"...Ha. Ha ha ha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! So... This is... where I die... huh, Being X?"

"So, you still refuse to recognize me as God?"

"Of course NOT! Why should I believe in someone like you?! Even if we ARE winning the war?!"

"And what makes you think The Empire will win?"

"I'm dying, aren't I? You have no right to curse this nation any more. *scoff* Assuming you really are the Just being they think you are!"

"... Very well. I shall not subject this nation to ruin because of you."

"Don't say that like I was begging you! *cough* So, what's next? Might as well drag me down to Hell right now, I'm NOT going to acknowledge you as a God."

"After everything you've done, you deserve worse than Hell. But know that you will be sent to the deepest and darkest pit of Hell."

"Hah... Sounds lovely. But, Being X, can I say something first?"

"Hmmm? A last minute change of heart?"

"You wish, you bastard! No, what I want to say is this; Don't think your work is done. This world. This, Multiverse even, is huge! Do you honestly think I'm the only one like me out there?! Mark my words, Being X. Somewhere out there, there's going to be at least ONE more person who thinks like me! In other words, you lose in the long run!"

"... Is that all you have to say?"

"*Cough* Y-Yes..."

"Very well. Eternal torment is all that awaits you now."

"Bring it..."

[Present day. Beacon academy]

After a long day, the newly formed Team RWBY enters their new dorm for the first time. Having taken out both a Nevermore and a Death Stalker (well, it was Team JNPR who killed the Death Stalker, but Team RWBY did help.) and sitting through a ceremony at the end, the girls wanted nothing more than to fall in bed. Ruby Rose was the most tired, not just physically, but emotionally as well. Somehow, despite thinking any one else on her team would be a better choice, she was the one chosen to lead the team (it's even named after her!). Yes, she is beyond ecstatic about it, but it's a huge responsibility.

"Hey, sis?"

"Yeah, Yang?"

"Don't worry about this too much. I know you'll be a great leader! You guys think so too, right?"

Weiss just went to bed in response. "Hmph."

"... You think so too, right, Blake?"

"...Honestly, I think it's too early for me to decide that," she dropped her bag next to her bed, "but Ruby does have a lot of potential, the fight earlier today proved as much. So I'm going to be optimistic about it."

Yang smiled. "See? I told you so."

"What about Weiss?"

"Ehh. Majority vote. But on that note, don't let our opinions stop you from doing your best sis. Just stay confident in yourself and you can do anything you put your mind to. Just take it from me, your big sis."

Ruby smiled. "Thank you, Yang."

"Any time."

As the sisters were about to hug each other, Blake chimed in. "Hey, uh. Sorry if I'm ruining the mood. But shouldn't we get to bed now?"

Ruby and Yang turned to the clock and realized what time it was. "OH MY GOSH, YOU'RE RIGHT!" Ruby panicked. "Ok. As the leader of this team, I order both of you to head to bed!"

Silence washed over the room, until Yang and Blake chucked, leaving Ruby as red as a rose.

"You know, sis? A simple good night is all you need to say."

"I-I-I-I KNOW! Just... getting into character, is all."

Blake smirked as she sat on her bed. "I like you guys. Anyway, Good night you two."

"Night Blake. Night Yang."

"Good night, ladies!" As Yang was about to go to her bed, she stopped. "Hmm..."

"Yang? Are you good?" Hearing the voice of her little sister, Yang snapped out of it.

"Oh. Yeah, I'm good. Just get to bed."

"If you say so."

Thinking everything is fine, Ruby falls asleep, or rather, she passes out from all the exhaustion she was feeling.

But even after saying that, Yang couldn't shake something from her mind.

"I feel like I'm forgetting something. But I guess it can wait until morning. I feel like it's very important though..."

Not wanting to stress herself out, Yang decides to just go to bed. They have classes tomorrow and she does NOT want to sleep in on the first day.

