I do not own Warhammer or Percy Jackson; I only own my OCs.
Man, this chapter was a pain to write. I mean damn this chapter just did not want to be written, could be writer's block or just the stuff that's been going down with GW I could not get this chapter pinned down. Whatever the reason this chapter will be short compared to the others and a little fast paced.
That said there is also the talk of the female primarchs and stuff. Now I'm sure you all know by now but this is a fanfic and has no effect on the canonicity of 40k. This is only done for fun. I also go by the fact that the primarchs that are female are from a universe where they were female. Meaning that the primarchs were not male then became female when they came into this universe.
Now with that little explanation out of the way let's do these guest reviews then get into the chapter.
Geemcgee (reply by Slim): So have I so have I.
Ghostly (reply by Slim): Well you're about to find out. I try to put each primarch into the world based on how they turned out and where they grew up. That's why Sanguinius is born into a wealthy family, Mortarion having daddy problems, and Horus having a "criminal" upbringing.
Mad-One (reply by Slim): As I said up above this fic is for fun and the assumptions I am writing under. I too don't care for the gender bend stories where the given character was the member of one sex then has it changed to the other. However, I don't mind it when a character is gender bent and the universe is worked to where they were born that way. I.E. Percy was born a girl and not reborn into a girl.
Somerandomperson (reply by Slim): Well at least I'm not predictable. Yeah Sanguinius is very powerful, even Russ (the anti-primarch) doubted he could beat him. I am also told that Sanguinius could have beaten Horus because Sanguinius had an ability to alter the world around him but because he saw his own death at his brother's hands that Sanguinius believed that there was no way he could win. Hell if Russ wouldn't have hesitated in killing Horus the Heresy would have ended a lot sooner.
Anyways let's get onto the chapter.
Gabriel stared down the two after the silver eyed one called out to him, mostly as he was attempting to use his abilities to discern the status of his family. Yet he found himself unable to sense anything beyond the garden with these two people in his presence. If it came down to it, he hoped that he would be able to fend them off, or a lets get past them to check on his family.
"I may have answers." Gabriel answered the silver eyed woman, he did his best to sound diplomatic. "However, given that you are here without my family to introduce you I can only assume that you let yourself in. Besides being a crime and impolite, it leaves me to wonder about the status of my family."
"Their fine." The blonde one answered for the woman, following Gabriel's diplomatic tone. "We just wanted to speak with you given that you seem so similar to one that harmed one of my little sister's followers. If all goes well no one gets hurt and everyone walks out of here without any injuries."
"Let's not waste our time with-" The silver eyed woman hurried before being interrupted by the blond one.
"Come on sis, he's being polite. The least we can do is be polite in return. Besides, you said it yourself he was not the one who attacked your hunters." The woman shot him a glare but remained silent. Smiling, the man turned back to Gabriel and gestured to the seat opposite of him. "May we?"
The up- coming Primarch looked to the chair for a moment before nodding. The man walked forward and sat down in the chair, Gabriel following after him. The woman chose to stand to the side of the man. The man began speaking soon after.
"You see a guy about your size and a scythe attacked my sister's followers. Needless to say, he got away with one and my sister would like her back. We were hoping you would know something about it."
"It may be one of my siblings." Sanguinius reported from behind Gabriel. 'Let's try to get as much information out of them as possible.'
Gabriel mentally nodded. "I can't say that I have met anyone with a scythe but maybe if I knew more information I could be of some help. Information such as where you came across him?"
"My sister's followers discovered him in a forest in New York, after that she came across him herself in an abandoned warehouse that he was using as his home. After that he just gave us the slip, we came upon you by accident in all honesty."
"I see, however I'm afraid I can't help you seeing as I have no idea where this person is." Gabriel replied, folding his hands on the table. "I am secluded here and have little connection with the outside world; few people have come to visit me. I summarize that many people would find these," Gabriel gently flapped his wings. "unnatural and jump to unreasonable conclusions."
"Gabriel, Finn has returned, he is heading towards us." Sanguinius reported.
'Do you think he is going to walk in on us?'
Sanguinius shook his head. 'No, I have a feeling Finn will only show himself if they move to be hostile.'
"I don't believe you." The woman declared with venom in her voice.
