The Daxamite Ninja and Kryptonian Lady

Chapter 1

"I hate it here", Naruto Uzumaki, or Nar-El, as he was called by the Daxamites, thought, not for the first time as he was forced to sit with the Royal Family of Daxam at one of their extravagant parties. One could be forgiven for wondering why Naruto Uzumaki was even here. Was he not a shinobi? Did he not want to be Hokage? Well of course he did. It just that, roughly 7 year's ago, Naruto discovered certain truths about himself that he was forced to confront.

During the 4th Shinobi World War, when Naruto confronted his own inner Darkness at the Fountain of Truth, he was forced to come to terms with some very ugly truths about himself and Konoha. Truths that he had desperately tried to ignore or deny or forget about. He had no home there. He had no friends, not truly, as those same people that called themselves his friends had mocked and belittled him for his dreams. Over the course of his war against Obito, Madara and then Kaguya, Naruto hid the fact that he expected Sasuke, his former best friend to betray him, and he did when he captured the tailed beasts, but that betrayal did not last for long.

Naruto, having expected Sasuke's inevitable betrayal, was prepared and ripped Sasuke's Rinnegan out of his eye when he tried to capture the Tailed Beasts, crushing it into red paste a moment later. Sasuke was not to be deterred from his new goal of ruling over the world and they still fought an intense battle, but without the extraordinary abilities the Rinnegan granted him or the ability to siphon off the chakra of the Tailed Beasts and Naruto still having his Six Paths Sage Mode, Sasuke had no chance in hell against Naruto. Their battle tore the very land asunder and Naruto blew a hole in his chest with a Rasengan, just like Sasuke had done years earlier with a Chidori, ending the bitter feud between Ashura and Indra once and for all.

With Sasuke dead and being all alone with his dark thoughts(Sakura and Kakashi got caught in the crossfire between Sasuke and Naruto, trying to stop their battle and unfortunately paid the price for it), Naruto had to make a choice. He could either take all the chakra away from the world and ensure something like this war never happens again or he could release everyone and hope people were able to follow his old path and work out their differences. Unfortunately, thanks to his newly darkened outlook on life, he knew that it was inevitable that things would deteriorate again, in his lifetime or his children's, and another Shinobi World War would erupt. Tens of thousands of innocents would lose their lives. Was it not kinder then, to take chakra away from humanity, and ensure such destructive wars like the Shinobi World Wars could never happen again?

And so it was that instead of restoring the shinobi who were held captive by the World Tree, he instead let them all die by becoming the new Ten Tails host and absorbed all the chakra in the world back into Ten Tails. The effects were nearly instantaneous. All the shinobi died off, the intelligent animal summons either died or reverted to mindless beasts, and the samurai with large amounts of chakra died as well. A large number of people did survive though. These were the ordinary folks, the one's whose chakra was the barest amount possibly needed to survive. They were able to transition back to having no chakra network without dying thanks to their almost non-existent chakra supply. The political landscape was forever changed now that chakra was gone forever.

But that hardly mattered to Naruto. Naruto did not keep the Ten Tails within himself. He freed the Biju from being all mashed together by the 10 tails, splitting them back up into 9 and releasing them back out into the world. As no one else in the world had chakra, there was no way they could be subjugated again. Even Kurama was freed, and as thanks for giving him freedom for the first time in over a century, Kurama left Naruto with a large portion of his chakra, so Naruto would survive the colossal shock to his system that losing his Biju caused.

4 years ago, while he was exploring the world and seeing how things had changed, he happened across a highly advanced ship, easily many millennia ahead of whatever his planet had. A ship that apparently belonged to the Prince of Daxam. Whilst Naruto was wondering what all this meant, the ship scanned him when he entered it and found that he was in fact the grandson of Lar Gand's father, through his father, which meant that his own father was half Daxamite. He also discovered that as a Daxamite, by absorbing the radiation of a yellow sun, his body stored that energy and was able to use it to perform incredible super-human feats, like superstength, speed, flight, invulnerability, heat-vision, ect. The reason he and his father likely could not do so before was because chakra filled every corner of the atmosphere and likely filtered out the effects of the solar radiation their bodies absorbed.

Upon discovering who he was, the ship sent out a distress call to Daxam. Apparently it was programmed to do so when the prince or a close blood relation was discovered. Anyway, the Daxamites arrived within a week to escort Naruto back to his ancestral home, and Naruto decided to go with them. He really had nothing holding him here on the now chakra-less planet and was interested in learning of his ancestral world. The charm of Daxam quickly wore off when he realized that Daxam, despite being technologically ten's of thousands of years ahead of his own world, was basically a feudalistic society, with lords, serfs, and a royal family.

Naruto didn't have a high opinion of the Royal Family either. Lar Gand was pleasant enough but oblivious and naive, Rhea was a stuck-up bitch and Mon-El was sexist douche. Nonetheless, Naruto learned the ways of the court, politics, war, business and science, the last two he was eager to absorb and add to his knowledge. Naruto thanked the gods he still had the ability to use chakra and could still make Shadow Clones. It would have been a nightmare trying to learn the advanced math and science that Daxamite royals learn without them.

