To Soup100 thanks for leaving for a review and liking my story. Hope I will be able to keep you liking it in the future and don't worry Rean and Alisa won't be able to escape that their embarrassment will be funny to their friends.
June the 6 of the Spetian Year 1204
Near the dormitory of Class VII, Emma, Jusis, Elliot and Machias were watching how their classmates Rean and Alisa dealt with the unexpected appearance of what appeared to be their families, though Alisa was the one that was far more flustered when compared to Rean who after a few moments managed to calm himself down, "S-Sharon?! What are you doing here?!" Bowing slightly Sharon gave her a small smile, "It is so delightful to see you again, My Lady. And you as well, Master Rean." Bowing out reflex to the maid Rean turned his attention to his mother, who seemed far too amused at this, "Likewise, Sharon. Not that I am not happy to see you, Mom, though an heads up would have been nice. What brings you here to Trista?"
Steeping forward to her son, Lucia took a long look at him to see if was alright at least physically, he may have been at an academy so logically speaking he shouldn't have been in any danger, but she also knew that he had a knack for finding trouble and danger in the most unlikely places, "Can't a mother come visit her son? Or are not happy to see me?" Rolling his eyes at that answer though he knew that's he was just teasing him, he just let his actions speak for him by giving her a short hug and answering her questions, "I am always happy to see you, Mom."
Meanwhile Alisa seemed to have recovered from her astonishment and began to connect the dots to what Sharon's presence here could mean, "She didn't…Mother didn't…Please tell me that she didn't …" The smile on the maid's face changed into grin that bordered on a smirk when she saw how flustered her charge was acting, "Heehee, but of course. Lady Irina herself sent me here so that I can assume starting today the position of caretaker for Class VII dormitory." Hearing that answer made Alisa lower her head in despair when she heard the confirmation of her worst fears, ignoring the fact that Sharon started moving towards her classmates who were watching this with rapt interest, "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance everyone. My name is Sharon Kreuger, a servant in the employ of the Reinford household, Lady Alisa's family." Gripping her long skirt with both of her hands Sharon greeted them with a bow, "I will do all I can to be of service to you, so please, keep me informed of anything that you might require."
For a few moments no one said anything though Jusis had a slight grin on his face when his theory regarding Alisa family got confirmed, it was the other three who were more shocked, "Reinford?! As in the Reinford company in Roer?!" Pinching her nose Alisa released a tired sigh as she faced the others while glaring at her maid, "Yes, that Reinford, my name is Alisa Reinford. Sorry for keeping it a secret everyone, I just wanted to make it on my own without people labelling me for my name." To their credit they recovered pretty fast from their surprise and assured the archer that it was alright with Emma taking the lead, "There is no need for you to apologise, Alisa. We understand that and let me assure as Class President that I don't think that it will change how everyone in our class treats you."
"Emma is right, just because your last name is Reinford doesn't mean that we will treat you differently from now on, besides at the very least you aren't as arrogant as Mister Noble Snob over here, so you are good in my book." Rolling his eyes at Machias poor attempt to lighten the mood of the archer, Jusis at least tried to play along, "I think you are confounding me with you Mister I only drink high-class and overpriced disgusting coffee." Ignoring the offended look on the gunner's face, Jusis looked at the archer "If there is one thing that I learned in this class is that background doesn't matter here, so hold your head up high since you didn't do anything wrong."
Watching how his classmates tried to assure Alisa brought a soft smile to Reans face which didn't go unnoticed by his mother who had now a teasing light in her eyes, sensing something wrong he glanced at her just to find out that she was looking like that at him, though he couldn't figure out why that was the case so he just shrugged it off for the moment to watch how Alisa was relieved that the others were treating her just like before. Done with that, the others turned around to look at Lucia who decided that now was a good time to introduce herself, "Good day to you students of Class VII, my name is Lucia Schwarzer, wife of the Baron of Ymir and Reans mother, it is a pleasure to finally meet you all after hearing my son talk so much about you in his letters and Alisa it is nice to see you again after so long, you have grown into a beautiful young lady. I heard that I have you to thank for trying to keep an eye on Rean here, knowing him he is most certainly overworking himself with helping the people around here and his training."
