Chapter 1 Summer

In the woods of gravity falls Wendy was chopping some wood with her axe to bring home. It was almost summertime and Wendy was looking forward to starting back her job at the Mystery Shack as well as seeing her friends Dipper and Mabel come down for the summer. Wendy hoped this summer wouldn't be boring, though she didn't want to go on some crazy mission to save the world from some crazy apocalypse. She finished chopping up the wood and began to head home.

Up at the Northwest Manor several movers were in the process of transporting some pieces of art and a few artifacts for a special upcoming party. Preston stood to the sides overseeing the unloading and the planning for the event. After the whole Weirdmageddon incident, the Northwest family had lost a great deal of their fortune and had been forced to sell their mansion to Old Man McGucket in order to maintain face and their upperclass lifestyle. It had been very humiliating, but Preston vowed to regain his former status and home.

Preston had dove headlong into his company and had greatly expanded the mud flap business as well as go into other business such as trucking and delivery services. It had been a rough ride and more then once Preston had to do a bit of bargaining and make deals with a few shady people, but the business was booming and the Northwest fortune had been restored. Getting the mansion back had been a bit tricky since Old Man McGucket was both rich and had no interest in making money, so Preston had to go another route to get his mansion back. Preston bought a good patch of land that had a good view of the sky and built a very up to date observatory on it and then he presented it as a trade for the mansion. Old Man McGucket was thrilled by the observatory and gave the mansion back to Preston and his family.

In the present, Preston was looking at all the pieces of art and artifacts, when he came across a gold square amulet in a display case and found himself staring at it.

"You desire power. Place this amulet on your neck and it shall be yours." Said a ancient voice that seemed to be coming from within Preston's mind.

Preston shook his and stepped away from the display case. He simply told himself that the voice he just heard was nothing more then his imagination playing tricks on him. Preston quickly walked away to oversee the rest of the upcoming party.

At that moment deep in the woods there was an old and ancient looking tree. All was quiet, when suddenly a bolt of lightning struck and destroyed the upper part of the tree leaving nothing but a stump. Imbedded in the stump was a sword. The sword was much older then the tree and had placed there long ago by a warrior known as Red Sonja to deal with a great and ancient threat, until the time was right. That time was fast approaching.

To be continued.