"He's telling the truth, sister he doesn't know where this guy is." The man cut in, putting up a hand to his sister. He sighed before standing up. "Thanks for talking to us, we will see ourselves out."
The woman glared at her brother before she turned away angrily and gave a signal to the girls around them. They began to leave in the way they came, the girls sending him hateful glares as they went. In a few short minutes the group left the way they came.
The sound of a body landing on the ground behind Gabriel. He turned to see Finn stand up and approach the now empty seat across from him. His hair had darkened further and his skin had become even more pale then it had before. He also smelt like he had not bathed for weeks.
"I think you need more time in the sun." Gabriel observed with a smile.
"It's easier to hide in the shadows." Came Finn's quick reply. "Besides I came across some interesting information. Apparently, there are rumors of a senator in Texas who has a daughter who went "Missing" along with talk that a giant now lives in his mansion. I guessed that it was one or our siblings."
"I'm surprised that you came back to tell me instead of going to check it out."
"I would have, but I was chasing another lead in Canada." Finn replied. "And yes I followed it to its sources before I came back here to tell you. So, you got room for two more?"
As soon as he finished Gabriel felt the presence of two other beings like Finn. The doors the garden opened and stepped in two people walking in sync with one another. They both wore the same light blue shirt and jeans the only difference between the two was that one was female and slightly shorter than the male of the two.
""Greetings brother, we are Alpharius Omegon."" They both replied in sync with one another.
Gabriel looked over to Finn. "I guess we are going to Texas next?"
Asenath and I had finally made it to Texas. It took about the same amount of time I had calculated to reach it and a few dozen monster bodies but we had finally made it. If anything, we might have gotten here quicker if we ran, given that we could walk for days without rest was anything to go by. Once we arrived in the city our supposed sibling lived in, we began our search. Well, we started to head for the Senator's home given that Asenath already knew where it was. I also had to keep an eye on my pack brothers given that a LOT of people saw the massive wolves that traveled with us.
Somewhere bold enough to approach us and asked if they would pet my pack brothers. By now my brothers knew the drill and let the normal humans pet them without much fuss other than the occasional huff of annoyance. Some asked how Asenath, and I grew to such height. We each gave some BS response about genetics or something of the sort. Asenath also took this time to give me pointed looks, probably why she wanted to travel through the back alley to avoid attention. I was never one to sneak about so I argued against it. In the end our march to the senator's house took longer than it needed to.
When we finally arrived, we were greeted by a gated mansion. We tried to access the intercom, but no one answered. Asenath began looking around the gate looking for some way in, but I chose to take the more direct approach. Cupping my hands to my mouth and taking a deep breath I yelled.
"HEY YOU GOT SOME FELLOW PRIMARCHS OUTSIDE YOU MIGHT WANT TO LET US IN BEFORE WE LET OURSELVES IN!" birds took to the air freighted by the sound squawking as they went, neighbor's dogs started barking, and Asenath shot me a murderous look.
"What the hell are you doing?!" She demanded raising her voice but also whispering.
"Exercising the might of my vocal cords." I replied, smirking.
Before she could reply the gate began to open. I shot Asenath a toothy smile as I started to walk in, she followed soon after. We both walked up the driveway until we reached the front door, as we got close the door opened. A woman around the same height as Asenath but slightly shorter stepped out of the house. Like Asenath she too had blond hair but unlike Asenath this woman had bright sky blue eyes. She wore a loose-fitting blue shirt and dark gray pants.
She looked over to Asenath and took in her appearance then did the same for me. A pungent since fell between us as we looked at each other it was broken when our other selves appeared. Like ours her other self-appeared in full blue and golden trimmed wargear. Like Hathor the only indicator that this primarch was a woman was her long hair and feminine facial appearance. A carving of a golden eagle with its wings spread over her chest as if swooping down on its prey. There were a few symbols of the Greek omega symbol, though it was upside down, on parts of her armor. A "large" sword was sheathed to her side and like Hathor her left arm was much larger than the other but lacked the claw like fingers and ranged weapon.
"Greetings brother and sister!" The armored woman called as if she were given a grand speech. "I am Roberta Guilliman, Primarch of The Ultramarines! I welcome you to our home!"
The girl who hosted the Primarch spoke after, but in a far gentler tone. "I am Alexandra Marshall, I too welcome you to our home."
