The red-haired warrior stood there in shameful silence. Surya looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Rouge and Pyrrha have failed? What are you..."
"Guys, we don't have time to point fingers." Ren spoke up. He gestured to Aletheia, still burning and being swarmed by Grimm. "That village is under attack, and if we don't act soon, countless lives will be lost!"
"But how? Ruby's gone!" Nora cried out. "She's the only one of us skilled at saving people!"
Orville glared at Nora. "Not to mention there's the poor guys who had their legs broken thanks to her."
The Valkyrie said nothing but looked at the ground, regretting her decision.
Surya clinched his fists in rueful sorrow. "Why did I ever agree to this?!" He froze in terror, quickly speaking to himself, "This is my fault... My fault, my fault..."
Jaune turned to team SOLR's powerhouse. "Orville, how much aura do you have left?"
"Not very much. About 20% if I had to guess." He checked his aura bar on his scroll, showing him in the red at 15%. "Less than that. Fifteen actually. Even if I used my semblance to track them down, there's no way I'd be able to catch up to them in time."
"I got an idea. Do you guys have a pair of rubber gloves?"
Surya snapped out of shock and looked at Jaune like he had grown two heads. "Yes, but how does that help us stop Tyrian?"
"Simple. Ren, Orville each take one glove and link their arms with Nora, who will use her semblance High Voltage to give herself extra strength and speed to catch up to Ruby and her abductor." Orville got out a pair of blue rubber gloves and handed one to Ren. "The gloves will prevent them from being shocked by her semblance."
Orville took the glove and put it on his left arm, and linked to Nora's right. Ren put the glove on his right arm and locked to Nora's left. Nora felt electricity surge through her body and trail to her arms and legs.
"Buckle up boys, you're in for a wild ride!" The human lightning bolt turned to her former enemy. "You got anything?"
Orville closed his eyes and thought of Ruby Rose. The gold rune appeared on the underside of his right arm and he pointed. "Target locked- Ruby Rose. Heading in the north-east direction."
Nora quickly dashed off, taking Ren and Orville with her.
"Alright, that's one problem down. Now for the village. We need as many people there as possible." Jaune continued giving out orders. "Apollo, Atum, Surya, take out the Grimm. Me and Pyrrha will save the civilians."
"But what about the civilians who got their legs broken?" Atum asked. "If we leave them, they could be attacked by the Grimm. They're sitting ducks!"
"Oh right... Pyrrha, Apollo, guard the civilians and protect them in case the Grimm show up." Jaune sighed. "Looks like I'll have to save the citizens of Aletheia by myself."
"But..." Pyrrha began.
"We don't have time to argue! Let's move!"
Jaune, Surya and Atum rushed to the village to try and save civilians and do damage control. As Apollo went to where Nora's victims lied in agony, Pyrrha watched as they left and she sighed sadly.
Meanwhile, Tyrian ran with his prisoner over his shoulder. Ruby was clearly displeased with being a prisoner, and she wanted to glare at her captor. Unfortunately, from the way he carried her, it was impossible to see his face. Still, she was not going down quietly.
"You will never get away with this!"
The scorpion laughed, the camera showing a smirk on his face. "I just did."
"Orville will find you." The camera shifted back to Ruby's face. "I heard what team SOLR's huntsmen said, and they're no longer enemies with team JNPR. He will find you, and you will pay for your crimes."
"He'll never catch up." Tyrian retaliated, still smirking. "He's too weak from fighting your Little Valkyrie and tracking Pyrrha down."
Ruby looked down sadly. I'll never admit it aloud, but he's... right. This was his plan all along... He used their anger to his advantage and he isolated me from my friends on purpose!
She shook her head, refusing to give in. "Where are you taking me?"
"Oh, you'll find out."
Well, this isn't the first time I've been kidnapped. My teammates should find me eventually. A brief pause was heard before she silently added, I hope...
"Ah, perfect." The madman set his prisoner down. From his pockets, he retrieved a medallion. "Our ride should be here shortly."
Tyrian started growling and slashing a nearby tree in anger. What he was thinking that made him so mad was unknown to Ruby.
What is he doing? Ruby silently asked herself.
But before she could ponder the matter, a lone Beowolf showed up. It ran right for Ruby, only for Tyrian to dash in front her and show the medallion to a Beowolf, revealing it to be engraved with Salem's symbol. The creature bowed in respect to him. The silver-eyed warrior looked on in a medley of shock and confusion.
