A/N: Please read this note, would you kindly? Its terrible important.
First, consider this a teaser for a plot bunny that was offered to me. That's all I'm going to say.
Second, I'm afraid I have a bit of bad news for you all.
You see, I'm about to take on a LOT more work at my job, so daily updates might become a bit more...difficult, in the future. Need to pay bills, keep the lights on, food on the table for the family and whatnot On the plus side! This means that the chapters I DO post will be much longer. We're talking thousands of words. I know you've all been missing the longer chpates.
Third! Killing Monsters needs a bit more time in the oven,
As does Taking Flight, One Helluva Team, and of course, Just A Bit of Bread.
...there's a pun to be had there.
As ever, I own no references, quotes, memes or themes. Not a wit or a one!
Hopes this brightens your day as it did mine; we could all use a little light in these crazy times.
Oh! And to clarify. Naruto's long hair in this little fragment strongly resembles Jiraiya's. Wanted to avoid confusion...
"Awwww! My little Blake is all grown up!"
"Daaaaaaaaad!"
~?
Proud Papa
There is one sound all mean fear.
It is the sound of a Father cocking their shotgun with murderous intent.
To be fair, Sun Wukong didn't know the sound very well; if only because he'd never heard it before. Oh, he'd had many a one-night stand in Vacuo, and even Mistral, but never anything more than that. Passing encounters in the night; never enough to be invited to dinner, never to meet the parents, never around to actually leave a meaningful impact on any of his given partner at the time.
You see, he'd never been in love before.
But then came Vale, and with it, Blake. Say what you would about Sun, but when he was loyal, he was LOYAL. He'd fallen for her. Fallen hard, as he'd never fallen for anyone before. He liked to think Blake felt the same after all they'd been through; he certainly hoped so, otherwise this was going to be a very short, very messy dinner.
'Alright. Play it cool.' he marshaled his faltering courage. 'You just walked in the door. No way is he gonna shoot you...
The shotgun took aim at his chest.
Haaaaaalp~!
"Dad, no!" Blake thrust herself between the two of them before he could pull the trigger. "You promised to behave!"
"He's got aura. He'll live."
Sun whimpered.
Blake's father was a great bear of a man with a strong jawline; bearing blue eyes, whiskered cheeks, and a rough mane of spiky blond hair that tumbled past his shoulders. It made him look like some feral beast, not the Leader of the White Fang and Monarch of Menagerie. This was the man wanted and feared by all of Remnant, a God worshiped by many a Faunus.
There was a reason their kingdom existed at all; thanks to this man.
And yet for all his presence, Sun couldn't help but notice that he didn't look a thing like Blake. Odd. Sure, they shared whiskered cheeks an' all, but that was about it. She must've gotten the rest of her good looks from Miss Belladona. Gotta be. Something told her she wouldn't be half as terrifying as the blond behemoth before him.
A blond brow arched at him. "Is that so?"
Sun gulped and backed up. "I said that out loud, didn't I?"
Blake buried her head in both hands. "Sun, I love you, but why do you do this to me?!"
"So! Think you're good enough for my little girl, do you?" Naruto smiled then. It was not a pleasant smile. Alright, monkey boy. Sit down. Lets talk. Kali's gone out for groceries, but in the meantime," the gun swung up and collapsed into a black ringed staff on his back. Oooh, Mechachift. "We've got some time." He could respect that, even moreso the weapon. "C'mon, I won't bite." he patted the seat beside him. "Where are you from?"
Sun didn't budge. Bastard probably booby-trapped the chair.
"Um...sir? You weren't really going to shoot me back there...were you?"
"Maybe," Naruto's smile didn't relent. "Blake asked me to be nice. Would you rather I call Kurama?"
Sun tugged at his collar. "Kurama?"
"Daaaaaad, stop." Blake made a keening noise through her teeth. Please. You're embarrassing me!"
"Then I'm doing something right." the terrorist tittered. "Now, Sun, was it? Tell me how you met my daughter...
A/N: And there we go. Like I said, a teaser of something a friend asked me to write.

"Push!"
Blake crushed his hand.
He nearly blacked out on the spot.
"This is your fault." she hissed. "You did this to me."
"So? How do I look?"
Coco quirked a brow. "Solid eight."
"Only eight?"Naruto reappeared in a plume of smoke, startling her. "I though that was at least a nine."
...any chance you could change back?" she gulped. "I want to things to that ass...terrible things...
"COCO!" Velvet latched onto the blond's arm. "Stop lewding my boyfriend!"
"So!" Naruto slung an arm around Jax's shoulders. "This Crown business. You and your sister all about mind control, right?"
Gillian shrank back a step. "Yes...?"
Naruto smiled. "Ever thought about using it for pranks?"
"As if we would do such a thing!"
"Not really giving you two a choice in the matter. Y'see, you two work for me now...
R&R~!
