It's been a while, so here I am. Actually again managing to post on the anniversary of the original posting date. XD I hope you enjoy this latest offering. I'm eager to get some projects written and off the ground. This still might be sporadic whilst I'm still job hunting, but I should have some drabbles written at the very least. Let me know if you have any word requests and I'll give them a go. This one was randomly chosen through a prompt generator. Enjoy. :) - Laura
Bullet
The smoking, freshly fired pistol gripped in her shaking grasp, Kirsty watched with wary intent as her Cenobite lover stepped forth from the dark corner of the living room, a ghost of a smirk twitching the corners of his pale mouth.
She unleashed a sigh of relief, but stifled a gasp when her eyes swept his form. She had shot at him. That much was certain. The twisted, flattened caps that were once bullets embedded in his chest were evidence of that.
"I'm impressed." the Cenobite murmured, gazing upon his pupil and consort with a lopsided smile of approval and amusement.
The Prince glanced down and studied the ammunition that Kirsty had unloaded on him with unswerving patience and indifference. He plucked one of the flattened cartridges. He stared at the twisted piece of smouldering metal between his fingers, and did something that both bewildered and frustrated his human lover simultaneously...he rammed it through his earlobe and let it dangle, like an earring. Then he swept his hand across his chest, brushing the other crushed cartridges to the floor. They all fell with a collective metal clank, as he steadily walked towards an irritated and slightly concerned Kirsty.
"Fuck, did you have to do that? Sneaking around in the shadows like that? After what happened the other night?" She placed her gun on the mantelpiece as Xipe drew closer.
"Thus why I wished to check on you, my love." the Prince crooned, now stood toe to toe with Kirsty and gazing down at the startled woman. "You need not be worried. Those who foolishly intended to intrude on your home and rob you of your possessions are with me now. They suffer well." He reached over and brushed the backs of his fingers along her cheek and the line of her jaw.
He could sense that her adrenaline and paranoia levels were still at an unnatural high; not surprising, since her apartment had been broken into not too long ago as she'd slept, and had woken to see four shadowed individuals looming above her. No wonder she had taken to using her weapon to defend herself at first glance of his silhouette. Of course, this was Kirsty Cotton...rather than choose flight, she chose fight. This didn't surprise him in the slightest.
Her heartbeat was beginning to slow to a normal rhythm as her hand gently took his, and her eyes lowered downwards, taking a quick glance at his chest. There were a few dints in the leather. That was all. She tentatively reached over and touched where the bullets had hit. All she could feel was lean muscle, the swell of his pectoris, and the slick leather of his uniform. She licked her lips as she unconsciously swept her hand along the contours of his firm and broad chest.
He chuckled, sensing her mounting arousal. He couldn't hide the sardonic smirk pulling at his lips as she finally tore her ever-growing lustful gaze from his chest, and looked up into his half-lidded midnight eyes.
"Well it's a damn good job you're bullet-proof."
This one was actually inspired by a moment included in the original 1989 script for Hellraiser III, as it goes. Not too sure if any one of you have read it, but I'm really glad it was never made. Anyway, there was this moment where a cop comes face-to-face with the Unbound-Pinhead of this version, who happens to be like over seven feet tall for some bizarre reason, and decides to shoot at him, where the Cenobite looks down coolly and then uses one of the flattened bullets as an earring. It was actually quite a badass moment. Of course, we did get a bullet immunity scene for HR3, but slightly different. I always wanted for a scene like this to happen, with Pinhead being bullet-proof, so I took the chance to write about it. Hope you liked. :)