"Ah, perfect. Our carriage is here." Tyrian stated. Getting out some additional rope, he used it to bind Ruby to the back of one its spikes. The madman mounted himself on the creature's neck near its head. "Hyah!"
The Beowolf dashed forth, taking the treacherous madman and his prisoner with it.
Back in the forest, the tracking trio was trying to find Ruby, and fast. Nora was scared that Tyrian would get away, but she had to remind herself to focus as she zipped side to side and avoided trees in their path.
"How close are we to her?" Nora asked.
Orville looked at the invisible golden trail, which was actually blazing a bit. "We're roughly 2.3 miles from her, but her speed is increasing. Seems to be going at nearly 40 miles an hour. Maybe she's free?"
"Ruby's semblance is speed-related, but if it was her semblance, she would probably be coming towards us and she'd be a lot faster." Nora told them.
"Also her captor isn't that fast." Ren noted. He widened his eyes as he realized, "The madman's riding a Grimm!"
Orville raised an eyebrow. "Riding a Grimm? Who does that?"
"Hehe... Funny you should ask..." Nora began.
"Left! Left!"
Nora did a sharp left turn and they barely avoided hitting the row of fallen trees. She picked up the pace, thinking, I have to hurry, Ruby's counting on me!
All the while, the village was burning to the ground. As Atum, Surya and Jaune arrived at the scene, they saw the destruction happening all around them. Nevermores were using their wings to tear down the foundations some of the taller buildings. On the ground, Beowolves and Ursai were slashing on stone buildings. Creeps were shown swinging their tails to destroy homes.
Surya quickly gave his orders. "Atum, take to the skies! I'll take the low ground, and Jaune, get those legs of yours moving!"
With white aura surrounding his legs, Jaune ran off faster than he had previously been, with his thoughts running faster than he was. I've never done this before. What if I fail? He shook his head and resolved his thinking. No, Jaune! You don't have time to think about that!
He found an old man hiding in an alleyway, cowering in fear.
"Are you alright?" Jaune asked, offering his hand. "I'm here to help. If you could tell me where the nearest Grimm shelter is, I'd be more than willing to take you there."
"Thank you, young man." The man climbed on top of Jaune's shoulders, causing him to groan from the unexpected move the old man did. "The nearest shelter is that way." He pointed in the northeast direction.
As he escorted the old man to safety, Surya was shown using his wand like a sword, stabbing a Beowolf right in the chest, causing it to turn into ash. The red gem huntsman continued to do the same for the other Grimm.
Above him, Atum was shown in the sky, using a hidden blade in his crook to stab a Nevermore in the head. The giant bird started to dissipate and fell down as the huntsman put his weapons on his belt and soon jumped onto another bird, but ended up clinging onto the birds right wing instead. Atum struggled to crawl up the wing without being blown away. After a brief struggle, he managed to make it to the Nevermore's head and slashed in the head a few times. As the bird began to fade, he repeated the process with the remaining birds.
Jaune ran through the village, carrying the old man on his shoulders.
Man this guy weighs a lot. the trainee silently thought.
"There it is." The old man pointed to a large grey palace-sized building with big steel doors. Upon arriving, he climbed down and said, "Thank you young man."
Jaune smiled. "You're welcome."
As he ran off at normal speed, looking for victims to save, he ended up finding a lot of people in danger. He saw two children, a boy and a girl, an elderly couple and two adults, likely their grandparents and parents respectively, with their backs against a wall, about to be Grimm food for a few Ursi. Jaune immediately ran in front of them and beheaded the first Grimm and shielded the children from being clawed by the second one. Pushing his shield forward to knock the Ursa back, he shoved them down and soon swung his sword down on the creature's neck, beheading it.
The third Ursa attempted to get the elderly man, but Jaune dashed in front of the old man and raised his shield just in time to stop the Grimm from clawing him. He soon slayed the third one and turned to the family, all of which were scared and huddling together.
I could probably carry two or three at a time. But where I do begin? Who do I save first? Who deserves highest priority? he thought. What would Tangerine do?
An image of Tangerine standing in front of her younger sisters with her arms out appeared in Jaune's mind. The former student thought, Tangerine would try to protect the youngest ones, just like she'd protect her younger siblings.
"I'm here to help." Jaune extended his hands to the children.
"Children, come to me." The children ran to their mother's arms and she picked them up. "Take us away from here."
Jaune picked up the woman who was holding her children, letting the white aura flow through his arms to give him more strength.
"Thank you." the girl spoke.
