One year had passed since Peter discovered he was quirkless. Each day seemed to blur into a monotonous cycle of bullying and isolation from his former friend. He felt alone, with nobody to turn to. Every step he took seemed to invite ridicule and mockery, simply because he had an extra joint in his toe.

Amidst this turmoil, Peter remained oblivious to the new neighbours who had moved in across the street. Little did he know that a chance encounter was about to change his life.

One afternoon, a knock at the door interrupted Peter's thoughts. He stayed seated, straining his ears to catch snippets of the conversation between Aunt May and the visitor. "Oh hi, Magda... yes, his name is Peter... really? Well, I'm sure he would love to," May's voice drifted towards him.

Moments later, Aunt May appeared by his side, crouching down to his level. She asked gently, "Peter, would you like to meet our new neighbours?" Peter, consumed by sadness and reluctance to engage, nodded in agreement, surprised by his own response.

Leaving the house with Aunt May, Peter reluctantly followed her towards the neighbouring house. May exchanged waves with Magda, the new neighbour, while Peter timidly hid behind his aunt. As May gestured towards the porch, Peter's gaze shifted, and he saw two kids standing there.

One of them, a boy with striking white hair and seemingly boundless energy, spoke up first. "Hi! My name is Pietro," he announced, extending his hand towards Peter. With hesitation, Peter reached out and shook his hand, mumbling, "My name is Peter."

Aunt May beamed with pride at the interaction. Meanwhile, Pietro wasted no time and immediately inquired, "What's your quirk, Peter?" Peter's shoulders slumped, and he looked down, admitting, "I don't have one."

Pietro's expression faltered momentarily as he processed this information. Undeterred, he continued, "Oh, that sucks. Well, my quirk is super speed. I'm like really fast!" In a burst of enthusiasm, Pietro started sprinting down the street but stumbled over a rock, causing Peter to chuckle despite himself.

Turning his attention to the girl who was standing beside Pietro, Peter mustered the courage to introduce himself. "Hi, I'm Peter," he greeted her kindly. The girl remained silent as if lost in her own thoughts. Peter wondered if she was even breathing. Finally, in a soft voice, she responded, "Hi, I'm Wanda."

9 years later

As Peter navigated the crowded hallway of his school, he found himself being called out from behind. He turned to see a brunette classmate, running towards him. A smile spread across his face as he greeted her, "Hey, Wanda! Feels like ages since we last saw each other."

Wanda chuckled and scratched the back of her head, sheepishly admitting, "Yeah, I can't really come up with a good excuse. I've been sleeping a lot lately, dealing with some jet lag, you know?" She giggled softly, her eyes glancing at her watch. "Oh, I completely forgot! What's our first class today?"

Peter straightened up, adjusting his glasses and pushing them back up the bridge of his nose. "I believe we have Science—"

"Move it Wall-Crawler!" a voice interrupted, followed by a blonde teen forcefully pushing past Peter. "Ah, sorry Eugene," Peter muttered, sidestepping to let him pass, but noticing the anger in the blonde's demeanour.

With a sudden thud, the blonde teenager forcefully pinned Peter against the wall, a dark liquid oozing from his skin. "FOR THE LAST TIME, PARKER, IT'S FLASH!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the corridor. The entire hallway fell into an eerie silence as everyone watched, frozen in shock. Wanda attempted to intervene, but Flash forcefully pushed her back.

Witnessing Wanda being pushed, Peter couldn't see her get hurt, and a surge of determination coursed through him. Ignoring the fear, he mustered all his strength and swung his fist towards Flash, shouting, "DON'T PUSH HER!"

But it wasn't that simple. Flash swiftly grabbed Peter's hand, effortlessly stopping the punch. "Ha! You think you can hit me?" Flash taunted, his grip tightening. "Puny Parker."

At that moment, a teacher approached the commotion, his voice stern but concerned. "Mr Thompson, is this the right place for a fight?" Flash's gaze shifted downward, and he released his hold on Peter. "I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again," Flash mumbled as he walked away from him.

"Ah, Peter, are you okay?" Wanda quickly got to her feet and reached out to hold his arms, concern etched across her face.

