Chapter 406: The Action News Team Time...

( November 2. Royal Woods Middle School. Royal Woods, Michigan.)

Lincoln comes out from Michelle's ride and he heads off to school. But before he can go inside, he is tackled by Jordan. "Oof!"

Jordan chuckles from this. "Gotcha this time. Man, you didn't even see me coming too."

Lincoln chuckles and Jordan helps him up, they share a small kiss and head inside. They don't head for their lockers, they go for a specific room which Principal Ramirez allowed some students to use.

The room is known as, The Action News Team Room!

Inside are the members: Stella, Leslie, Delilah, Jo, Zach, Liam, Rachel, Jenny and Rusty.

The group are double checking on everything that they have and make sure that nothing is wrong. Jordan then asks. "Seems like everything id alright here."

Stella then speaks. "We're all setup and ready for this, we're ready to put it into action! And no pun intended too. But the one thing we still don't have, is a big time news story."

Rusty they speaks. "That's why I should be let around to scout for the mysterious arcade room. That's something news worthy."

Rachel sighs. "Rusty, that's a myth and also, why would the school have one?"

Delilah speaks. "This is gonna be a tough one to do. The last time there was a news team here, the big scoop news they got brought in way too much attention and they got shut down."

Hearing that one puts some concerns into Stella. Lincoln then speaks. "Guys, calm down. Look, the best thing you guys can do is try and scout out anything big time news worthy, but at the same time keeping it to the rules of respecting everyone else's privacy. I know you guys can figure something out. Right Stella?"

Stella smiled hearing this and she nods. "yeah, he's right! Action News Team. We'll need to split up. Leslie and I will go and look for something big time news and the rest of you remain here and handle with everything, such as weather, sports and the whole "What's in my locker thing."

They all nod and agree to this. Time to put this team into News Action!

(Later.)

Almost half the day and we see Stella and Leslie both taking a break and leaning against the wall near a window. "Jeez. We haven't found anything that is legit worthy for Action News." groaned Leslie.

Stella sighs. "We've been at this for almost two hours and nothing. Maybe we should go back to the others and give them the bad news."

Hearing this concerns Leslie. "Are you alright? Stella?"

Stella sighs. "I don't know…. I just, I thought this News Team thing would be the major highlight for us and the others here ag Middle School. But, it doesn't seem to be working and… huh?"

Stella sees a kernel, from popcorn. "A popcorn kernel? Wait, I don't get it. The janitor cleaned this hallway an hour ago, and I don't think anyone would be roaming around here."

So, Stella and Leslie follow the trail of popcorn kernels and they see it leads to a room. "Huh, have we ever seen this door before?" asked Leslie.

Stella is now getting suspicious about this. "No, no we haven't. Something is going on here." The two girls open the door and both are surprised by what they see.

"Whoa! What the what?!"

It's an arcade room. The very same one that Rusty was looking for from the words from his cousin.

"Wait…. This whole thing…. This is real?!" asked Stella.

Leslie checks one of the games. "These games date back to the freaking 80's and 90's. This is legit and also working."

But then they hear a rustling sound and they go to some fallen arcade machines and they move aside the curtains and see who it is. "What the heck?! Meryl?!"

Indeed it is Meryl, the assistant to Principal Ramirez. She is sitting on a beanbag chair, watching TV and eating the popcorn snacks from the vending machine. "Ummmm…. This isn't what it looks like?"

Stella looks to her sternly. "Oh? Because it looks like you took all the popcorn snacks from the vending machine and used them all to watch you're fave show."

Meryl remaining silent. "Wow. You catch up fast pumpkin."

Leslie is surprised to hear this from Stella. "Wow."

Stella smirks. "Looks like we found our scoop."

"I'll say." They all see Principal Ramirez walk in. "Looks like the stories are true." She then looks to Meryl. "You and I are going to have a serious talk about taking snacks from the vending machines."

Meryl sees that she is in deep goosey trouble.

(Later.)

We now return to the Arcade Room and a lot of Middle Schoolers are here and enjoying this place. Rusty is busy calling his cousin and legit everyone is loving this.

All thanks to Leslie Silver and Stella Zhau who found this place and now students can come here every now and then. As for Meryl, she's going to have to find a new place to watch her show and also pay for the many missing Popcorn snacks which have been going around for the past two weeks.

The Action News Team have done it!

But as everyone is having fun, unbeknownst to them that Karen Houseman and her posse see this and scoff. 'A bunch of stupid idiots.' She then walks away from this with her boyfriend Puggy.

Carmelina on the other hand is amazed to know that this room is real and deep down she feels like joining but she feels nervous and decided not to and to just go with her friends.

But she does not Jo playing alongside Lincoln and the sight of this boy makes her blush and feel warm inside. 'This is kinda crazy. But he seems kinda cute.'

A/N: There we go, the secret Arcade room has been found, but it looks like someone might have a change of heart, soon. I hope that you all enjoyed this new chapter guys.