"Wait. What about father and ma and pa?" the boy asked.
"Don't worry about us." the grandmother spoke. "We know the way."
"We'll see you there." the father told them.
"Good luck, young huntsman." the grandfather told him.
Jaune nodded and ran off taking the mother and her kids to the shelter as the rest family tried to make their way to the shelter on foot.
Back at the eastern entrance, Surya was shown throwing fire dust waves at the Beowolves, trying to keep them away from a family of four. The family fled as Surya continued to use the dust to keep them at bay. Once he was sure they were far away enough and wouldn't chase after them, he got out his wooden sword and used it in conjunction with his wand. With it, he killed two Beowolves and an Ursa until he was knocked into a wall by the tail of a creep, causing him to drop his wooden sword.
He attempted to retrieve his wooden sword, only for it to stepped on and crushed by a Beowolf. "Of course." Surya sarcastically remarked. With his dust wand still in hand, he stabbed the Beowolf in the eye, causing it to growl in pain. He soon finished off the Beowolf, only for two more to approach him. "Go ahead, make my day."
The leader of team SOLR used his wand to strike the Grimm wolves, taking them both out at the same time.
It's not like things can get any worse. Surya told himself.
Just as he had finished the Beowolves, three Ursi came up to him and struck at him with their claws from all directions. Although uninjured thanks to his aura, the pain from the claw slashes caused him to drop his weapon. An approaching Creep then stepped where it had landed, causing his wand to break and have the fire dust within it explode, hurting the Grimm and causing it to back away.
"Aw come on!" Surya exclaimed in frustration.
The other Grimm growled at him and his anger. Despite his weapons being broken, he was unafraid. Surya conjured balls of golden light in his hands and fired them at two Grimm.
Jaune, who had arrived back at the scene alone looking for victims to save, looked on in wonder. "Wow. What is that?"
"It's my semblance; Bursting Light." He fired another golden ball at the Creep who stepped on his wand. "It allows me to create a ball of light that, when correctly fired at an opponent, blinds them and in the case of Grimm, prevents them from sensing negative emotions for a time." He gestured to the Grimm, now roaming around confused.
The knight smiled in admiration. "That's really cool." He looked around in concern. "But how long does it last?"
"It varies depending on various factors, such as how much aura I use, the strength of the opponent, and how strong their will is, among other things. In this case, it should ideally be at least be a few minutes."
He looked at the ground and saw his broken weapons. "You want me to take over fighting the Grimm and you rescue the civilians?"
"Not necessary. I'll find a way to make do."
Atum landed on the ground. "That's the last of the Nevermores. Damn, there were a lot of them."
"Good, I'm gonna need your help on the ground." Surya turned to Jaune. "We'll take it from here."
Jaune nodded and ran off, this time carrying two little boys in his arms to safety. Atum looked at his team's leader, "Are you sure that he is up to the task of saving the townsfolk?"
"Honestly, I'm not sure, but we don't have time to work out a new routine." He sighed sadly. "Not with the way I froze up after learning the truth and being betrayed, and seeing Aletheia attacked! I'm supposed to be better than this!"
Atum slayed the last of the nearby Grimm that his leader had blinded. "Don't beat yourself up, Surya." He pointed to the Grimm on the horizon. "We got bigger fish to fry."
Back at the battle site, a still-masked Pyrrha stood around, not even looking at the injured victims she and Apollo were guarding. She folded her arms, trying to keep herself together as she fell apart. Tears threatened to fall and expose her for who she really was.
Apollo noticed her sulking, even though she was turned away from him. The camera shifted to him and he spoke, "Your silence could be shattered with the sound of a gong. If I may kindly ask, what's wrong?"
The gladiator girl tried to repress a sob. "This is all my fault. Every decision I've ever made, from challenging Cinder alone, to hiding myself, taking the false identity of Rouge Gorlois, going to Aquarian... has only made things worse for everyone!" She balled her hands into fists. "If it weren't for me and the people after me, Aletheia wouldn't be burning to the ground or under attack by Grimm! I should be doing something, not just standing here! But I don't even know what to do!" The tears fell as she screamed, "I don't even know who I am anymore! And it doesn't even matter who I am- Pyrrha and Rouge are both failures! Pyrrha failed to save everyone and Rouge failed to protect my true self from being exposed to her enemies! I've failed everyone counting on me and hurt them in the process! Even if I'm not the villain you thought I was, I'm no hero! I'm just a lost cause! Face it, I'm a failure!"
