Tanya P.O.V

She knew that deciding to call Carlisle would lead to Alice calling first, yet that did not stop the rise of annoyance. Looking at the ringer for another second, she accepted the call.

"Hello, Alice," Tanya said, voice reserved.

"Tanya!" Alice said.

"I saw your decision to call and wanted to jump the gun. Have you found Esme?" Alice rambled.

Tanya had a feeling everyone in the Cullen house moved closer to the little brunette once the question was asked. Instead of answering the excited vampire, the blonde asked a question.

"Alice, where is Carlisle? I would like to speak to him." Tanya said, firmly.

She could hear quiet arguing and a slight hissing. A voice belonging to the blonde doctor greeted her ears.

"Yes? You need to speak with me?" Carlisle said, warmth in his tone.

Tanya could tell he was trying to make her relax and loosen up (for his benefit). Unfortunately for him she had lived through too many resets and had seen his paper-thin walls.

"Carlisle, I am going to expect an answer when I ask this question. Alright?" She said, making sure the other coven leader knew she was serious. Once she got a hum of confirmation she continued.

"Why did Esme leave?" she said, wondering if they were stupid enough to lie to her.

Carlisle became less pleasant at the question.

"Why would that matter Tanya?"

"Answer the question, Carlisle," Tanya said, patience thin.

"She disagreed with something I said about a minor." He said vaguely.

Tanya sighed and decided to keep her lips shut.

"If you aren't giving me more than that..."

"I saw Esme two days ago. She's long gone now." The eldest Denali sister said, feeling his glare through the phone.

"You aren't going to tell me where my mate is? I am sure you know that it is a crime to keep mates from each other." He said, tone trying to be threatening.

"That is where you have it confused, Carlisle. Esme left of her own accord, therefore, she is keeping you apart, not me."

Tanya could hear Carlisle growl.

"If you aren't going to tell me why I will hang up now."

Giving the man a second to comprehend what she said, the phone hung up.

Taking a deep breath, Tanya looked at the house; thinking.

"If Carlisle is unwilling to tell me what happened, then I guess Esme is all I have to go off of." She thought, looking back at all of her memories.

"For once things have changed. The past resets went the same."

"Edward gets obsessed with a human, does some stupid shit, gets her pregnant after marrying her, and we face the Volturi."

"Now."

"Something is off about Esme, she's more feral. Her aura feels abrasive, animalistic."

"Irina, Kate, come here," Tanya stated, coven leader mannerisms taking effect.