We introduced ourselves to the two and she in turn invited us into their house. Alexandra's family was out in business, so we had the house to ourselves. She took us to the living room and invited us to sit down, and so we did. The couch creaked as we sat down but held under our weight, I could only guess Alexandra's father bought reinforced furniture. I always sat on a stump or rock when I was living in the mountains and never bothered building something that could support my weight.
"It warms my heart to see Roberta's suspicions about her siblings were true." Alexandra began after we sat down. "I feared that I would be the only one in this unique situation, doomed to stay locked away for the rest of my life."
"Our other selves thought the same, it's why I have been wondering about the county trying to find any evidence of Hathor's siblings. Its how I came across Mr. Wolf Man here." Asenath replied, gesturing with her head to me.
Alexandra smiled. "Yes, I read that article some time ago. It was the first indication that Roberta's siblings were here too. I wanted to go see for myself but my father forbade me."
"Is your family due back soon?" I asked, looking around with my eyes. "I can't imagine they are going to take our appearance here well."
"The rest of my family is at a political rally. They shouldn't be back for a while." Just as she said that my ears picked up the sound of the front grate opening followed by a car entering the driveway.
I looked back to Alexandra and raised my eyebrow; I had a feeling she could hear them as well. She remained smiling and stood up.
"I will let him know you're here so that you two are here, so he doesn't overreact. My father can be very protective." Alexandra said before leaving us.
"So, what's our next move oh great master of plans?" I asked Asenath.
"We might stay here until I can find any more leads." She replied ignoring my quip. "Unless you have any leads?" I shrugged and leaned back on the couch. "With any luck we will not have to be here long."
We were brought out of musings when the door leading to the garage was kicked open with a man in his late thirties wielding a shotgun. He leveled his weapon with use when he saw us sitting on his couch, he was clearly angry about something. Unlike Alexandra this man had brown hair and green eyes, something told me that he would blame us for something.
"You!" He cried some tears building up in the corner of his eyes. "You did this to my daughter, you took away my little girl!"
"DAD STOP!" Alexandra came running up behind him.
He did not stop as he pulled the trigger on the gun. The pellets found their mark in my back but only served to damage the cough and the clothes I was wearing. The pellets didn't penetrate my skin. My pack brothers jumped up to my defense, snarling madly. I quickly called them, stopping them from charging Alexandra's father and ripping him apart.
"Sir," Asenath began standing and turning to face him. "You will find that gun has little effect against us. We have not done anything to your daughter, we are in the same boat as her. I can explain but we need you to lower your weapon. My friend's wolves may not allow you to attack us again."
My pack brothers growled to reinforce Asenath's point.
"Dad, please." Alexandra consulted. "These people are not here to hurt me."
After a moment the father lowered his gun. After that little event we all settled down and Asenath and I, more Asenath, explained what we were turning into. We explained to him that there were more like us and that our other selves wanted to find them so that we could try and figure out what happened to us. Seeing as Alexandra's father was not quite ready for his daughter to leave yet he offered us a place to stay in his house until we needed, he stressed the needed part, to leave. Asenath and I agreed seeing as we did not have any plans as to our next lead.
That was until a few days later when Alexandra received an Email from an unknown source calling themselves Alpharius Omegon. They claimed that they and two other primarchs were with them and wanted to know if she herself was a primarch. Without consulting us she replied with a picture of all of us, and soon received one such picture back. Then they wanted to know if they could meet. After some back and forth messages they agreed to come to us.
However, before they got here I took some time to go for a little walk.
Leon and Forge had been making progress, towards what neither of them could say but they were making progress. They had left the state of New York and were making their way inland towards Texas as they had reason to believe after seeing an article about a giant living in a senator's mansion. They were making good progress all things considered aside from the few dozen monsters they had to kill as they went on.
They did their best to stay out of heavily populated areas wanting to avoid as much attention as possible from both normal people and people of supernatural origin. Something they were doing well for the most part. Forge seemed to have the unstoppable need to greet everyone they came across and pet everything that might be pet-able whether it wanted it or not.
Odd green skinned women greeted and petted, odd water dwelling women greeted and petted, little humanoids with wings, greeted and petted, a woman claiming to be the mother of monsters, greeted, petted, then cut to pieces by Leon. This pattern continued to varying degrees until they came across a young girl in a silver outfit.
