Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Prideful Plains. Enjoy the 4600-word chapter. I don't own Lion King; Disney and a few others do.

There was a lot more to be coming down to this. This had to end before this consumed the rest of the savanna. He doubted she'd care… She wanted to rule. The idea of all that power and being controlled by her mother? It was far too much for her to fathom. It'd be a lot more interesting when it came down to it.

Akida sighed to himself. there was a lot more to her than this. They had to be willing to do more. She had a lot more to say and do before now. Anything else would be pulled apart at the end of the day.

"What happens when you become the hero of the waste?" Vitani questioned before Akida hummed and seemed to look at his friend.

"And what is going to happen before this is all said and done? Do you become the princess of the entire place? Take over everything? Do you own all of this place? It'd be so much before your question." Akida questioned; his eyebrows raised at the woman in question.

She had no answer. It didn't surprise him. She didn't even seem to hold an answer, only questions… Only things that hadn't been said, stuff that couldn't be done when it was questioned when it was down to it. There was a lot more as of the second. It'd be a lot more horrid.

"There will be more time to handle this," Akida stated before he hummed to himself.

There was more to this plan than he questioned as he glanced at her, his eyebrow raised. This plan had been all coming down to it. he had been a lot more interested in what she had done… The plan had been simple. He had been prepared for anything she threw at him.

Still? He had been a lot more curious as of the second when it came down to this. There were more plans in whatever could be said or done to prevent this at the end of the day. he knew more than anything that had been curious at the time. she wanted something that had been bothering him… Yet for some small reason? She had been ready for this war for a while and he was smart enough to know for a fact that she wasn't going to back down for some time. it'd be a lot more to question as of the time.

He didn't know what to do next. He sighed before he ran a hand down his temples.

He sighed before he tilted his head. He slowly started to back away before he hummed. This was going to be a terrible adventure she'd drag him into. There was a lot more to say and do. This adventure would divide the entire Pridelands it seemed.

Oh, did he hate being roped into her plans? He hated for this game to come down to it. There was a lot more to plan for and he questioned what she had been happy with at the time. This plan was going to be a lot more focused on this plan.

Vitani seemed to be a lot more amused, only slowly thrown off by this had been before it had been done and dusted. Well? He had been a lot happier when this game was exciting before now.

Vitani knew him more than he knew her. It always seemed like a game where she had to understand him more than he had her. She wanted nothing more than all the power he had before now. It'd be an odd little point of history if it wasn't for the fact that she had controlled all that she wanted… She wanted this game to last for years and it seemed as if it would for now.

Still? if he was honest? This game hadn't ended yet. It hadn't ended before he felt like it and he had decided more than anything.

"Do you always want to think about this?" Vitani heard as she rolled her eyes at him. "What happened next? This had been a lot more focused on this. He had been a lot more to this little game. We both know how this game ends.

"You always think you know what I'm going to do before it was all over with… That idea is all rattling around in your head" Akida stated.

"It had been a lot more curious for the time being," Vitani stated before she watched as he snorted and looked around with a look of anger on his face. "You are always so tense. You need to chill. You need to chill." Vitani stated to which Akida felt angrier than he had been before.

Still? if he was quite honest? He was happy. He was honestly a lot happier than he had been before now. The idea that she had understood him more than anyone was a lot more laughable than it had been before now. If he hadn't lied? This would be a riot on his mind. A riot.

Instead, it seemed as if she found some sick pleasure in trying to understand him. Some honestly sick ideas that hadn't yet taken hold. It'd be a lot odder if he hadn't lied about it and he managed to control himself… But no, couldn't own that for the time being. Vitani was both the most insane Lioness he had met and one of the coolest and the simple idea she didn't know was a lot more terrifying than he had fathomed for now.

Their game held such promise, such a little funny thing for them to dwell on. It made her laugh to know such things hadn't yet come to pass and wouldn't anytime soon. She wanted a game with him, one which would not run short too soon. The problem was Akida didn't like her games, he didn't like it on the surface even as all was said and done.

Still? if he wanted to play that game? She could play it. there were so many levels to her games and she knew he didn't just back off as easily as she seemed to be trying to do anytime soon.

It vexed her to know more than anything how this game would be, so far confused from what she seemed to be capable of any time soon.

"You know you can't keep lying to yourself forever, right? It will only make things worse." Vitani stated to which Akida hummed, tilting his head to the side, unsure of what her game would be… Could be anytime soon.

It was to be a nightmare beyond their understanding. Whatever came next? It would not be over anytime soon. They had to end this game, but she wouldn't let it end anytime soon, no, where would the fun in that be? Where would the fun be?

