Bravo Team assaults a cargo ship carrying a suspected nuclear device or nuclear material. They succeed in finding the package, but they are forced to only grab the manifest of the contents of the container before the cargo ship was sunk by MiGs.
Based on what they saw, the contents had Arabic writing on there, but where would they be delivering nuclear material to?
The answers will be revealed soon. For now, let's turn to what is happening in the Middle East.
Satellite footage shows a situation happening in the Middle East; specifically, in the recently formed Islamic Republic of Arabia, formally known as Saudi Arabia. 5 years ago, a revolution occurred in the Saudi kingdom led by a man named Yasir Al-Fulani, who shortly after became the first president of the newly formed republic. The previous Saudi Monarchs were forced to flee the country, angry that their long hold over the country had been broken. It seemed that the quality of life would improve for the people in the new republic, but some people were just not too happy. One of those people was Al-Fulani's fierce political rival, Khaled Al-Asad. During the revolution, he was more on the extremist side, sort of taking a lesson from the infamous late Osama bin Laden's playbook.
Right now, Al-Asad was leading a coup d'état against the president. His military faction, the Lion's Sword, sometimes called OpFor, had been preparing with the help of the Russian Ultranationalists, supplying them with weapons, vehicles, and equipment. They were currently in the costal city of Al Qunfudhah where President Al-Fulani was in a meeting, when one of his security team informed him that Al-Asad's forces have launched a massive attack across the country, taking large parts of it. His wife and two daughters have managed to make it out of Riyahd, the capital city, and are being taken out of the country to a small town in America called Royal Woods, Michigan. Right now, the president and his security team were in a secure location, trying to get a hold of the president's extraction team. But then suddenly, automatic fire surrounded the building they were in. In a few brief minutes, President Yasir Al-Fulani was captured.
In a secure location in America, there was a screen showing satellite footage of what was going on.
"Car is inbound," said a person monitoring a car that was approaching President Al-Fulani's location.
"Continue tracking," said the commanding officer.
The footage showed the car stopping in front of a building that the president was hiding in. Soon it showed of him being dragged out by a pair of soldiers.
"The Coup"

Al Qunfudhah, Islamic Republic of Arabia
President Yasir Al-Fulani
President of Arabia
President Al-Fulani was currently being dragged through the courtyard of the building he was hiding in by two Lion's Sword soldiers wielding AK-74 rifles. The courtyard was full of Lion's Sword soldiers wielding AK-47 and AK-74 rifles. He was being dragged towards a car that was parked in front. While he was being dragged, he heard Al-Asad's voice on a loudspeaker.
"Today, we rise again as one nation, in the face of betrayal and corruption!" Al-Asad exclaimed.
Al-Fulani got thrown into the car with his wrists tied.
"Listen to me!" Al-Fulani pleaded, but all he got was an AK stock to the face. The soldier closed the door and banged on the roof to tell the driver to start driving. He saw a Lion's Sword soldier with a balaclava driving and a man in a blue tracksuit wielding a Mini-Uzi submachine gun. The tracksuit man looked at the now deposed president with a look that said, "Don't try anything" with him holding out his Mini-Uzi. Al-Fulani got the message. As they drove through the street, he could see the soldiers of the Lion's Sword begin to either massacre or arrest civilians who were loyal to Al-Fulani.
"We all trusted this man to deliver our great nation into an era of prosperity," Al-Asad continued his speech on the radio, "But like our monarchy before the Revolution, he has been colluding with the West with only self-interest at heart!"
The man in the track suit answered his ringing phone, and Al-Fulani heard him speaking in Russian. The man looked back at Al-Fulani and then finished his phone call. They continued through the city, and it does not look good. It seemed that some soldiers of the Arabian army held out and try to fight back, but they were outnumbered. Some civilians tried to take up arms against the Lion's Sword soldiers, but they too were gunned down.
"Collusion breeds slavery! And we will not be enslaved!"
They turn down an alley. Al-Fulani could see Mi-24 Hind helicopters overhead flying towards some sort of objective. They were serious about taking over the country, like they were following Osama bin Laden's agenda of a Western-free Middle East. They drove past a man painting graffiti on a wall before fleeing at the sight of the car, a man getting a way from a dog over a fence, and a man hiding in a dumpster.
"The time has come to show our true strength. They underestimate our resolve. Let us show that we do not fear them. As one people, we shall free our brethren from the yoke of foreign oppression!"
