Transformers Prime: A New Adventure.
Chapter 52: Optimus Prime's Lost Son.
In the city of Denver, Colorado, a man by the name of Calrin Gammons is working hard in his auto repair shop working on his latest car for a customer.
Calrin Gammons really loved his job as an auto repair shop worker. He could easily fix a car's flat tires or shot transmissions in no time flat, as well as using a big team to repair a demolished car either forcefully disassembled or blown to bits by an RPG, a jet/helicopter missile, or a simple car bomb.
But what he doesn't know is that he's actually one of Optimus Prime's lost children, Brightgaze.
And what he also doesn't know is that his Cybertronian form was desperately trying to reach the surface, but his human memories keep halting that progress.
Later, as Calrin was walking home, the Decepticon Generals appear out of nowhere and aim their guns at Calrin while Speedgazer remarks coldly, "Going somewhere, Brightgaze?"
Calrin asks incredulously and scaredly at the same time, "Brightgaze?! Who's Brightgaze?!"
Streetroar answers, "You are!"
At that, Calrin's memories as Brightgaze were instantaneously awakened, and in an instant, his human form sheds and gives way to his Cybertronian form, which looks like a green, orange, white, and gray version of Optimus Prime in the current Transformers universe combined with the Generation 1 Optimus Prime and the War for Cybertron Optimus Prime.
Brightgaze remarks as he brings out his rapid-fire Ion Blasters, "Oh, yes, it's good to be back! Rragh!"
Brightgaze opens fire and the Decepticon Generals manage to dodge the Energon bolts and metal bullets.
In the Autobot base, Optimus feels a tug in his spark.
At first, he was curious, but after feeling a slightly harder tug, Optimus immediately realized what this meant: his youngest son Brightgaze was still alive.
Optimus rushed to the Space Bridge and the other Autobots rushed after him, curious as to what's going on.
Optimus states, "My youngest son Brightgaze is alive, and is engaged in combat with the 20 Decepticon generals in an abandoned suburban town in Denver, Colorado."
Optimus' other children were shocked, as was Ratchet, having been close to Optimus' children as sort of an uncle figure.
Optimus then says, "Arcee, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper, Tailgate, Shadowguard, Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Skyquake, Dreadwing, Dirge, Ramjet, Thrust, Sunstorm, Hotlink, Bitstream, Acid Storm, Ion Storm, Nova Storm, Kingclaw, Stakeface, Blightvibe, Cutgrin, Magnaburst, Steellock, Motorcircuit, Bulkstreak, Photoncycle, Fierycharger, Bulksight, Megacircuit, Galvacircuit, Aquascrap, Gloomsling, Wreckglide, Timesphere, Stormryder, Moonshine, Twitchback, Kickstart, Galaxystreak, Moontrain, Countergrabber, Solarstorm, Redstar, Steelstrike, Supernova, Killshot, Harvester, Trax, Spraydown, Dirtdigger, Plow, Rancor, Whiplash, Tankover, Spikeload, Windraise, Nightdesire, Gravityjumper, Reza, Rainplay, Black Dancer, Bright Hawk, Black Protector, Dark Moreau, Dark Blitz, Dark Griffin, Platinum Glider, Gypsy Rider, Gold Blade, Aqua Beam, Thorn Arrow, Sky Missile, Mom, Dad, come with me to assist my youngest child, please."
Everyone chorused their agreements.
Caelum Pax states, "Don't worry, Optimus. We'll help you out to the end."
Optimus smiles a bit before Ratchet activates the Space Bridge.
Optimus states, "Autobots, transform and roll out!"
The Autobots transform to vehicle mode and they drive and fly into the portal while Kingclaw, as a Predaking lookalike, transforms to his dragon mode and he runs into the portal.
At the battle site, Brightgaze executes a jumping double roundhouse kick to Airwheels, but then, Duskgazer slams her battle hammer into Brightgaze's back, sending him flying before he lands in a triple backflip.
Brightgaze brings out his own battle hammer as he remarks, "You didn't think my Cybertronian memories wouldn't invent new battle tactics in my human form either way, did you?"
Swiftforce blasts Brightgaze from behind with an air-to-ground Energon Missile, but Brightgaze dodges out of the way.
Just then, the Autobot Space Bridge opens, and the seventy-eight Autobots emerge.
Speedgazer snarls, "Prime!"
Speedgazer charges towards Optimus, but Brightgaze, Caelum, Ackas, Galaxystreak, Black Dancer, Moontrain, Solarstorm, Countergrabber, Reza, Rainplay, and Gravityjumper undecuple team him while the other Autobots deal with the other Decepticon generals.