That brought some grins and snickering form his classmates who introduced themselves after his mother was done, "There is no need to thank me Miss Schwar…" Seeing the raised eyebrow of the older woman Alisa switched her from of addressing her, "Lucia, Rean and I are friends, though he would make my life a lot easier if he wasn't willing to be such a gopher around here." Ignoring the mentioned boy who was muttering something that sounded like "Helper." to himself, the archer went on, "Besides, I am sure that you already know that it is clearly impossible to get him to stop doing that and acting reckless, apparently he can't seem to stop and think before he leaps headfirst into danger."
Narrowing her eyes at that Lucia turned around to face her son, "Oh? I don't remember you mentioning anything in your letters about you being in danger here, young man. Care to explain?" Seeing that look reminded Rean why he didn't want to mention the more dangerous details of his field studies, though before he could come up with an explanation Sharon clapped her hands together to draw everyone attention to her, "How about I prepare some afternoon tea and snacks while Master Rean explains himself? I think that would far more comfortable than standing here." No one objected to that proposition and so they went all inside besides Rean and Alisa who was grinning at the black-haired swordsman while he just sighed as he imagined what was probably going to happen now, "Thanks a lot, Alisa."
Ignoring that Alisa just pushed him from the back to make him move forward, "Come on, your mother knows you far better than I do, so of course she would have found out what you have been up to sooner or later, Mister. Besides this is here is your just dessert from all your reckless stunts that you have pulled in the last three months." Not looking forward to what he was sure was going to be an hour long lecture, Rean suddenly thought of something else that made him smirk at the archer which in turn made Alisa give him an look filled with suspicion, "Alright then, I guess it is time for me to face the music then but at least there is something to look forward to in the coming days and I think I will enjoy it immensely."
Alisa stopped moving and crossed her arms to look at the smirk that he was shooting at her, "Ohh, nice to see that you won't try to get out of this but what exactly are you looking forward to that makes you grin like that?" Suddenly Alisa shivered when she saw how his smirk was getting bigger but stopped moving altogether when he leaned forward and brought his face close to hers, "Because while I haven't spent much time around Sharon, I do know that she likes teasing you, so…" He didn't need to finish his sentence since this made the archer remember that her maid had said that she was going to be the caretaker of their dorm from now on, already images of what Sharon could say or do appear on her mind and causing her to turn pale.
Seeing this made his grin disappear rather quickly before he put his hand on her shoulder to try to calm her down, "Easy there, Alisa. I was just joking around; I am sure that Sharon won't tease you too much with the others around." Sighing out lout the archer just shook her head, "You don't know her that well, Rean because she won't even hesitate to tease me no matter if the others are there or not. What am I going to do? I came here because I wanted to get away from the Reinford name and to be recognised for my own work and achievements but with Sharon here will I be even able to do that?...I am going to talk to her right now that this isn't ok and besides Mother has no right to meddle like this in my life, I will….."
The archers rant stopped there when Rean put his other hand on her shoulders and made her look at him, "First of all, take some deep breaths and try to calm down, Alisa." Following his advice Alisa did just that, "Second, try to think this through before making any rash decisions, I won't claim to understand why you are trying to be completely independent from your family, but I rather doubt that your mother sent Sharon here to torment you, so try to talk with her about this and perhaps the two of you can come to an understanding?"
Taking a moment to think things through, Alisa realised that he was perhaps right, (f I just storm inside and start yelling at Sharon it won't change anything, this will just prove to her that haven't matured at all since I left Roer. So, this is what I am going to do, I will calmly talk with her and try to explain to her why her being the caretaker here is a bad idea, yes that is what I am going to do. This way she will see that I am fine on my own and that I have grown in the last three months.)
