Chapter 4: War

War was mostly quick and easy for a large, in this case, Empire of Uzu no Kuni and Uzushiokagure no Sato. Multiple villages,small cities were made on the islands and spreaded themselves that most didn't think such large samurai and Shinobi armies could come from there.

Naruto had pretty finished his campaign if it can be considered a campaign. The endless waves of jutsus and barriers that blocked while absorbing chakra to power more of the Shinobi was making Né commander's weary but they were broken and conditioned but they knew when they were beaten.

As the campaign ended with Danzo's escape rather than death, Naruto had summoned Tsunade seemingly out of nowhere. There was multiple plans that have returned to fruition. The plans to restore Konoha back to where it was before Orochimaru's invasion.

Orochimaru and Kusa forces retreated and fell back to their lands like scattered corpses.

Sasuke had nearly killed Akira had Naruto not intervened. Sasuke had nearly lost his arm and made him retreat with the sound four.

Tsunade was made the new fifth Hokage replacing Danzo from the history records.

Naruto hated war but was glad it was only a few days. Death and destruction wasn't his forte and he left immediately.

As he was coming out of the tent he stretched as he sensed some familiar faces coming towards him. "Naruto!"

"Naruto!"

He saw Kiba,Shino,Ino,Choji and Shikamaru heading for him. He had Shigure in his left hand. "Hey guys…"

"Wow it's amazing our blond knucklehead was actually now a Kage…" Kiba started with a laugh but deep down he hated it cause it's once more blocking him from Hinata.

"Kiba!" Shikamaru only sighed as Ino was scolding the Inuzuka. "Anyway what is the plan now?"

"Your clans will either still be in the capital or welcome to come back to Konoha…" Naruto said seriously, going into Kage mode. He didn't really keep track but most of the Konoha clans have spread themselves out from Danzo's reach. The Hyuuga clan have taken refuge in the capital,the Inuzuka clan was still in Konoha. The Nara clan was heading back according to his intelligence. Their brother and sister clans of Yanamaka and Akimichi were heading back as well to Konoha.

Three or more clans were returning as well. Naruto however had ordered a full withdrawal of forces. He really needed to show the other Major villages that he wasn't planning on occupying Konoha. It would disrupt the status quo. It would also make other villages weary that he would invade them since he had also Samurai forces under his control. The Famous Himura clan was famous for their Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū. The samurai clan protected the Daimyō of Uzu no Kuni and was side by side with a number of other clans. The Makoto Clan for Hi no Kuni for example rivaled the clan in speed.

Naruto had moved rations to be quickly restored back onto wagons as they were ready to also raid more of Otokagure and Kusagakure no Sato so that they would subsequently be vassals to Konoha as soon as Tsunade established power.

-Land of Moon-

"Why are we here again?"

"We are investigating something you dummy…"

"Oh come on, I didn't leave Mizu no Kuni for this…isn't this something that the Vice-Captain of the Royal guard be overqualified for?"

"Oh shut up, Kaito…you do know that we need a treaty and one of the elders, Soujiro-sama, asked me to bring an escort. "

-Konoha- two days later-

"You want me to do what?!" Naruto asked the elders of Konoha,Koharu Utatane, Homura Mitocado and the council of Shinobi clan heads in front of him.

"By the approval of their clan heads and father's, we want you to marry Hinata and Ino as soon as possible to establish more ties with Konoha as well as their clans. It would help Konoha to establish ties with your village. You have more sub-villages than us…it would help in the long run if we have a ally like Uzu no Kuni to Hi no Kuni so we can restore ourselves together with Hi no Kuni Daimyō. We want to resolve ourselves from any military actions mostly since they were only approved by Danzo.

Naruto didn't know what to say at this point. He highly doubted anyone would object but the fact the matter is, wouldn't someone object within the Rookie nine.

He could see Tsunade and had gotten close to her. Naruto then turned to the clan monarchs and nodded.

In a reluctance that was faster than expected. Ino and Hinata's agreement surprised him. Ino was especially because forehead was not around and she was ahead of her in gaining such a sexy partner. Hinata also just had a crush on him so as soon as they returned to Uzu with the Yanamaka clan then there was a wedding. Naruto still had mixed feelings. It all became a blur that he was hesitant seeing as his feelings for Sakura-chan was bubbling to the surface which he wasn't fond of.

Naruto's forces raided mostly everything connected to Danzo and killed any other person as they needed to find evidence of his crimes. It would show that Konoha wasn't responsible and only this would cause Konoha to be able to get a better reputation since Danzo wouldn't represent all of konoha's views.

