Pyrrha looked at the file and what it read.
Leonardo Hervi Cerule. Born July 20th, 2539, Harvest. She blinked as Kurt looked at Ozpin.
"It says Spartan III, not IV like Leo said." Ironwood put in as Kurt crossed his arms.
"Leo started in project CHRYSANTHEMUM…." Kurt said while clenching his fist. "When he was 4," Kurt said and shook his head. Everyone besides Halsey, Ozpin and the marines gasped.
"He was a soldier as a child?" Pyrrha questioned to which Kurt hummed.
"How old are you, currently?" Kurt questioned as Pyrrha blinked and looked at the wall.
"18." Pyrrha put in as Kurt nodded, narrowing his eyes.
"Leo is 19. He's been at war since I trained him…" Kurt said, bringing a hand to his temples. "Boy has been through more war than anyone his age should have gone through," Kurt said as Halsey hummed.
"I didn't think any member of the Spartan 3s survived." Halsey put in as Kurt shook his head.
"You know why they picked me, ma'am," Kurt said and turned to Ozpin and Ironwood. "Leo is one of the youngest soldiers in the UNSC, just like every Spartan-III, IIs were… Classified, but Spartan IIIs were shock troopers, an expendable shield for the UNSC." Kurt put in as Pyrrha put a hand up to her mouth.
"How…" Pyrrha said as Halsey spoke up.
She looked at the spartan girl. Halsey didn't know much about the IIIs, they were classified… But unlike ONI? Halsey didn't give a damn what was classified.
"The IIs were around that age when they were chosen…. I assume Leo didn't adept through conditioning?" Halsey questioned.
"Leo was part of Gamma Company, and I'm sure you know what ONI told you about them," Kurt said before turning to Ironwood and Ozpin. "Leo has been fighting since the second he was greenlit for combat. Gama company was butchered at Onyx. Leo was one of the few to have survived that." Kurt stated as Ozpin hummed.
"So, he is about the age of an academy student in their Third Year?" Ozpin questioned and got a hum. "It seems he and Ms. Nikos have more in common than it seems," Ozpin said as Ironwood spoke up.
"Why would the UNSC need children to fight?" Ironwood asked to which Halsey spoke up.
"Because at the time, the war was desperate enough to where ANY solution was preferable." Halsey put in and turned to Kurt. "If Leo was a III, why did he get selected to become an IV? The IIIs were already augmented last I read." Halsey added to which Kurt hummed.
"Because Leo wished to keep fighting after Harvest was burned." Kurt put in as he walked forward. "I requested Leo be discharged following a PSYCH eval. Others disagreed and I was outranked. Leo has fought in the war from 2540 to now. Last I heard? Jun approached him with the offer." Kurt said as Pyrrha hummed.
"Leo has been a soldier since he was a child?" Pyrrha questioned to which Kurt nodded. "Then why he was so angry…" Pyrrha started to say as Kurt hummed.
"IIIs hated the Covenant since they were orphans, Leo lost his family in Harvest's destruction." Kurt put in to which Pyrrha hummed. "Leo is very sociable, but he's never let go of that hate for the Covenant. They took his family away, he made new ones among Gamma…. Then they took that away." Kurt said to which Ozpin hummed and looked at Pyrrha.
"You may go to your team, Ms. Nikos," Ozpin stated as Pyrrha nodded. "I believe that Mr. Cerule and you have plenty to discuss soon," Ozpin said as Pyrrha nodded and departed from the room.
"So, you called us here to discuss something?" Lasky said while Ozpin shook his head.
"Indeed, I've heard Atlas has allied with this 'UNSC', was it?" Ozpin questioned as Lasky nodded. "James, would you like to start explaining our position at the moment?" Ozpin asked as Ironwood nodded.
"Winter, can you give Leo a scroll before he leaves?" Ironwood questioned as he hummed.
"Of course, sir," Winter said and turned to leave out the elevator a moment later.
"I'd like to hear more about what you discussed, Mr. Ambrose," Ozpin said as he folded his hands under him once more.

Pyrrha questioned how to ask about this. At the very least? He now knew enough to put this behavior into context at the moment.
Pyrrha hummed and looked to the side at the moment. Leo probably wouldn't say much of anything at the time.
But she wanted to know more, danger or not? She had to know.
And she was going to get answers at the time. There was time for a moment.
Pyrrha didn't notice Winter following after her, set on her mission at the moment.

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to apologize for this chapter being short, but since the next chapter is a combat chapter and such? It will be much longer. The next chapter will be in 2-12 weeks and show JNPR encountering the Covenant and fighting them, until then, Lighting Wolf out!