Letting his hands fall from her shoulders Rean took a look at Alisa to see that she had calmed down enough and was going to think this through, but before he could say anything he noticed that the others were looking at them from inside the dormitory just time to hear his mother ask a question to his classmates, "Are these two always like this?" which promptly made his friends grin at her as an answer to that question, though Machias took it a step further than the others when he explained it in a smug voice, "Yes, these two are like that most of the time, it doesn't matter if there alone or with us from time to time they enter their own little world and ignore everything else around them, got to admit it is fun to see when Fie teases them about this."
Now it was Lucia and Sharon turn to have grins on their faces when they heard this but before they could ask any further questions they were interrupted by Alisa glaring at the gunner in a manner that suggested he better shut up before he got hurt, upon seeing that glare he wisely kept his mouth shut and avoided looking at her, to prevent anyone from saying anything else the archer took Reans arm and dragged him inside so that he could explain everything to his mother, "Come on Rean, you have a lot to explain and don't worry me and the others will help you in case you 'forgot' any details." Resigning himself to his fate, he let her just pull him inside under the amused eyes of the others, though he couldn't suppress a slight smile at her actions, (Well at least she isn't upset anymore though I don't know how long that will last.)
Sometime later the member of class VII were enjoying the tea and snacks Sharon and Lucia had prepared for them while listening to Rean telling his mother everything that he had left out in his letters, when he was done she just released an sigh, "Well, I have to admit I was expecting something far worse but then again perhaps I am already so used to your recklessness that things like facing off against the provincial army don't seem that bad?" That prompted some surprised gaps from the other students, with Elliot taking the lead on this one, "What?! Not that bad?! With all due respect Miss Lucia how come that preparing to fight against actual trained soldier with guns I might add, just gets a 'not that bad' from you?"
Smiling at the stunned students Lucia just gave her son a stern look before explaining it to them, "Given everything that Rean has done while traveling with his master when he was younger this here doesn't seem that bad to me, of course he shouldn't have done it or even thought about it in the first place but if this is the worst that can happen while he is here at Thors then I can just thank Aidios for this." This left the others even more flabbergasted before slowly looking at the black-haired swordsman who was avoiding their eyes, especially the ones from a certain blonde archer while drinking his tea, realising that this perhaps was a good opportunity to know more of his friend escapades back in the East, Jusis took it to ask what was on everyone mind, "Lady Schwarzer, perhaps you can tell us a bit more of what Rean has done in the East? All of us have heard him say that compared to his actions back there, he isn't really being that reckless but everyone here, me included, thought that it was just him trying to downplay the danger he had been in but now hearing you say that, could it truly be the truth?"
"So, Rean here hasn't told you anything about what he did back then?"
"He told us about some of the sights, foods and towns he had seen but nothing really about anything dangerous or reckless." Thinking for a moment if she should divulge some stories about her son reckless behaviour, Lucia decided against it for the moment since she didn't have enough time to list them all and be back to meet her husband in the capital before leaving for Ymir, "Believe me when I say this, that after Master Ka-Fai told us everything Rean had done, I was half expecting my hair to turn completely grey just from hearing about it, though there was one story just one where I nearly fainted from shock and that one was the most reckless, irresponsible and dangerous thing he has ever done, which got him grounded for a full year!"
Hearing the anger and most importantly the worry in her voice made the others try to imagine what Rean could have done to gest such a reaction from his mother, though not even in their wildest imagination could they have imagined that whatever they could come up with was far, far away from the actual danger their classmate had been in and what exactly he had done, putting his teacup down Rean looked at his mother with guilt in his eyes, "Mom, I really am sorry for having worried you and Dad this much, but….." Before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Lucia, "You are sorry for having worried me and your father that much we know but we also know that you don't regret your actions the slightest and given the chance I am sure that you would do it again because Rean you aren't capable of just ignore people in need. We are proud of you for that character trait of yours believe me we are, we just don't want you to put yourself in so much danger, especially for people who don't appreciate what you have done for them."
