Previously on Power Rangers Wild Fury, the Rangers attempted to destroy Cuborg once and for all, only to discovery he was the legendary evil Cubalian known as Centitrax the Destroyer, kept alive through his Eternity Heart. Later, as they finally defeated Archris, they learned he was nothing but a pawn for Centitrax's master, the infamous Empress Floriana, who had been hiding as Ignoblia in plain sight. Now, having taken the Black Cosmic Fury Ranger Javier Garcia hostage, and with Jeremy knocked into a coma due to backlash from using the Whale Morpher, the Rangers have little choice but to wait for Floriana to make her next move.

In the ruins of the Arrowhead where she had made her base, Floriana had called upon the mercenary robot known as Scrozzle to build a machine. "How much longer, Robot?", Floriana asked impatiently. "I have somewhere to be soon."

"Hold your horses, it'll just be a few more seconds.", Scrozzle grumbled, as he plugged two loose wires into the machine, before closing the hatch. "There, it should work as you wanted it to. But you may need to run some tests."

"That's easy enough.", Floriana stated as she flicked a switch, showing a struggling silhouette behind a screen. "I've taken the Liberty of bringing along a captive audience." She then went and pressed a button on the machine, causing a beam to be fired at the hostage, causing him to freeze in place, with the silhouette becoming thicker in certain areas. "It works."

"I told you it would.", Scrozzle said arrogantly. "Now then, I believe you were supposed to pay me?"

"Ah yes.", Floriana laughed. "I did promise to give you a reward." She then formed some of her vines into a spike, which she used to puncture Scrozzle's chest. "I know that you've abandoned and betrayed everyone you've ever worked with, Scrozzle. So I'm taking no chances." She then used the vines making up her other arm to crush his head, before reforming her arms and letting the body go limp. She then walked over to Centitrax. "Ready to watch me change the world?"

Centitrax suddenly gasped, before looking at Floriana in confusion. "Who are you?", he said, angrily. He then pinned her against the wall. "Where's Jonas?"

"'Jonas'?", Floriana questioned, confused. "Centitrax, it is I. Your empress, Floriana."

Centitrax clutched his head, letting go of Floriana in the process, before staggering out of the lair. "Where am I?", he questioned. "Where's Archris? Keldor? Mantack?"

After he'd left, Floriana realised what had happened. "It seems that Morphin Grid energy works to charge the Eternity Heart's revival powers. But as an artefact of darkness, the energy is interfering with the process, resulting in damage to Centitrax's memories. Who knows how long he'll be able to revive before he becomes irreparably damaged. But that'll have to wait." She took out her other DNA cloak, shifting into her disguise as Florence Primavera. "I have somewhere to be. And so do the Rangers."

And speaking of the Rangers, Johnny and Luke had received letters that intrigued them. "We're invited as guests fo honour for Mayor Primavera's inauguration this afternoon?", Johnny read out, confused. "That's odd."

"I know.", Trunks commented. "You'd think I'd be the important guest of honour, given how I was Flo's inspiration for her mayoral campaign. But I don't mind, it gives me more time to work."

"Time to work on what?", Grandma Rose asked. "Something Ranger related?"

"Exactly.", Trunks nodded. "I've been analysing as much data as I can collect on the Whale Morpher. The main drawback is that Johnny is the only one among us who can use its power safely. As Jeremy could attest if he wakes up."

Metal Alice looked up from tending to the unconscious bird Animan. "There's still little change.", she reported.

"So my plan is to build a replica version that removes that limitation.", Trunks continued. "Especially if my hypothesis on how to deal with Centitrax is correct."

"Hypothesis?", Tora asked, before realising something. "You think that the Whale Morpher might be the key to destroying Centitrax for good."

"Right.", Trunks nodded. "Jonas defeated Centitrax with its power in the past and Jeremy was able to use it to temporarily stop Cuborg before. So if we can focus and hit his Eternity Heart with a blast from it while he's in pieces, then that should be the end of him."

"And then all we have to deal with is Floriana and whatever she wants with Javi.", Marina chimed in.

"That's all well and good.", Luke said. "But Johnny, Grandma and I have an appointment at city hall in an hour, so you'll have to work on it without us. Good luck." As he stood up, he felt something like a headache, an image forming in his eye, one too indistinct to properly make out. Though he was sure it was familiar. But it passed quickly, so Luke ended up dismissing it.

"Yeah, I'll have to join then.", Johnny added as he also stood up. "Let me know how it's going when you get back." He then left the room, along with Rose.

This left the 4 Animen alone. "So, what's your progress on your copy of the Whale Morpher?", Lenny asked.

"I think I've got a working prototype made.", Trunks answered. "We just have to test it."

