Hello my fellow readers, writers, and people who have been enjoying this story so far, I'm back with yet another new chapter. In this chapter we're going to be going over both parts of the episode the more things change. I don't know how much will change in this version of the retelling of events or whatever you want to consider it.

Anyway I know I've been gone for a while the main reason is because I just haven't felt like writing for a while and life has just been busy for me the last few months. Anyway I'm now back and I'm going to be working on most of my titles that I can find the data as I call it for. Anyway, I don't have anything else to add so without further ado let's get this show on the road.

Ben's P.O.V.

In the middle of the night, we were chasing Zombozo across the rooftops because he stole a brain from the Bellwood brain bank. While it was just Kevin, Gwen, and myself chasing him we had the rest of our team from Fairy tail who had come with us after we had failed to stop Aggregor from getting the piece of the map of infinity that had been hidden there, standing along a rooftop that was pretty close to the brain bank.

As we were coming up on the rooftop they were standing on Zombozo had noticed them and purposely missed the jump so the rest of our team wouldn't catch him and smashed through the window of one of the many skyscrapers in the city. Gwen formed a mana slide that out whole team slid down on and into the building where Zombozo was just recovering.

As we got into the building Mira shot a dark eraser at Zombozo's back which caused him to stumble and throw the brain backward up into the air as he wasn't expecting to be hit in the back. Kevin called out "I got it" and did a sliding forward and caught the brain while also knocking over Zombozo in the process. As he was recovering from being knocked down Gwen said "seriously Zombozo what kind of sicko steals from a brain bank."

Grey said "the real question here is why does Bellwood even have a brain bank" and Zombozo took advantage of our dropped guard and grabbed the jar with the brain in it out of Kevin's hand with a retractable arm. He then quipped "thank you my boy a mind a terrible thing to waste" and then jumped out of the broken window and onto the awning and down into the street.

I then did the same while activating the new Omnitrix and said "Come on give me something good" and I transformed into Lodestar as I landing in front of the truck that had to come to scretching halt when Zombozo had jumped down. I said "not what I was going for but I can work with this" and Kevin landed on top of the truck and absorbed the metal and said "on it."

I then picked him up with the magnetic powers that Lodestar had and threw him right toward Zombozo and it was clean hit as Kevin slammed into Zombozo and skidded across the street. After knocking Kevin back from him he then started moving toward the brain while saying something I couldn't make out. The rest of our team was going toward him only for him to managed to knocked them all back without them even having a chance of firing off one of their spells.

Having enough of this chase I just attracted the metal from the container which he was managing to hold onto pretty good until I just increased the magnetic pull and grabbed onto it as it was yanked out of his hands. He just groaned in defeat and Grey froze Zombozo from the neck down and we called the plumbers to pick him up just as the sun was rising.

For probably the hundredth time I was trying to convince Gwen to stay and work with the team "come on you have to admit that you love this stuff as much as I do Gwen. I can't believe you're really going to leave" and Kevin cut in "yeah wouldn't you skip a few grades of high school if you had some brains" and he tossed the brain container to me which I just barely managed to catch.

I then said "there are plenty of collages right here near Bellwood you could go to" and she responded "not quite the same as the ivy league I told you we've spent years saving the world I just want to see some of what I've been saving." I then replied "I know I get it, well hurry back Kevin the four of us can handle whatever the universe throws our way."

He said "uh Lisanna and me aren't coming back I found a place for us near campus" and I said "so this is goodbye" and Gwen said "of course not there are holidays and semester breaks and besides we're cousins it's not like we'll never see each other again." Kevin said "later man" and was going for a hug while I was going for a handshake, we then switched with me going for a hug and him a handshake before we just bumped fists.

Then kind of annoyingly he gave me a noogie and said "don't do anything I wouldn't do" and I replied "count on it" and he then added on "come to think of it don't do anything you'd usually do either." As the car was driving away Zombozo said "aw what a touching moment too bad you never would have caught me all by your lonesome."

I then said "watch it Zombozo I don't need a team to get the job done I'm a superhero I can do this with only my girlfriend who knocked you down by the way no problem." Then I said more to myself than anything "why am I telling this to a creepy monster clown time to put my money where my mouth is" and then my stomach growled and I added on "but first time to food where my mouth is" I then got in the driver seat of my car with Mira getting in on the passenger side.

We started heading toward the plumber's main base in this area and drove by Mr. smoothies and I said "nah wouldn't be the same "and drove past it. As we got to the plumbing store which was the cover for the plumbers base, we went in the back to the public bathroom and we both stood in the center of the room and pulled the handle that would flush the toilet but instead it sent us down the elevator into the base which was completely underground.