They turned left down a street next to the coast. Al-Fulani could see a pair of MiG-29s fly by. He saw up ahead some Lion's Sword soldiers executing surrendering civilians and Arabian army soldiers against a wall.
"Our armies our strong and our cause is just."
An Mi-8 Hip helicopter lands flanked by a pair of Hinds next to a few T-72 tanks.
"As I speak, our armies are nearing their objectives, by which we will restore the independence of a once great nation."
They stop in front of a stadium where a bunch of Lion's Sword soldiers are firing their rifles into the air in triumph.
"Our noble crusade has begun."
Al-Fulani is dragged out of the car, where a barking dog is being held back by his handler, while another soldier hits Al-Fulani with his boot making him black out. He's being dragged into the stadium fading in and out of consciousness. He sees the middle of the stadium where a bloody post is standing. He is then brought to a man in a military style trench coat with his left arm missing, who Al-Fulani immediately recognizes; Imran Zakhaev. Al-Fulani then looks to another man, who is wearing a black coat with red cloud swirls. His dark purple eyes and red hair were as noticable as the purple swirling eyes, but what was most noticeable was his headband with a metal plate on his forehead that had the symbol of the Village Hidden in the Rain slashed across it. This was Nagato "Pain" Uzumaki, leader of the Akatsuki, a terrorist organization trying to find all of the jinchuriki, the holders of the tailed chakra demon beasts, and use their power to take over not just the Elemental Nations, but the rest of the world.
Al-Fulani is then tied to the post as he heard Al-Asad say to a TV camera, "Just as they lay waste to our country, we shall lay waste to theirs."
He hears the Lion's Sword soldiers chanting for Al-Asad, screaming for the death of the deposed president. He then saw the man himself, in his attire, red beret, and dark shades. Al-Asad walks towards Zakhaev where he points his Desert Eagle at him, before flipping it around and offering it up to him. He takes it up with pleasure.
"This is how it begins," Al-Asad spoke to the camera. Al-Fulani knew what was going to happen.
"Farah, Parvana, Amani, I'm sorry. I hope you will be safe," he said a quick prayer to his wife and two daughters respectively, knowing that he was never going to see his family again, and that he hoped they would be safe in that small town Royal Woods in America.
Khaled Al-Asad walked up to Yasir Al-Fulani, held the Desert Eagle at his head point blank, and pulled down the hammer.
*BANG*
That does it. Khaled Al-Asad has ousted Yasir Al-Fulani and has plunged the Islamic Republic of Arabia into civil war.
Yeah, you read that right. I basically turned Saudi Arabia into a republic. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare didn't exactly explain what country was being invaded, and the CoD fandom wiki site said most of the USMC missions took place in Saudi Arabia, so I chose to make the invaded country Saudi Arabia, or as it is called in this story, the Islamic Republic of Arabia, or if you want to make it short Arabia. I know it is unlikely in our real world that Saudi Arabia will ever be a democracy considering that the House of Saud hold absolute power over the country and have a number of human rights abuses, but eventually they'll be gone, or at least be forced to give up some of their power. And if there's anyone from Saudi Arabia reading this fanfiction and you don't like it, well sue me.
For Khaled Al-Asad's forces, instead of calling it the OpFor as it's called in the game, I chose to call it the Lion's Sword based upon their coat of arms and their flag, and also because in Modern Warfare (2019), Al-Asad's name is sort of translated as "The Immortal Lion." So I decided to go with that. Also, I know that most of the OpFor's equipment like AK-47s, T-72s, BMP-2s, Mi-8 helicopters, and Mig-29 fighter jets are not used in the Saudi Arabian military. I want to keep in mind that Khaled Al-Asad is being supported and supplied by the Ultranationalists to divert attention away from the 2nd Russian Civil War.
And as for the Akatsuki, yeah I have them working with Al-Asad and Imran Zakhaev. Based what read on the Naruto wiki, that's what the Akatsuki's goal is; to collect the power of the tailed beasts and use them to take over the world. Like I said earlier, I'm about halfway through watching Naruto on Netflix, and I'm not a huge Naruto fanatic like some other people are, so I might get some stuff wrong lore wise.
But anyways that'll wrap it up for this chapter. Let me know what you guys think, and see if you can guess the Easter Egg that I placed in this chapter.
Next time:
"No way!"
"It can't be that loser!"
"Naruto!"
"No way, what the fuck are you doing here?"
