Sorry this chapter took so long. And I'm also sorry the next few chapters likely aren't going to be released in a timely manner either.

86 Days Left...

Link, Dimitri, Edelgard, Claude, Flayn, and Kass had met at a Sheikah Tower on the border of the Gerudo Desert and the mountains to the desert's north. Kass had speculated that there was a hidden Shrine nearby.

Kass had speculated the Shrine could only be revealed at a specific time of day, and there was still some time left until then. While they waited, Kass examined the Master Sword. "I never expected to see the sword that seals the darkness in person," Kass said. "I'll admit, I thought it would be bigger."

Link shrugged. "It's not."

Kass looked at the other four and examined their weapons. "These are also fine weapons."

"They are, aren't they?" Dimitri said. "Chieftain Riju recently had this spear and armor crafted by the finest smith in Gerudo Desert. I did have to make some specific requests; some suits of armor sold by Gerudo consist of greaves, bracers, and a single shoulder pad. Perhaps that works for some folk, but I prefer to have armor over my chest and back."

"Understandable," Kass said.

Dimitri held out his spear for Kass to examine. "I'm quite pleased with the spear they made for me." The spear was not wholly unlike the spears used by most Gerudo, but it had noticeable topaz crystals inlaid at the base of the spearhead. "It actually has a spell built into it that allows it to channel lightning."

"Rohan of the Gorons took its existence as a challenge, and made me an axe that he claimed would rival its quality," Edelgard said, showing Kass the battleaxe that Rohan had forged. It was a single-bladed battleaxe with a large head, with engravings and a ruby inlaid in the axe head. "It channels fire."

Flayn then showed off her staff. It was a silver staff with a sapphire at the top. "Dento made this for me. It enhances my ability to do ice magic by a significant amount."

"And Harth had to get in on the action, so he made me this," Claude said, showing off a Rito-made bow. It seemed to have small amounts of a green crystal none of them recognized beyond knowing it was most certainly not emerald inlaid in the center. "The wind effect it has isn't nearly as good as what Cyril can do, but it lets my arrows fly farther and causes them to be nearly unaffected by the wind."

"They are impressive weapons," Kass said. "Though to be remembered as part of your legend, they need names."

"I shall call mine Recompense of the Fallen," Dimitri said.

"And mine shall be known as Liberator," Edelgard said.

"Kind of pretentious, don't you think?" Claude asked the two of them. "Lucky. I'm calling my bow Lucky."

Flayn thought for several seconds. "Moarri."

Link caught the attention of the other five. "Claude? The tower's shadow is over the sensor. It's time."

"Right," Claude said, drawing an arrow and firing it at the tower. The Shrine then rose from the ground.

In Tanagar Canyon, Kronya had escorted Robbie to Dinraal's home. There, they had met with the Yiga Clan's prosthetics expert, a middle-aged woman named Usanagi. Now, Robbie and Usanagi were examining Volga's shortened limbs.

"So, do you think you can do it?" Kronya asked.

"Maybe," Usanagi said. "Could I give him new, working limbs? Certainly. But I do not know if they would last long. While I can build them well enough not to be damaged by the use of his tremendous strength, there's no way to make them transform with him when he enters his draconic form."

"If I must remain in my humanoid form to have two arms and two legs once more, I will accept that cost," Volga said. "I cannot fight as I am now."

"Is that the only reason you want a new arm and leg?" Robbie asked.

"It's the reason that matters most at the moment," Volga said. "For the first time in millennia, I have an opportunity for vengeance."

"Revenge?" Robbie asked. "If you're looking to get back at Link, I can't-"

"No, not against your hero," Volga said. "He was simply doing his duty to his people. I want vengeance against Ganon. Vengeance for what he did the Blin and Lizal peoples."

"What do you mean?" Robbie asked. "What did he do to the Blins and Lizalfos?"

"Hyrule only remembers the Blins and Lizalfos as soulless beasts, but I remember when they were people like any other," Volga said. "They were never the closest of friends with the other peoples of Hyrule, but they were people. I ran with them, I hunted with them, I protected them. But after the War Across the Ages, I could do none of those things. Ganondorf was defeated in the War Across the Ages, but he returned some time later, and he called on the Blins and Lizalfos to fight for him. When they refused, he somehow ripped their souls away from them. Do not deny me the opportunity to avenge them."

Usanagi shrugged. "I can't say I care about your crusade for vengeance, but a great warrior like yourself should not be forced to waste away like you have for so long. I will help you as best I can."

Robbie frowned. "I'll help you too, but somehow I doubt you'll be combat-ready by the battle against Calamity Ganon."

Volga snarled. "I will be combat-ready. If the healing process is your worry, Aunt Naydra is a master of healing magic."

"That's not the only problem," Robbie said. "Getting used to your new limbs might take some time, especially after spending thousands of years without them."

"You underestimate my resolve," Volga said. "My mind remembers thousands of years past. I can make my body remember how it moved thousands of years past as well."

Robbie sighed. "Well, I guess we should get started then."

"You have my thanks," Volga said. "And thank you as well, Kronya, for giving me this opportunity."

Kronya shrugged. "No need to thank me. Wasn't like it took any effort on my part."

"All the same, you have my undying gratitude," Volga said.
