Chapter 35: The Finals

The others pairings were Ochaco and Aoyama against Thirteen, Tenya and Ojiro against Power Loader, Toru and Mezo was the only other team that was two members of the team to be together.

Also Mina and Kaminari, Kirishima and Sato, Tsuyu and Tokoyami and finally Jiro and Koda…

Of course there were the rules on how the win their matches.

They either had to cuff their teacher or escape the to an escape point. Though some students were surprised that it was okay to joust run.

"Remember there will be times in fights where you have to run away." Said Nezu.

The class was quiet at that.

"But don't worry we will have a handicap." Said All Might.

It turned out they were weights that were a good size among of their weight.

Turned out Hatsume the girl who tricked Iida in the Sports Festival was the one who designed them.

""These are heavier than I thought." Said All Might.

Those that knew of All Might's condition sweat dropped.

"I hope he's not getting hurt by them" whispered Ochaco.

"He's fine." Muttered Katsuki figuring that it was for show.

It was true him complaining about the weight was mostly for show.

Still…

And so the matches got started… with Kirishima and Sato being the first ones.

"Ojiro… would you like to strategize before our match?" asked Iida.

"That's a good idea." Said Ojiro.

"Midoriya." Said Shoto.

"Okay!" said Izuku.

After all Shoto knew that Izuku was a good strangest.

Yaoyorozu however was a bit nervous… he wasn't sure if she would be able to do it./.. it didn't help that Katsuki walked away.

It was Kirishima and Sato's turn first who were against Cementoss.

There was a room where Recovery Gril was watching due to the fact that she was needed in case students got injured.

As it turned out Dipper, Mabel and Ford were watching too as there was nothing much else to do.

That was when Ochaco entered the room.,

"You're watching too?" sked Ochaco.

"Yeah, not much else to do." Said Mabel.

"Should you be strategizing with your partner?" asked Dipper.

"Well my partner…" said Ochaco.

Turned out Aoyama was distracted by himself and was looking at his reflection.

"That sounds about right." Laughed Mabel.

"Do you think they will pass?" asked Ochaco.

"I don't." answered Ford.

"What?" asked Ochaco.

"These exams are meant to cover their weakness, I don't think those are in the right state to over them." Said Ford.

There was an awkward silence in the room.

As it turned out he was right as their plan was just attack the walls that Cementoss created and not find a way around the walls.

The next one was Tsuyu and Tokoyami.

"I think they have a much better chance at passing." Said Ford.

As it turned out he was right as while it looked bad at first, they were able to beat Ectoplasm while trapped in a giant clone of his.

Afterwards was Tenya and Ojiro.

They watched and thankfully the two passed with Tenya making sure that Ojiro passed through the gate despite Power Loader making it hard by digging tunnels… though Tenya did end up neck deep in the ground when it was all over.

"All right!" cheered Mabel happy to see that the first member of the team to pass.

"Katsuki's is next." Said Dipper.

"I think they'll pass." Said Ford.

The twins nodded, after all Katsuki had changed since everything with Bill started, the combination was going to be hard for Aizawa.

Not too long later, Katsuki and Yaoyorozu walked into the testing ground which rassled a residential area.

"So Ponytail… you got a plan?" asked Katsuki.

"What?" asked Yaoyorozu.

"I said do you have a plan?" asked Katsuki, "I don't have any plan besides try to kick his ass without my quirk. But I figure you have a better plan."

"I don't know if it would be any good I mean…" said Yaoyorozu.

"That is bullshit!" yelled Katsuki.

"What?" she asked.

"You're the smartest person in class." Muttered Katsuki rolling his eyes.

"But Midoriya's grades are better." Said Yaoyorozu.

"The fuck! Everyone knows that the reason is because he can't sleep without his body so if there's a test coming he has plenty of time to study." Muttered Katsuki.

She blushed in response.

"So don't use Deku as an excuse because you have no convenience in yourself." Muttered Katsuki, "You're a fucking genius, don't sell yourself short."

