"Where's Kimberly?" Gayle asked as Tommy walked into their house with a few friends trailing behind him. "Tommy…"

"We're here to explain that," Austin said as Tommy continued past them towards his room to begin packing. He had already called the airline and managed to change their flight to later on tonight. He was sure his parents would hate it, but the general consensus had been that it was safer to send Kim back with the Guardians and Power Rangers than it was to wait to see if she woke up quickly. He could already feel the strain it was causing through their soulmate connection and knew he needed to move quickly.

"Explain what?" Russell asked as he walked in carrying both of the twins and they looked over at him and he saw the immediate regret. "Where's Kim?"

"Some beings came and threatened our children and they…we…" Felicity trailed off as Gayle walked over to her and gave her a hug. "I'm sorry."

"Tyler?" Russell asked and he looked down at his hands. "None of you have answered where she is or what happened. Tommy is on his feet- so I can safely assume she's not dead, but she's not here."

"Kiros was one of the beings," Tyler supplied and Gayle pulled back from Felicity and looked between all of them. She had seen what he had done to Kimberly before and she hadn't even been near Kiros that time. She could guess from how Tommy was acting that he had gotten much closer to her this time. "We didn't know and after everything that happened with our siblings- we didn't think they could protect our kids. We just thought…we thought they'd either take care of it or this would be the end of our problem. We're sorry, really."

"I'm not the one you need to apologize to and I imagine that Tommy isn't going to let you off the hook that easily," Gayle said as they all looked away from her and she waited for them to turn back to her. "And I'm not going to work on him for that either. If you're hoping that I can offer you absolution- I can't and with the things that Kiros can do to Kimberly…I don't know when Tommy will be willing to really listen either."

"Gayle, you should go help him pack," Russell said as she barely nodded and then turned to walk back to that room. "Thank you for coming and telling us this. I do understand your fears for your children. You should go, we're going to be busy getting them back home."

"Tommy didn't even…" Felicity trailed off as Russell shook his head. "What?"

"You walk in here without his wife- he looks pissed and the three of you look like you are going to beg forgiveness. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that she's hurt and that he's booked them on the first flight back home," Russell stated and they just looked at him. "My son lived without her for 13 years- every time since then that something has happened to her- this is what he looks like. And he is absolutely terrified of losing her, even though he won't admit it."

Tommy walked through JFK and checked his cell again. The latest update was that she was holding steady, but the Guardians were concerned about how she hadn't improved. He hoped that that was only due to him having to fly home instead of teleporting home. It was enough that he was going to teleport home from the airport with the babies. They hadn't been sure if it would be dangerous to bring them that far and he had opted to keep them safe, even if it meant it would be a bit worse for Kim.

"Tommy? What are you doing back?" Grant asked as Tommy came out of his thoughts and looked over at him. "I'm heading out for that snowboarding trip."

"Oh yeah. Some stuff just came up and we needed to get back early," Tommy supplied and Grant just looked at him and then looked around. He knew he wanted to ask more about it and he did not have the capacity to answer him right now. "Don't. Okay? Go enjoy your trip- I'll see you back at the dojo in a couple weeks."

"Tommy…is everything alright?" Grant asked and Tommy just let out a sigh. "Dude- I've seen that face enough to know."

"I know and it should shake out in the next day or two. Go- don't miss your flight," Tommy said and Grant gave him a concerned look and then moved on. He was glad that Grant wasn't going to fight him about it, but he knew that Grant was likely to cut his trip short and he didn't want that either. His employees were never supposed to become a part of this.

He grabbed their luggage and looked for a place to disappear. It seemed like he would never just be able to have a simple life and that was something he wanted so badly. However, he didn't have time to think about that as he found the elevator and jumped on it alone. He quickly pressed his communicator buttons and then felt himself land in the Command Center.

"How is she?" Tommy asked as the guardians jumped up to face him and he shook his head. He still didn't understand some of the dynamics that were supposed to be between the rangers and the guardians. "Roberto?"

"Holding steady- the scans haven't shown us much other than her body is struggling to heal. Axel and Cameron have a plan they'd like to run past you. Ultimately- it looks…it looks like you may have to go in. Shelby and Rebekah have poured over the prophecies and…" Roberto trailed off as Tommy just nodded as he continued past him to the infirmary. His rangers met him and took Jay and Kira as he made his way to the private area they had erected. He sat down next to the bed and grabbed both of her hands.

"Baby…I'm here. And I really need for you to come back to me," Tommy whispered as he tried to force back the sob, but utterly failed. He let himself go as he sobbed into her chest. He wasn't Thomas- he couldn't live without her. Not again.