Taking a moment to gather her wits about herself since just the mere memory of what had happened afterwards to her son was enough to make the gentle woman see red, "You know that I prefer resolving things peacefully but just remembering how you were treated afterwards from the very people that you saved makes me want to go there and break their bones!"
It was a very rare occasion to see the ever-gentle Lucia Schwarzer so angry, but these people actions towards her child were just that revolting to her, reaching over Rean grasped his mother's hand and squeezed it to get her attention, "What happened back there happened, Mom. The people back there were just scared and while it doesn't forgive their actions" he added hastily when he saw his mother glare at him, "I don't really care that much about it, I like helping people because it is the right thing to do and not because I want to be praised or rewarded for it."
Pride at her son character softened her glare and pushed away those unpleasant memories just for her to noticed that the other students and Sharon were now curiously looking at them no doubt wondering what exactly happened but she didn't want to say anything more on the subject since this was Reans story to tell though Alisa seemed more worried about Rean than curious which brought something else to mind that surely would distract the others while giving her an opportunity to tease her son though she couldn't tell them too much since she had promised Theo that he would be there when she finally let the bomb drop on what other things Master Ka-Fai had told them without Rean knowing.
"Anyway, let's change the subject to something else, I know that you are taking your studies seriously, so I won't ask about that. What will I ask however is if you have managed to get yourself a girlfriend here at the academy?" No one had expected that question to come up given what they just heard but knowing that his mother was just trying to change the subject though he wished she had used another topic than this one, Rean just rolled his eyes at her, "Mom, I am here to learn an train, not to get a girlfriend."
Giving him a teasing smile, Lucia replied to him before she turned her attention to his classmates, "I know that, but I also know that you are extremely dense when it comes to these matters, so I think I will just ask your classmates about this. So does my dense son spend a lot of time with any particular girl or girls here at school?" Alisa just blushed when she saw the others give her a teasing look before Emma took it upon herself to respond, "Well, like Alisa said before Rean spends a lot of his time helping people around town and at school so he comes in contact with a lot of people girls and boys alike though there is just one particular girl that he spends a lot of time with him inside and outside of school." The class president may not have said any names but everyone in the room knew who she was referring too, and it didn't help that Sharon was practically grinning with glee when she saw her lady blush at the implication.
Groaning internally Rean tried to quickly think of a away to change the subject before Alisa got too uncomfortable with this, (It is already bad enough that Fie has apparently started teasing her about how much time we spent together and I know that Mom has no bad intentions with this but I also know that Alisa doesn't think of me like that and this will just make it more awkward later on. If I try to change the subject to something else, it will just backfire on me but if I can use this to avert their attention to someone else, they should leave her alone, perhaps I can draw their attention to…)
With an idea forming in his head, Rean went ahead before anyone could say anything else, "Alright then since I am apparently 'too dense' to understand these matters how about you guys explain it to me? Just because a boy spends his time together with a girl be it with training or studying does that mean, he is romantically interested in her, Machias?"
This caught the green haired boy off guard since neither he or anyone else had would never have expected that question from the swordsman though Machias still answered him truthfully, "I am not an expert in these things, but I think that most of the times it just indicates that they are good friends or classmates there doesn't have to be any romantic feelings involved, though it also doesn't mean that there aren't." This here was a good example on how far Rean and Machias friendship had come since their field study, he knew that Machias was just joking around given the grin that he was wearing and so were the others, they didn't mean any harm they were just teasing them, but Rean was also getting a bit tired that it always involved him and Alisa, so he thought that a bit of payback was in order.
"I see, so what about this one? Let's say for example that a girl asks a boy to help her out with her work or duties does that mean that she is romantically interested in that boy, Emma?" Neither the adults nor the musician nor the glasses pair knew where he was going with this but Jusis and Alisa started to get an inkling about what he was trying to do and to whom, so they kept quiet and just watched the show, confused on what was going and why Rean directed that particular question at her, Emma did try her best to answer it, "Well, like Machias I am not an expert but I think that my answer would be the same it may mean that feelings are involved but it could also mean the opposite."
