I do not own Warhammer or Percy Jackson; I only own my OCs.
Hey guys it's been a year and some change. As to the reason behind this I wanted to finish another story that was nearing its end so and another story that seemed to have exploded has been eating up my writing time. Fear not, we are back to normal with the schedule. Anyways guest review time!
Somerandomperson (reply by Slim): Ahaha yeah the crew and I had a good laugh over that. You know does that mean that this version of Roboute is into big Eldar D*ck 0_0.
That was the only guest review. So let's get into the story!
Jack had to admit there was something pleasant about traveling with his siblings, and no it was not just because of Forge's ever so positive personality. He felt a sense of belonging, to feel like he belonged with them was a feeling he had not had in a long time. Everyone he ever came across was different from him, weaker than him, save that woman perhaps. It was a welcome change of pace to be in the company of other Primarchs.
Leon was a reserved individual who kept mostly to himself even hiding his face in a mystical shadow. Yet when roused would put his input into discussions especially when the topic was their next move. He had also met his other self-called Lion El Johnson. He too shared many of the personality traits with Leon, yet Leon seemed to be the more sociable of the two. Though that could also have meant that Leon was just more sociable from the get-go and as he became more like The Lion he became more reserved.
Forge on the other hand was… difficult. Not to say that he was a hindrance in their activities. He was simply a relentlessly positive person, always more than happy to dish out back-breaking hugs. Vulkan, Forge's other self, was a positive person but managed to keep it to himself… sometimes anyways. Vulkan could be serious if need be, Jack had yet to see Forge so much as frown.
Naomi did not seem to have a real opinion of the other two Primarchs as she was only focused on pleasing Jack as much as she could. More than once her antics led to some stares from his fellow Primarchs. With them being on the metaphorical road so often he had little time to undo the effects Naomi was… suffering from.
What monsters they came across stood little chance against the four, as they were easily dispatched with few exceptions if any. Not that it was a problem before as one of them was more than a match for your average monster. Even the larger-sized monsters stood little chance as they were easily cut down or smashed by the Primarchs' weapons of choice. They were a minor inconvenience, borderline pest at this point, hardly deserving of any note. Yet they were nothing if not persistent in their attacks.
More so to the point, the three were rather clueless as to go about locating their other siblings. As they were living on the land, they had no access to basic technologies. They were forced to make stops at local libraries if they wanted to access a computer, which in turn led to other problems.
"Sir please remain calm."
"Oh, take your time, I am not in a hurry!" Forge called back as the paramedics attempted to cut away some of the door frame.
Such as Forge getting stuck in the semi larger doors at the back entrance of the library. Each Primarch was massive in size and could not quite fit through the front door with the anti-theft devices narrowing the entrance walk area. Forge had gotten stuck trying to fit through the door. Sure enough, the black-skinned Primarch could just as easily pull himself out but not without ripping off the door frame and some of the foundation along with it.
In the end, Naomi would be the one to enter the library from then on. The rest would stand outside a nearby window as she related information to them. However, monsters tended to show up in droves whenever she used the computer or any form of electronic communications device, not that it was much of a problem. No, the true problem lies with Naomi and her less-than-stellar ability to traverse the internet. She had next to no experience with it and more times than not had to be walked through by Jack as he was the only one she listened to. In truth, Jack did not have that much experience with the internet either. They had also been kicked out of a few libraries given that the search "big man" or "big woman" on the internet did not always land them in saintly locations.
What followed afterward were some more fights, albeit quick, with some monsters followed by a stop at a fast-food joint and the setting of the sun to finish off the rest of the day. As the three Primarchs did not need to sleep as often, Jack carried Naomi on his back whenever she needed to sleep for the night. The Primarchs would continue their wandering trek through the night only stopping after hearing something non-human in the distance before they continued. They had crossed over into Mississippi by midnight, at the current pace they may be able to get into the next state in a few days. Hopefully, they would pick up some form of lead by then.
"She looks quite comfortable on your back brother." Forge observed as the three moved along.
"As I said before it is a side product of the toxin I developed, if not for it she would be attempting to kill me." Jack countered.
"That is how the best friendships start my brother, one of my best friends came to be from a fight between the two of us."
"Before or after your other self-awoke?" Leon questioned from the front of the group.
"Oh well before my brother, we had a disagreement and we traded blows, but we soon laughed it off and the rest is history." Forge declared.
