Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one about Naruto. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.

There was a shape in the moonlight. It continued to zoom forward as the figure slowly walked forward. He cast a gaze over his shoulder while trudging forward as he did so. There was a small amount of fear within his eyes as he did so. He started to think that whomever was chasing him was trying to trick him into letting his guard down.

"Keep going." He muttered to himself while he started to shake his head. "He said just take the scroll to the town, deliver it, then I can go back." He stated to himself while he shook his head and started to move faster.

There was a rustle in the trees around him as he sighed before a glint of light flew out. The figure barely deflected it, the object scoring a glancing hit on his arm. He cursed to himself as he rolled forward, dodging to the side as another few glints exploded out from the tree.

He sighed to himself while he rushed forward, looking over his shoulder while he did so. The glints of light were revealed to him. Kunai.

"Who the hell wants this thing so badly that their willing to send more people?" He started to himself while he slowly backed up. "They hired people to take this thing from me… While someone sent me to deliver this thing." He stated while he held up his kunai in response.

"Surround him!" He heard as he gazed at the massive trees. "He's a Chunin, we already got the drop on his escorts. Just kill him. We outnumber him 5 to 1." He heard to which he sighed to himself.

"I should have asked why nobody else showed up." He said before he turned. "Screw it. I got to lose them in the ravine." He added as he began to sprint forward.

There was another sound as more footsteps began to rush after him. he was annoyed that they had sent him alone through the dark of night with this package. He almost considered dropping it, they wanted the cargo that he carried with him, not the simple Chunin who believed there was more capable shinobi available.

"If I live? I'm going to ask why they needed me to send this thing to Konoha." He muttered to himself before he slid down the hill. "There's plenty of shinobi back home… Though, I have a clue." He stated before something slammed into the path in front of him.

It caused him to tilt only for him to slam into a stone which sent him skidding down the hill. He tumbled and slammed into several stones. He felt pain shoot through his body as he forced himself to his feet. These people were good, they were boxing him in like an animal in a trap. Whomever it was? He was in over his head.

"Who the hell wants this stupid this thing bad enough to hire… Whoever these jackasses are." He started to say before more kunai rained down on his location. "I'm a nobody, they shouldn't even know enough to do this." He said before he held up the kunai only to curse.

The weapon had been knocked from his hands. The fall had to have thrown it from his grasp which made him far more annoyed. He knew that it wouldn't do much anyway, his enemy was clearly ganging up on him and even if they didn't see him? The sheer number of kunai they had thrown at him meant one would find it's mark sooner or later.

"Kill him already, he's hurt!" He heard as he slowly dragged himself towards the water. "Damn it, you idiots keep letting him escape! You bring me that scroll or I'll have your head!" He also heard to which he grunted.

"I don't see him; you think he fell in the water?" He heard before he collapsed. "Do you think we got him? I think we got him." He also heard as he started to look around while grunting.

He felt water wash over him as he was washed down the river. The package was still wrapped in his satchel as he started to lose conciseness.

He didn't know what happened next. He did know he was still in over his damn head.

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out that this story will be replacing the other one. I also want to point out that this story was made to show that I am NOT making some self-insert who can nuke suns. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be showing Sakura as set up the plot. Until the 900–6500-word chapters and such. Lighting Wolf out!