Crossing his arms Rean made a show on how he was absorbing this 'new' information before he directed an innocent look in the direction of a certain pair, "That means, and this here is just a random example that I just thought of, if the boy and girl were a Class president and Vice president just doing their jobs or just helping each other out could it also mean that they are interested in each other?"
Finally understanding where he was going with this Machias and Emma blushed both when they realised that Rean had been talking about them and in hindsight the pair did spend a fair amount of time together thanks to their presidential duties and cleaning up after Instructor Sara, not unlike Rean and Alisa, trying to push his blush down Machias glared at Jusis who seemed far too amused at this before sending an apologetic look to Rean and Alisa, "Sorry, I didn't mean any harm with the teasing…. "
Waving his apology away, Rean cut in before he could finish that sentence, "There is no need for you or Emma to apologise, me and Alisa know that it was just for fun, no harm done, just showing you that turnaround is also fair play, ok?" Both were nodding in agreement with him, so he looked at his mother seemed far too amused at this, but he let it slide for now, "Mom, is there any special reason why you and Dad are visiting the capital or are the two of you just visiting me and Elise?"
"Your Dad got a letter from an old acquaintance if he could help him with organising a falconry competition, so we took this opportunity to come to the capital to visit our children. We saw Elise this morning and we were going to visit you together this afternoon but unfortunately your father couldn't make it because he got held up by his acquaintance, so it was just me and Sharon that could come here."
Giving her maid a look, Alisa drank the last bit of her tea, "Seems like a crazy coincidence, that Miss Lucia would run into you like this, Sharon. On the same day that she was visiting that you would also show up." Everyone could hear the suspicion in her voice, but Sharon just smiled at her, "It wasn't a coincidence, Lady Alisa. We both planned this, as soon Lady Lucia told me that she was visiting Master Rean here at Thors, I arranged things with the Chairman to start my work here a bit earlier because the original plan was for me to start next week but it was a too good of an opportunity to pass by to surprise both you and Master Rean at the same time."
"I knew it! Wait, what do you mean when she told you? Did the two of you meet in Roer again?" Taking the now empty cup from the table the maid to refill it with more tea while continuing smiling at her charge though her tone had now a more teasing undertone to it, "No, my lady. Lady Lucia and I have been exchanging letters between each other since the last time we meet in Roer, I think you can call us pen pals." This explanation drew the reaction the mischievous maid was hoping for, both Rean and Alisa were so surprised at that, that their jaws hit the ground, "Why is this the first time I am hearing about this Sharon?! When did you even have time to exchange contact information back then?"
Hearing Alisa question made Rean remember when they would have had time for that, "I take it, this happened when both me and Alisa were taken away by the provincial army for questioning?"
"Very perceptive of you, Master Rean! Yes, while the both of you were away Lady Lucia and I got talking with each and found out that we have some similar interests, so we decided to exchange contact info and from then on, we write to each other at least once a month."
"I see. I take this how you knew that Alisa was in my class even though I hadn't mention her in my letters at all?" The grin on his mother's face was enough as an answer for that question, but before he could speak again Jusis raised his hand to draw his attention, "I am sorry for interrupting, but I think the others and I are too curious after hearing something like this. You and Alisa got into trouble with provincial army from Roer before even coming to Thors? What is it with you two and the provincial army?"
"Hey, it is not our fault that they can't tell the difference between who is right and who is wrong." Following that spirited response from Alisa, she went on to explain what exactly had happened back there and why she and Rean were brought in for questioning, making the four others exchanged amused looks before Eliot gave them a teasing smile, "Looks like the two of you can't stay away from the trouble with the army, huh?" Followed by Jusis remark, "Honestly, does this mean that every time we go into a new town that we will have to deal with this problem?"