We went right past the whole of where plumbers operations went and went to the kitchen by activating a staircase down which we both slid down by the handles and jumped over the last bit and Grandpa max said "just in time you two" and I said "what are you making." He opened the pot he was holding and said "Zandorian goulash" and tentacles popped out and grabbed Mira and hoisted her up into the air and grandpa pulled a blaster out of his pocket and shot the tentacle until it let Mira go and went back into the pot which he put the lid back on.

He then said "it's fresh" and I said "uh no thanks I'm oddly not hungry I think I'll go back out on patrol" and grandpa said "before you go I got something here that ought to cheer you up." I said "hey I am cheerful I'm psyched to go find some superhero action to get into and something to eat that isn't in the tentacle food group."

He walked up to us holding a piece of paper and said "I just got the data in on your guys' new" but was cut off as what appeared to be a massive earthquake happened. We ran to the main area where all the operations happened and showed something on the screen and I said "we got this" and both Mira and I went to the elevator as Grandpa called out "wait for backup I'll send alpha team" and Mira said "we don't need backup we're us" and we took the elevator back up to my car.

As we got there in the car all that was left was a massive crater and all I could say was "wow bye, bye building" I slid down on the crater and onto a pipe that was left exposed and jumped to the ground trying to land gracefully only to fall flat on my face. Mira as she hovered down said "what do you think caused this" and I said "honestly It could be anything."

As we were looking around trying to figure out what caused this, a giant creature had appeared above us and looked like it was trying to crush us. We barely managed to get out of the way and behind it so it turned around and roared at us. I said "wow let me guess you must be what took the building down nice work very thorough" and Mira said "it obviously wants a piece of us so let's give it what it's looking for" and transformed into her base Satan soul form while I activated the Omnitrix and looked through the head icons and selected one.

I said "get ready to meet a friend of mine I call Humungosaur" and I slammed down the core of the Omnitrix only to get Spidermonkey. As I had finished transforming the thing charged at me and caught me on it's horn and to smash me into the side of the crater. Mira while shooting off dark erasers said "let him go" only for the dark erasers to harmlessly explode against this things thick hide.

I then tried shooting webbing over it only to be rewarded with being slammed against the side of the crater again and I shot webbing at part of the broken building and yanked it while saying "the bigger they are the harder" only to feel the webbing go slack and I groaned "come on" and the rest of the building fell right on top of me and Mira.

As I was getting part of the building off of me I said "I may be small but I'm wiry" and I got away from where the creature had been. As I looked back I saw the creature burst it's way out of the rubble and I said "yeah I should have expected that" and I took off running in the opposite direction of where I was looking.

I was evading it's every attempt to crush me and got it's eye covered in webbing which only seemed to have pissed it off more. As it was charging at me I was expecting to be crushed up against the crater again only for nothing to happen. I looked since I had been covering my eyes only to see the creature had disappeared and I said "yeah and don't come back" and I transformed back and went over to where Mira was and helped get some of the rubble off of her.

As she got up another alien popped out of one of the toilets that were in the crater and said "is it gone" and I yelped and said "who are you." He replied "Pakmar this is my place, was my place, Pakmar's place" while climbing out of the toilet he was in. I said "well you're safe now" and he said "my hero" and it sounded sarcastic and picked up a broom and dust pan and started sweeping the crater.

Mira said "can we help" and he said "no just go away I don't want any more trouble" and I looked around and said "yeah I think it's a little too late for that." He said "all I wanted was to run my toilet emporium in peace now it's in pieces" and I picked up a model of toilet and pushed on a part of it which caused the top part to tilt back and start spinning and another part to pop up and shoot out purple water.

When I looked to Pakmar to explain he said "ehh different aliens have different needs" and I said "I don't even want to know so the thing that did this to your place dissatisfied customer." He said "hardly some off-world lowlifes are shaking down us law abiding businessmen we pay them taydenite they protect us. Only thing is we don't pay and they're the ones we need protecting from" and Mira said "have they threatened anyone else."

Pakmar responded "only every alien shop in Bellwood" as we were getting out of the crater Mira said "so what now" and I said "I know exactly where we need to go next." We then got back into the car and I drove us to Mr. Bauman's shop and after parking and going in we saw Mr. Bauman stacking cans in the middle of the store.

We walked up behind him and said "so Mr. Bauman what do you know" and he stopped for a moment before saying "I know a lot of things" and Mira said "anything about an alien protection racket in Bellwood" and he said "nope." I said "so they haven't been coming around here" and as if distracted he said "whose been coming around where" before looking at his watch" and I said "right" since I knew he was hiding something.

He then started pushing us gently toward the door and said "well nice seeing you two again enjoy a couple free Glopengoo sandwiches to go" and we dug our heels in the floor and I said "they're on their way right now aren't they." Mr. Bauman said "look ben, Mira it's a simple arrangement I pay them they leave which is what I want to two of you to do right now."