The amount of time invested in this was something she didn't do at all. There was nothing more to the game, all too unwilling to admit fault.

She had been unwilling to even attempt to see anything differently and it made him sigh as he questioned what to do next. There was more to their game that she hadn't yet unveiled. He sighed, curious about what was to come next. The move was weirder, understanding.

He could only roll his eyes, too curious about how best to handle it, for now. There was just no resource he could employ that didn't at all end with them getting into another fight.

So be it. she liked the fights, the challenge, and the thrill of learning more about him while trying to put up a good fight between them.

"The nightmare isn't going to end just because you want it to do," Vitani stated to which Akida rolled his eyes, all too interesting.

He was a lot more focused on what to do and how he'd do it. He had been oh so much odder, oh so much to be done and would be done. He had to snap her out of this farce, he wanted her to listen and she didn't. it'd make him scream, cry, and throw himself into a rage.

There was nothing to be done, nothing. A lot weirder of an idea than it had been unusual for now. The game had been afoot for now and would continue to remain that way despite every single thing against it at the end of the day.

There was a lot more to this. A lot worse, something that hadn't yet gotten where she wanted it to have gotten.

There was only something that hadn't yet gotten when it was a problem. He hadn't a problem when it was all said and done.

"Common… You know you want to." Vitani said as she stepped back, allowing him the chance to pounce. "You want to fight, don't you? It's fun, isn't it? no? I know you want to." Vitani said, her fangs bared at the enemy. He wasn't going to have gotten it when it came down to it.

He bit. He lunged at her, interested before now in what she had wanted so badly. If she had wanted to battle that badly, well? He'd blasted well have given it to her before he came down to question before he sighed while he hummed to himself. There was a lot more to have gotten while he questioned what to have done and dusted for now and for the rest of the time for now.

He sighed as he seemed to question what she had been doing. There was a lot more to do and a lot more to see about the jungle. It was only when he clashed with her over and over.

He tried to tackle her before he glanced at her before it seemed to question what else had been said and done.

He cut at her with his claws, gnashing his teeth which almost cut her as she smirked and backed away, her teeth bared towards her before this came downwards to their tactics.

He seemed bored; a lot more bored while she almost tackled him down to the ground as he slowly started to glance upwards. He hadn't any idea why she targeted her before it came down to this battle.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Vitani questioned as she almost tried to tackle him, clipping him as he did so.

There was only so much that had gotten to such a degree as he did so. He was sent to the ground for only a few seconds. It had been something that he seemed to get ready for now.

"C'mon, you can do better than that," Vitani said while she sat down.

He growled and tried to clip her before he was sent down to the ground. There were several seconds of how well this hadn't been a problem for now.

"What are we going to do for now?" Vitani asked while raising an eyebrow, too amused at his antics, far too much that could have bothered him.

It was fun, something that hadn't yet gotten to where it was all. He hadn't yet gotten where he should have. He was fun, he was a lot of fun that could have been a problem when it was all said and done. It was a lot worse when to have gotten more when it was all over.

He had a lot more to get over when it was all decided for now. He prepared for the worst. The worst of the worst when it came down to it. There was more on the mind as of the time being it seemed to have questioned.

He hated the fact he knew she had gotten under his skin. She hated the fact he could resist the urge to have bitten and go berserk when it was all and done.

These problems would grow. The problem? He wasn't thrown off by Vitani as of the time being. He didn't know what this problem was going to have down to have been this problem.

He seemed to have questioned what it was all said and done. He didn't know why this was a problem for it was all done. He smirked at her, tilting his head before he clicked his head, he smirked as he extended his claws towards her. He hadn't yet seemed to have gotten her off his mind.

There were a lot more problems that it had yet gotten off his mind. He tilted his head; he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He wanted to cut her down to the side when it seemed to have been all done and dusted. It only made him roll his eyes as he realized that she was going to be a problem. He didn't get her, but he damn well expected to when push came to shove.

He lunged at her, his fangs poking through his lips as she easily dodged, too amused at his antics to offer much if at all a response. It wasn't something that he could have done for the time being. it was such an odd concept that had been disrupted. He could barely fathom the intent behind it, only that she had foolishly contributed to such a measure that it made him sigh at her.

"C'mon, you can't think it's going to be that easy to have killed me when it's all said and done," Vitani said while she glanced down at him.

"We aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I don't want anything to do with your plan, but I am going to stop your plan when it comes down to it." Akida growled while he looked at her with an interest that couldn't be easily matched.

"We both know that something else is going to be a problem," Akida stated before he shook his head. "If this was so easy? We both know how well this was going to be an odd little thing which means we're going to have to have to question." Akida stated before he sighed to himself.

