Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Spartan and the Legionary. Enjoy the 1600-word chapter. I don't own RWBY or Halo. Monty Oum, Microsoft, 343, and Rooster Teeth do.

"I see you've met the beasts' Remnant is at war with," Ozpin said as he turned to the side. "Alongside the White Fang," Ozpin said as he looked at Leo, Pyrrha, Jaune, and Ruby.

"Leo certainly holds up to the Supersoldier mantle." Pyrrha put in as she looked to Leo.

"Your warriors in your own right," Leo said and turned to Ozpin. "If it's alright with you? I think I'm done for today. The majority of the UNSC and Atlas will be arriving tomorrow. I doubt people are going to want to see a 7ft Supersoldier walking the streets of Vale currently." Leo said, getting a nod in return.

"I'll have Ms. Goodwitch show you to a fresh room after curfew, Mr. Cerule." Ozpin put in as Ruby and Jaune turned to each other. "Ms. Rose? Mr. Arc? I would attend to your teams. The Vytal festival will be upon us within a few months, it wouldn't hurt to prepare for it." Ozpin said and got nods from Jaune and Ruby who left.

Leo turned to leave before Pyrrha stepped into his path. The Spartan inclined his head to look at the girl.

"Leo?" Pyrrha asked which got a hum. "I have some questions I'd like to ask you," Pyrrha added as Leo nodded.

"Do any of them have to do with what I said before?" Leo asked and got a nod. "Fine by me, I need something to get my head off the monsters and gunfights," Leo said and followed Pyrrha into the elevator.

Ozpin raised an eyebrow. Both Pyrrha and Leo had potential, but to tell them this? The burden couldn't be entrusted to them, not yet.

(With Leo and Pyrrha)

Leo stopped to relax on a boulder while he started to examine his SAW and check his armor.

"So, you have questions?" Leo asked while he pulled one of the drums off his gun to check it. "Fire away, I'll answer what I can… But some of it is classified, I am a soldier after all." Leo stated and brushed off his shoulder pauldron.

"You mentioned Spartans were inspired by warriors like me." Pyrrha put in as Leo nodded.

"Spartans from the battle of Thermopylae, yes," Leo said and put the fresh drum into the weapon. "They wore armor as you do," Leo said which got a hum from Pyrrha.

"And they were elite?" Pyrrha questioned and sat down next to Leo.

"300 held a pass against 100,000." Leo put in and turned to Pyrrha. "Led by King Leonidas… People like to joke about me being him due to the name. They fought like animals and held the pass for 2 days, starting to see why the name is based on them?" Leo asked and got a nod.

"And the 300?" Pyrrha asked to which Leo hummed.

"Died holding the line. Spartans were warriors, they didn't retreat… There were more than 300 soldiers there, but everyone focuses on the Spartans. There were 4 generations and currently? I'm part of gen 4." Leo said and shook his head.

"I see," Pyrrha said and looked down at her weapon. "So, they all…." Pyrrha started to say before Leo spoke up.

"Their sacrifice gave the others time to regroup and break the enemy attack," Leo said and looked up at the sky. "Just like how dozens of Spartans gave their lives to buy the UNSC time. People seem to forget how many people had to die so they could scream about the war." Leo muttered and gazed up at the broken moon of the planet.

"You talked about the Covenant." Pyrrha sand and folded her legs under her.

"Alien monsters, I don't know the details about when we met them… But the war? I doubt Remnant went through something as we did." Leo said and sighed, bringing a hand to his helmeted temples.

"We had a great war which lasted for 100 years," Pyrrha said which caused Leo to turn to her. "My great aunt fought in it…. Countless people died." Pyrrha added while Leo nodded.

"Well, at least it ended." Leo said, venom painting the word 'ENDED'. "28 years and dozens of planets burned, billions of people dead. We're supposed to have a peace treaty but plenty of people still want to kill each other…" Leo said as Pyrrha blinked.

Leo clenched his fist, his entire frame shaking as Pyrrha went to put a hand on his shoulder.