Out in the city, Centitrax stood on top of a building, held back by the pain in his mind. "These images…!", he growled. "What are they?"

He saw a memory of himself emerging from a slab to see a silver and gold figure standing over him. "Ah, you're awake.", the figure stated. "Good."

"Query!", was his response. "What is this location and my designation?"

"You are my robotic servant, Cuborg.", the figure answered him. "I am Archris, and you stand on my ship, the Arrowhead." The figure of Archris then flickered with that of the plant lady he'd seen earlier, as they said "You work for me now. I hope you can agree to follow orders." Now the figure's name was coming back to him.

"Flo-Floriana?", he blurted out. But then images of Keldor - was that the name of this silver-headed figure - appeared mentioning that Floriana was dead. "How? How?", Centitrax asked. He then began generating energy from his mouth. "If I can't know who I am, then I'll just tear this whole planet apart." He fired a beam of dark energy that ravaged a good chunk of the town. He then took a whiff of something. "I know that scent. The odious stench of… Animen."

Back at the zoo house, the 4 Animen had got dressed and were using the mayoral inauguration ceremony to practice with their replica Whale Morpher. "So we've got an hour and a half to finish this practice while the ceremony's ongoing.", Marina surmised. "Luckily for us that the Mayor sent out invites to everyone."

"Yeah.", Lenny noted, thinking about how strange it was. "So how are we doing this?"

"Just take the cannon and fire at the targets.", Trunks answered. "Do what Johnny normally does when fighting the Hunters."

"Right.", Tora nodded as she morphed, pointing the weapon at a target, unfolding it and then pumping the handle three times. "Super Primal Blow!" She was blown back a few feet, as the beam bounced around, before lightly singeing the target. "I think it could do with a little more fine-tuning."

"On the contrary, it's working great.", Trunks informed her. "The energy runoff will be far less once you've actually morphed, so it shouldn't have the same kick you just experienced. And you should probably think about aiming it."

Before Marina could move in to take her turn, the wall of the courtyard was smashed inwards, with Centitrax emerging. "Animan scum!", he hissed. "I will rid Cubalia of your filth."

"Good luck with that goal.", Lenny said as he moved to protect the Whale Morpher replica. "And aren't you from Cubalia as well? Wouldn't the goal of eliminating life on that world be including yourself?"

Centitrax laughed. "You already wiped out my clan, Dune Walker. What path is left for me once I complete the task beyond self-destruction."

Trunks was intrigued by this comment. "Wait, you come from a 5th clan?"

"Yes.", Centitrax growled. "My Insect Clan was deemed vermin by the 4 of your tribes and subsequently hunted to extinction. Jonas saved me and nursed me back to health, but that's driven me to a source of power I can use to take revenge!"

"Your Eternity Heart.", Marina realised. "Centitrax, I sympathise with how the other tribes treated you. In fact, my people are looked down upon in much the same way I imagine your Insect Clan were looked down upon. But that Eternity Heart isn't a good thing. It's going to erode away at you. You need to get rid of it."

"I can't.", Centitrax said, sadly. "It's become bonded to me. And that energy Floriana gave me is already doing the…" He then cried out in pain, his eyes glowing. "Destroy!"

"I guess that just took the choice away from us.", Trunks stated. "Let's Ranger up."

"Right.", the others nodded as they took out their Wild Morphers. "It's Morphin' Time!" They then selected their numbers and closed the phones. "Primal Spirits, Awaken!" They then formed the logo face. Completing the transformation. They then pulled out their weapons and ran into battle with Centitrax.

Lenny however stopped to grab the Whale Morpher copy. "We'll probably need this to defeat him."

At the town hall, as Daisy and Violet handed out chrysanthemum-like flowers for the attendees to wear around their neck, Petunia arrived to escort Johnny and Luke backstage. "If you'd please follow me, sirs.", she said as she led them on.

"Wow, getting our own personal escort for a meeting with the Mayor.", Johnny commented. "We must be important."

"Right.", Luke nodded groggily. The images in his head were striking again. Only this time, there was a voice to go with them, citing a familiar line. "You can't hide from the darkness." It wasn't just what was being said that Luke found familiar, but the voice that was saying it.

The two were led into a room that seemed sparse, the only evident feature being a tv screen and a pair of chairs. "Now then, if you'd please wait here.", Petunia insisted. The Mayor will invite you onstage shortly." As the two Rangers sat down, she closed the door and turned to two of the robots that Ignoblia had told Archris were named Sentinels. The Guardiners, as they were truly known, had been deactivated thanks to newly installed internal power sources after the control signal sent from the Arrowhead had ceased to function. "Make sure that nothing happens from these two.", she commanded before heading for the backstage.

In the audience area, Grandma Rose came across a familiar face. "Stevie dear, I didn't expect to see you here."