"What happened to him?"
"He is living happily in the countryside with a farm, a wife, and two kids!" Forge added as a matter of fact.
Jake raised an eyebrow. "Anyways, are you two ready to deal with that woman should she come around again."
"You worry too much brother! Rest assured I will protect you from all harm!" Forge beamed at Jack.
"That's not what I asked," Jake whispered to himself.
"We will deal with problems as they arrive, as of now finding our siblings that may or may not be out there. If there are no more of our siblings on this continent, then we will move on."
"That reminds me, Forge, how did you know that there were more of us here?"
"I sensed it, my brother!"
"So there are no others like us in Africa?"
Forge paused for a moment. "…Yes?"
"...You just picked a country and went there didn't you?"
"Well, I was an orphan, my other self's soul affected my skin tone well before he woke up. Patches of my body whereas they are now and only increased in size as I got older. Many doctors believed it was a disease but could never find anything wrong with me. By age nine over half my body's skin tone was pitch black and one of my eyes had turned completely red. When I left the orphanage I soon met an older man whose own body was deformed. He showed me how to do metalwork which brought out my natural skill with the hammer as well as awakened my other half. It was he who suggested I come to the United States."
"Where is this so-called mentor?" Leon asked, sounding suspicious.
"He said he would meet me here, I am not sure where he is, but I am certain he is happy that I found my siblings!" Forge replied happily.
"You know some odd people." Jack commented.
Leon came to a halt causing the other two behind him to stop. He had sensed something. Turning to his left, Leon approached one of the trees and stopped.
"I know you are their satyr, you can come out."
For a few short moments, nothing happened then, sure enough, a female satyr poked her horned head out from behind the trees he was hiding behind. She had a sheepish expression on her face, clearly, they were not what she had expected to encounter.
"Uh, Hi my name is Searcy. I uh, you're all really big demigods."
"We are not demigods Satyr." Leon replied having been over this before. "Your sense confuses us for one. As to our size, it is a matter that is personal and shall not be indulged and we do not belong at this camp of yours."
Searcy continued to show off her shocked expression as if Leon had just answered a few questions from a script. "I, uh, you clearly have encountered another Satyr before, but maybe if-"
"Hello, goat lady!" Forge says practically appearing in front of her causing the Satyr to let out a yelp of surprise. "I would hug you but you kinda stink. Tell me, what are these demigods you seek?"
"I-I can smell demigods' presence like monsters, that's why Satyrs like me are sent to find demigods. You three smell like powerful demigods."
"So that's why we keep being attacked by these creatures," Jake commented.
"You three must be demigods as no mortal would-"
"We are not demigods, each of us has normal parents. Our forms and… smell is of happenstance. We do not belong at this camp." Leon stated as a matter of fact.
"But how can you be sure!?" Searcy countered, seemingly getting bolder. "Many demigods don't discover what they are until they start to discover their abilities! Have you ever had trouble reading or feel like you connect with a current subject far more than others!? It's very possible that one of your parents is not your bio-"
Her words were swiftly cut off when Laon's sword appeared in his hand and brought the side of the huge blade to the Satyr's throat. The sudden move caused a wave of wind to pass by the Satyr causing her to stumble and fall on their butt.
"My parents were true to each other until the end," Leon growled menacingly.
"Brother, calm yourself. I am sure she meant no insult to your parents." Forge added standing in between Leon and Satyr.
"Y-Yes yes, I didn't mean to insult them!" Searcy quickly agreed.
The other two Primarchs noted that the Lion appeared beside his other self-whispering something to Leon. The Lion's sword disappeared, causing the Satyr to breathe a sigh of relief. Leon on the other hand turned and began continuing on their path.
"Sore topic," Jake commented walking up to Forge. "I can relate."
Jake then began to follow after his fellow Primarch.
"I apologize for that on my brother's behalf." Forge said, turning to the Satyr. "We are on a mission to locate our other siblings."
"Thank you, I could help."
"I appreciate the offer but if what you say is true you have demigods to find before these monsters do. We can take care of ourselves." Forge smiled at her before turning and moving to catch up with his siblings.
"GRA!"
"And that's three to zero!" I laughed after flooring Asenath. "Wanna go next Alexandra?"
"I think I am fine watching," Alexandra replied, smiling at me.
"Oh come on, think of it as a bonding moment."
"I rather not have a bonding moment that has me on my back for most of it."