Leo suddenly slammed a fist into the rock, splintering it as he took a deep breath.

"28 years of slaughter and I fought for 15 years of that…" Leo muttered before turning to the shocked Pyrrha. "Sorry… I'm just tired…" Leo said and stood up, taking his gun from beside him.

Leo went to leave when Pyrrha stood up, causing the spartan to pause as she grabbed at his arm.

"How about we walk?" Pyrrha asked as Leo hummed. "I didn't mean to touch a nerve…. Plus, you'd need a guide around Beacon, correct?" Pyrrha asked as Leo placed his SAW upon his back.

"Yes… That would help." Leo said and turned back to her. "But didn't your professor say that Beacon has a curfew?" Leo questioned, planting his armored hands on his hips.

"Yes," Pyrrha said before a smile started to stretch across her lips. "However? That will not be for another few hours." Pyrrha said while Leo hummed.

"Lead the way, Py," Leo said which got a raised eyebrow from the girl. "Would you like me to call you Pyrrha Nikos every time I need you?" Leo questioned which was greeted by a shrug.

(With Ozpin and Glynda)

"You're sure that you allow this?" Glynda questioned as Ozpin turned to look around with interest.

"I do, Ms. Goodwitch," Ozpin said and tapped his cane. "I did not ask for more soldiers… This war is already vexing enough trying to keep it under wraps. If they can assist us in this battle with… 'Her'?" Ozpin asked, letting the question hang over Glynda as she nodded and looked to the side.

"Fair enough…" Glynda said and turned to watch Leo and Pyrrha depart. "I suppose you will be inviting him and this 'Captain Lasky' to join? Vale is going through some disarray, but it will be quite interesting trying to explain a 7FT Supersoldier on academy grounds…. And you know Ms. Nikos probably will not be retiring for curfew." Glynda added some with disdain evident in her voice.

"Give them a bit of mercy, Glynda," Ozpin said and rose to his feet. "Ms. Nikos behaves far within the limits Beacon has established. Surely you can allow them some measure of leniency?" Ozpin questioned Glynda.

"Just for today," Glynda said and turned to the window. "And either I or someone of veterancy shall accompany Mr. Cerule…. At all times unless said otherwise by you." Glynda said, adjusting her glasses as she turned to look back at Ozpin.

"Ms. Nikos is also a 4-year champion of Mistral, Ms. Goodwitch," Ozpin said and chuckled to himself. "I sense those 2 will have quite a strong bond before the year is over anytime soon," Ozpin said which caused Glynda to frown.

"I suppose James and the others will arrive tomorrow?" Glynda questioned and got a smile from Ozpin.

"Tonight, if I heard correctly," Ozpin said and turned to the window. "Please do ask James if he or one of his subordinates can gift Mr. Cerule a scroll. If he is part of things? We should share some of our gifts with our allies." Ozpin said before he closed his eyes to reflect on things at the moment.

(With Pyrrha and Leo)

"This is the grand hall," Pyrrha said and gestured to the open area as Leo hummed. "It's where the majority of Beacon gathers during the days…" Pyrrha said as Leo chuckled.

"Night school too expensive?" Leo chuckled and got a playful elbow to the wrist. " Kidding… Answer me something?" Leo asked as Pyrrha turned to look at him.

"From what I've heard? You're a big deal." Leo said as Pyrrha frowned. "But I don't think that's why you're here. I'm not much of what you'd call a 'people person, but I got somewhat of a read on you and the others in the forest." Leo said while Pyrrha raised an eyebrow.

"A read?" Pyrrha asked and watched Leo turn to her with interest.

"You're not here because you're some big shot who wants to be the star of the show… You're like me." Leo said, planting his hands on his hips. "You're pushing yourself to be this hero… Not a legend, a warrior. Let me tell you something? If you are worried about people seeing the real you? Then let them see it at all times, people judge based on what they see, not what you tell them alone." Leo said before taking a moment to think.

Pyrrha blinked in confusion before slowly smiling as she pondered Leo's words.

"I'll take that to mind, Leo," Pyrrha said while turning to the hall.
