Authors note: Hello all! Apologies for taking so long, I was working on a commission story and had little time between that and work to finish next chapter. Before I post the chapter I would like to start out with a PSA, It has come to my attention that a user (multiple, really) likes to comment really nasty things on someones work if they don't like it. This had happened to my other work (twilight related) and I am dissapointed. Someone wrote a comment along these lines.
-- "I never like to read Twilight fics cause the only people to write for them are lonley housewives who want a big strong man with lots of money to sweep them off their feet. A half baked isekai is better than your shitty writing, you should consider stopping you're a disgrace."
To say I am affected personally would be a lie because I don't care. However the same user commented on a friend of mines story and made her doubt her skills (In which she is using fanfiction to work on). I draw the line at making those I cherish upset and therefore I am posting this.
Should someone post a comment in similar fashion to the one mentioned above or start harrassing you, here are some steps you can take.
1. Take a screen shot of their comment (Include their user).
2. I would suggest having the screenshot dated and timestamped/include the date found in an email.
3. Contact and give them a brief explaination of whats going on.
Note: When you contact them make the subject line bullying/harrassment.
4. Blacklist the user. If you do this they cannot contact you and they are unable to comment on works (as far as I know).
To the user who commented on my other Twilight fic should you read this I have a message. I know sometimes you get frustrated with authors, I do too. Yet if you have hangups on a story, don't read it. It is not hard to ignore something on this site. For every rude comment you post you waste seconds-minutes of your life. Before you comment think about a couple things first.
1. Is it constructive?
2. Can it help them?
Should the answer to both of these be no, move on with your life and do something else.