She sobbed, shaking less, yet still shaken to the core and broken. She put her hands to her eyes, covering her face as she knelt down and sobbed harder.
For a long moment, there was silence. Apollo winced in sympathy, but what was he to say to her?
Finally, he knelt by her and spoke, "Pyrrha- you're not a failure, nor are you a lost cause. You were expected to be the Perfect 'Invincible Girl', but now the world knows of your flaws. You're thinking too much of how the world used to see you, but is it perhaps possible that you wanted to believe the lie too?"
"Sometimes I wanted to believe it, but I always knew it wasn't true..." She looked down sadly. "And never would be."
He shifted so that he could look her in the eye and placed his right hand on her shoulder to reassure her. "You don't need to be Pyrrha Nikos the Invincible Girl or Rouge Gorlois to save the day. I believe that there's another solution, a better way." He offered his hand to her and helped her up. "If the truth you wish to cast, look back deep into the past. Before you rose to a warrior, who were you? Think carefully about what's an illusion, and what's actually true."
Pyrrha thought back to the distant past, and she remembered her mother. Her long red hair, her emerald eyes smiling at her, her white Greek styled dress, how wise she was and how she always comforted her.
A memory came back to her. Pyrrha was twelve years old, and looked different from her current self. Her hair was held in a downward ponytail, held by a black scrunchie. She wore a yellow tank top with brown knee-length shorts and black boots. She wore an emerald teardrop pendant on a silver chain and a yellow headband in her hair. She stood in a locker room with grey walls and long hall to the right.
Nearby, Phoenix stood to the side as the young Pyrrha looked at her weapon Milo and Akouo in her hands.
"Pyrrha Nikos vs Brick Bond." an announcing voice was heard from afar. "May both opponents make their way to the battlefield."
The young warrior put the weapons on her back. Phoenix smiled and asked her daughter, "Well, it looks like you're up for your first match. Are you excited?"
"Kind of. If I be truly honest..." Pyrrha hesitated to answer. "I'm scared. I mean- many of these guys have years of experience on their hands. Some even have a decade or more. What chance do I stand against them?"
"You've defeated opponents above your skill rank before. I'm sure you have you can stand toe to toe with them." Pyrrha rubbed her arm, unassured by her words. Phoenix knelt down to Pyrrha to look her daughter in the eye. "Even if you don't win, just try your best and don't give up without a fight. Ultimately, it doesn't matter whether you win or lose, we still love you either way."
Pyrrha threw her arms around her mother, and Phoenix returned the embrace.
"Thank you," The young trainee sniffed a little. "Mom..."
"You're welcome my little light. If you have to remember one thing out there, then remember who you are. You're my daughter, and you are strong." She gave her daughter a look of determination. "Now get out there and show em what you're made of!"
She smiled at her mother. "That I can do."
Younger Pyrrha smiled and left her mother behind as she walked forth to the arena. Pyrrha breathed to calm herself as she entered the arena and the scene faded to white.
As the red-haired warrior came back to reality, she looked at the burning village in the distance. The camera shifted to her eyes, showing a look of determination in them. "I know what I have to do."
Pyrrha ran off, with a worried Apollo calling after her, "Where are you going? Hurry back! Otherwise Grimm might possibly attack!"
As the village came down, Ruby was forced to watch all the destruction around her as the Beowolf ran through a crumbling and burning Aletheia. As another scream was heard from the Grimm attacking civilians, she squinted her eyes shut, unable to bear the sight.
"Oh, I can't watch!"
Tyrian smiled at her. "You really should. It's quite a sight to behold." The Beowolf they rode on clawed at a random citizen after knocking her down, striking her multiple times in the chest, leaving a bloody mess of her. The scorpion faunus laughed as he watched her die before getting him to move forward. "Well done, my pet. Now mush!"
Meanwhile, Ren, Nora and Orville ran through the burning village, trying to find Ruby.
"So... how does your semblance work?" Ren asked the huntsman.
"Blazing Trail lets me focus on any target, be it a person, object or location by channeling aura and thinking of them/it. Of course visualization helps." Orville pointed to the gold rune on his right wrist. "This rune, raidho- or traveling, appears and leads me right to them on a golden trail invisible to everyone else that blazes when I'm close to the target. The farther away the target is, the more aura it takes to keep my semblance activated and the less clear the path is."
"That would explain how you tracked us down."
"There they are!" Nora exclaimed. Nora pointed out to Tyrian and Ruby on the Beowolf, running far ahead of them.