He slowly started to focus before he clicked his tongue and watched as she slammed into him, sending them crashing to the ground when it comes down to it. Akida swiped at her which was enough to send her to the side with an ease that he only found to be irksome the more he contemplated it.

"Gonna have to try more than when it comes down to it," Vitani stated to which he shook his head before he looked at his enemy.

She glanced at him as if begging him to do something, begging him to do something that he had been pushed in this direction. He didn't know what to have done when all of the dust settled as she smirked like a cat playing with a mouse. He wanted to understand what to have questioned for the time being.

Akida knew what she'd do if she had all this power and time to plot against him. She was dangerous, a snake in the grass, and yet? Akida could tell she wasn't at all lying to herself for now. it wasn't to be a trick… And yet Akida was worried as anyone would be, she was an enemy, one who could constantly feed him lies to keep him complacent for now, if anything.

Perhaps he was too tough on himself for good reasons. She was an enemy, one who may or may not cause problems down the road, and yet? Well, it seemed to constantly cause more and more problems.

"If you're going to be a problem? I'm going to shut you down; I'm not going to allow you to just do whatever you want. You don't get to just win and walk away, Vitani, it's getting a bit old." Akida said as he rolled his eyes and looked around the plains, utterly confused and baffled as to what her plan would have turned out to have been.

It was far more than enough to drive himself crazy and over the edge, perhaps even more so than before. She walked around Akida, glancing at him as she tilted her head, smirking at him as she went. It was clear they'd have problems if nothing else at the end of the day.

"You are so much fun to play with, Akida. You belong on our side; I don't even know why you're trying to fight me." Vitani stated before rolling her eyes and smirking to herself before tilting her head to the side.

It'd be fun for Akida if not for the fact that these problems between them were slowly starting to become worse and worse. Akida felt his wounds all burn with pain and it becomes worse and worse the moment.

Still? Akida seemed to become more determined to try and defeat her. He growled at her before clicking his teeth against the roof of his mouth.

He sighed to himself and frowned at her as she smirked and started to look downwards at the moment. Akida would continue to try and continue going on and on. Akida felt her smirk as she leaped downwards, landing in front of him Akida growled, his teeth bared as she slowly approached him, eager to continue to get their fight going more and more.

"Are you going to sit there? Are you going to fight? You've never been this boring when it comes down to it. We all know you aren't going to do anything. I'm far too unwilling to try and back down anytime soon." Vitani stated as her tail flicked her friend in the face.

Akida sighed and simply knocked her tail to the side, cracking his claws. He'd not all be able to relax for now and yet it seemed more and more of a silly little distraction from her. Vitani just wanted to play her games while the entire world burned around her. It'd not be easy to fix for now and she knew it, she was content to continue playing in the Pridelands even as more and more of it burned.

"I'm sick and tired of playing games with you," Vitani stated before smirking as she looked to the side.

"Don't tease me, Vitani. I've gotten used to it and it wasn't as funny as you seem to think it is. You're constantly driving me up a wall and it's starting to get old for now." Akida stated before crossing his paws across his chest.

"And yet you keep coming back as we've already said for now. I don't know why you're going to keep coming back at the end of the day. All of these problems just keep building up and more and you don't want to relax. It's becoming funnier and funnier for now." Vitani stated before yawning to herself and looking around.

"All of it becomes pointless around you, every single little thing you get your hands on you corrupt and you know it. I don't even get to enjoy this place anymore because of you." Akida said before yawning, too exhausted, too annoyed to get up.

He knew more and more if she was allowed to get upwards and looked towards the ground. He didn't at all know if it could go anywhere, for now.

She was so odd for now and it bothered him to the end of all days, it'd be the end of all monstrous things and she was well aware of it. The ideas swirling around his head only served to horrify and make him utterly terrified at the end of the day.

What had Vitani planned anyway? What was cutting through her mind and making him too interested to just walk away? What was coming next and just how well it could have been avoided?

He doubted she'd ever tell him, not just because of her views, but because of the fact it was FUN not to tell him. She knew more and more that whatever was coming would be terrifying and cold yet to her it was beyond all control and all known strategy happens.

The two circled each other like wolves circling fresh kills, they raked their claws over the ground, cutting groves in the cold, wet, dirt. He sighed and looked at her, cracking his fingers at her, utterly bamboozled at the end of the day.

He wouldn't at all give her the chance as he tossed himself at her, claws exposed as she and he began to growl. She acted fast before flipping him with her back paws, slamming him into the dirt only for him to yank her tail and send her crashing into the dirt.