-Back in Uzushiogakure- same time

"Why you! Get back here!"

"What is happening?!"

Multiple explosions happened with boom after boom as well as civilians muttering as some just got out of the way. "I was killing time teaching the academy students that you would forgive me! Sorry! Now stop already!"

"You two stop destroying everything!" An angry Kaori, the last four guardian member said. She was tall and red hair along with a curvy body and had armor on her shoulder down to her medium chest.

"What are you talking about?! He started it by dying my hair!" Izuna said as he was shirtless and his hair was pink along with his upper shoulders wearing kimono pants. He had his sword with him trying to hack and slash at Rokuro who was laughing his ass off while dodging expertly.

This was followed by multiple explosions. "Are they at it again?" A villager shouted questioning what the next issue was about.

"Wonder what's their argument now?" The elder on top of the building looked on as he was ready to jumped down and hit them for disturbing,destroying and being annoying to the other villagers including himself.

Sakura, who was in the hospital, heard multiple explosions and then ran to the window while the hospital staff was ignoring it. "Aren't those explosions?"

"It's fine Sakura-San…its just our guardians,it's not like there's intruders because your headband would glow and there would be more ANBU around. Because of the chakra seals that we issue to our merchants and traders as well as ANBU are watching. Also those two are our strongest swordsmen. They quarrel every now and then and don't worry, most of the kids know Shushin to get out of the way. Also Genin sorta have a protocol to keep children and villages out of the way.

Sakura-chan then heard a loud."Get back here!" This was followed by slashes of a blade from the sounds of it as she heard trees fall. The clanging was from the other sword which was trying to defend.

A older teen Rokuro was running past the hospital and trying to find shelter.

It was then a black haired female appeared and used two large swords pummels to hit him on the head. "Stop goofing around…"

"Benio?" She was sighing as he saw her turn her blade to the flat sides and sent him flying.

Sakura looked in complete confusion as the boy by the feet was taken away.

Sakura looked at the hospital staff and smiled. "They have been that way since we were reunited by Naruto-sama. They also are dating so don't worry about it. Do you know our history, Sakura-chan?"

"No I don't actually, the Uzumaki clan seemed to have appeared from extinction…"

"Yes the branch families have indeed returned because we were using forbidden jutsus like the blood clone which is required of almost half of our chakra reserves and then some soul fragments. One of our ancestors thought of a jutsu that could even make a deal with the Shinigami himself who usually laughs as he cuts with his blade to those souls. We scattered after that and when Naruto-sama had found our old compound underneath after Iwa,Kiri and Kumo invaded us during the war. All they found was blood clones but we caused so many casualties that they are still scared to come here…because of that fear…"

"Kira…you know that you shouldn't be saying anything about our history to a new outsider…especially to…-"

"Enough Kazuya, she's a old friend of the Uzushiokage…Naruto-Kun trusts her to start helping out at the hospital so she's become family…she is also being watched by ANBU…"

"I am?"

Kira nodded pointing to the trees and mountains around the hospital. "Hospitals are mostly how multiple spies tend to come and you only have been here a week, you think all of uzushio will trust you…we learned our lesson but Naruto-Kun asked us to make you feel welcome so they are also here to protect you. Uzumaki clan members tend to not really like Konoha since you guys have abandoned us but we are only being stubborn…"

"Enough already we have to get back to work and tend to the "unfortunate" that were caught up in their squabble!" Kazuya said he looked to be a doctor and a Shinobi. "Most of the hospital staff are former Shinobi and also some just have experienced on the battlefield of samurai wars as well."

The world being tripled the amount of population included the following years of developing countries and their samurai armies. This also included Shinobi armies. Some countries had ten thousands while the greater nations had over two hundred thousand. The millions were in the samurai armies because of the insane number of places that needed protecting. Uzu no Kuni had rebuilt itself into their empire. Hi no Kuni and the other four great nations developed as well but only Hi no Kuni had declined because former Hokage Danzo had stirred trouble with warlords and other lands constantly attacking fortresses. The Hi no Kuni Daimyō had declared their independence from Associating with Konoha as a result which resulted in a decline in konoha's economy and even caused an increase of civil wars and clan conflicts along with clan defections.

With multiple islands in control of Uzu no Kuni made their own declaration of their Daimyō into an Emperor. This made six great nations transform into empires as the elemental powers declared Elemental empires and made their Daimyōs into Emperors. There was a shogunate that reported to the emperor. The shoguns were chakra powerhouses that were as skilled as a Shinobi's Kage.

