Off To Tahiti Part 1
Anne was walking down the hall with the Pussycats, showing them to their rooms for the night just before dinner in the downstairs restaurant where James worked part time.
"Lucky for you guys, we have plenty of guest rooms." Anne said.
"Excellent, we need a place to rewind." Melody said with a giggle.
"You mean unwind, Melody." Josie corrected.
"Oh, that's what I meant." Melody said.
The group walked by Alan's room, Tom, while wearing a mask, was inside helping his ill brother gather his things.
"Hey, guys, how's it going?" Anne asked.
"We're nearly done." Tom answered Anne.
"I've already gotten my clothes packed, now I'm just getting some medicine to take along." Alan said to Anne.
"That's nice, Joe, hope you're better soon." Alan M. said.
"Thanks, Marco, I'm getting there." Alan said.
"Can we get to our rooms already? I'd like to change my clothes." Alexandra complained.
"All right, all right! Geez, how crabby can you get?" Anne asked Alexandra.
"You don't know my sister the way I know her, Orange Citrus," Alexander said to Anne, calling her by his own special nickname for her. "Alexandra can be very crabby!"
After passing Henry's room, the group came up to six empty doors.
"Here we are, let's see, Alexandra and that snickering hyena she calls a cat can have the first room, Alexander can have the next one, Melody can have the one after that, Valerie can have the one after that, then Josie can have the next one, and Marco can have the last one." Anne said.
"Sounds groovy." Alexander said to Anne.
"Yeah, thanks, Jojo." Alan M. said to Anne.
"Yeah, thanks." Melody said to Anne.
"Not so fast! I want a room closer to Alan, there's a room at the end right next to his, I'll take it." Alexandra said.
"Uh, you don't want that room, it does have a bed in it, but Big Twin Bro uses it as a workshop." Anne warned Alexandra.
"He's sick, remember? He won't be using it any time soon." Alexandra protested to Anne.
"Yeah, but there are no blinds or curtains in the window." Anne warned Alexandra.
"Curtains, schmurtains. I'll take it." Alexandra told Anne.
Anne just shrugged her shoulders, "Okay, just don't blame me for not warning you." she told Alexandra.
Anne went to her bedroom to change for dinner at the downstairs restaurant while the Pussycat crew changed for dinner in their bedrooms.
Alexandra tried to change in private but she couldn't because a streetlight was shining brightly in her face and there was nothing in the window to block it.
"Ooh! Me and my big mouth." Alexandra complained.
Sebastian was sleeping on a pillow under a desk, hearing Alexandra's complaint, he snickered as she continued trying to dress.
"Oh, pipe down, you black and white hyena!" Alexandra snapped.
At the downstairs restaurant that night at dinner, the Chan family and the Pussycats were dining.
When the restaurant's manager, Sebastian Carlton walked up to the Chan family's table.
"Mister Carlton, is there a problem?" Charlie asked.
"I'm afraid so, Mister Chan, you see, I'm rather concerned about the revenue for the restaurant because, well, folks just aren't coming." Sebastian answered.
"Why is that?" Charlie asked Sebastian.
"I don't know how else to say this, but they've gotten bored with the Chan Clan band, no offense, your children are indeed very talented musicians, but now and then, everyone gets tired of listening to the same person or group, they want something new." Sebastian answered Charlie.
Flip swallowed the bite of the mashed potatoes and gravy that he ordered with his porkchops before he spoke.
"Hey, that's no big d, you heard of Josie and the Pussycats, haven't you? Why don't we have those girls playing some of their songs on the stage?" Flip suggested.
"Yeah," Scooter agreed. "Big Sister Josie is one of the greatest!"
"Boys! Not while our guests are dining! They shouldn't be performing when they are eating a meal!" Rosa scolded Flip and Scooter sharply.