[Later that night]

It was around 3 AM. Team Ruby were sleeping soundly, some dreaming of the fun the could have come in the morning. Ruby and Yang already had an Idea on what to do, and they were sure Blake would be fond of it as well.

However... That fun might not come.

"zzz... zzz... zzz- Ghmm?! Ah... AH... ACHOO!"

[7:30 AM]

It was now 7:30. The sun is still rising, and what little sun was already in the sky produced minimal light. Team RWBY was still peacefully fast asleep, some more than others, as their bodies were getting ready to embrace the day. Just around 30 more minutes should do it. 30 more minutes of nice, relaxing-

*FWEEEEEEEEEEET!*

"Rise and shine, maggots!"

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

Blake, Yang, and Weiss jolted awake by the sound of a very loud whistle.

"What the hell was that?!" said a very annoyed Blake.

"Who blows a whistle at this hour?! It's not even 8 o'clock yet!" Weiss was still kind of bitter from yesterday's disappointment, and this did not make it any better.

Yang groaned. "Ok. What's the big idea you little sh- ?!" Yang looked in front of her, hoping to find out who blew the whistle.

And what she saw sent a bone rattling chill down her spine. "Uh oh... THAT'S what I forgot to mention!"

Blake and Weiss were still rubbing their ears from the pain, so they didn't see who Yang was looking at, leaving the two of them even more confused.

"Y-Yang..." Weiss began to lift her head up. "What are you... talking... about...?"

Hearing Weiss trail off, Blake looked up, shifting to match her teammates' lines of sight. When she did, she saw... their leader?

"Ruby...?"

Ruby was sitting on a chair with her feet on a small disk, her uniform crisp and already on. There was a whistle hanging from her neck, making it clear that it was Ruby who blew the whistle. But the weirdest thing was Ruby's eyes. Her eyes were still their distinctive silver color, but they seemed... oddly cold. Like the brisk chill of midwinter in Atlas.

And in the middle of that cold...

Madness.

Unbridled.

Unhinged.

Unfettered.

Madness.

Finally, Ruby decided to respond. But something was clearly off about her. "Good. You guys actually woke up. I was worried I'd have to get a louder one." In contrast to her normal child-like cheery voice, Ruby's voice now sounded cold and mature, like a military officer commanding their troops. "Now then, ladies. I believe we have classes to prepare for, right? So get off your lazy asses, and get ready."

"Huh? Where do you get off-"

*FWEEEEEEET*

"GHAAAA!"

"Did I stutter, Princess? I said, "GET READY!" Ruby(?) turns to Blake, still staring at Ruby. "Something on my face?"

"?!" Blake didn't know why. But she didn't want to make Ruby angry (or any more angry then she already was.) "N-NOTHING! MA'AM! ...Wait, huh?"

"Thought so."

After not saying anything. Yang finally speaks up, to explain what's going on. "Hey? Weiss? Blake? It's best that you just do what she says without question. You don't know what she can do to people when she gets mad enough."

"How would you know?! What's wrong with her?!"

"... Ruby has this... condition. When she was 5 years old, Ruby developed a split personality. Unlike the sweet girl who loves cookies, this one is cold and... controlling, to put it lightly. But the biggest difference between them? *Gulp* This Ruby is also very freakishly sadistic. Borderline psychopathic at times. She won't hesitate to use violence if she feels like it."

Blake and Weiss couldn't believe what they were hearing. If it wasn't for the pain they were feeling at that very moment, they would've thought it was all a dream. But unfortunately, this 'Nightmare' was very real.

"In order to differentiate the two of them, we decided to give the other personality her own name. So, for all intents and purposes, the person we're talking to isn't 'Ruby' anymore."

'Ruby' Smirked. "You can stop explaining sis. Since you two will continue to ask, I'll just say what you want to know." She did a little curtsy and spoke in what should be a cutesy child-like voice. Only unlike Ruby's voice, this one didn't feel warm. This one was just... creepy. "Name's Tanya Rose! Get ready, because I'M your new leader!"