He glanced at her, knowing exactly what was coming and knowing he'd have to stop her before she hurt someone else. It was as simple as that and always would be, whatever little details in between existed could and would be changed.

She glanced at him, mud dripping off her once pristine coat as the two lions continued to chase, to hunt the other through the tall brush.

"Part of you always likes this fight, part of you wants to be here, Akida. Why else would you keep coming?" Vitani asked before she looked down at the ground.

She knew him almost as well as his family did. She didn't once deny that he was different but it was clear to her that she wanted this fight and so did she. She had said it a trillion times and she'd continue to act like that over and over as it came down to it. Whatever he was as well as this? He was a lion first and foremost at the moment and she'd gladly drag that part to the light.

"Do I have to hear you tell me about the fact that I enjoy fighting again and again and again? Because part of me thinks you ONLY care about that and nothing else." Akida said, clawing after her as the two chased one another around the swamp, utterly tired more and more and more.

They had so much at the moment, unsure of what to try and figure it all out. He had a lot more to fathom at the moment and he glanced at her, utterly consumed and bored, exhausted at the end of the day.

He panted inwardly, not letting her see that he was worn down at the moment and he knew something else would challenge them at the moment. She wanted blood and he'd give her it; he was tired of their game and he'd make sure to end it all.

Vitani watched as his eyes narrowed and he bounded after her, tackling them both into a giant puddle of mud, soaking and cutting their coats into a pure brown color as mud clung to them.

He felt it staining their pelts and ruining their fur. He growled and forced her down despite her being slightly bigger and stronger than her, he wasn't going to back down from fighting her at all, not when he could easily do so and not when he could relax, tiring over and over as he did so.

Despite this, she smiled, showing her purely white teeth, which poked through her mud painted face.

"There ya are… I missed you." Vitani said as Akida growled. "I told you; I've told you a thousand times! You want this, you ALWAYS want this, you come out to the border day in and day OUT just to see and fight me… And it feels good, doesn't it? gets the blood boiling, sharpening your claws." Akida heard as he blustered.

He dares not give her the satisfaction of being right. Part of him longed to fight her, it was an odd little coincidence when it all came down to it that he was always dragged here because he wanted to be… Because he wanted to relax… And he'd not be denied his prize at the juncture.

She smiled and pushed away from him, falling into the mud and permanently staining her coat for the day as she sighed and lamented the fact, she'd be dealing with mud the entire day.

All of it only managed to make him scream and he wasn't going to give her the horizon she looked over what to do next before she looked upwards and into the sky, almost as if mocking the mere idea, he could grow to be superior at this, even if for only a bit. There was a nightmarish thing to which he could only dream of it happening and only wish to make it better now… Anything else would be something that he could on which he agreed with such things would only continue to get better and better with time and effort upon now.

He doubted her, mostly because it was true to a degree once more. It cut a LOT deeper than before, a LOT more under the skin than anything in their way, it would make her laugh if she didn't at all wish to see it end a certain way. Whatever was thrown in their path.

Whatever was said and done? It wouldn't work… Purely because they all knew what was coming and dreaded it, dreaded it in a way no other being could.

Him? He was fun to mess around with, fun to wrap around her claws. She saw NOTHING short of amusement when it came down to it, they had NOTHING short of mercy upon which could be ended.

Perhaps it was just faith messing with her, perhaps she had found a chink in the armor he didn't want to know. The suspense was better than knowing.

"What comes next?" Vitani asked as she looked at Akida who only sighed and rolled his eyes.

"You messing with me like always because it's ALL you seem to care about?" Akida asked before he looked downwards at the ground.

She hummed at looking upwards and into the sky before she cracked her fingers. She wanted this to not end… It wasn't fun then if something about it seemed to be odder as she cracked a smile once more as she was able.

Vitani was able to try and think of what to see and do at the moment. She was unable to try and figure out anyone, anyone, and anything.

"It's fun to mess with you but I'm tired. Not in the mood to fight you any further." Vitani said before she yawned and sighed before looking downwards at the ground.

She watched him sigh before he slowly yet surely lay downwards, unable to think of something that needed to be dealt with next.

Had she found something more amusing than him? Well, it would continue to be odder and odder for now. They had a measure of amusement between them as he looked at her.

She had fallen silent for such a long time, a longer one than she was eager to try and figure out for the time being. He was tired, and so was she… Something that could only bug her at the end of the day.

She yawned to herself before she lay down on the ground, ready to cut the world down for now.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter down! I want to point out that the next chapter will be delayed and will set up the movie and such. The next chapter will be 900-6500 words and will be in 2-10 months and will show the last interaction between Vitani and Akida as kids. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