After about five minutes of intense fighting, the Decepticon generals retreated back to the Nemesis, now realizing that even despite their skills and even despite being formidable combatants, the Autobots' now superior numbers combined with their own formidable combatants in the ranks among other things could've resulted in all 20 of them being destroyed.
Optimus approaches Brightgaze and questions, "Brightgaze?"
Brightgaze approaches his father and hugs him.
Optimus hugs him back, tears of Energon spilling out of his optics.
Bulkhead whispers to everyone else, "(Softly) I know this is a first, but I'd never seen Optimus cry before."
Arcee replies in a whisper as Optimus' other relatives also hug Brightgaze, "(Softly) Yeah, same here, and most Primes are never built to shed lubricant."
In the Autobot base, Ratchet is giving Brightgaze a check up after having explained how everything happened.
Ratchet then announces, "Well, everything checks out. And your frame is not damaged, not even in the moderate sense, especially after having spent a lengthy amount of time battling the twenty Decepticon generals alone."
Brightgaze replies, "Well, it's good to hear, Ratchet."
Ratchet then advises, "Although I would strongly recommend you spend at least two Earth hours a day in the SAFE."
Brightgaze questions, "For training?"
Ratchet replies, "Yes."
Brightgaze replies back, "Got it."
Brightgaze leaves the medical bay to his quarters.
The next day, Optimus shows Brightgaze around the base.
Upon seeing the Forge of Solus Prime, Brightgaze questions, "Dad, when did you guys discover the legendary Forge?"
Optimus answers, "Six and a half months ago, give or take. We even gave a selection of our troops, myself included, some much-needed upgrades, including my secondary frame to permanently switch to in case my first frame suffers extreme damage."
Brightgaze remarks, "Fascinating."
Optimus replies, "Indeed."
In Fortressimus' quarters, he received a vision from Alpha Trion.
Fortressimus questions, "Is something terrible happening soon, Alpha Trion?"
Alpha Trion answers, "Yes. In a short time span of 4 to 7 solar cycles, an assortment of Autobot soldiers and Autobot civilians along with some humans will be captured aboard the Nemesis. You must rescue them."
Fortressimus replies before questioning, "Understood. I will notify the other Autobots. Best estimated coordinates of the Nemesis' flight pattern in that time lapse?"
Alpha Trion answers, "Latitude coordinates fifty-one-point-two three five seven seven, longitude coordinates negative two-point-zero five one four two."
Fortressimus gasps as he realizes what the coordinates are.
Alpha Trion answers the coming question, "Yes, the ghost town of Imber Village, Wiltshire in the United Kingdom."
Alpha Trion then says, "I know it is troubling, but somewhat thankfully, none of the British Army troops will be able to see the Nemesis because its cloaking will active in that time frame to avoid being detected by any British planes."
Fortressimus took a vent before saying, "I thank you for this urgent update, Alpha Trion."
Alpha Trion replies, "No thanks are necessary, young Prime. Now go. Notify the Autobots immediately."
Fortressimus nods and leaves to the command center without being in a rush, and Alpha Trion's holoform leaves to wherever he came from that even Fortressimus isn't aware of right now.
In the command center, Fortressimus spots Optimus concluding his debriefing of the transformatted humans from the Quadwal cluster, much to Brightgaze's stoic shock and flawless understanding, having been educated by Perceptor about the theory of the Multiverse.
Fortressimus states politely before saying, "Excuse me, Optimus. Sorry to interrupt, but we have an urgent matter at hand taking place in 4 to seven solar cycles."
Optimus and Brightgaze look at Fortressimus before Optimus asks, "What is happening in those solar cycles, Fortressimus?"
Fortressimus answers, "In that time frame, an assortment of Autobot soldiers and civilians along with some humans are being kidnapped by the Decepticons and the Nemesis will be hovering over the ghost town of Imber Village in Wiltshire County in the United Kingdom."
Optimus' faceplate grows determined as he says to Ratchet, who was listening on the emergency notification, "Ratchet, see if our Space Bridge can take us onto the Nemesis in that time frame."
Ratchet replies, "Understood." And he gets to work.
Fortressimus then says, "Oh, and the Nemesis' cloaking will be active in that time frame to avoid detection by the British military, but I have a work-around on that."
Optimus replies, "Explain."
Fortressimus states, "Simply put, we use whatever spare parts the American soldiers provided us and the Forge of Solus Prime to forge a cloaking jammer retrofitted for getting past the cloaking shields of Decepticon ships no matter how highly or lowly advanced their cloaking technologies are."
Ratchet says as he pauses his work, "It sounds like an excellent idea."
So, with Solus Prime's help, the cloaking jammer was forged and the Autobots now had to wait until the time was right.
The End.