Yaoyorozu started to blush at this.

"Look! Do you have a plan or not?" asked Katsuki.

"I do… how much can you control your heat?" asked Yaoyorozu.

She told him the plan.

He grinned when she was done.

"You think you can do it?" asked Yaoyorozu.

"I know I can." He said with a grin.

They worked things out when the chime that the exam was started sounded.

"All right! I'll be the distraction while you make your shit." Said Katsuki.

"Do you have to curse?" asked Yaoyorozu.

Bakugo didn't answer back which Yaoyorozu sweat drop.

They traded something, Yaoyorozu also gave him something and Katsuki took to the air.

With his ability to fly using his quirk he was acting as a target.

After about a minute he started to fall, thankfully that part of the plan. He caught himself.

"So you're using yourself as bait so Yaoyorozu could make it to the exit." He said.

"what makes you think that?" asked Katsuki sarcastically.

Aizawa narrowed his eyes at Katsuki who just smirked back.

Aizawa aimed his capture weapon at Katsuki who was ready for it and barely dodged it.

Aizawa looked at Katsuki.

"You think I didn't spend months training without a quirk?" asked Katsuki.

Aizawa didn't ask what he meant but wouldn't be surprised if the Pines encouraged it.

That was when he felt something buzz and he smirked.

"She's a lot faster than I thought." He said outload.

"What?" asked Aizawa.

That was when Katsuki grabbed a grenade form off his belt. Aizawa knew those were made from his sweat.

Katsuki set it off preparing for a regular explosion… but it wasn't that.

It was a flashbang grenade.

He realized that Yaoyorozu probably made it to look exactly like Katsuki's grenades.

Once he recovered, he quickly realized what was going on… he was acting like bait. However he did have to recover a bit as he was using his quirk when the attack happened and a side effect of his quirk is dry eye.

"I underestimated him." He thought.

Still he knew he had to find Katsuki.

After all it was part of the exam.

He managed to quickly find them. He saw that they had a catapult and what appeared to be his capture weapon.

"That's not going to work." He said.

But they launched anyways.

He was sure that whatever this plan was it wasn't going woks as he was sure that Yaoyorozu didn't know how his weapon worked.

However that was when Katsuki unleashed a power explosion and suddenly the capture weapon replica reacted in a way he didn't expect and soon he was tightly bound.

Yaoyorozu cuffed him on his. Leg and they passed the testy .

In the room that they were sing the strategize for their exam. Izuku and Shoto were coming up with a lot strategies, including a last resort plan in case things got really, really bad.

That was when they got alert that "Katsuki Bakugo and Momo Yaoyorozu has passed the exam!" was the announcement.

"Kacchan won!" he cheered.

"That's good news." Said Shoto.

In the observation room, Mabel was celebrating.

"He did grow up a lot in the past year." Said Ford, "I'm not surprised he went along with her plan."

"Isn't your exam next?" asked Dipper to Ochaco.

"You're right!" said Ochaco.

Back at the exam site they were talking about how the exam went… namely explaining the plan to Aizawa.

The capture weapon replica was made of a certain metal that would change shape when it conducts heat. Katsuki would of course act as a distraction while made the capture weapon replica and the catapult. They even traded grenades in case he managed to incapacitate Katsuki so she could activate the metal as well him having flashbangs which would useful.

As for how Katsuki knew.

"A pager?" asked Aizawa in some disbelief.

"What it makes sense." Said Katsuki.

Aizawa sighed.

Still Katsuki and Yaoyorozu passed the exam quite easily. Though it would be am much different story for Izuku and Shoto… as their exam would be something else…

Next Time: It's time for Izuku and Shoto's final! However unsurprisingly All Might severally damages Izuku's robot, however Shoto comes up with an idea to ensure that Izuku can pass the exam... it seems fine as first but something is going wrong... what will happen? Find out next time!
