.
"Are you Hallucinating?"
Chapter 3, the Barrow.
Harry's mouth fell open as the full impact of what he was seeing hit him. Ron was leaning out of the back window of an old turquoise car, which was parked in midair.
"The flying car wicked."—Sirius said—"I suppose that's your invention, Arthur."
Mr. Weasley nodded, very proud of himself.
"You know, you could have invited me on the adventure"— Ginny said.
"We weren't sure if you were going to rat us out."
Ginny looked quite offended by this.
Can you tell them at Hogwarts that the Dursleys have locked me up and won't let me come back, and obviously I can't magic myself out.
"Harry what stupid shit are you saying. Get in the damn car."— Remus said surprising a few people Harry included, Sirius was laughing loudly.
Remus realized what he said and apologized. He tried to ignore Tonk's amused smile. She looked so adorable. –No Remus, focus on the books. — He told himself.
"When we heard him say that, we knew he had lost it"-George said.
"Don't worry," said Fred, "and stand back."
"Get in," Ron said.
"Wow you actually rescued him"—Neville said—"That's awesome guys"
"No one should be rescued from their own home"
"Private drive isn't my home"—Harry said to Amelia making Dumbledore wince.
George took an ordinary hairpin from his pocket and started to pick the lock.
"I'm impressed, gentleman"— said Ted.
"You need to get out of there quickly."
"I've forgotten Hedwig."
"You just said she's your friend and you forgot." -Luna said disappointed
"I was really excited about escaping and she forgave me quickly."
"Let him go you don't want him in your house."—Neville said angrily.
Let him go they're just being unnecessarily cruel. I hope Professor Dumbledore you don't expect him to go back to those people."— Fleur said.
"He's not going back. You don't have to worry about that."— Remus said.
"Put your foot down, Fred!" yelled Ron, and the car shot suddenly toward the moon.
"Boys!"—Sirius yelled making them jump—"Thank you"—he said sincerely
"Anything for our little Harry"—Fred said.
"I didn't know you knew how to open locks."— Hermione said to Ron.
"The twins taught me and Ginny"
"Why?"—Mrs. Weasley said at the Twins
"Safety Mother, as you just heard"—George said shaking his head.
Can you think anyone? At school with a grudge against you.
"Draco Malfoy." The book and the people outside the book said
"Lucius Malfoy came back saying he'd never meant any of it. Load of dung — Dad reckons he was right in You- Know-Who's inner circle."
"You were right Mr. Weasley. He's practically Voldemort bitc..."
"Harry! Language." –Hermione said outraged
Those who had never heard Harry cursed gaped at him. Remus was trying to hide his chuckle. Sirius nudged him with an amused smile.
–"Sorry"
"So the elf belongs to the Malfoys?"
"Yes."—The trio said
"Mrs. Weasley, no one needs a house elf that's slavery."— Everyone who had been harassed by Hermione with S.P.E.W growled.
"Hermione leave spew for when we talk about it the books"
It's not spew. It's S.P.E.W
"Mrs. Granger, we have talked about the house elves. We said that you were not going to impose your own beliefs."
"I'm not imposing."— She defended herself from McGonagall.
"What in the bloody hell is she talking about"—Moody said
"Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare"—Ron said—"Two sickles to join" –he added quickly
"10 sickles"-Hermione corrected.
"What! Miss Granger…"—McGonagall said
"I need money; an organization just doesn't come out of nowhere."
"Hermione I will give you 100 galleons if you stop. Let's continue."— Sirius said.
Harry whispered to him—"You know you're really going to have to give her the money?"— Sirius only shrugged.
"I can see Draco doing a prank but not with something like this."
"Draco is not allowed to order the elves out of the house, only inside. Only Lucius and Narcissa can do it"—Snape said
Kingsley cleared his throat—"No one feels a little scared that a house elf just appeared in Harry's bed. Lucius could've ordered Dobby to kidnap Harry, no one would've known where or how he disappeared. All that protection and somehow you forgot that minor detail?"—Kingsley said to Dumbledore. Everyone just sat there realizing what Kingsley had said.
Remus and Sirius shared a look. How easy was it for the house elves to come and go? He would have to prohibit…
"Kreacher!"—Sirius called
The elf appeared. –"Master"
"If I order you to kidnap someone what would your answer be"
"Who Master"
"Merlin"—Molly said
"No one Kreacher you may go."
"Let's believe that Dobby does have good intentions and let's prepare for other elves."—Ginny said
"It sounds like Percy has a girlfriend"-
"There's only certain times you can polish a prefect badge."
Sirius laughed and was about to say maybe he was polishing something else, but Remus stopped him.
