The teenagers separated giving Harry the opportunity to talk to Hermione and Ron. He pulled them into the study knowing it would be empty.

"Can we be here?"—Hermione asked looking around. The door had been close to this room and Sirius had asked them not to go inside.

"Yes, Sirius cleaned a little, don't open the book just in case"-

They sat down in a way that made them be facing each other- "What's going on mate?"

Harry sighed—"Sirius and Remus showed me the reason why Snape hates them. Well one of the reasons, I didn't take it well."

Hermione bit her lip— "Was it bad?"

"The Marauders were bullies and gits, Ginny made me realize that Snape wasn't/isn't a saint either but…"—Harry shrugged. —"Each will defend their side of the story and the one person I want answers from is not here"

Hermione leaned in to give him a hug— "Nobody is perfect Harry, and they were kids."

"They at least could be kids, I bet they didn't worry about Dark Lord resurrecting"—Ron pointed out.

Harry shook his head— "Apparently they didn't start to worry about that until 6th year."

They were quiet for a moment until Ron spoke again— "It's hard isn't it? Reading everything we have done and realizing how close we have been to dying."

Harry shrugged but Hermione sobbed making both boys panic and turn to her. – "It's just I've been thinking, Ginny, Luna and I have been talking, it's hard going to sleep especially after we finished the second book. Luna says everything happens for a reason and that we are here because it must be us, but I mean at first, I was like that's nonsense but now with what I just read about Trelawny…I sat with Neville and yet here I am, being best friends with you twats."

Harry laughed; Ron looked offended.

"What do you think we would read in the next books?"

"Harry!"—Hermione perked up—"They will read about your detention"

Harry paled, he hadn't focused on that, he turned to his hand and though it wasn't as open it was still raw, red, and swollen. –"They haven't noticed"

"But they will, and I have noticed you haven't let Sirius grab your hand."—

"Mate, maybe tell them"—

"It's not that simple"—Harry said—"I have so many things to talk about with them and it's awkward and uncomfortable"

Ron laughed—"That's how a family meeting goes. You should have seen ours."

Harry nodded—"I haven't asked but Ginny said it was bad."

"Bad! It was horrible. Bill and Charlie are the only one that can go toe to toe with mom. She's not taking any of this well and she's stubborn, She's angry at Dad for keeping information, she's angry at me for getting in danger, she's angry at Ginny for not obeying her Orders, she's sad about Percy she and the twins are not ok."

Hermione shared a look with Harry confirming Ron's words—"Ginny told us Percy was really mean."

Ron scoffed—"Mean he was brutal, Charlie almost hit him and the Ginny had to contain Fred. Charlie reprimanded Mom and Dad about my lack of new things, he…well"—Ron got all red and Hermione grabbed his hand—"Well he made me talk about my discomforts, Mom got offended saying they had done their best"

"Which is true"—Harry added and Ron agreed—"Yes but then Bill said something about them helping and Mom lash out, she told them if they hadn't gone so far away which made Bill get angry. Nobody got hurt but I don't feel like we accomplish anything."

"You did, you talked about it."

"I suppose. What about you and your parents?"

Hermione made a face— "I don't know, the Order doesn't have enough manpower to protect them and I've started to think of a way of keeping them safe"

"Have you told them anything?"—Harry asked.

"Of course, not, no parent wants to send their child to war, but I know that if I ask them to leave, they will but not without me and I'm not going anywhere."

Harry sighed, there were many things to do. He didn't want Hermione to go but he also knew what it felt like not to have parents and he didn't want that for her or for Ron. So many people could die, and it terrified him, he didn't know who could be the next one, Mr. Weasley had been close.

"What about you Harry, you tried to change the subject, but you need to tell them."

Harry shook his head— "We… it's awkward. Sirius blames himself for their deaths and though I know he cares for me I also know he wishes I was more like Dad, but I don't know who my dad was. Remus still looks at me with sadness like he wants to keep apologizing and I just want to throw a book at his head."

"Well tell them, Harry."—Hermione smiled—"Or tell someone else"

"Ted told me I could go to him. Apparently, Andy is talking to Sirius."

"What's stopping you?"

"I don't know him; I barely talk to guys."

"True"—Ron said— "But…hear me out, the Tonks seem like wicked people."

Harry made a face; he was tired of talking. Hermione patted his hand— "How about we make a list of things you would like to talk about with Sirius and Remus and then you could ask Ted for advice or not. Maybe it would clear your head."

