70. Redeeming School Bullies

Transformers Prime: A New Adventure.

Chapter 70: Redeeming School Bullies.

The next day after the events of Speed Metal, everyone in the Autobot base was waiting for the human and techno-organic troops to arrive from school and work.

Winston may have had a hard time sleeping for a minute or two, but he managed to get to sleep nevertheless.

At Jasper High School earlier that day, Winston says to Jack's incoming question, "I remember everything, Jack. And it's a good thing, too; I'd rather not have to learn about the Transformers a second time."

Jack states, "Anyway, I'm not the only one to know about the Autobots."

Winston briefly narrows his eyes as he asks, "Let me guess: Miko, Raf, Angelica, Vince, and even your parents know about them too?"

Jack replies back, "Yes. And you should consider yourself fortunate that Onorato, Carver, and Edward don't go to this school; otherwise, they'd literally break rules to make sure you suffered the consequences for tormenting anyone, whether they're friends with anyone else in the school or not."

Winston winces as he replies, "Huh, yeah, you're right. I'm getting to class. See you later."

Winston goes into the school.

Jack then looks back at Arcee as she says, "Good hunting in class, Jack."

Jack nods before going in.

Arcee looked around and saw nobody paying attention, so she activated her holoform and drove back to base.

After the humans returned to base, Ratchet notices Winston with them and he says, "I thought you were joking, Optimus."

Fortressimus points out, "You of all bots knows that Optimus doesn't joke about something as serious as humans discovering our existence as well as being a schoolyard bully."

Optimus knelt to the kids' level and says, "Winston."

Winston replies, "Never thought I'd say this, but it's good to see you again after just a day."

After further explanations about the Transformers, Miko questions, "So, who will be Winston's guardian?"

Everyone was quiet before their gazes went to Ackas Pax, and Winston immediately objected, "NO!"

Forcescream and Ackas put their feet down, making Winston realize that whether or not he objected wouldn't make a difference; he'd still get an Autobot guardian whether or not it would've been Optimus Prime's mother.

In no time that night and throughout the weekend, Winston got along well with most of the Autobots and most of the other humans, but some others are going to take some time.

Fortressimus remarks in his thoughts, "And thus begins the Predatory episode and the debut of Airachnid. Well, I hope that we'll be able to deal with her when the time is right."