Standing up quickly the archer gave the grinning quartet a glare, "Hey, how is any of this my fault?! If anyone is at fault it is the army not us, if they would just leave us alone or I don't know stop throwing innocent people into jail perhaps we could stay out of each other's way." What followed was a spirited debate between the five of them while Rean wisely stayed out of it, though he found it amusing the way it was unfolding and he wasn't the only given the way both Sharon and his mom were watching the exchange.
After they were done with that the topics returned back to normal, with Lucia asking her son what classes he found interesting and how school life was treating him in general so on, as if Class VII had decided beforehand not one mention anything about the old schoolhouse and what they had seen there, because for one the principal had asked them to keep quiet about it and second there was no need to get her more worried about her son than she already was given his usual habit of getting into serious trouble form time to time.
Though once again another amusing scene happened when Lucia asked a certain question, "By the way Rean, what are you going to do about your swimming classes?" Not understanding for a moment what she was asking, Rean couldn't help but ask in return, "What swimming classes are you talking about? We don't have those here at the academy."
"You don't? But didn't you tell me that there was swimming pool here?"
"That one is for the swimming club and not for classes." Before Lucia could say anything, else Emma jumped into the conversation, "Actually Rean, we will have those starting next month with Instructor Sara as a teacher, which reminds me that I should talk with the girls to get their sizes to order their swimsuits for that class, though it will just me, Alisa and Fie that will need one since Laura has already gotten hers. Machias, could you ask the boys for their sizes so that we just have to make one big order together?"
"Sure, since tomorrow is a free day, I will take care of this tonight and leave them on Instructor Saras desk for her to order." Lucia was now looking at her son again with a teasing look in her eyes, "Seems like you will have swimming classes after all, so to ask again what will you do for those?" Rean still couldn't understand why his mother was asking that question, "I am sorry, Mom but I don't understand why you are asking me that, I will just go to class like normal."
"Really, just like that? You do remember that will be wearing just your swimming trunks and nothing else, right?" Still not understanding what his mother was getting at, he was going to ask her to clarify it but when he saw that she looking at his torso, Rean suddenly understood what she exactly was asking about, "Oh…Ohh.. Crap! That could be a problem." Fondly rolling her eyes when her son finally got it, though she also seemed amused when she saw how he got a bit pale as he sneaked a glance in the direction of a certain archer, no doubt imagining what her reaction would be when she would see what was on his chest, "Well, young man you reap what you sow. By the way, Alisa could you be a dear and tell me if Rean over here decides to skip out on those lessons, because if he does, I will come back here and deal with him myself."
Now even Sharon was getting curious about what was going on, not mention the other students, "I don't mind but why exactly would he skip those classes? Don't tell me that you can't swim Rean?" Nervously rubbing a hand on his neck Rean avoided looking at her when he answered, "I can swim, it is just….. how do I put this?" Watching Rean squirm made Lucia chuckle for a bit before putting a stop to this, "Let's just say that you and your class will get a surprise during these lessons….actually make that two surprises." Recalling what was also on her son's back made her amend the sentence before she continued while looking directly at Rean, "There is no escaping this Rean, so you better start preparing yourself perhaps after this you will think things through before you decide to be reckless."
Knowing that she was right, he had at least the decency to look admonished leaving the rest of the room confused about what was going on, no one was able to ask anything since it was getting late, and Lucia had to start making her way back to the capital if she and her husband were going to catch the flight back to Roer and from there to Ymir.
After Rean insisted that he should accompany her in case something happen on the way back to the capital, Lucia relented and allowed him to come with her after making sure that he would have enough time to be back before his curfew. She was a bit disappointed that she couldn't meet the rest of his class but if another opportunity appeared she would come visit again perhaps this time with Teo, to meet them and their instructor. Before leaving she took Alisa aside for a moment to talk with her in private without anyone overhearing them, "Alisa I wanted to thank you for everything that you have done for my son."
