CHAPTER THIRTEEN: VANNY

I opened my eyes to see that I was completely engulfed in darkness, a darkness so great something told me that not even light could break through it. I looked around to see if I could spot anything, though it should've been obvious that it was impossible.

A strange noise from behind me caught my attention. I turned but found nothing. If only I had a flashlight, I could see, even if it was just a tiny bit. Another sound echoed throughout the darkness, though this time, it was to my side. I looked, but once again, I found nothing.

"Hehehehe… HAHAHAHA!" echoed out a creepy laugh. I felt a chill go down my spine upon hearing it. The laughter wasn't one that was filled with joy and excitement; it was the kind that a psychopath would make.

"Mihael!" came a voice. Confusion struck me like a bullet. Whoever said my name didn't sound like the one who made the laugh. It was from someone different… but who?

"WAKE UP!" came the voice again. My confusion grew more. Why was the owner of the voice telling me to wake up? This didn't make any sense. It didn't seem possible.

A bright, white light, cut through the darkness. As it grew, that voice continued to echo through the darkness that was now behind me. I had shielded my eyes with my right arm in an attempt to keep it from blinding me. It did little to help.

"MIHAEL!"

"Mihael, wake up!" someone cried out as I felt myself being shaken along with it. I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes, sitting up from my position. I looked around, a wave of confusion hitting me like a ton of brick.

The room looked to be some kind of office with a desk that held a ton of TV screens, metal shelves filled with toys, and many other personal belongings, and underneath me was what looked to be clothes stacked up. Behind me were shelves filled with boxes and other goods that I didn't know about. To my left was a metal door leading out of the room and to the right of the desk was a vent cover.

"What the hell?" I whispered to myself. "Where the hell am I?"

"About time you woke up, sleeping beauty!" I heard someone shout beside me. I looked to see Gregory looking at me with a pale face. "We need to leave! Now!"

"Gregory, what is-" was all I was able to say.

"We're in the Lost and Found!" Gregory interrupted. "Vanessa got us not long after you fainted! I must've blacked out too and when I woke up, we were locked in here! If that wasn't bad enough, the rabbit lady's coming for us!"

I felt my blood turn to ice, my heart skipping along with it upon hearing that. It was bad enough that we were locked inside Lost and Found, but for Gregory to tell me that the rabbit he saw earlier was now heading our way. I didn't want to know if it was the same rabbit from my nightmares, yet at the same time, I wanted to know if it was.

"Son of a bitch!" I said as I quickly got back on my feet. I began to look around to see if there was anything we could use to open the vent cover. It didn't take me long for my eyes to lock onto a gift box just sitting on the floor.

I walked over to it and began turning the crank. My heart began to race, adrenaline coursing through my veins. I did my best to keep my fear in check, which helped heighten my senses a little bit. I anticipated for the fucking thing to hop up and shoot out confetti any moment.

Just as I predicted, the box hopped into the air, the lid flying off and confetti shooting out of the damn thing. I didn't scream like a little girl or jump in fright like I usually did when it came to these things. I reached inside and pulled out a screwdriver from the bottom of the box.

"Perfect!" I exclaimed before running over to the vent cover. I began to unscrew the screws that kept it glued to the wall.

I heard Gregory walking over to me as I did my work. My heart had begun beating rapidly in my chest as I took out the first screw. The fear I was feeling was slowly growing with each passing second. Maybe it was my imagination, but it felt like Death was looming over the both of us, mocking our effort to escape from the room that could very well be our tomb if I didn't pick up the pace.

"Hurry, Mihael!" I could Gregory cry out from behind me as I took out the second and third screws.

"I'm almost there," I said calmly as I began unscrewing. As I did, I thought I could hear a strange static noise ringing somewhere in the Pizzaplex. It felt like it was echoing in my ears, which made it difficult to get the screw.