I said "but Mr. Bauman we can stop them" and he said "no every time you're in my shop your ruin it" and I responded "you think I'll mess up your place more than they will" and as his unapproving look I admitted "ok one time what if I sit at the counter and blend in like any other customer I promise you won't even notice I'm here."

He snatched the sandwiches from my hands and said "just don't touch anything" and I started walking toward the counter and activated the Omnitrix and said "come on baby any old alien will do for a disguise" and I slammed the core down and transformed into Cannonbolt. As I finished transforming, I had accidently knocked over the can's the Mr. Bauman had been stacking."

I looked over and saw that Mira had assumed her main Satan soul form and I called out "that was me my bad" and then trying to blend in I said "hey how's it going fellow aliens nice weather we're having here on earth huh." Mr. Bauman said "ben you're not fooling anybody" and I said "oh yeah right" and I picked up a large amount of the cans and walked over to the counter to sit on one of the stools only for it to bend backwards due to Cannonbolt's size and weight that came with it along with creating a hole in the floor.

Mr. Bauman said "I knew it I knew it" and I got up and said "eh it'll buff right out" and then instead of one I tried two stools this time which together managed to hold my weight while Mira took a stool right next to me. I looked over and saw someone in a trenchcoat taking a drink of whatever he ordered and saw that he had a half-eaten purple sandwich right next to him.

I looked over to him and said "hey you going to eat the rest of that" and after a second he slid the plate over to me and said "thanks could you pass the" only for him to pass all the condiments that were available in a matter of about a second and I said "wow thanks." As I was about to eat the sandwich a voice behind me said "pay up Bauman."

Another alien that looked like a genetically mutated chicken said "you heard about Pakmar hmm" and Mira snarked "I heard he had good deals on toilets" and Mr. Bauman said "I heard it was an accident." The obvious leader said "accidents happen all the time maybe to you" and moved aside to reveal some device.

Mr. Bauman said "take it easy now I don't want any trouble" and he took out a money box and opened it and removed a piece of taydenite. The leader instead of taking what Mr. Bauman offered took the whole box and said "pleasure doing business with you." I pushed down on the counter which broke it and stood up and said "hey bubble helmet" and he said "this doesn't concern you Arburian Pelarota."

I said "I think it does" and he said "aw someone needs to be taught a lesson" and he closed the money box and it disappeared into his suit and when his hand reemerged, they were holding staffs. Mira who had also gotten up said "oh and I suppose you're the one who's going to teach it to us" and Mr. Bauman said "not in my store please I'll pay you not to do this Ben, Mira."

I said "really" only to refocus "I mean your days of intimidating people are over bubble brain" and the leader started shooting lasers with his staffs and as Mr. Bauman and Mira took cover something happened that caused one of the lasers to go right back and hit the guy right in the face. I rolled up into my shell and right into the leader which knocked him right into a shelf which caused a domino effect of more shelfs falling over."

Mira's P.O.V.

As Ben was rolling around after the group who had come in to shake down Mr. Bauman, I heard him mutter "I knew this would happen the moment he walked into my store." The customers understandably were running out of the store screaming with the exception of the one who had given Ben the remainder of his sandwich while Mr. Bauman called out "thank you come again."

As Ben slammed into the one who looked like a robot and knocked move shelves over he said "I'll clean it up later Mr. Bauman" and he replied "you always say that." I then looked at the alien that looked like a chicken and he challenged me by extending these sharp blade-like protrusions from under his arms and I looked down and scooped up a handful of the seeds he had been munching on before the fight had started and held them out to him.

He then put his fists on his hips and started walking over to me and started eating the seeds while I was charging up a dark eraser behind me back. As he was still eating, I pulled my hand away dropping most of the seeds and as he stood up straight, I slammed him right in the chest with the dark eraser which send him flying back.

The leader then started pushing buttons on the machine and said "okay boys let's make like a tree and craterize this place" and as he started running away a force field formed as the machine started counting down. Mr. Bauman with fear in his voice said "Ben" and he said "not a problem and started rolling into the force field just as the Omnitrix timed out and he ran into it face first.

The leader said "goodbye Mr. Bauman" as he was running and Mr. Bauman said "isn't this were the rest of your friend show up and save the day." As he said this the guy at the counter turned quickly, jumped up, threw his trench coat to the side and started chasing after them. The guy then grabbed the machine on his shoulder and it formed into a bow and he shot an arrow of energy at the leader.