"Now you're just making it sound weird," I responded, not missing the obvious ploy to get me off the idea.
"Yes, my father is still watching after all. I would rather avoid another misunderstanding."
"You have told him that four more people like us are on their way here now, right?" Asenath asked, sitting up from the floor.
Alexandra gets a sheepish look. "I haven't brought it up just yet."
As Asenath had brought up, there were four more people who claimed to be Primarchs on their way toward us. They had managed to get Alexandra's email, which began a semi-short dialogue between them. The Primarch stated that they and two others were on their way. The odd thing was that the one Alexandra was in contact with seemed to be more than one person. Alexandra noticed subtle things in word choice that led Alexandra to believe that she was talking to two different people who were trying to give the illusion that they were one person. She eventually came out and asked if her suspicions were correct to which the person on the other side confirmed it and congratulated her for finding it out.
As it were, that was seven out of the supposed twenty Primarchs, almost half. Pretty good if we were going to start meeting each other in groups now. More than likely other Primarchs across the planet were meeting up. Won't be too long until one of us, or a few of us, were on TV. With our size and abilities, it was bound to happen. Alexandra's father being a senator only served to make it more likely to happen.
A few more days passed and Alexandra did get around to telling her father that more Primarchs were on their way here. From my enhanced hearing, I heard most of the following arguments. Halfway through Russ reasoned that Alexandra's other self took over the dispute and swiftly convinced Alexandra's father to relent. Asenath and I kept sparring with each other, there were some physical differences between the two of us. Being a guy, I was physically superior and she seemed to be used to dealing with people who were far less her equal in being. She was starting to get the idea that she could not physically overpower me and so began to use more tactics when trying to floor me.
The following day saw the long-awaited Primarchs arriving at Alexandra's home. A Large truck pulling a trailer arrived in the late afternoon. Out of the back, came our four siblings. One straight-up had angel wings, the other looked so like an emo's wet dream, and the last two were twins. The main difference between the two being one was male and the other female. The angel-winged one was the first to speak.
"Greetings… brothers and sisters. My name is Gabriel and I am bonded to Sanguinius." The now-named Gabriel greeted as his other self-manifested beside him who nodded his greetings.
"Just call me Finn, Konrad Curze is the one I'm sharing a head with." The emo-looking one greeted, his other self-did appearing behind him as if in a shadow.
""We are Alpharius Omegon."" The twins said in unison, their other selves did not show themselves.
We in turn, intrude ourselves.
"I'm Marrok Russ. Doesn't roll off the tongue just right but it's where I find myself. I'm bonded with Leman Russ." I turned to the greeting Leman appearing beside me.
"Asenath, I got Hathor Lupercal stuck in my head." Asenath introduced herself as Hathor appeared beside her.
"You make it seem as if I am a parasite," Hathor commented lightly.
"It's nice to meet you all, I am Alexandra Marshall. I am partnered with Roberta Guilliman." Alexandra greeted in a very proper tone; she did a little bow as well. Guilliman appeared beside her as well. " you all must be hungry after your ride here-"
'Probably not, we can go months without food.' I noted to myself
"My mother has prepared some food for us."
"We would be delighted to accept," Gabriel answered smiling.
So, it was there that we entered Alexandra's home where we quickly seated at a large table with chairs made to fit us semi-comfortably. The food was upper class, not something I was used to but Alexandra and Gabriel seemed to be right at home with the dishes. I found myself sneaking food to my pack brothers more times than not. Only Finn seemed to have noticed but he did not make any move to show any reaction to it.
It was rather nice to be able to sit down with my so-called siblings in Primarch bonds. Once again Gabriel and Alexandra talked the most. While the rest of us chimed in when the conversation needed our input. However, Asenath was notably more talkative. Not as much as the last two but still she seemed to be surprised at herself for her talkativeness. It was probably around five O 'clock when we moved away from the dining table to the living room. It was then the conversation took on a more planning note.
"As of now we are six of twenty-" Asenath observed standing at the fireplace while the rest of us were sitting or standing around the living room.
"There are Seven of us," I added.
"We have been counting the twins as one," Gabriel informed me.
"As I was saying we are six of twenty, with the possibility of others like us not on this continent, I believe the time is now that we begin expanding our search beyond the Americas. Europe seems the best choice for our next search."
"That may not be true," Gabriel informed the group. "Before we came here my home was infiltrated by a man and woman of strange energies along with a bunch of young girls who all wore silver uniforms."
