"David, how nice to see you."

Daniel unclipped his seat belt as he rocketed up to land an uppercut on David's chin that should have knocked him flat.

David barely moved.

Daniel's smile faltered a bit.

He reached back inside the car for the shotgun clipped between the seats.

David grabbed his neck and wrenched him away with supernatural ease.

Something was not right here at all.

Daniel landed another punch that snapped David's face to the side, but the grip on his neck was like a vice.

He was starting to see stars and his vision was blurring.

David did not release him, dragging him further into the road.

Daniel lost the battle with consciousness.