Surprised at that, Alisa didn't know how to react for a moment before hastily saying, "There is no need for thanks or anything like that, we are friends besides I haven't done much for him if anything he is the one who has helped me out and not the other way around." Giving the girl a gentle smile, Lucia shook head, "Believe me you are helping him plenty, Rean doesn't have any real friends back in Ymir, that is not to say that he doesn't have any, but they are either older or younger than him, he doesn't interact much with people of his age. I know that he made some friends when he was travelling but I also know that it is not the same as having people around daily whom he can talk to instead of just sending letters."
For a moment no one said until Alisa got the courage to ask the question that had been on her mind for months now, "Forgive me for asking this but what happened to him, that makes him doubt his own worth so much?" There was no visible change on Lucia face, but Alisa could see the deep sadness in her eyes when she looked at her, "You noticed it?"
A simple nod from the blond was enough to make her recall the past to what she believed was the starting point for the thorny path her son began to walk, when a nine years old Rean came screaming for help holding a sleeping Elise close to his chest, she had nearly fainted when she saw the state her son had been in wounds all over his body and he was drenched in blood but before she could do anything more than stare at him, he was asking her to make sure that his little sister was ok, refusing any treatment before while apologizing that it was all his fault and…..
Shaking her head to dispel her thoughts of the past, Lucia looked at the young woman before her, carefully choosing her words, "I think it began when he was nine, something happened that made him seek out Master Ka-Fai for training, from there he threw himself into training neglecting anything else that a child his age should do, like playing, making friends and so on. After that he went on that journey for training in the eastern part of the continent and there, he met countless people and from what Master Ka-Fai told us he had been happy while traveling finally ready to put that incident behind him but something happened back there involving some people if they can even be called that and that undid any progress he had made on closing that scar inside him, instead it just made it worse."
Drawing a deep breath to try to calm herself down before she went on, "From that point on it just got worse until Master Ka-Fai decided that it perhaps was time for him to return home, he thought that perhaps being back with his family would help him and we tried, oh we tried so much but the damage was done. He knows that he is important to us, it doesn't matter if we are related by blood or not, he is our son! We made sure to hammer that fact inside his thick skull, believe me."
That drew a small chuckle from Alisa as she imagined that scene, "I can't tell you any details on what happened that is his story to tell but I ask of you that whatever happens from now, please keep an open mind and don't judge him for something that isn't his fault, because I know him well enough to know that he considers the members of Class VII his friends and he will do anything to keep you guys from harm no matter what cost he himself has to pay. (Even it if means using his power to keep you all safe and knowing him, he won't hesitate to leave this place afterwards just to avoid bringing problems to you all.)"
Taking a moment to gather her thoughts Alisa looked directly in Lucia's eyes so that she could see the determination in hers, "I don't know what the future holds but there is one thing I am sure of and that is no matter what I will want to help him out with whatever it is that he is struggling with and I am sure that I won't be the only one, Class VII may still be rough around the edges but with Rean at it is centre I know that we will be able to help him. Gaius and Elliot were the first ones here to befriend him and they also noticed that he is struggling with something, after the first and second field studies the others also have started to spend more time him and noticed the same thing, for now we can't do much but keep an eye on him so that he doesn't overdo it but little by little I will get him to open up to me about his problems, eeh, I mean we will get him to open up to us."
Alisa had started to blush when she finished speaking and would have gone on but stopped when she felt Lucia's hand on her shoulder while the older woman gave her a thankful smile, "Thank you, Alisa. I can rest easy now that I know that my son has such a wonderful friend watching over him, though I must warn you that it won't be easy to get him to talk about his problems because deep down he believes that he isn't worthy of someone doing that for him, so I wish you luck and hope that you will be successful."
Giving her a determined nod in return these two stopped talking because Rean was approaching them wondering what they were talking about though he didn't get much of an answer besides these two exchanging a look and telling him that he didn't have to worry about it, confused at that he thought about trying to get more out of them but his mother told him that they should leave now or that they would miss the train.