Orville let the rune on his arm vanish as the golden blazing trail disappeared, asking, "How do we stop them?"
The Valkyrie ran closer to the beast... "Ren, fire now!"
And threw Ren forward and he leapt at the Grimm, firing StormFlower at the Beowolf to get its attention. The Beast turned to the heroes just in time for Ren to land on its head before backflipping backwards away as Orville went in for the kill, finishing the beast. As the Beowolf turned to Ash, Tyrian and Ruby fell to the ground, neither injured, but the former extremely annoyed.
"Let her go!" Orville commanded.
"I'm afraid I can't do that. One does not disappoint the Queen." Tyrian threw a smoke bomb and ran off.
"Not again!" Nora exclaimed.
"After him! He couldn't have gotten far!" Orville's voice shouted from afar.
The scorpion was shown covering Ruby's mouth as they were shown in an abandoned dance studio. Once he was sure they were far away enough, he got out some additional rope and gagged her mouth shut. The silver eyed warrior tried yelling at him, but her screams were muffled.
He found a nearby empty closet and opened the door. "Don't worry, little flower." He put her down with a smirk. "I'll be back for you once I've dealt with your friends."
Ruby shouted a muffled scream as he shut the closet door. Tyrian exited the studio and looked at his opponents with their weapons at the ready. He stealthily made his way over to Orville, trying to finish him off, but the 'Norse god' sensed his foe's presence and countered Tyrian's armblade with his own sword.
"Where have you taken her?!" Orville demanded.
Tyrian gave a smirk as he pushed the strongman back. "That is for me to know, and for you to never find out."
"You will tell us where she is, or I will break your legs!" Nora threatened.
"Hand her over." Ren stated calmly yet firmly. "It's three against one. You don't stand a chance against us."
"Oh, Ren, you underestimate me. All of you have made that mistake."
He backflipped into the air and fired at them with The Queen's Servants. Nora deflected the shot right back to Tyrian's direction, only for him to crouch down and dodge, hitting a nearby building, breaking a window.
Orville put his weapon away, looked around and tried to find Ruby, only for Tyrian to fire at him and stop him in his tracks. But before any of the shots could further weaken him, Ren put up an aura shield to stop them. Soon after, Nora went in, swinging her hammer at the traitor.
As he dodged her swings, he thought to himself, They're trying to protect the huntsman. He snickered under his breath. How ironic. Normally it would be the other way around. He soon started dodging shots from Ren's StormFlower. No matter. They will still fail.
Back in the village, Jaune held a terrified woman in his arms as he took her to the village's Grimm shelter. He saw the father and grandparents from earlier run through the doors, which helped to reassure him.
As he looked for the next person to save, he saw a flash of red out of the corner of his eye. A red-cloaked figure from afar was jumping on the rooftops.
Doesn't look fast enough to be Ruby... Is that... Pyrrha? What is she doing?
Elsewhere in Aletheia, the red-cloaked warrior jumped down from the rooftops as she looked around for something. After running and searching for a block or two, she found it- an empty ambulance. Breathing to study her focus, she activated her semblance on the ambulance and lifted it above her. With her arms in the air, she held the ambulance about fifteen feet high and started to run through the village. She made it about twenty feet before a voice called out to her.
"Pyrrha?" The ambulance fell as she tripped, but she lifted her right arm to stop it from crashing on top of Jaune. "What are you doing?"
"Saving the day, that's what I'm doing." She set the ambulance down gingerly in front of them. "And since you're here I could use your help." She pushed herself up with her arms. "I need you to keep Grimm away from me as I transport the ambulance to where Nora's victims are."
He smiled. "I got a better idea that might be quicker." Without warning, he picked her up in his arms. "Now try."
She lifted the ambulance once again, keeping it a few feet away from them. "Let's go!"
The two ran through the village, with Pyrrha using the ambulance to ram through the Grimm and clear a path as they exited the village and headed into the woods.
Back at the battlefield, Apollo was silently guarding the injured staff gang. Pyrrha set down the ambulance with her semblance and then Jaune set her down, immediately getting the archer's attention.
"Ah, you've returned from your venture into the fray." He looked at the ambulance. "But how...?"