"Yeah, I'm not normally fond of these political things.", Stevie admitted. "But when I heard that Luke was going to get an award of some kind, then I had to drop everything to see it for myself. Don't tell him, but I might just propose after this."

The conversation was soon put on hold as the lights went out in the room and the usual "please turn off your phones and take your seats" message blared over the intercom. As everyone did so, the curtain rose, with the new Mayor Primavera stepping up and giving the usual inauguration oath, while outgoing Mayor Komura stood there and did his part.

The time soon came for Primavera's inauguration speech. "People of Savannah City. I'm sure you've come here expecting some sappy speech about how much I love this city and will strive to make it a better place." The crowd laughed at this. "I'm not joking. The truth is, I'm not really a human being, and I never have been. My credentials are all faked. My name isn't even Florence Primavera. It's Floriana." She then removed her DNA Cloak, reverting to her true form in front of the shocked crowd. Her three aides did likewise, reverting to their Bacteri forms.

From their own room, Johnny and Luke watched this with shock. "What?", Johnny gasped.

"We'd better get in there.", Luke suggested. The two stood up, opening the door to be confronted by the two Guardiners. "Ah, hello." The two robots moved in to attack. "Predator Spirits, Awaken!" Luke morphed into the Chimera Ranger and charged at the rightmost Guardiner.

"Primal Spirits, Awaken!" Johnny likewise became the Eagle Ranger to fight the other.

Back in the hallway, Floriana continued her speech. "Now then, I'm aware that an extraterrestrial holding office is probably not allowed in your constitution. But I had little intention of satisfying myself with a career in leading a small North American town. As for what my main goal is, I see that you've all been kind enough to take the flowers we were handing out before. A little something of my own design, which will show its true potential at the push of this button." She flicked a switch, causing the device Scrozzle had finished for her to descend from the ceiling light and zap everyone - including Grandma Rose, Stevie, Mrs. Mack, the punk Marina had inconvenienced, the doctor whose surgery was used to cure Shotiki's bacteria, the librarian from the university, the multiple alien immigrants, the local banker, the former deputy mayor and Keith - were turned into wood, with leaves beginning to sprout from them. "Be grateful. You might not be conscious to witness it, but you are the first step in my path to a brand new universe."

"No!" Johnny cried out from the back room. He then wrapped his Chain Saber around his opponent, causing the Guardiner to be torn to pieces. Luke likewise punched his down with a single blow. "Let's get in there."

"Right, bro.", Luke nodded as Johnny set off running. But before he could follow, Luke felt the pain in his head once more, seeing the figure of himself as the Chimera Ranger, stating. "I told you before, you can't escape the darkness."

Johnny came bursting into the auditorium. "Ah, I see you weren't too fond of the show.", Floriana remarked. "Maybe I should've thrown in an action scene to grab your attention."

"Whatever you've done to everyone, turn them back!", Johnny insisted. "Now!"

"And ruin the first stage of a perfectly good plan?", Floriana questioned. She clicked her fingers, signalling her three attendants to attack Johnny, who defeated all of them in no time at all. "Besides, I'd say the process is arguably better for these people than being an organic. Just look at what's happened to your friend Javi in a few short hours." She clicked a button to bring up a picture on a screen, sure enough, Javi had also turned to wood, and had leaves growing out of him, but his feet were starting to root into the ground, and a branch had grown out of the stump where his arm should be. "He's already healed injuries his human body couldn't. And in 72 hours, he and the rest of these people will permanently be turned into trees, that I will then pollinate with my own special spores to create a new race of plant people. They will live forever, with no memory of their human lives, an army of soldiers for me to spread this gift to the rest of the universe, until there are no animals left."

"So that's it?", Johnny questioned. "You're going to commit mass genocide of near every species in this universe. Why?"

"Because they did the same to me.", Floriana answered.

"3000 years ago, my planet of Shoku was home to a species made entirely of sentient plants, including myself. We lived in harmony, consuming nutrients from the ground and never committing acts of violence against each other. We were a perfect society, able to live for thousands of years. And then the metal beasts came from the sky, tearing up the earth beneath our roots, taking my people and shredding up their bodies to make all manner of items. And while I managed to be quick on my feet enough to escape, the land I had grown up in had been vanquished, replaced with a research colony for the Eltarians in their never ending war with Dark Specter's United Alliance of Evil. I found one of the robots that had destroyed my world and hacked its memory. I found that it had been programmed to never destroy planets with sentient life to create colonies. And then I realised. By destroying my people, they hadn't considered us 'life', purely because we were plants."

"Ouch.", Johnny commented. "I assume that led you to form a space empire."