After what felt like an eternity, I got the last screw out of the wall. I threw both the screw and the screwdriver away and removed the cover from the wall. I crawled and saw that another vent cover was blocking my way. I placed my left foot onto the cover and began to push against it. After a moment of it not budging, I kicked at the cover with all my strength. The cover went flying off the wall, allowing me to escape.

I crawled out and found myself back in the Lobby. How Vanessa had carried both me and Gregory to the Lost and Found by herself was a bit beyond me. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover. However, I couldn't help but wonder how she did it. I wasn't big, but I was a bit bulky so God only knows how much she struggled to do it.

I heard Gregory crawl out from behind before standing beside me. I felt a sharp tug on my shirt, forcing me to look at him. Gregory wasn't looking at me. Rather, he was looking to the left, his eyes wide and his face white as a sheet of paper. I looked in that same direction… and felt my heart drop to my stomach.

Skipping over to us from inside the Customer Service was a white rabbit with patches and stitches all over it, many of them made of differently colored and patterned fabrics of grey and black. A big unsettling smile was plastered on her face with large red eyes that glowed brightly. To make it worse, she wore a dark blue ribbon tied around her neck. It didn't help when I noticed that she was carrying a large kitchen knife very tightly in her right hand. I recognized her immediately; it was indeed the same rabbit I had been seeing in my nightmares.

"Are you two having fun yet?" she said in a mocking tone.

"SON OF A BITCH!" I shouted. "GREGORY, TO THE ELEVATORS! NOW!"

Gregory didn't have to be told twice. We ran as fast as we could to the elevator with the intention of using it to get back to the Atrium, skipping steps as we ran up the damn things. The static noise continued to ring in my ears, making it a bit frustrating to focus. Whatever kind of voodoo that rabbit was using, it wasn't normal.

We reached the top and ran over to the elevator. I began pushing the button rapidly as if it was going to bring the elevator to us much faster. I turned to check how close the rabbit was to us. My heart skipped a beat when I saw her starting to walk up the stairs to get to us. I kept myself calm, despite the panic that was slowly growing inside me. If I panicked now, it was only to make things a lot worse.

A ding echoed throughout the room. I looked to see the metal doors sliding open. We charged in and I pressed the button that led to the Atrium. I looked to see she was now just a few feet away from us. I prayed the doors closed in time. Just before she reached us, the doors slid closed, keeping her out. I sighed in relief as that happened.

"See you soon," she said in a childish manner.

'Creepy fucking bastard,' I thought to myself as relief had washed over me, the adrenaline that flowed through my veins slowly fading away.

"Gregory… Mihael…" suddenly came Freddy's voice from both of our Fazwatches as the elevator began to move. I looked at Gregory and saw the relief and fear present on his face.

"Freddy, help!" Gregory cried out into the watch. "The rabbit lady has found us!"

"If you both get this message, come to the Roxy Raceway entrance on the second floor," Freddy continued on as if he didn't hear what Gregory said at all. "Roxy and I piled up some boxes so the both of you can hop over the construction fence and find us. Something is jamming both of our communications signals. Please, come to the Roxy Raceway…"

"We can hear you!" I said. "We're on our way!"

We waited as the elevator moved. I was relieved to know that both Freddy and Roxanne were okay, a little more for Roxanne. I didn't know why I was. I just was. Many bad thoughts ran through my head as the worst possible scenario played out for what happened to her while Gregory and I were locked up in the Lost and Found for God knows how long. I prayed that she was okay.

A ding snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked to see the metal doors sliding open. We both walked out, stepping and entering the Atrium, a place I now thought was safe from the murderous rabbit. I looked to see if I could spot the entrance to Roxy Raceway. All I knew was that it was on the second floor thanks to Freddy, but I had no clue where it could be.

It didn't take me long to spot 2 sets of metal doors beside the glass railing that looked into Fazer Blast. I didn't know why, but something told me to go there.

"Gregory, this way," I said, pointing to the two metal doors. He nodded and we ran over to them.

As we ran, I strained my ears in the hopes of hearing anything or anyone who might be here with us. To my relief, there was no sign of anything, but I wasn't going to take any chances. My father told me that just because there is silence in situations like this does not mean that it's safe. Dangerous people can use it to their own advantage in order to catch people off-guard.