This settled the finances for a Shinobi village to become powerhouses of their own to make sub-villages. As their villages grew, it made things easier to establish more training academies for their Shinobi and missions can be more successful if multiple villages connected to their respective great main village.

The system was developed so that missions can be given and requested in a ranking system. While it was also helpful to have multiple smaller Shinobi villages be closer to fortresses along with other nations so there are easier travel costs and more efficient succession planning as there's more Shinobi to take those missions in profit for their village.

-Meanwhile in a undisclosed location-

"Why'd you think the Uzushiokage also sent us here?" A Jounin captain was asking his commander. There was a total battalion worth of Shinobi around them with over a hundred ANBU Shinobi who were watching the shadows in case the frontal forces was wiped out. There was about five hundred Jounin,special,tracking Jounin, specialist Jounin and elite Jounin were and Chuunin that assisted the troops. It was a exploratory Shinobi force to scout where Sora no Kuni was last reported because Konoha had destroyed them.

"He heard a rumor that the revival of Sora no Kuni is near and we should either help them and annex them to be part of us or destroy them before they start trouble for everyone else."

-Another location- Border of Kaze no Kuni and Tsuchi no Kuni

Ten thousand to a couple hundred thousand armored samurai on horseback were charging at each other along with Ashigaru foot soldiers with katanas or Naginata blades. There was something about the way samurai fought that was different from Shinobi and that was on horseback along with close formations of armored Ashigaru soldiers. The Kaze no Kuni Samurai was igniting their blades with Wind chakra enhanced blades. The blades were sending blades of Wind chakra while the samurai of Tsuchi no Kuni were igniting their blades and stabbing the ground to raise walls of earth. This blocked the incoming fast arrows that were enhanced with Wind chakra. It was repelled by arrows enhanced with earth chakra to make it harder and thicker causing more damage as the Kaze no Kuni and Tsuchi no Kuni symbol and insignia were on the banners on their backs.

The Kaze no Kuni then ignited their cannons and repeated crossbows with arrows and fast cannons. For the Tsuchi no Kuni samurai army, the Ashigaru loaded earth cannonballs that were glowing with fire chakra to be like lava and trying to hit Kaze no Kuni border fortress. The fortress was one of over a thousand that served the Emperor of Kaze no Kuni. These fortresses were three stories tall with high walls and cannons. Thousands of these cannons opened fire to hold against the incoming trebuchet ammunition.

The whirlwind trebuchet used a single vertical pole which could be rotated 360 degrees for increased versatility at the cost of projectile strength. The four footed trebuchets were essentially the same as the previous Warring States samurai during the clan war weapons, differentiated from the whirlwinds by specifying its stability and larger size. During the old clan wars between Shinobi there were also clan wars of the samurai warriors that used chakra to the extreme. Killing thousands in just a single swing of their blades.

The Kaze no Kuni fortress was throwing fast boulders in rapid succession and earth walls made from chakra were enhanced and increased to fix defense against enemy forces.

It was typical of local Daimyō serving the emperor of the elemental Empires to be ambitious and this was one reason that Shinobi was used and that was monitoring the situation and movements of other Daimyō. ANBU of the Sunakagure were watching along with elite Jounin that the Kazekage had sent. There was a Shinobi from the capital of Kaze no Kuni that was sent to hire Suna Shinobi.

They were also tasked to keep Iwa Shinobi from interfering with the battle. This was handled mostly by the samurai commanders and generals on the ground and not the Shinobi deployed without their knowledge. As most people within the world, the emperor's court of both Empires were closely monitoring the situation by reports and radios. Both sides were using either elite Jounin or ANBU shinobi.

There was also the amount of samurai that continued to clash upon their horses. The Shinobi were getting bored but these were the jobs that were the most valuable in income to their villages and sub villages. Sub-villages to the main capital Shinobi villages gotten mostly B-A rank mission numbering in the hundreds while A-S or SS Black op missions belongs to the main capital villages. Thousands of Shinobi also just plainly escorted traders and smiths as well as castle builders to border patrol to other villages. It was a system that benefited everyone.

With over a billion or more people in the world. Wars regarded thousands of lives for samurai warriors and clan leaders as well as thousands of warlords and Daimyō used those elite soldiers and foot soldiers to achieve their ambitions or protect their lands. Shinobi provided scouts and other ways of sabotage.

I tried my best for the samurai part, I've been having a lot of samurai on the brain. I've tried all I can to make a good fanfic but I am not that good at grammar so spare me those reviews.