"Soon enough.", Floriana answered. "I discovered that the minerals stolen from my home forest had been turned into a set of 10 bladed weapons cast from two designs. They were to be infused with energy from 8 creatures known as Galactibeasts that were the latest weapon used by the Eltarians in the war. "Enraged, I struck a blow for their enemies, killing three of the beasts, locking the others behind iron bars and stealing 5 of the weapons to give to a two-bit lowlife. But the rest were spirited away by Eltar's greatest warrior, trapped in a time warp, and placed in a stone on a distant planet. But I had struck the first blow in my new crusade, to avenge the wrongs inflicted upon plants, sapient or not, by animals. So I used the credos that my actions had given me to gather the money to buy a battle cruiser, threatening to destroy all planets that had harmed plants or supported animals to a sufficient degree, with anyone who rejected their planet's ways, such as Centitrax and Keldor, joining my empire. But after my attempt to make an example of Cubalia failed, and led to the creation of the Cubezords, I was told that the power of the Cubezords would be used to bring about my end. Which is why I spent the next 2000 years targeting other planets to carry on my empire. And when Archris appeared and targeted planets that enjoyed my protection inhabited by plant aliens, I realised I could lay low to avoid enemies and use him to secure the Cubezords before they could be used against me. So I faked my defeat, used a collection of DNA Cloaks I had accrued to assume the guise of Ignoblia, and then revived Archris as a big game hunter to recover the Cubezords and other items that could be used against me. And I had Keldor drafted and Centitrax reconstructed as Cuborg in order to gain two of my strongest soldiers for when I successfully revived my empire. But those plans have fallen through."

"And let me guess.", Johnny spoke up. "You're going to defeat us Rangers, take the Cubezords and use their powers to continue conquering the universe?", Johnny surmised. "It's a neat plan, except for one thing." He pulled out his Chain Saber and Primal Blaster. "I'm going to stop you."

He ran in to attack, only to be shot from behind… by Luke. "Oh, you should've let me finish.", Floriana stated. "After you unearthed the Primal Force from the Link Cube, I discovered that I was an avatar of the Anti-Grid, which made me realise that the energy I had used to create my Dear Chimera was Anti-Grid energy. And since then, I've been focusing to try and reawaken the darkness within your brother, to turn him back into my servant. And it seems that in my true form, I have succeeded."

Luke then reverted to his Rhino form and held out his Reel Staff. "Let's finish this, Bro.", he snarled. "Either you defeat me and then go on to stop Ignoblia, or I defeat you and help her win."

"Well.", Johnny nodded. "When you put it that way." He turned and began grappling with Luke, as a portal began to open in the nearby corridors.

In the city, the other 4 Rangers were fighting a losing battle against Centitrax, who fired tornadoes at them to knock them back. As Marina held onto his arm, Centitrax kicked Trunks back with his left foot. He then unleashed a sonic wave to send Tora and Lenny to the floor, before knocking Marina aside. "You're all weak.", he declared as he punched Lenny and Trunks down as they approached. "None of you can defeat me!" He then stepped on Trunks's back hard enough to create sparks, before kicking him back. "Look at me, Archris!", he laughed out loud. "I'm way more powerful than Keldor!"

"What's he babbling about?", Marina asked. "We already beat Archris and Keldor."

Centitrax then unleashed more tornadoes, making it difficult for the Rangers to even stand. "How are we going to get a clear shot in?", Tora, who was now holding the Whale Morpher replica, asked.

"We fight his power with some of our own.", Lenny answered. "Primal Mode, Unleash!" He ran in and managed to land multiple Lion-tning Slashes to his opponent. "I'll put a shock to your system."

"Your charge is leaving me static.", Centitrax responded as he sent a tornado through Lenny, sending him backwards whilst demolishing the building behind him. He then stood there confused. "How did I get here?"

"Now's our chance.", Trunks noted. "Let's get in there."

"Primal Mode, Unelash!"

Meanwhile, Johnny and Luke were still locked in battle. With Luke being the first to escalate. "Primal Change: Rhino!" After transforming, Luke threw his Reel Spear at his brother. "Tackle Thrust!"

"Primal Change: Gorilla!" Johnny caught the Spear, before using it to slash at Luke. "Bro, you've gotta snap out of this.", Johnny insisted. He threw the Spear to one side. "This isn't you." He then threw his Primal Punch attack. "Fight it."

"Oh, I'm more me than I've ever been.", Luke said as he took the punch, not feeling anything. "Whereas you have three separate power sets, I have one power-set that makes me as strong as three. That is the true potential of the Anti-Grid."

"You aren't the Anti-Grid's pawn.", Johnny insisted as he dodged punches from Luke, before sweeping his legs to knock him down. He then summoned the real Whale Morpher. "Primal Evolution!" He transformed into the Whale Ranger and initiated his attack. "Super Primal Blow!"