Harry turned to look at her, there were many things they needed to talk about, many things they needed to be doing but he nodded. He really wanted his thought to stop being so jumbled.

Library

Remus and Sirius walked into Bill, Fleur, Charlie, and Tonks going through the books. Sirius laughed at Remus when he saw him glare at Charlie who was leaning into Tonks's shoulder. – "Jealous?"—he mocked earning an eye roll.

"What have you found?"—Remus said making Tonks jump, she stood up and handed him the book. — "Do you know how to do that spell?"-

Remus looked at the book— "It's a localizer charm, I know how to do the basic one but not this one."—

Sirius tried not to laugh at the change of scenario, now Tonks leaning into Remus. He turned to Bill— "So?"

"We have separated a few books that might help."—he signaled to three piles. –"Blood, soul and mind magic. Now we have to take some of the nasty charms a few of them have."

"What about that pile"—Remus signaled to the far corner.

"Ah, we believe those should be burned, not be read by anyone ever again"—Fleur said with disgust.

Sirius shook— "Ok, let's get the charms out."—he turned to Remus, but he and Tonks had walked to another table to write things down. Charlie walked up to him—"Should I be concerned I might get attacked by a werewolf?"

Sirius assessed him— "Said werewolf can hear you and no, not unless you're interested."

Charlie chuckled— "Nah, we used to be best mates. Still are"

"Good, 'cause I'm rooting for that to happen and ill rattled you if you ruin it."-

.

Dinner was a very tense situation. It was clear that Molly and Andromeda had some words, Snape looked annoyed and tense between Dumbledore and McGonagall. Ted tried to make small conversation with Remus about his travels, Tonks would have enjoyed the interaction if it weren't for Andromeda grimacing every now and then.

Eventually, Professor McGonagall stood up and took them back to the ballroom. She had them sit down on the floor.

Ginny and Hermione immediately closed their eyes and the boys looked ready to leave.

"Mr. Weasley, I know you said you don't wish to learn Occlumency, but I do wish you meditate, it would help with your magic."

Hermione raised her hand making Ginny snort, she gave her a glare. McGonagall— "Yes Miss Granger?"

"If it helps with your magic why don't more wizards do it? Why not teach it at Hogwarts"

"Wizards are encouraged to do it, the unspeakable, Aurors and Healers are advised to seek meditation as a form of calming but not everyone knows how to do that. As to why it has never been given in Hogwarts is because there is no one to teach it."

Harry nodded— "Maybe we can teach it in the D.A."

"Maybe"—McGonagall agreed. — "Now what I want you to do is to sit separately and try to get comfortable, remember that I want you to do this after waking up and before going to sleep. Tell me when you are ready…"

Harry sat down on a far corner, Indian style, he took a deep breath like he had seen in movies and let for McGonagall to continue.

"Now, try to relax your body. Take a few deep breaths, inhale, and exhale."

Harry did just that, he could feel the tension in his shoulder and a slight pain in the back of his neck. His body couldn't survive under this type of stress forever, could it?

"What we want to do is to spread your magic to all your body and calm your thoughts. Meditation doesn't mean to Blank your mind or empty it, it's impossible to do that immediately. What I want you to do is try to calm your thoughts, and make them stop being so loud. Don't fight them but don't stay inside them for long."

Harry rolled his neck; he exhaled, for some reason, his mind went to the first time he saw the Hogwarts express how he felt and how he felt now. He didn't like those thoughts and shook.

"Focus on your breathing, like I told you don't fight the thoughts just slowly control them."

Harry opened his eyes when he heard a curse, Hermione had slammed back into the floor.

"Miss Granger are you alright?"—McGonagall asked

"This is hard"

"Merlin Hermione"—Ginny laughed— "We haven't even been here five minutes."

Harry ignored her and went back to breathing. He started to get loose in his thoughts, and it took him to his mom's last words, he shuddered trying to ignore it, and tried to think about the time he flew with Buckbeak. He slowly started to feel loose, he could hear Professor McGonagall talking in whispers to someone, and he could hear Ron's deep breathing and Ginny shifting, he jumped when McGonagall touched his shoulder— "Fix your posture"—she whispered— "Think about your magic like a string that goes through your spine, if it's not straight it knots, and the magic gets stuck."

