Hello, everybody and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distance Ship"! In the last chapter, May faced off against Timmy Grimm (aka The Phantom) in the Verdanturf Contest, and managed to win her second ribbon! Now Ash and friends are back on the road to Petalburg City. And a lot of things will happen, covering three episodes! What exactly will happen, and how will it affect our heroes? Well, let's find out!

Hey, Misty. We have just had a crazy day on the road to Petalburg City. We stopped by this big city with a town infested with Gulpin. We ended up helping drive the Pokémon out of town with the help of this scientist and my Treecko growing to a giant size… yeah, it sounds crazy, I know. But the road to get to there was a lot less crazy, but still very eventful. After leaving Verdanturf Town, we stopped by a town in drought (someone was stealing the water from the residents. Three guesses who), where Brock's Lotad ended up evolving into a Lombre. Both of Brock's water Pokémon helped a wild Solrock bring rain to the village. A while after we left the village May encountered an injured Swablu before nursing it back to health all by herself. When it came time to bring Swablu back into the wild, it was too afraid to fly by itself as we had to teach it how to fly again. It took a little bit of work, but we ended up getting it done, with Swablu even playing a role in our near daily encounters with them. We eventually found Swablu's flock where May had a touching goodbye with the Pokemon she helped out… I still think it would have been a good Pokemon for her to have on her team, though… Anyways, we should be arriving in Petalburg City for my fifth gym battle in a few days, so I will talk to you then.

Hey there, Ash. That is a lot of stuff you and your friends have gone through recently. I looked up what a Lombre looks like, and I believe Togetic thinks it looks funny. I kind of agree with it, but if Brock is happy with his newly evolved Pokemon… I guess it works out for him. I think that May did the right thing by releasing Swablu back into the wild to be with its flock, even if she built a bond with it through healing it all by herself. Brock did something similar twice, once while we were both there and the other time right before Dewford Island. (And coincidentally both Pokemon also started with the letter "S".) And as for what happened with Treecko, yeah, I guess that does sound crazy. I wouldn't believe it if I heard that happened. Anyways, I have the highlights for my battle in the email. Have a safe journey to Petalburg City!
