After almost a month of training, Link received a call from Purah. "Link! I think I made a breakthrough!"
"A breakthrough on what?" Link asked.
"I copied the source code of Linhardt's Mini-Slate, and, hidden in the code, I found three highlighted locations!" Purah exclaimed. "I think that's where the other pieces of the code are!"
"Where are they?" Link asked, genuinely curious.
"Well, bad news, they aren't in easily accessible places like the Kakariko Village Vault," Purah said. "I'm seeing one in the Zonai labyrinth in the Akkala region. Hey, if you do decide to go there, visit Robbie's Ancient Tech Lab. He can probably hook you up with some good weapons for fighting those Blight Ganons."
"I'll keep that in mind," Link said. "Where are the others?"
"Three others. One is in the Forgotten Temple in Tanagar Canyon. Another is in the Thyphlo Ruins north of Korok Forest."
"Is that bad?" Link asked.
"I'd rather take my chances with the labyrinth," Purah said. "The Forgotten Temple is where most of the Guardians were initially found. There are still many Guardians there."
That didn't sound good. "And the Thyphlo Ruins?"
"I don't know, but I've heard it's a cursed place," Purah said. "I don't know what you might find there, but from what I do know, most people who go into the Thyphlo Forest never return."
"You said three more," Link said.
"Yes, but it's saying it's in the Shrine of Resurrection," Purah said, confused.
"That can't be right," Link said. "If it was in the Shrine, one of us would have found it."
"I don't know what to tell you. The code says it's there."
Link shrugged. "Maybe we can find out what it's meant to do later. For now, it's time we moved on."
Link gathered the Rising Sun Company, and they started making preparations to move on to Goron City. However, Flayn brought up something to Link. "I cannot go with you."
"Why not?" Link asked.
"In the Sheikah Vault, I was given a quest of my own by a Shrine Monk," she informed him. "For the moment, we must part ways."
Link frowned. "If you have a quest, you have to do it," he said. "But I can't let you go off alone. You need a team."
Flayn didn't seem comfortable with that. "Are you sure?"
"Going off alone sounds like a good way to be killed," Monica told her.
"I suppose I must volunteer," Linhardt said indifferently. "You will no doubt want the use of a teleportation rune, and I am the only one besides Link who has a Sheikah Slate."
"I'll go too," Ashe offered. "I can probably be of some use."
"I can go with ya," Cyril volunteered.
Monica raised her hand. "Why don't I come with? I can help out."
Edelgard looked at Monica oddly. "Hubert, go with them."
"With all due respect, Lady Edelgard, I am loath to let you face danger without me," Hubert protested.
"And with all due respect, Hubert, Flayn's magic is one of our best weapons against Ganon," Edelgard told him. "I want to send someone I can count on to protect her."
"As you wish, my lady," Hubert agreed.
Dimitri seemed to agree. "Dedue, I would like you to go with them as well."
Dedue nodded. "Yes, Prince Dimitri."
Lysithea shrugged. "I'll go too. Why not?"
Flayn frowned. She hadn't wanted so many people with her. But Link brought up a good point. Going alone was far too dangerous for her as she was now.
"So, I suppose this is goodbye for now?" she asked.
"I suppose it is," Link agreed. "Call me when you're ready to meet back up."
Flayn nodded. "Certainly."
With that, the Rising Sun Company divided. But without Flayn's light magic, Link worried, they might not have a way to fight the Blight Ganons.
"Change of plans," Link said. "First, we're going to the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab."
But first, Link had one more place to go. He teleported back to Vah Ruta, to find Mipha and Sidon. "I am very proud of you, Sidon," she was saying as she showed him the controls of the Divine Beast.
It took a moment for either of them to notice him. When Mipha did, she was startled. "Link! What are you doing here?"
"I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye," Link said. "I still have three more Divine Beasts to free."
"Of course," Mipha nodded. "I have one last thing to give you, Link." She held out a gold container of red energy. When Link touched it, the gold part dissolved, and the energies flowed into him. When they had finished, he felt stronger and healthier. It was the same feeling that the Spirit Orbs had given him, but increased eightfold.
"Thank you, Mipha," Link said, and Mipha smiled.
"My friend, if you ever have any need, I promise you that we will do whatever we can to assist you," Sidon promised. "When you have successfully freed all four of the Divine Beasts and are preparing to face the Calamity, do not hesitate to call on the Zora. We will be ready to give aid."
"Thank you, Sidon," Link nodded.
"Oh, by the way, there is one thing," Sidon added. "When we checked the Rutala Dam, it showed signs of sabotage. Magic had been used to weaken it."
Mipha's face clouded with rage. "Astor."
"Be careful, Link," Sidon warned him.
"I will," Link promised.
"A thousand curses on the hero!" Astor shouted. "Not only did he purge the Divine Beast Vah Ruta of Ganon's influence, but he also led the Zora to discover my sabotage of the Rutala Dam! So much effort, wasted!"
"Calm down, Astor," Master Kohga assured him. "We'll just send more assassins."
"A waste of effort," Astor told him. "The Hero and his allies will simply kill them as they have your other assassins. No, a more...personal touch is required."