Harry nodded, he flexed his muscles and sit up straight, instead of focusing on his thoughts he concentrated on the sensation of warmth that was leaving his back and expanding towards his chest, he felt a little tingle in his hands, and he rejoiced in the feeling before going back to his thoughts and he started to feel the warmth disappear. He focused on his magic instead. He tried not to focus on the thousands of memories he was repressing from the past years and felt his chest tighten when he started remembering the graveyard.

"Mr. Potter, Harry breath"—Professor McGonagall said kneeling next to me. – "Focus on your breathing and my voice."

Harry started taking slow deep breaths and slowly opened his eyes. Hermione was watching him concerned.

"Alright, Mr. Potter?"

"I…yes"

She nodded and stood up, spoke to the room— "Very slowly start opening your eyes, taking deep breaths."—

Harry relaxed and brought his knees to his chest; he knew meditating wouldn't come easy to him. Ron looked like he had been close to falling asleep and Ginny seemed tense, they shared a look of sympathy.

"I would like for you to do it two times, but I know it's not easy. Concentrate on your magic if that helps but don't ignore your thoughts, I know there are some that are not easy to relive, but the reason for meditation is to learn how to store those thoughts."

Ginny frowned – "Storage?"

"Yes, part of the defense of Occlumency is how you create your walls."

Ron raised his brows— "So what Sirius said about the hallway is true?"

"Yes, the walls that defend your Occlumency can be anything you create, a library, a highway, a river, a hallway, a maze, your family home, bad memory, or barricades. Whatever you feel comfortable around."

"So"—Hermione paused— "I can create a Library and every book be a memory."

"Yes, the point is they take time finding what they're looking for and for you to feel them. Obviously, the books would have no title, no indication of what they are."

Harry let out a breath— "Sounds like a lot of work."

"It is, time and dedication it's all it requires, the magic part will come later."

McGonagall sent them to shower and rest. Harry felt drained, he walked out of the shower feeling restless, Ron wasn't in the room yet, so he took his time to meditate, he focused on his magic, his thoughts were loud and messier than in the library. He took a deep breath he concentrated on the first time he saw Grimmuald, how gloomy it looked, the thought took him to his fight with his friends and how he still needed to talk to them about that. He fell back onto the matress, the warmth hadn't disappeared, he started thinking about what could he do for his wall, maybe a quidditch pitch, or the common room. He started to feel sleepy, he heard the door open, he tried to look up, but he was exhausted.

Sirius knocked on his godson's door, but no one answered. He slowly walked and saw Harry on the bed, his hair still wet. It made him smile, only in his sleep, Harry looked like a normal 15-year-old. He heard him mumble something, he walked up to him and cover him with the blanket.

"Goodnight pup"—

He walked back to the study, he and Andromeda had postponed their night conversation because of the meeting they would be having, he heard Remus and Dora talking.

"When?"

"Not know, we have other things…"

"Everything is equally important."

"I don't think that's true…"
"Remus!"

"Look, Dora, I said we would talk about it but not now, I don't know what you see…"

Sirius walked in before Remus fucked it up.

"Harry is asleep"

Dora stood up and glared at Remus— "I see a lot of things Remus, and we will have this conversation soon."—she walked out of the room.

Remus sighed in defeat and glared at Sirius— "Thank you for that, couldn't walk in sooner?"

"No, I…don't take this the wrong way Moony but what the fuck happened to confident Remus, you know Jamie and I work hard on that personality."

Remus gave him the finger— "It's buried deep in me"

"Might want to let it come out."

"No, it wasn't an easy life Padfoot, loneliness, homelessness, hunger, pain, self-hatred. I don't think I've been more terrified of myself than in the last couple of years."

"You could tell her that"—Sirius said going for a drink and pausing he gave it to Remus who smiled in sympathy.

"She's to…"

Sirius nodded— "Pink, warm, playful…"

Remus smiled— "Yes, she…wants to see good, she is so young and naïve and that's good, hopefully, this war doesn't take that from her as it did to us and I certainly won't be the one that taints that."

"You want her Remus, and that won't go away. So maybe…I don't know don't waste the time you have…we might die this time."

Remus frowned; he looked up at Sirius—"Anything in your mind pads?"

"Many things, sobriety is fucking hard."

Remus agreed when Charlie walked in— "Meeting is starting."

….

They waited until everyone sat down, Dumbledore had sealed the kitchen door.