"You're like him!" She declared jumping down from a tree.
The two primarchs were having dinner around a fire at the time so they were a little surprised to see the girl sneak up on them without their detection. Forge put down his food and sent the girl a bright smile.
"We are like who little one?"
"Like him, you are about the same size as him! Hold on I will go get him!" She answered before dashing off into the woods before either of the two could get another word in.
They did not have to wait long as she came back practically hanging off the man's arm. The three almost recognized each other as primarchs instantly. Though one was more enthusiastic about it than the others.
"BROTHER!" Forge declared running over to the new primarch and pulling him into a death hug.
The new primarch's pain filled gasps went unheeded by Forge, even when the girl and Leon tried to pry him off the poor primarch could not stop the massive primarch from expressing his joy at meeting another one of his siblings. It took some time but Forge finally let the poor man go letting him catch his breath from his near death experience.
"I have never come that close to death." He commented as he attempted to regain his breath.
Once everyone had claimed down the two newcomers joined Forge and Leon at their camp. The new primarch introduced himself as Jack Warden, hosting the soul of Mortarion primarch of the Death Guard. The girl with him was called Naomi and she claimed to be Jack's loyal servant, a statement which Jack corrected saying she was a follower of a goddess who was now hunting him. He had accidentally drugged into becoming fanatically loyal to him when looking for information. He had been attempting to undo what he did but to no success as of late.
"I'm sure you will figure it out brother!" Forge encouraged Jack a "light" slap on the back. "But until then I'm sure your friend will be an excellent addition to our quest to find the rest of our siblings!"
"Now with more complications I fear." Jack added darkly. "Naomi is, or was the follower of a goddess and she was not too pleased with me last time we met. No doubt she is looking for me now with the intention of killing me."
Naomi replied faster than even the Primarchs could manage.
"She can try! I will give my life for you, my lord!" Naomi declared standing from her stump.
"Yes Naomi, well done." Jack replied sarcastically, petting the girl's head gently.
The sarcastic comment went right over the girl's head, and she beamed a bright smile at him while pushing her head into his hand. Leon narrowed his eyes at Jack, this level of devotion was well into the zone of fanaticism.
"Your means of interrogation could be called into question if this is the end result." Leon observed darkly looking at the girl as if he were examining an addict.
"Like I said this was unintentional, I am trying to fix it." Jack countered shooting the other Primarch a sharp glare.
"And I fear that if you do not do it soon, she will be too far gone to return to normal." Leon answered calmly but pointedly. "It might be best to put here out of her misery, though she may know it herself."
"My other self-suggested the same." Jack answered disgusted with the thought. "I may not be a saint, but I fix my own problems and I will be damned if I take the easy way out."
"Come brothers, I'm sure Jack here will fix the young lady just right!" Forge declared happily. "I can see his conviction in this, and I tell ya that when I set my mind to something you better believe I get it done! Jack will find the solution to his problem. I can promise you dat!"
Jack smirked. "Your aura is like a viral plague, changing everything it comes into contact with."
"I like to think of it as a hugging sun of hope and love!"
"I would not like to be hugged by a star if it's all the same to you." Leon added knowing that not even he could survive such close proximity to a star.
"The sun hugs our skin everyday my brother, the warmth on our skin is proof of this."
"Lord Jack is the only warmth I need." Naomi added pushing herself into Jack's side.
Jack rolled his eyes as he'd been hearing similar declarations ever since she joined him. Jack wished that fixing her was as simple as giving her an antidote to correct the feelings she was having, but at this point it was far more than that. She was psychologically attracted to him, a side product of accelerating her perception of time.
"So where are we headed?" Jack asked, trying to change the topic.
"Inland, we were hoping to come across another one of our siblings." Leon answered. "Forge came from Africa, but I was betting on the fact that more of our siblings were born on this continent before he moved to another. We can move again once we are done eating."
The other two primarchs nodded their agreement while Naomi was happy enough to hold on to Jack's arm.
Not my finest chapter I know but better something than nothing. So here is this chapter and we move onto the next one. Well see you guys next time. Be sure to throw any spare gold into the dragon editor's horde on your way out.
God Bless and let's hope GW gets their head out of their ass.