–"Unless you want Molly and McGonagall to hex you, I would advise you to not say what you're thinking."—He whispered
So instead, he leaned over and whispered to Harry who couldn't contain his laugh earning himself a glare from Mrs. Weasley.
Hermione growls at the description of Mr. Weasley's job.—"That's cruel, So many of the accidents I hear about in the news could be Magical Artifacts."—
"Unfortunately yes though it's rare when incidents end up in the muggle news."—Ted said
Yeah, Dad's crazy about everything to do with Muggles; our shed's full of (…) Muggle stuff. He takes it apart, puts spells on it, and puts it back together again(…) he'd have to put himself under arrest.
Mr. Weasley went red when he looked at Amelia Stern look. — "Really Arthur when we raided your house, this shed never appeared"—Ron and Harry wince at those words.
"None of the things I have in the shed are dangerous."— Mr. Weasley defended himself.
The Weasleys were a little nervous about how their house was going to be described. They all knew that it wasn't the most luxurious house but it was their home and they hoped Harry would see it.
THE BURROW a It's wonderful. Said Harry
"Thank you, Harry"—Mrs. Weasley said.
Now we'll go upstairs really quietly, said Fred. (…) Mom, look who turn up in the night and she'll be all pleased to see Harry.
A few laughed and others chuckled. –"Did you really think that was going to work?"—Tonks asked shaking her head.
"When did you realize they were gone?"—Augusta asked Molly
"The moment I woke up and saw the car missing if only they had left a letter."
"You could have died, you could have been seen, you could have lost your father his job —"
"That's true"—Sirius said.
"Oh, we know. I'm sorry Mr. Weasley" –Harry said
"It's alright Harry. It's been a few years now."
"Harry's her favorite child"—Fred said at her mother's mood change when speaking to Harry.
"Ah the chore clock."—Bill said—"I hated that thing"
"Your house sounds lovely"—Andy said.
"Molly instead of accusing them of things, why don't you ask them why they had to rescue the boy."—Moody said and Molly glared at her.
"They were starving him, Mum!" said George.
Mrs. Weasley sobbed. –"Oh Harry I should've known I wasn't paying attention. I thought the twins were exaggerating"
"No, you thought they were lying because you don't take them seriously."—Sirius said with no ill intention. She glared at him, how dare he talk to her about parenting— she thought. Missing Bill's nod of agreement.
redheaded figure in a long nightdress, who appeared in the kitchen, gave a small squeal, and ran out again.
"Oh no…"—Ginny moaned—"I will hex anyone that laughs"
Harry looked at the cover of Mrs. Weasley's book. Written across it in fancy gold letters were the words Gilderoy Lockhart's Guide to Household Pests. There was a big a very good-looking wizard with wavy blond hair and bright blue eyes.
They all groaned bitterly.
"I had forgotten about this idiot."—Ron said
"Seriously Molly, Lockhart!"— Remus exclaimed loudly making Tonks jump next to him.
"Dammit Remus"—Tonks said her hair turning red.
"I'm missing something"—Sirius said to Remus.
"I can't believe you call him good-looking"—Neville said gaging.
"He was good-looking, a damn annoyance but I could see why women would fall for his lies" –Harry said smirking at Hermione who blushed.
It was small and leathery looking, with a large, knobby, bald head exactly like a potato. Ron held it at arm's length as it kicked out at him with its horny little feet;
"I always loved those little buggers. They are funny"—Sirius said. Remembering the fun he had de-gaming the garden around his uncle's home, until his mother found out and forbade him to touch the filthy little creatures.
"He's back!" said George. "Dad's home!"
Mr. Weasley smiled happily so that his children would get excited about him coming home.
"If Mundungus is a bad person why is he in the order?"—Hermione asked.
"He's our ears in the streets. He's sneaky"—Remus said.
"So we trust him?"—Amelia asked
"No"—all the members of the order said.
Sirius clarified—"He's a coward and knows very well he won't live long under Voldemort's rain, so he serves our cause, he's afraid of Mad-eye and Dumbledore with them here he won't try anything."
"Arthur Weasley, you made sure there was a loophole when you wrote that law!"
Everyone laughed even Amelia, though she quickly fixed her face—"Arthur you will modify that Law as soon as possible"
"You're the first one that doesn't stare at the scar"—Harry told Mr. Weasley
"Ginny," said Ron. "You don't know how weird it is for her to be this shy. She never shuts up normally —"
"Merlin thanks for making it more awkward Ron"—
Nearly everything in Ron's room seemed to be a violent shade of orange: the bedspread, the walls, even the ceiling
"A Cannon fan I suppose"—Ted smiled.
"They suck"—Sirius said earning a glare from Ron.
But Harry, grinning widely, said, "This is the best house I've ever been in."
"It's true"—Harry stated while all the Weasleys smiled.