'Them again.' I said to myself.
'We were bound to meet each other again.' Russ amused. 'I suspect our next meeting will not be so friendly.'
"She spoke of a scythe-wielding man who, according to her, kidnaped one of her followers. I am led to believe that there is at least one other Primarch on this content. I would suggest we find them before this woman does."
"Agreed," Finn murmured.
The rest of us nodded in agreement soon after.
"Then let's start with what we know." Asenath went on. "We can assume that his other self has awakened and has begun searching for us themselves. It's also possible that they have encountered others as we have. Our best way of finding them would be to get some idea of where they have been."
"We can begin searching on the internet for any sightings," Omegon suggested his sister picking up right after him.
"It should not take long if they are moving in numbers. So much information on display these days."
"Then there is this woman," Alexandra spoke up. "We don't know what she is, if not human, or perhaps something like us."
"Don't forget the monsters." Finn reminded us. "Straight out of games some of these things are, with an ability to sense us."
"Yes, I do remember having to deal with one or two winged humanoids some time ago," Alexandra recalled thoughtfully.
"Yeah, they came around often when I was living in the mountains," I added.
"Perhaps there is a connection between these monsters and this woman."
"Maybe, but she was not on friendly terms with them." I countered. "A woman very similar to what you described came into my home, hinting at some werewolf that I killed before she and her followers could. I guess I should also mention while trying to get my other self to speak with me I starved myself until I passed out. She took me to her camp and got some food for me, kinda saving my life."
"So, you owe this woman then." Finn summarized.
"Yeah, I have a feeling she is going to call in this favor if we meet again."
"A meeting that may be happening now." Gabriel grimily added. "I believe the group we both encountered has just entered the premises. As it seems that we have been followed." Gabriel observed narrowing his eyes.
"In our defense, we were all in the back of a truck." Finn countered.
"Then let us greet our guests then," Alexandra suggested.
We each moved to the sizable backyard and waited for the trespassers to arrive. Soon enough the same woman who grabbed me during my attempted spirit journey walked into the yard. She was with a guy with bright blond hair and blue eyes, he seemed to have a slight family resemblance to the woman. The rest of her followers were busy trying to remain hidden while they surrounded us. From the glance in seemingly random directions from my fellow Primarchs I summarized they noticed them too.
"I had a feeling we would meet again, boy." The woman called to me after reaching a middle point between us and the house. "And you have seemed to find more like you."
"Someone must be good at genetics because I don't sense any divinity from them." The blond guy whispered to the woman.
'Divinity? What an odd choice of words.' I thought to myself before speaking. "What can I say, I got a little lonely and wanted to find some people in similar positions. So you followed them all the way out here, clearly, you must want something."
"A male like you kidnapped one of my hunters. I wanted her back and to punish him for taking one of my hunters."
"I can tell you now, I'm not going to help you hurt any one of my siblings, even with what I owe you." I declared getting to the point of all this. "I can help you find him and sort out whatever happened between you two but I'm not going to help you hurt him.
"I see, if this were any other matter I would have respected your dedication to your siblings." The woman commented. "However, I must put my own family first. If you will not help willing, then I'm afraid we will have to use all of you as bait to draw him out. You will all surrender yourselves." The woman ordered.
I felt a strange sensation come over me. An urge began to well up in my mind to surrender but just as it came up it was squashed before I could even consider it.
'She tried to influence your mind with a magic ability.' Leman glowed in my mind. 'Make her pay for it.'
"It's going to take more than some magic trick to get into my mind lady," Finn commented coldly while looking around. "You're rather trusting of your followers, I wonder how they will hold up against us. Should we come to blows of course?"
"My hunters are more than up to the challenge boy." The woman glared back.
"Uh, sister I'm not one to doubt your girls but these guys give me weird vibes. I don't think this is a fight for your hunters to take." The blond consoled the woman.
"Don't underestimate my hunters, brother."
"Believe me, sister, I wish I was."
"Perhaps we might come to a form of compromise," Alexandra spoke up. "Clearly you came here for answers rather than to fight. We can come to an agreement, one where we can reunite with our siblings and one where you can regain your hunter. There is no need for bloodshed here."
"You see sister, we can talk this out like adults."