Peter nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just Eugene being Eugene," he replied, brushing off the incident. "But I need to make sure you're okay. You took quite the fall."

Wanda waved off his worries with a confident grin. "Oh, it didn't hurt me. I'm way stronger than Flash," she flexed her playfully, emphasising her point.

Just as they were regaining their composure, a teen with silver hair appeared behind them, his presence unmistakable. "Yo, what's up, dorks?" he greeted them, his voice laced with a mischievous tone.

"Hi, Pietro," they both responded in unison, acknowledging him.

"Looks like you're going to be late, you know," Pietro's voice rang out, accompanied by the tapping of his foot against the floor. He glanced at his watch, a playful smirk dancing across his face. "But hey, that's something I don't have to worry about." With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he took off, leaving behind a blur of silver.

Peter chuckled, watching Pietro disappear down the corridor. "Well, that's your brother for you," he remarked, a hint of admiration in his voice. "Always running."

Wanda chuckled along with Peter, her eyes following Pietro's lightning-fast departure. "Well, yeah, what else would he do with his quirk? Stay still?" she joked, her playful sarcasm evident.

They continued their stroll through the school hallways and engaged in light-hearted conversation.

As they approached their science class, they spotted Pietro already seated, trying to keep himself entertained. Peter walked up to him with a friendly grin. "Hey, Speedster, finding ways to kill time before class?" he teased, leaning against the desk beside Pietro.

Pietro flashed a cocky smirk. "Well, when you're blessed with the gift of speed, time practically stands still. I could finish an entire series of books before anyone blinks," he boasted, his silver hair falling effortlessly into place.

Wanda rolled her eyes playfully, joining them at the desk. "Or you could use your speed for something productive, like actually studying," she suggested, nudging Pietro with her elbow.

Peter laughed, enjoying the banter between his friends.

"HELLO, CLASS!" The booming voice echoed through the room as the door swung open. All heads turned in unison, and a hush fell over the students as they awaited their teacher's entrance. Anticipation filled the air, as everyone wondered what the new school year had in store for them.

"I HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GOOD REST BECAUSE YOUR GOING TO NEED IT!" The teacher's voice reverberated with enthusiasm, filling the room with an energy that was hard to ignore. His presence commanded attention, and the students couldn't help but be captivated by his sheer exuberance.

Amidst the palpable excitement, a student timidly raised his hand, his voice laced with nervousness. "Uh, sir, can I have a bathroom pass?" The request hung in the air, accompanied by a flicker of uncertainty.

The teacher's gaze turned towards the student, his stride purposeful as he made his way through the rows of desks. With each step, his authoritative presence seemed to intensify. As he stood beside the student, his voice boomed once again, startling everyone.

"NO, YOU CANNOT!" The words echoed in the room, a mix of surprise and confusion rippling through the students. The student's hand slowly retreated a hint of disappointment etched on his face.

But just as quickly as the sternness had appeared, the teacher's expression softened, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Just kidding!" he exclaimed, causing the class to gain a nervous laughter. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a stack of bathroom passes, offering one to the student. "Of course, you can have a bathroom pass. Don't forget to bring it back though!"

Relief washed over the student's face as he accepted the pass, a grateful nod accompanying his response. "Thank you, sir!"

The teacher's charismatic demeanour filled the room once more as he addressed the class. "Remember, folks, learning can be serious, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun along the way. Let's make this year one to remember!" With a clap of his hands, he turned towards the whiteboard, ready to embark on an educational journey with his eager students. As the lesson began, the classroom buzzed.

After the bell rang, signalling the end of the science class, Peter, Wanda, and Pietro walked out of the classroom, making their way through the bustling hallways to their next class. The chatter of students filled the air, as everyone hurriedly shuffled between classrooms, books clutched tightly in their hands.

As they walked, Peter couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement bubbling within him.

The rest of the day progressed with a rhythm of classes and assignments, papers and pencils. They worked diligently and filled in sheets.

As the final bell of the day rang, signalling the end of classes, Peter, Wanda, and Pietro gathered their belongings and made their way towards the school's entrance.