"Primal Reversion: Wolf!" Luke changed forms again and tried to super speed away from the shot, only for it to change directions and hit him quickly. "We can't beat each other with our individual powers.", he noted. "Primal Reversion: Rhino! Super Primal Mode, Unelash!" He then assumed his ultimate form.

"You seem to forget that I just got one of those.", Johnny commented as he reverted to Eagle. "Super Primal Mode, Unleash!" He soon assumed his own ultimate form, with the two engaging in battle. This time, Johnny managed to punch Luke back with ease. "And unlike yours, I'm using three powers at once, rather than one made up of three."

"Darn, you're right.", Luke snarled, before initiating his ultimate attack. "Darkness Charge!"

But Johnny countered with one of his own, achieved by pumping the Whale Morpher 4 times. "Shining Primal Break!" He fired the shot, which halted Luke in his tracks.

"It's no use, Johnny.", Floriana gloated. "Even if you subdue him, the Anti-Grid is still in control of his body. And there's nothing you can do to get it out."

"But here may be something I can do." Floriana turned to the source of the voice, only to be blasted backwards by a beam of energy. But she saw who it was and recognised them. "You!"

It was a short lizard like creature with a beard, dressed in a scarlet robe and wielding a wooden staff. This was Keeper, the guardian of the Energems and mentor to the Dino Charge Rangers. "Indeed." He then turned to Johnny. "Fear not, when word reached me of an Anti-Grid Avatar active on Earth, I set off to provide aid. And now that I've seen her actions in practice, allow me to undo them." He pointed his staff at Luke, sending blue energy into him.

"What are you doing?", Johnny asked.

"I'm injecting his body with energy directly from the Morphin' Grid, via my staff.", Keeper answered him. "With any luck, if I have a few minutes, I can have it expel and replace the dark energy."

"Too bad you won't have that.", Floriana laughed, as purple lightning emerged from Luke to strike at Keeper. "You see, the darkness within him is rejecting your attempts. He's going to be stuck as my servant. Forever."

Elsewhere, Trunks delivered a kick to Centitrax with his giant foot, managing to knock him back with a Rock Quaker to the chest. "Take this."

Lenny and Tora then attacked simultaneously. "Lion-tning Slash!"

"Freezing Slicer!"

As Centitrax took these two attacks, Marina launched her own strike. "Tidal Impact!"

That last attack did significant enough damage to Centitrax, managing to fatally wound him. "Looks like… the power of Cubalians is a lot stronger than I thought.", he commented as he exploded.

As the flames cleared, the Eternity Heart became visible. "Come on, Trunks.", Lenny insisted. "Destroy it already."

"Right.", Trunks nodded as he began pumping the replica Whale Morpher.

But before he could, the Heart gathered Centitrax's remains, reassembling him. "Who are you?", he asked, before launching a tornado at the group to send them flying in an explosion. "What did you guys do to Jonas?", he asked.

"Jonas?", Tora questioned. "Has his memory deteriorated that much?"

"Frankly, I don't care.", Lenny answered. "I just want to finish this." As he got up, Centitrax fired a black hole from his mouth, which Lenny slashed into three with his claws.

"We need to regroup and come up with a new plan.", Marina decided. She then took out one of the Cubezords. "Penguin Blaster!"

Tora then joined in. "Freezing Slicer!" The two strikes hit Centitrax, freezing him solid. "That ice won't hold him for long."

"No, but it should allow us to get away.", Trunks pointed out, as the 4 Rangers wisely decided to run off. As they headed off, the ice was already starting to crack.

And at the city hall, as Keeper continued to duel with the dark energy overtaking Luke, inside the Chimera Ranger's mind, he was fighting a battle against a manifestation of the suit in Super Primal Mode, and was beginning to overpower his evil half. "Don't think you can win.", the evil half taunted. "I'm a result of your powers. As long as you're a Ranger, you're stuck with me. Forever!"

"No.", Luke called out as he pushed back. "Johnny and this Keeper guy are fighting to help me break free. And I know that they can succeed. Because I believe in them."

"Maybe your body can be freed.", the Chimera Ranger laughed. "But in your mind, you're all alone against me. I'll be in permanent control of the power. You're helpless."

"Don't be so sure." Suddenly, the Chimera Ranger found himself surrounded by Al, Rhine and Were, who began throwing punches and kicks to knock him down. "You try to take a bite out of one of us, you try to take a bite out of all of us.", Were continued.

"You guys.", Luke said with happy surprise. "Been a while since we've talked, hasn't it?"

"Kind of hard to make small talk when we've been keeping this guy at bay.", Rhine explained. "Every time you morphed or used your Darkness Charge attack, he grew stronger and eventually broke free."

