1 month later
It's been a month since Jason returned to Gotham almost 2 they were at the end of the 5th month. And Jason was trying to go back to his life before Marinette*
Roy;how about that one?
We see Jason and Roy having a boy's night. More specifically Roy was tired of Jason mopping around and was gonna get him laid. Jason looked at the woman Roy picked looking at her up and down*
Jason: she's more a you type then a me type dude
Roy groaned loud enough that even the DJ could hear it. He glared at Jason*
Roy:dude! You've said no to every single girl for the last 2 bloody hours!!
Jason just shrugged and paid for another round of drinks to make Roy happy*
Jason:I don't know what to tell you, none of them do anything for me
Roy:dude, you asked me to take to a club and I did. You ask me to be your wingman and I did, what kind of wingman can I be if you keep saying no? Just pick a girl and have some fun. But you know remember to use protection this time
Jason felt his chest tightening. That little comment made him think of Marinette, more importantly how he was ghosting her and now feels like absolute shit. He sighed and got up*
Jason:gotta go man, duty calls unfortunately, we'll try again tomorrow yeah?
Roy:fine, but tomorrow I'm not taking no. You will choose a girl and you will get laid
Jason nodded not really feeling it as he just walked out of the club. Once out and walking Jason decided to be a masochist, he took his phone out and looked at the last conversation he had with Marinette*
Marinette:so when are you coming home?
Jason: should be soon just gotta take care of this plan the joker has, I think my boss said something about him wanting a warehouse for his new headquarters or something
Marinette: alright. Be careful I love you
Jason frowned as he kept looking at the 'i love you' he couldn't look lower then that since he knew he would crack. Marinette kept sending him messages obviously worried about him. And what was Jason doing? Ghosting her*
Jason:this is for the best, this is for the best, this is for the best...
Jason kept muttering to himself trying to convince himself that he did the correct thing even If he was regretting doing it. He made it home and just crashed on the couch. Artemis was in the room sharpening her axe for woodworking, Jason lazily glanced at her and she was still giving him a hateful glare over his stupidity*
Jason:if you've got something to say just say it. We both know I'm not scared of that axe or little knife
Artemis:I have nothing to say for deadbeats like you
Artemis said her tone filled with disgust. She actually said a lot worse but you know children present. Jason just sighed and turned the tv*
Jason:then look somewhere else I already feel like shit I don't need you to add to that
Artemis:fine, I don't want to stay here with you around anyway
Artemis left the apartment saying a whole lot of insults she slammed the door and Jason sighed scrolling through the TV not finding anything to watch. His phone rang and he felt a lump on his throat thinking it was Marinette. He looked and took a breath of relief when it was just his boss*
Jason:what do you want B?
B: you've got a job to do Victor zsasz is on the lose and is making a B line to a Wayne foundation get there and stop him. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use overforce of violence, so I make myself clear?
Jason rolled his eyes and hung up, he quickly got dress and hop out of there on his bike*
Scene change
Jason and his team were left in charge of guarding the woman shelter while the batfamily took care of Victor*
B:warning victor has escape the batfamily sight he could be anywhere keep your guard up
Jason:how the hell did they lose him?!
B:now is not the time Jason! Keep those woman safe!
that's when a woman's scream was heard Jason let a low growl as as he took his gun and pointed it at Victor who had a woman as a human shield with his knife on her neck*
Jason"of course he's with me, what should I expect with my luck?"
Jason: put her down!
Victor:no no, no I won't if I put her down you'll shot and then I can't have my fun anymore now can I?
Victor said with a huge grin on his face Jason glared at Victor who just looked smugly*
Victor:come on, you everyone knows you can't kill anymore so be a good little hood and drop the gun
Mary:p..please I'm pregnant!!
Jason's eyes went as small as a pin needle as Victor licked her cheek. In Jason's mind the pregnant woman turned in to a very scared Marinette. Victor's knife hand dropped to her stomach right where the baby is located*
Victor;oh even better that means I'll get 2 lines for the price of one!
B:Jason we can hear him, keep him talking the batfamily is almost...
The room got quiet as the sound of a gunshot was heard. Victor dropped the knife his sick twisted smile never leaving his face as he took a step back and collapsed to the floor with a bullet hole right between the eyes. The woman ran behind Jason terrified, Jason turned around looking at her, she returned back to normal as Jason took his jacket off and gave it to the woman*
Jason:you're safe now don't worry...