We approached the doors that might be the entrance to Roxy Raceway where Freddy and Roxanne awaited us. The doors slid open and I took a peek inside. To my utter relief, I saw the logo that read 'Roxy Raceway'. We both entered, this time walking instead of running. It was better to walk and be careful rather than just run and bump into everything.

We began walking down the path, looking for any cardboard boxes that Freddy and Roxanne stacked up so we could hop over the fence and meet them again. The entrance was dark, only lit by the neon lights that littered the room. It gave off a feeling, one that said that we didn't belong here with each turn we made. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

"Mihael, there are the boxes," I heard Gregory say, pointing to something ahead. I looked to see a pile of boxes stacked on top of each other.

We walked over to them before I gestured to Gregory to go first. He didn't hesitate. He climbed over the boxes, careful to not make them fall over. If they did, I would be wasting time by having to restack them so I could get over the fence.

After a moment, he climbed over the fence and I quickly followed after him. I took my time since I was bigger and had a much higher chance of knocking them over with just one wrong move. That was the last thing I needed to happen to me at that moment.

Eventually, I climbed over the fence where Gregory stood, waiting for me. I looked around to see if I could find any sign of them. I also took the time to survey the room. The room looked dirty and unfinished with props and tools litter the floor. Construction cones took up some spots in the corners of the room and large metal shelves took up some space on the walls. From the looks of it, it had to be some kind of sub-lobby of some kind.

It didn't take me long to find them, pointing them out to Gregory, the boy looking in that direction. Freddy was lying on the floor with Roxanne standing over him on one knee, a look of utter worry plastered on her face.

"Guys!" we shouted as we ran over to them. Roxanne and Freddy both looked in our direction. Even from a distance, I could see a look of pure relief plastered on their faces.

"Mihael!" Roxanne exclaimed.

"Gregory!" Freddy exclaimed at the same time as Roxanne got right back on her feet. We reached them and Roxanne proceeded to give me a tight hug while Gregory went to check on Freddy. "We've been so worried about you two. We haven't heard from you two for over 30 minutes. Where were you?"

"In the Lost and Found," Gregory replied. "Vanessa found us both after Mihael fainted and locked us in that room. We both narrowly escaped with our lives."

"Thanks for telling everyone that, asshole!" I gasped as the wolf mascot continued to hug me tightly. "Roxanne, can you please let me go? You're crushing me!"

"Oh, sorry!" she squeaked before finally letting go of me. I took in long, deep breaths to refill both my lungs of the much-needed deprived oxygen they both craved.

As I sucked the air, something immediately clicked in my head. The bear said something about how he and Roxanne had not been able to hear anything from us for over 30 minutes. Had we been in Lost and Found for that long? Along with that, the need to know what time it was came knocking.

"Freddy, if you and Roxanne haven't heard anything from the both of us for over 30 minutes, what time is it?" I asked.

"2:03 AM," Roxanne replied simply. "I was able to reach a recharge station for the nightly hour. However, Freddy wasn't so lucky and now his systems are failing."

2:03 AM?! That meant only one thing; Gregory and I had been locked in the Lost and Found since 1:33 AM, meaning a lot of time had passed and gone, leaving us with less than 4 hours to get Gregory out of the Pizzaplex and for me to find Lisa and bring her home. It really doesn't help that I hadn't found any sign of her, making this whole thing more frustrating.

"So, what happened?" I asked, trying to stay calm.

"We were trying to get to Parts and Service after we noticed that something was wrong," Roxanne replied. "We need to get there."

"Gregory and I can help," I said without hesitating. "So, how do we get there?"

"It is down under the main stage," Freddy replied, his voice very glitchy. "Normally, the stage lift takes me and my friends down there after every concert. That is really the only way I know how to get there."