"But do not worry about it, my friend.", Al shook his head. "Thanking to your friends, we are, how you say, turning the tide of battle."

"You guys.", Luke said quietly, before a confident look formed on his face. "Alright, let's finish this part of me forever. Together."

"Right.", the three nodded, before dissolving into energy and merging onto Luke, transforming him into another version of the Chimera Ranger, this time in his base form.

"No, no!", the evil Chimera Ranger said, terrified. "I am the source of your power. Destroy me and you'll be powerless."

"Not anymore.", Luke stated, as he surrounded himself with glowing energy, before charging into his evil doppelgänger to strike the final blow. "Super Primal Charge!" The attack made contact with the evil version, fatally wounding him.

"I guess… you wanted it more.", the evil copy said as he began to dissolve, his purple coloured particles turning gold and merging into Luke.

And in the real world, Johnny and Keeper were knocked back as a wave of energy emerged from Luke. Both Rangers were knocked out of their morphs by this. "What happened?", Floriana asked. "My Dear Chime-."

Luke reached out his arm to backhand her. "I'm not your servant anymore, Floriana. Keeper succeeded."

"Right.", Keeper said as he pulled himself to his feet, panting for breath. "All the Anti Grid energy you infused this young man with is gone, replaced with pure Grid energy. Channelled directly from the Morphin' Grid itself through my staff."

"Is that so?", Floriana asked, intrigued. "In that case, I think I'll take it." She summoned her sword and used it to slash Keeper down, while he was too weak to properly defend himself. She picked up the staff. "And that means you are no longer required. Why settle for one Ranger under my control, when I can use this to assemble an army."

"Floriana!", Johnny cried out as he tried charging the evil empress. But she teleported away before he could strike her. "Damn it!"

"T-there is little time.", Keeper wheezed. "I sense another threat to the city currently active."

"It must be Centitrax.", Luke realised. "Hopefully, the others are handling it. We've got to get medical attention here."

"No.", Keeper urged. "My time has passed. I've made many mistakes, including escaping and doing nothing as my universe's Earth was torn apart by a wormhole. Johnny and Luke both stood over him for a mere few moments, before the former snapped them out of it. "We can take him to be buried later. Right now, we have friends in trouble." He took out his Wild Morpher.

"Right.", Luke nodded as he took out his Hunter Morpher. "Let's do this."

"Primal Spirits, Awaken!"

Elsewhere, the other 4 had regrouped a few feet down the road. "Alright, I think we need something resembling a plan.", Lenny pointed out. "Because charging in with the Whale Morpher hasn't helped us at all."

"Good point.", Trunks nodded. "I say that we focus the majority of our forces on holding him in place, while one of us aims and fires the shot."

"Sounds like a plan.", Marina nodded. "Let's do it."

Tora then realised something. "Wait a minute. The Elder mentioned an enemy who required the powers of Land, Sea and Sky to defeat for good."

"Yeah, and that's how we defeated Archris.", Trunks insisted. "Johnny combined the energies of all three to finish him off."

Before Tora could argue back, the sound of ice cracking and evil laughter filled the air. "I think we've broken the ice with Centitrax.", Lenny commented.

"Right.", Marina nodded. "Now let's show him what we're made of."

Everyone put their helmets back on and then leapt out to confront a confused Centitrax. "Wh-Who are you people?", he growled, before unleashing a tornado that created an explosion in front of the .

"Oh, you've forgotten about us already?", Marina asked, sarcastically. "Then allow us to reintroduce ourselves. Terror of the Deep Seas, Wild Fury Shark Ranger!"

"Ruler of the Jungle, Wild Fury Lion Ranger!"

"Sage of the Plains, Wild Fury Elephant Ranger!"

"Wanderer of the Mountains, Wild Fury Tiger Ranger!"

The 4 then did a variation on their group pose. "We are… Cubalia's Planetary Guardians!"

"Planetary Guardians?", Centitrax questioned. "When did they install them? Ahh, it won't matter." He charged in to battle.

"Don't mess with animals.", Lenny said as the others followed him into battle. They all hit Centitrax with their Primal Sabers, but he proved able to block their blows and knock Tora back.

As if on cue, Johnny came flying in from above. He leapt down to deliver a slash to Centitrax with his Chain Saber. "Raptor Ravaging Returns!" He continued swinging the sword at Centitrax.

"Whe-where did you come from?", Centitrax cried out in fear as Johnny kept swinging the sword. "Archris, Keldor, Ignoblia, help me!" He managed to deliver a karate chop that knocked Johnny down while simultaneously disarming him. "Observation! Unknown attack was executed. Conclusion! Highly effective!"

"Not that effective!", Johnny declared as he got back up and ran in. "I have a bone to pick with your boss."

The other Rangers could only look on in confusion, as Johnny continued to throw himself into the fight. "Johnny, let us help.", Tora urged.