The woman looked at the one she called brother, then at us, then at her followers hiding around us. She clenched her fist before begrudgingly nodding her agreement. The tension in the area began to drop as the woman's hostility began to subside. The woman made a hand gesture, my eye caught some movement from the edge of my vision.
'No fight today as it would seem.' I thought to myself, Russ grunting in agreement.
Alexandra invited the two into her house to hammer out an agreement. Gabriel and Asenath joined Alexandra in the talks. The rest of us went about our own business, the twins began to search the internet for our sibling, and Finn disappeared off to some dark corner of the house, leaving me to return to my room with my pack brothers.
Well, that would have been if I had not been intercepted by one of the older members of the woman's hunters. She had brown eyes, a slightly upturned nose, copper-colored skin, and dark hair with a silver circlet braided in. While tall she was nowhere near my height. I was almost ten feet tall, and she barely came up to my chest. She also had that look in her eyes that told volumes of her opinions of me. If I had to guess she was a more elite member of the woman's hunters.
"Can I help you…" I left my question open in an attempt to get her name. Calling her "her" in my mind was getting tiresome.
"Zoë Nightshade, weth ne'er met when mine Lady had saved thee," Zoë replied in Shakespearean English.
One of my eyebrows went up at the old use of English but I chose not to comment on it. "Hm, Marrok of The Russ. My old family name doesn't seem to fit me anymore."
"Thy parents were murdered, mine sympathies." She bowed her head ever so slightly. "Though I am interested as to why thy would abandon thy family name?"
"Abandoned is a strong word. Yes, the person I was, died with my parents. You might have guessed that my appearance is anything but normal. The person I was then is different from the man you're talking to now. I still have my old name to remind me where I come from but my Surname matches what I am now."
'Fancy words.' Russ commented in a non-commending nor disapproving tone.
"I see, I knoweth of something similar."
"Lose your family too?"
"In a way. Mine forsake me."
"My sympathies."
"Appreciated but unnecessary, I have since cometh to terms with it," Zoë replied quickly. "I wanted to question thee on our quarry thus."
"I don't know anything other than we are siblings in our current predicament." I narrowed my eyes at her. "I also know it's very likely that our little agreement will only last until we find our "quarry". Then we're probably going to turn on each other."
"My Ladies will follow through on oaths made, that I can assure you boy." Zoë countered aggressively. "If thither is treachery to be doneth 'twill cometh from thee and thy siblings."
"Then we understand each other. Wonderful." I grinned. "How about we make a deal, when our cease-fire ceases to exist I won't try and kill any one of your fellow hunters. I'll even try to get my siblings to do the same. For your "ladies" kindness in saving me."
"Thy… handicap, is unnecessary. Lord Apollo may be uncertain as to our odd against thee but I knowth mine sisters. We shall overcome thee."
'Apollo, hmm.'
"That so? Then about a test." She raised an eyebrow in slight interest. "You look like you are among the best of your sisters." I then opened up my arms as if I was expecting a hug, with one hand pointed to the center of my chest. "Hit me right here, with everything you got. I won't brace myself or anything, I'll take it as if you surprised me. I bet you won't even get me to move me."
"Thou art dangerously arrogant." She replied, narrowing her eyes at me.
"No test then?" My smile got wider.
She thought it over for a minute. "If I prevail, I want to knowth exactly what thy art is."
"Hmm, and If I win. I want the same from you."
"Agreed." She answered, dropping into a combative stance.
In the next moment, she shot forward faster than any human would have been allowed to go. In the next moment, her fist hit my chest dead center. She was far stronger than any human could ever hope to be. I felt myself be pushed back from the blow. However, she did not have the strength of a Primarch. True to my words she failed to make me stumble back. Even if I was tempted to move my foot back to brace myself. Once her attack was over, Zoë stepped back in surprise, clearly expecting to have knocked me back.
"Well, well, wel-" I was interrupted as my fist caught hers, my back brothers began snarling at Zoë's surprise attack. This time there was a lot more strength behind the blow. It would seem she was holding back the first time. I smiled at her; she did not smile back. "It would seem you were holding back a bit. I told you to hit me with everything you had."
"What art thee?" She hissed at me.
"Ah ah ah, that wasn't a part of the terms," I replied smugly while waging my other hand's finger at her, causing her glare to intensify. "So let us have a nice chat about what you are."
Here we come to the end! So next story to get going is Son of Fire for those of you who read that story too!
God bless and I will get back to working on papers for class… kill me…