He then put the device on his shoulder and it shot out a cord that tripped the chicken guy and he charged at the robot-like alien and knocked them over simply by landing on them and backflipping away. Ben said "who are you" and the guy said "Rook Blonko Magister Tennyson sent me" and he must have noticed the chicken thug attempting to attack him from behind because he backflipped and kicked the chicken guy down to the ground and added on "I'm your guy's new partner."

Ben said "out new we don't want a new partner I mean no offence but I'm Ben Tennyson" and I said "and I'm Mirajane Strauss." Rook then said "I know It's an honor to be working with the two of you" and Ben continued "wielder of the Omnitrix see I've saved the universe like a billion times" and I said "and I've helped."

Rook said "I know it's required study at the Plumber's academy" and Ben excitedly said "really there's a whole class about us" and Rook said "chapter and a half." Ben said "ah well we were kind of looking forward to being on our own now you understand right we have things under control here." As he said that one of the lights fell off it's holding thing in the distance of the store as Rook looked around.

Rook said "my mistake I thought you did not I waited to see if you needed my assistance" and the group of criminals got up and started running away again. Ben said "don't stop now while the Omnitrix is timed out" and Rook said "oh sorry sir" and without even looking his device activated and shot a net at the group of criminals without him even looking and trapped all three of them.

Ben while still playing it cool said "not bad but I'm sure anyone could do that if they had one of those uh" and Rook said "it's called a proto-tool one of the most versatile tech in the universe I have made some special modifications myself" and Ben said sarcastically "does it have a mute button." I elbowed him in the arm and said "don't be rude" and the Omnitrix beeped and he said "thanks for the help man but I got this now."

He then transformed into an alien that looked like it was made out of Legos and he said "wow who's the guy" and he tried punching the force field only for his hands to break off. He said "I did not see that coming" and he looked over and saw that the trio we stopped were breaking out of the net that Rook had gotten then under.

Ben then called out "hey Rook tag out" and Rook just stood there not understanding what Ben meant by that and Ben explained "it means switch places get over here and disable the force field for me I'll deal with those guys." He then walked over to the trio and build a dome out of his body around them and one of them shot a energy blast through him which he reformed and formed his head out of and said "how's it coming."

Rook was just kneeling in front of the force field and Ben said "what are you waiting for use your techno thingy" and Rook corrected "proto-tool." Another energy blast blasted his head apart but he just reformed it and said "whatever." Rook then readied the Proto-tool and aimed it at all and took a rocket out of one of the pouches of his armor and shot it through the wall.

Rook said "the shield uses a b-karris algorithm I can't break the code in time we need to move it away from the populace" and Ben who was constantly having his head blown apart said "speak English" and Rook said "help me move it outside." He then removed the dome from the trio of criminals and ran over and grabbed the machine with the force field.

He was about to throw it when Rook said "wait" and was moving what looked like a scanner around and Ben said "take your time" and then added on "I'm joking by the way hurry it up." Rook said "have to scan for the presence of sentient life" and put the scanner away and then said "all clear" and Ben lifted the bomb over his head only for his arms to be blown apart which reformed.

He tried catching it and said "I got it" and as it broke through his build he said "I don't got it" and it landed with a burst of light. He then pushed both Rook and I out of the way and formed a catapult under it and threw it into a warehouse across the street from the shop. We all started running away from the warehouse while rook was counting down and the bomb exploded.

The smoke cleared and I saw that Ben had created a dome over us and deformed the dome just as he was timing out and said "you both okay" and I said "pretty much except for the smoke from that explosion getting in my lungs." Rook said "proto-tech armor" while pounding his chest and added on "very nice of you to try to save me though thanks partner."

Ben said "don't mention it" and Rook said "but I just did" and Ben said "and we're not partners we work along now" while putting his arm around my shoulders. Rook said "yes sir" and Ben said "call me ben dude" and Rook said "okay Bendude." The criminals took off into the crater and we went after them and ended up in a different cavern leading the same way they were going only to stop at the exit of said cavern.

We looked down and saw a whole alien city and Ben said "no way" and I said "I'm just as surprised as you are about this city." Rook however just ran past us and kept giving chase and we followed him.

Yet another chapter done I know I said that I'd be covering both parts of the more things change in this chapter but this chapter is already over 4400 words and I don't want to make these chapters too awfully long so we'll be covering part two in the next chapter. Anyway I know I edited it to where it's just Ben and Mira wanting to work together without another partner there but in my opinion it kind of make sense.

I'm sure some of you are wondering what happened to the rest of the Fairy Tail team well Lisanna and Natsu are leaving with Gwen and Kevin and Grey, Lucy, and Erza have been relocated to the plumber's base at Mount Rushmore which I feel makes sense since we saw in a flashback episode of Omniverse I believe it's called Evil's encore that the Mount Rushmore base has been in operation at least since Ben was 11.