"If it pleases Your Majesty's, I am tired from this evening's activities and would like to retire early tonight." Naruto requested of Lar Gand and a nod was received as confirmation. Naruto returned to his room and fell asleep, exhausted from the day's events, while making plans to leave soon, as this place was not really the home he sought for himself either.

Next Morning

Naruto awoke the next morning to the sound of explosions. Quickly dressing himself, Naruto looked out the window of his room and saw meteors falling from the sky. Naruto knew where it was coming from. Krypton. The idiots in charge of the planet had begun tapping the planet's core a few years ago for more resources. The fools. It didn't take a genius to know that such a thing would cause the planet to become unstable and eventually explode.

Naruto was brought out of his musing by the sound of a meteor crashing into the palace. He knew that particular area of the palace that it struck. That was where Mon-El's room was. Quickly entering Sage mode, he searched for life-forces and found none from that room. It seems that Mon-El had died. Naruto wasn't particularly close to his distant relative and didn't feel sad at his death. But it did bring him back into focus.

Creating a dozen Shadow Clones, they were under orders to protect as many Daxamites as they could and help them flee to safety, while the real Naruto went to find a ship and high-tail it out of there. Naruto was not an Ōtsutsuki and could not breath in space, so he needed to get of the planet. Naruto teleported the nearest ship, which was a functioning Kryptonian pod, using his fathers Flying Thunder God jutsu, as he had tagged it the previous day when they arrived. Naruto powered up the pod and exited orbit as he saw the first of several ships begin to start exiting the atmosphere. Wanting to be rid of the Daxamites for good, Naruto plugged in the ships destination, which was Earth, allowing him to escape the debris falling on the planet. Unfortunately, unknown to Naruto, some damage had been dealt to the ship by passing debris, and while his ship would get to Earth, it would first pass through the Well of Stars, a nebula in which time pretty much stands still. The ship would get stuck there for decades and Naruto would be put in hypersleep by the ship to protect the life of it's passenger. It would not be until the year 2016 that he finally made it to Earth and was discovered by Kara Zor-El, one of the last survivor's of Krypton.

With Kara and friends

Kara, along with her adopted family and friends had been having a party when Naruto's pod entered Earth's orbit. J'onn transformed into his Martian self while Kara pulled out her Supergirl costume and the 2 immediately flew off to intercept the ship as it was burning and flying through the city.

"We need to stop it, or there could be major casualties." J'onn pointed out.

"I've got it." Supergirl said confidently as she sped ahead of J'onn to reach the spacecraft. When she got close enough to actually touch it, the pod's still active forcefield repelled her back, causing her to stop for a moment and regain her balance in mid air. The spacecraft passed by a worker cleaning the windows on a skyscraper, which caused the platform to begin to tip over.

"I've got him. Supergirl, go!" J'onn told Supergirl as he rushed to save the worker. Kara saw that it was about to hit a crane, and that would certainly cause some damage, and after quickly figuring out that the pod would safely land in an empty construction zone if it wasn't obstructed, sped ahead and pushed the crane out of the ships path with her superstength, allowing the pod to land in the construction zone without any injuries to nearby civilians.

As Kara and J'onn landed, Supergirl recognized the design of the pod. "That pod... It's identical to mine. It's from krypton." Hope and uncertainty filled Kara's voice. Maybe another Kryptonian had survived?

"Supergirl, be careful. You don't know what's in there." J'onn urged her but Supergirl soldiered on, ripping the hood of the pod off.

"Oh, my god." Kara said as she examined the whiskered blonde that was Naruto Uzumaki, stunned that what she believed was possibly another Kryptonian had actually survived.

3 days later

Kara sat by the bed Naruto was resting and recuperating in after another day of superhero work. It had been a rather hectic last couple days, despite the welcome visit from Kal. She had saved Lena Luthor from 2 assassination attempts, broken up with James because she felt it was better they stay as friends, finally gotten her dream job as a reporter and almost lost it, and almost died to kryptonite poisoning because of the Metallo's. But now, all that was done and she could breathe easy for a bit.

"I know what it's like to be a stranger on this planet," She spoke to Naruto, not that he could really hear her, but just talking to someone who was more like her made everything feel a little better. Maybe it was because he was hopefully another kryptonian, maybe it wasn't, but just being in his presence made Kara just feel better about herself. "So, when you wake up, I'll be here for you. So that you never have to know what's it like to be alone." She reached out and her hand touched his cheek. Despite still recovering from spending decades in suspended animation, his body and head leaned towards the source of warmth that was Kara's hand.

Naruto, for his part, thanks to his advanced healing, was slowly coming out of the decades long coma he had been in. His eyes fluttered open for a moment when he felt someone's hand touch his cheek. He could not help but lean into the touch. It had been decades since he had physical contact with a living being. When his eyes opened for a moment, he was greeted with the sight of a smiling Kara. He could sense her emotions, this shining ball of positivity and kindness. It was like he was staring into the sun itself. "Beautiful." He muttered, and she of course heard him, the surprise on her face clearly proving it, but that little comment used up all of the strength he had mustered thus far, and he fell back into the realm of unconsciousness, soon to be followed by dreams of his new angel. Kara, for her part, could not help but blush a little at the innocent complement. She wasn't sure he was even aware he had said it, but she hoped he would wake up soon. She might like to get to know this admittedly handsome 'kryptonian' more.