"No!", Johnny yelled as he continued to throw himself ineffectually at Centitrax. "I want to know where this guy's boss is. I have a bone to pick with her."

"I don't know what's going on, but we're not sitting it out.", Lenny insisted as he and the others ran in to join the fight.

As Johnny was launched back, the others ran in and began swinging their Primal Sabers at Centitrax, which he continued to block. "I told you I could handle this.", he insisted. He transformed into the Gorilla Ranger and ran up to Centitrax, throwing a punch that managed to knock him back ver slightly, before blocking his fists.

"I have to admit, you guys are pretty good.", Centitrax laughed as he beat back Trunks and punched him several feet back.

"Not just good.", Tora said as she went over to Trunks and both pulled out their Primal Blasters. "We're great." The two of them fired shots at Centitrax, managing to hurt him.

"Nice.", Trunks commented.

Centitrax soon emerged from the smoke. "I-I think I'm starting to find you familiar.", he growled. He then grappled with Johnny briefly, before throwing him to one side, where he collided with the windshield of a car with enough force to crack it. "Annoyingly so." He slammed his hand into the ground, creating a shockwave that blew the others back.

But the four soon emerged from the smoke, unharmed. "You know, growing up our parents made you seem like some unknowable monster.", Lenny declared.

"But to tell you the truth, Centitrax.", Marina continued. "We've beat you a few times by now, so you were pretty overrated."

The 4 then proceeded to attack with their Sabers, managing to hold Centitrax at bay. "I hope Luke's about to show up.", Trunks said under his breath.

"You assume correctly.", as Luke arrived in his Super Primal Mode. The others broke off from their enemy as Luke launched his attack. "Alligator Swamp Strike!"

The other 4 then pulled out their Primal Blasters. "Wild Fury Cube Blast!" The four shots hit Centitrax simultaneously, destroying him and leaving his Eternity Heart exposed.

"Quickly Johnny.", Trunks urged. "Use the Whale's power to destroy that thing."

"Primal Evolution!" Johnny stood behind the group, morphed into the Whale Ranger. "Don't have to tell me twice." He pumped the Morpher and fired. "Super Primal Blow!"

But before the beam could hit, a pair of growth coins flew into the Eternity Heart - thrown by Floriana. "You really are getting under my roots. Now I have to waste two of these coins bringing Centitrax back as a giant." She then teleported out. "Luckily, I have other matters to attend to, so you're spared."

After she vanished, the Eternity Core, now enlarged, constructed a giant Centitrax, who seemed incapable of doing more than growling as his cries tore the city apart. "His mind's completely gone.", Trunks noted. "If we don't stop him, he'll level the planet."

"Understood.", Johnny said as he closed the Whale Morpher and pumped the handle. "Genesis Ultrazord, Ultimate Formation!"

"Zords, combine!" The 14 Zords came together as one. "Genesis Ultrazord, ready!"

The Ultrazord stepped forward to wrap its arms around Centitrax, but he pushed them aside. "Centitrax, this isn't you.", agora tried pleading. "You're not a tool of destruction for Ignoblia. You're a warrior."

"A warrior. Yes.", Centitrax hissed as he punched the Ultrazord back.

"Oh sure, make the psycho more sane.", Lenny chided Tora as he got back up. "We need to put him down, not lift him up."

"Right.", Luke nodded. "After all, he's just some piece of junk following Archris's orders."

"What?", Centitrax growled.

"That's right.", Trunks continued. "Another disposable bit of scrap in a wild goose chase. That describes you well, Cuborg."

"That's not my name!", Centitrax hissed as he summoned up energy, sending a geyser of fire at the Ultrazord. "My name is Centitrax! I'm a warrior of Floriana!"

"The same Floriana who just tried to turn you into a mindless doll?", Marina asked.

"That's right.", Johnny nodded. "At least when you were Cuborg, Archris let you have the dignity of a mind of your own."

Suddenly, the 4 Cubezords that Jeremy had gathere - which were now with their primary users in the interest of keeping them safe - started glowing. "That's right.", Marina realised. "These Cubezords have a copy of Centitrax's energy from when they were merged with him."

"So we just need to use them to put him on ice.", Lenny nodded. "Alright, let's do it."

The Penguin, Cheetah, Owl and Zebra Zords were launched from the downed Ultrazord's and flew at Centitrax, managing to disorientate and down him. "Do it Rangers.", Centitrax pleaded. "Finish me off, before my mind collapses even more."

"Well, he asked for it.", Johnny said as he combined the control weapon with his Wild Morpher, Luke's Hunter Morpher and his Whale Morpher. "Begin final attack!"

"Genesis Creation Burst!" The images of 100 Cubezords flew out of the Ultrazord and into Centitrax, damaging his body dramatically.