B:JASON TODD!!!
Jason eye twitched already in a fool mood, the pit glitching inside of him as he turned around and saw his team and the batfamily all looking at him with different levels of anger and disappointment*
Jason:great this is the last thing I need today...
Jason muttered softly to himself as he crossed his arms and kept a hateful loom at everyone as they started walking towards him*
Scene change
Jason:they weren't gonna make it in time, I took care of the situation!!
Bruce:you had no right taking that life!
Jason:oh so I should've just left Victor to kill the woman and her unborn child?!
We see Jason and Bruce arguing only this wasn't a normal argument. Not this one was more headed then before since Jason broke the code of no killing*
Bruce:you should've waited,you should've kept him talking!! That's it Jason I'm done I am fucking done with you get the hell out of this house! You obviously don't respect me or the rules of this place I disown you!
Jason;fine! Worst thing that ever happened to me was meeting you in the first place!!
Jason said grabbing his guns, and the second Bruce tried to confiscate them Jason punched him with enough force to break Bruce's nose and send him flying to the ground. Jason jumped to his bike and rode off in to the night in a blind rage*
Present
Alfred"ah yes I remember that fight. Thought he didn't disown master Todd he simply kicked him out of the batfamily, banning him from being red hood, thought with how much of an ass Bruce was in his civilian form with Jason it was basically thr same thing as being disowned"
Back to the past
So let's recap, Jason was ghosting Marinette, just got fired from his job, got disowned by his family, and everyone was either angry at him for ghosting Marinette or for killing the serial killer. So yeah, it was inevitable that the pit of madness to take over of him*
Bizarro2:hold his legs tighter!
Kori:I'm trying here!
we see Jason completely consumed by the pit of madness to the point even his veins were shining bright green, Kori took a few steps back holding her bleeding nose, Jason managed to kick her nose and free himself. Bizarro2 was now trying to bear hug him to submission while Roy and Artemis had there weapons pointed at Jay. That's when the door knocked*
Kori;I'll answer just take him to the back or something until he calms down,$$/#$ this hurts
Kori said in her native tongue as she walked to the door and opened it*
Kori:apologies but we're currently facing a personal issue can you come back later?
Marinette:oh uh ok but is Jason there?
In Jason's pit filled haze he saw everyone as a enemy, the second he heard Marinette's voice he went apeshit*
Jason"Marinette... Marinette...danger! Danger she's in danger!!"
Jason:pixie...pixie...my pixie!!
Jason managed to escape bizarro2 grip sending him toppling to the basement as he ran to Her kicking Kori out of the way*
Marinette:Jason?!?
Marinette screamed in a mix of scared and concerned as he was looking at her his eyes completely green. Artemis and Roy eyes widen scared as they went to protect Marinette, Marinette saw this and got in front of him*
Marinette;all of you stop!!
Artemis: Marinette get out of the way he's dangerous!!
Roy;Jason keep your hands where I can see them!!
Roy said pointing one of his sleeping arrows right on Jason's head. Jason wtOped his hands around Marinette, and Mari grabbed hold to one of Jason's arm*
Marinette: he's not gonna hurt me. Right?
Jason get growling looking at Artemis, Roy and everyone else that was slowly coming to the living room to see what the noise was about. Marinette turned around and touched Jason's cheek making flinch and looked down to Marinette's smiling face*
Marinette:I know you're not gonna hurt me Jason. They're you're friends they're not gonna hurt you either just calm down, please For me?
Marinette grabbed Jason's hand and placed it on her belly where he felt there baby kick*
Marinette:calm down for him...
Marinette said softly. Everyone inside was ready to fight and take the woman to safety, but they all saw something almost magical, Jason's eyes turned to normal as he fell to his knees. Everyone was shocked to see Jason come back from the madness normally instead of by force*
Jason:p...pixie...
Marinette:it's ok, everything is ok...
Marinette said in a gentle tone as Jason eyes closed after everything he was so tired that he passed out in Marinette's arms. Now Marinette needed help as she was struggling to hold his weight*
Marinette:o..ok, I...I could use a hand p.. please
Marinette said her face turning red from all the effort she was doing. Bizarro2 walked to her and grabbed Jason putting him in the couch. Marinette took a breath and smiled at Jason's roommates*
Marinette;mind if I come in?