"Shouldn't we discuss this with the kids present?"—Fleur asked

Molly huffed—"Kids being the keyword"

Fleur sighed—"I don't understand your problem with me Mrs. Weasley but I can be rude too"—she said crossing her arms, earning a disbelieving look from Molly. Bill put a hand over Fleur's shoulder.

Sirius tried to contain his smile. –"I suppose the kids will be informed eventually?"

"Yes, but for now let them rest"—Minerva said—"They are exhausted."

"How did meditation go?"—Remus asked

"Yesterday, good. Luna and Neville did well, the Twins don't have much patience for it but they tried. Today I'm afraid wasn't that easy…. Hermione, I don't think her brain will ever quiet but she will try. Ron fell asleep and Harry and Ginny spent the hour tense…Harry started to have a panic attack so we might have to keep an eye on them."

"Their training?"—Dumbledore turned to Alastor.

"Good, Potter is good really good, but he needs proper training he doesn't know how to dual, none of them but they know how to protect themselves. Weasley Girl is fast, she takes it seriously but leaves her sides open, Weasley is also good but his spell is not strong enough, Granger her defense is weak but she's methodical, she will fight until she's out of strength, Lovegood pauses to think her spells, the twins work good together so I would like to see them separately, you won't always have your other best half with you and Longbottom has confidence but he needs a new wand."—Alastor looked at Augusta who narrowed his eyes—"I have no idea what you were thinking when you gave him Franks wand, they boy needs his own or his magic will always be half good."

Augusta didn't say anything but she could see the disproval of the Aurors in the room.

Alastor kept talking—"With proper training, they will be able to dual by summer but like I told Remus, they need to be told the truth."

"And what truth would that be?"—Andromeda asked

"That they will have to kill"

Molly gasped, and so did Augusta, and Minerva looked back at Alastor with resignation and anger.

"You can look at me like that all you want but its the truth, many in the first war did it, things will get bad soon, and mark my words it will be them or us and there aren't many of us to be going around loosing."—he pointed at Sirus—"The boy doesn't want to kill, I can see it in his eyes that it will be hard for him so don't delay the conversation Black, tell him"

Sirius nodded at Alastor, Remus had already warned him about that but he and Harry had barely been able to talk about anything, he didn't even know how to start the conversation.

"Well it would be best if we keep training them"—Dumbledore said—"Alastor well keep Harry. Nyhmpadora will take the girls and Kingsley the rest. We don't have space so they will take turns."

They agreed.

"Now"—Amelia started— "I think it's time we start planning what to do."

"We don't have any information"—Snape said talking for the first time.

"Doesn't mean we can't start planning ahead."

"The first thing we need to plan is how we are going to get rid of Fudge."

They all turned to Percy. –"What?"

"Well, you work with the man, anything?"

"This is treason"

"For heaven's sake Percy…"

"Percy this is more than that and you know it"

"Why was he even invited?"

"Enough!"—Arthur said—"Percy Son you can't be a fool you must realize that this is more than treason, that Fudge doesn't work correctly that we are all in danger. So please…cooperate"

Percy sighed as he turned to look at his mother and brothers. He swallowed maybe they were right maybe…-"I'm not one of his confidential, those are Umbridge, Albert Runcorn, and Thomas Fawxley."

"Thomas works for the goblin liaison, and Runcorn isn't even a high-ranking member"

"But he is friends with Umbridge"—Percy shrugged.—"I've seen him visiting her office"

Amelia nodded—"Runcorn is the weak lane there."

"Who will take Fudge's place?"

"Me"—Amelia said—"I am the second highest member of the ministry, I would be temporary before the Wizengamot votes"

"Which is also corrupted."

"Harry gave Fudge names… Lucius, Nott, Avery…all have a seat they will need to be outed."—Sirius said

"We need the press for that."

"The prophet isn't ours."

"There are others."—Ted said

Tonks spoke— "But what do we do with the press? We need to secure our source, or they will hunt them down."

"We need more safe houses"—Remus agreed.

"Longbottom manner is open for anyone"—Augusta said

"So is the burrow"

"Ours too, though it isn't big"—Andromeda said.

"Thank you"—Dumbledore smiled at them.

"But we need safe houses nobody knows about."—Kingsley added.

Arthur sighed, he didn't want to bring her into this but there weren't many options anymore— "Aunt Muriel has a big house and I believe Bilius had a cottage in the sea, we could talk to her."

Everyone turned to look at each other.

"Nobody said it was easy, and we haven't started with Hogwarts."
