Chapter 32: Nomu Truth

Thankfully the injuries from the group that fought off Stain were minimal. As much as they didn't liked that Izuku acted like a human shield it really did help.

Though word did spread quickly about the group that did take him down. And thankfully Shoto didn't get in trouble thanks to the fact his father did grant him permission to use his quirk, granted it was on the Nomu and not Stain but there was a loop hole thankfully.

Still the group was gaining a lot of news, even Izuku. With word spreading about how Izuku had dropped out of the Sports Festival before it happened due to personal reasons and that Ingenium had heard about him and the reason why he dropped out along with reasons to ask him to intern with him.

Though of course everything about it wasn't public, but it was true. Izuku did quite a of publicity.

Thankfully he did managed to avoid the press who wanted to talk to him due to well… the fact he's able to avoid detection due to lacking a body.

And so Izuku went to visit them in the hospital being the only one in the group that didn't have any injuries for obvious reasons.

"Thankfully the injuries weren't that bad." Sighed Tensei.

"That's good." Sighed Izuku using a puppet as his robot was being repaired.

Izuku once again sighed.

"Hey is everything all right?" asked Tensei.

"Sorry it's just that when I possessed that Nomu I heard a voice." Said Izuku.

"A voice?" asked Tensei.

"Yeah…" said Izuku, "Durring the fight… there was a voice and the weirdest part was that it felt like it knew me."

"Okay that is concerning." Said Tensei.

"I know…" sighed Izuku.

"I'll talk to the police and see if they look into certain things." Said Tensei.

He didn't know that call was going to change everything.

He decided to check in on Tenya and Shoto who shared a room .

"So. How is everything!" said Izuku.

"Everything is fine." Said Tenya.

"My father is angry that I got credit in helping beat the Hero Killer but it's more out jealously than anything." Said Shoto.

"But wouldn't he be proud of that you got credit for it?" asked Izuku.

"He is… considering everything." Said Shoto, "But he's also jealous…"

"DO you know what they're saying about you yet?" asked Tenya looking at Izuku.

"I don't know…" said Izuku, "Since I'm possessing the Nomu in all pictures and videos I might have to come up with what to say…"

"But isn't the truth about you public." Said Shoto.

"Kind of…" sighed Izuku.

A lot of people did know that he was the victim of a body snatching villain after all.

"I don't know… they're probably say it's an ability or something without saying it's a quirk." Said Izuku.

""That would make the most sense." Said Tenya, "And when you get your body back you can clear it up."

"You're right." Said Izuku.

Thankfully those in the hospital didn't stay for very long. As once they were out they all went back to their Internships. Though it was only 2 days left when they got out the hospital.

But still… there was still some time remaining to salvage the week for them…

However Izuku wasn't expecting news when they got back.

"Hey Midoriya! Someone wants to talk to you." Called out Salty.

"Okay!" said Izuku .

He saw it was Tsukauchi who looked very concerned.

They went into a room to talk.

"So what did you want to talk about?" asked Izuku.

"It's about the Nomu you possessed." Said Tsukauchi, "We ran a DNA test and the results were instant."

"What do you mean?" asked Izuku.

"Normally I wouldn't be telling you this however you do have a connection to the victim which will might why you heard a voice." Said Tsukauchi.

"Victim what do you mean victim?" Said Izuku confused.

Tsukauchi produced a picture of a very chubby young boy.

If Izuku could blush with his puppets as it turned out he could pale with the robots.

"Nomu appear to be made up of bodies with multiple quirks… but the most prevalent DNA in this Nomu was a missing person case from years ago… one that you were interviewed for." Said Tsukauchi.

That was when it hit Izuku hard… the Nomu's wings.

"Oh no…" whimpered Izuku, "The wings… his wings…"

Tsukauchi sighed at the reaction.

"I know I shouldn't tell anyone… but can I tell my classmate?" asked Izuku, "He was closer to him…"

Tsukauchi nodded knowing he was referring to Katsuki.

"Other than him please keep quiet about it." Said Tsukauchi, "Right now it's better if the public don't know the truth about the Nomu."

"I will…" said Izuku.

He sent a text to Katsuki.

"Call me when you can we need to talk."

Katsuki called shortly after the detective left.

"What did the triangle bastard do this time!" Yelled Katsuki on the other end of the phone .

"It's not him this time! But it's still bad…" said Izuku.

"Really what?" asked Katsuki.

"I found out what happened to Tsubasa." Said Izuku .

Katsuki's eyes widened on his end.

Tsubasa was one of his lackeys when they were kids and Tsubasa went missing before they entered JR. High. Both of them were interviewed about the last time they saw him, but neither knew anything about his disappearance.

"The people who kidnapped him were the leauge of villains." Said Izuku.

"Are you fucking kidding me"! yelled Katsuki.

"When I possessed that Nomu, I kept hearing a voice." Said Izuku.

He began to cry.

"The voice sounded like he knew me…" said Izuku.

"Wait… are you saying…. that fucking Nomu was…" muttered Katsuki.

"Yeah…" cried Izuku, "When the Nomu died, I heard him thanking me and apologizing for everything he did."

"Why the fuck would he thank you!" yelled Katsuki.

"Kacchan… the reason why I possessed that body was that nothing was really controlling it… I think it was already like a puppet…" said Izuku, "His voice was probably what remained of his consciousness…"

"Fuck!" yelled Katsuki.

"I know…" sighed Izuku.

"What the fuck is wrong with them!" yelled Katsuki.

"I don't know…" sighed Izuku.

"No wonder why the Triangle Bastard is with them!" yelled Katsuki .

"Yeah…" said Izuku.

"So… you think his soul was trapped in there." Said Katsuki.

"I do." Said Izuku.

"You know a year ago I wouldn't have believed crap about souls…" said Katsuki, "But now…"

"You would have believed that a year ago…" said Izuku.

"Shit… a year and a half ago then…" muttered Katsuki.

Izuku chuckled, but things became tense.

"Tsubasa wasn't really my friend… we hung out but he was just a lackey." Said Katsuki.

"I know…" said Izuku.

Izuku must have realized that Katsuki gotten the memories of Tsubasa joining in the beatings thanks to Bill.

"Still… he doesn't deserve something like that…" muttered Katsuki.

"No… he didn't…" sighed Izuku.

"The Triangle Bastard Comes first." Said Katsuki.

"I know…" said Izuku.

Whatever the League of Villains had planned, they came second to whatever Bill was planning.

"Look Deku, I have to get going. We'll talk when we get back…" said Katsuki.

"Yeah…" said Izuku.

The call ended and Izuku sighed.

That was when there was a knock on the door of the room he was using and it was Tenya who was the one knocking.

"Are you okay?" asked Tenya.

"Not really but it's complicated." Said Izuku.

"I see…" said Tenya.

With Katsuki, he ended the call.

"Hey you okay?" asked Dynamite Gal.

"No! But I can't talk about it…" said Katsuki.

"Okay… fine… keep your secrets." Said Dynamite Gal.

Katsuki rolled her eyes at her.

They learned from this while Bill was a bigger threat at the moment, that one day they would have to take down the League of Villains…

Even with the fact at the moment they were teamed up with Bill…

Next Time: They return to school where it's hard to not talk about the Hero Killer. However that's not the most important thing, Izuku needs to ask Power Loader if he thinks Izuku can be a hero with just support gear. What's the answer? Find out next time!