"Thank you.", Centitrax wheezed as his body exploded once more, leaving behind the Eternity Heart and a few fragments.

"It's not over yet.", Lenny realised as he took out the replica Whale Morpher, and thought about both what they knew of the Heart and what Tora said earlier about the prophecy. "Jonas got him with the power of the sea and Jeremy got him with the power of the sky. So we have to hit him with land, to complete the prophecy."

"See.", Tora nodded cockily. "I told you."

Trunks sighed. "We'll just have to see, shall we?"

The 4 Animen climbed onto the hull of the Ultrazord, with Lenny pumping the handle as energy from the others flowed into it. "Ultra Primal Explosion!" They fired the shot, which bounced around before making contact with the Eternity Heart, turning it and the debris to stone.

"We did it.", Lenny cheered triumphantly with Tora.

"Not yet.", Marina pointed out. "We've just removed its protection. We still need to break it."

"Then let's do that.", Trunks nodded.

"Primal Mode, Unleash!" The 4 assumed their powered up forms and leat across the buildings and debris until they were directly at the Heart. "Primal Quartet Strike!" With the power of their four energies, the Eternity Heart exploded, as did the fragments of Centitrax's body, scattering them all far and wide. "Top of the food chain!"

"We won this battle.", Luke commented. "But our war isn't over."

"Right.", Johnny nodded. "We need to tell them. Or rather, show them."

At her base, Floriana had finished channeling energy into the staff she had claimed for herself. "This staff can channel energy from the Morphin' Grid. So it stands to reason that it contains a gateway to it. A gateway that my Anti Energy can use to relocate the portal to my home. And with it, my master." She pointed the staff, opening a vortex that seemed composed of dark clouds, which Floriana then stepped into.

Back at the city hall, the Rangers, Sir Caesar and Metal Alice inspected the people, who were beginning to turn into trees by growing branches and rooting themselves into the ground. "My, this is terrible.", Caesar commented. "How long did you say we had to save these people?"

"Less than three days.", Luke answered, as he stared into Stevie's face. "And who knows how long it'll take to develop an antidote."

"As long as it takes for me to get a sample of their sap.", Trunks answered. "Which is gonna be hard, given that they're as hard as Trunkrush. Not to mention that the structure of these plants is a lot like those vines used by Thornhead."

"Meaning they'll be tough for us to cut through, even with our weapons.", Marina surmised. "And if they weren't humans, I'd be willing to use the Mole Zord to cut through them for a sample."

"That Floriana!", Trunks growled as he slammed his fist against the tree that was Mrs. Mack. "It's all my fault. I gave her the idea to run for mayor, and she used it to hand out those flowers that caused this."

"You can't blame yourself for that.", Tora assured him. "All you did was save us from a likely more sudden attack. One we might not have been able to avoid."

"Is there anything you can ascertain through scanning them?", Lenny asked Alice.

"Nothing more than what you have noticed.", was the answer he received. "My advanced scanner is still having trouble isolating where the transformations spread from. Once I've successfully isolated it, then perhaps I can work on removing it."

"You work on that.", Johnny told her. "Right now, we've got bigger things to worry about. Floriana killed Keeper and took his staff for a reason. And until we can figure out what she wanted it for, we need to be on high alert."

Elsewhere, in a crackling red void, filled with thunder, a crimson and black armoured figure with a tattered cape heard the sounds of footsteps. "So, someone has deigned to enter my domain?", the figure laughed. "Who would be so bold as to meet with the Dark Master in his house."

Floriana then stepped into view. "Oh great Dark Master, it is I, Floriana. Your humble emissary.", she said, bowing and scraping.

The Dark Master was impressed. "Few of my avatars have learned of their true nature and sought me out. Perhaps you seek a reward of some sort."

"Indeed.", Floriana nodded. "Thanks to the Rangers I am fighting, fragments of the Eternity Heart have scattered throughout the world." As she said this, images to depict what she was talking about were projected behind her. "If I were to charge them with Anima particles, then I could create a series of portals to bring back my fellow avatars, so that we may overwhelm the Power Rangers together."

"Ah, an interesting stratagem.", the Dark Master nodded. "And I assume you have a source of Anima Particles ready to enact such a plan, that only I can disperse so quickly."

"In fact I do." Floriana removed a box from within her, which she opened to reveal the Anima Arm. "I've been keeping it on ice for a while, in anticipation of this plan."

"Good work.", the Dark Master cackled as he zapped the arm, causing it to glow red. "And which of your fellow avatars do you wish to revive? Madame Odious? Or perhaps Evox?"

"All of them.", Floriana declared. "Alone, the Rangers defeated them, but if we all work as one entity, then we can triumph."