"I got a plan." Pyrrha interrupted. "We need to get Nora's victims into the van. With my polarity, I'll carry the van with my semblance to the nearest hospital as Jaune carries me, while you use your arrows to fire at the Grimm or anyone else who tries to stop us. Are you in?" Apollo nodded in confirmation. "Good. There's no time to waste." Apollo and Pyrrha gently and carefully lifted one of the victims, a man, into the van as Jaune helped the pre-teen girl. Once they got all the victims in the ambulance, the 'archery god' shut the door as the spartan warrior turned to her knight. "Ready?" Jaune nodded and picked her up in his arms. Activating her semblance once again, she lifted the van so that it was in front of her but above them so they could see the path. "Go!"
And so, Pyrrha, Jaune and Apollo made their way through the woods. They passed through the trees, with no Grimm coming at them. Although Pyrrha wasn't even the one running, she could have sworn she felt her heart pounding. Or was it actually Jaune, who carried her and by extension, the victims to safety? She took a deep breath through her nose, trying to calm her thoughts.
So far, so good. Pyrrha thought. I really hope this works...
Soon enough, they made it out of the woods and ran down the mountain. Apollo looked around for incoming threats.
"It looks like our path is clear." the spartan warrior noted.
"Good, because the last thing we need is..." Jaune began. A screech was heard from afar. Pyrrha gasped as she looked up, seeing two Nevermores on their tail. He sighed. "I had to say something."
"Keep moving!" Pyrrha told them as they ran. "We can't afford to fail now!"
Jaune briefly looked at the gigantic birds above before turning back to the path in front of them. I know I've already used a good amount of aura, but she's right. We can't and won't fail now!
With some strain, Jaune channeled his aura to his legs and ran off even faster. Apollo fired a few electric arrows at the Grimm and raced to catch up his allies. The Nevermore was hit with the arrows and screeched in pain. The bird released some feathers from its wings, which Jaune and Pyrrha barely dodged behind them and were forced to zigzag through the fallen feathers in front of them. Apollo jumped up to the rooftops, firing from above and below to slay and hold back the Grimm chasing them.
"This is one of the craziest things I've ever done! Hopefully we can catch our breath once we've won!" Apollo shouted as he ran and fired arrows at his Grimm enemies.
Jaune raised his eyebrows in confusion. "How the heck does he manage to continue rhyming during all this chaos?"
"I have no idea." Pyrrha looked down sadly, still keeping her grip on her semblance. "I hope Ren and Nora are alright with Orville."
Behind them, a few explosions were seen as Apollo fired explosion dust arrows at Beowolves. "Hopefully they're having better luck than we are!"
Unfortunately, they were actually having worse luck than the moving trio. Ren was shown being knocked into the wall, his aura starting to break. The lotus warrior soon got up and attempted to get closer to his opponent, only for the traitor to skillfully jump out of the way.
Tyrian smirked, silently thinking, He's falling right into my trap. Just how predictable are these weaklings?
Ren put up another aura shield to take the blow. However, he was straining to keep the shield together and his arms were shown to be flickering with aura.
"Don't worry about me! I'll be fine!" Orville told them.
"Are you sure?!" Ren asked, not convinced.
"Yes!" Ren let go of the shield he conjured as Orville ordered, "We all need to focus on bringing him down! Quickly, all together now!"
The ninja fired at the traitor as Orville and Nora charged from the left and right of him, trying to catch him off guard. He quickly ducked under, using his tail to sweep Orville off his feet and trip him. He punched Nora in the gut and sent her flying as he approached the lotus warrior, firing more shots at him before swinging his right arm downward on his arm. Ren's aura broke as he was knocked into the wall and fell unconscious.
"Ren!" Nora looked at Tyrian, growling as she ran forth.
She charged herself with lightning, letting it flow through her arms and legs. She attempted to kick her opponent down, but he jumped back, swiftly dodging each move, barely dodging the lightning. Quickly dashing back to avoid being on the receiving end of her wrath, he fired a barrage of shots and in her rage, she didn't see them coming, causing her to fall to the ground as she took the hits.
Orville got up and looked in terror as Tyrian's eyes turned purple as he prepared to deliver a lethal blow to the Valkyrie. He ran towards her as Tyrian's tail come towards her...
"Nora, watch out!"
And jumped directly in her way, taking the sting for her.
"Orville!"
His golden aura began to shatter and soon broke. Tyrian kicked him into a nearby wall, and the huntsman fell down on his side, falling unconscious. A large wound on his stomach was shown, oozing out not only blood, but a purple substance as well- Tyrian's venom.
Tyrian cackled madly. "You call yourselves heroes and protectors. But who comes to help when the protector falls?"
Nora stood shaking in terror, trying to prevent herself from breaking down.