"Use that door behind Freddy," Roxanne said, pointing. We both looked to see a metal red door that was just a few feet away from us. "It will take you both to the rehearsal room on the other side of the building. Look for a Backstage Pass then find a way to turn on the lift. I wish I could come with you, but I have to stay here and keep an eye on Freddy."
"It's no big deal, Roxanne," I said, reassuring her, understanding the reason.

"Good luck, superstars," Freddy said. "Entering rest mode."

With that, Freddy switched off, no doubt to conserve the last bit of power he probably had left. I looked at Roxanne, the both of us nodding in silent agreement.

"Come on, Gregory," I said. "Let's go."

He nodded. We began walking over to the door that might lead us to the rehearsal room where a Backstage Pass awaited us. I was bummed out that Roxanne couldn't come with us, but I respected her choice to stay and keep an eye on Freddy to make sure that nothing else went wrong with him.

I opened the door and we stepped inside. Once inside, I closed the door behind me. We began to walk to the other side of the room where I had no doubt another door awaited us. We walked around large metal crates that were blocking our way to the other side. It was a little stupid that they did that as it took a little more time to reach the metal door. Would've been better if they put them against the wall.

Once we approached it, I placed my ear against it in an attempt to hear if there was anything on the other side of the door. The last thing I was for something to get the jump on us and for one of us to get injured. I waited for a few moments to be safe. Nothing.

"Let's go in," I said. "Stay beside me, just in case."

"You got it," Gregory said. I opened the door and we both stepped inside.

Closing the door behind me, I noticed that the room was dark. I grabbed my flashlight and turned it on before surveying the room. The room itself looked to be huge with metal shelves filled with all kinds of junk a few feet away from us. To the left was a small room filled with shoes racks and lockers, no doubt for the crew that came down. The room was barely lit by the overhead lights that hung on the ceiling, making it almost impossible to see without a flashlight.

"Let's get moving," I said, turning to look at Gregory. "Let's be as quiet as possible at not alert anything that could be in here with us."

He nodded his head in agreement. With that, we began to navigate the room to find a way out. The beam of the flashlight lighting our way forward. Our footsteps were very light and quiet, making it very difficult for others who might be looking for us to hear the footsteps.

"Where are you kiddies?" I heard a familiar voice call out. I felt my heart skip a beat. I grabbed Gregory and hid next to a metal box that sat on the shelf. I turned off the flashlight and looked over it.

Skipping childishly at the other side was the rabbit lady. Her red eyes shone through the darkness like an ominous beacon in the night. I watched her carefully to see what she would do. Her head slowly turned in my direction. I hid behind the box and turned on the watch's security cameras. I clicked until I found the right one. I could see the rabbit looking around for anyone who was in the room. I prayed that she would move and that she didn't see me.

As if my prayers were answered, the rabbit began moving away to the other side. I turned off the cameras and gestured to Gregory to follow me. He nodded and we slowly walked over to the other side of the shelf. Once there, I peeked to see where she was. There were no signs of her. I wasn't going to be fooled. I also noticed a hallway at the far end of the room. I sighed, a silly idea coming into my mind.

"Gregory," I whispered, looking at him. "Climb onto my back. I'm going to make a run for it." He gave me a look that said 'are you crazy'. "Just trust me."

He hesitated for a moment before he did what he was told, wrapping his arms around my neck. Without hesitation, I began to run as fast as I could, holding onto his legs. My footsteps echoed very loudly in the room, giving away my position. To top it off, the air was whipping against my face. I knew I was fast, but I really wasn't this fast.

"There you are!" I heard someone shout from behind me. I didn't stop to turn around. I picked up the pace.

I ran down the hallway without bothering to look behind me. I knew right away that she was following us. I wasn't going to let the son of a bitch get her hands on Gregory. Not on my watch.

We reached the end of the hallway and I began running down the next one. As I ran, I noticed something in particular. I wasn't at all tired nor were my lungs on fire for running so much. How the hell it was possible blew my mind. I strained my ears to hear any sign of the rabbit running after us. Her footsteps were getting much fainter as I ran down further into the hallway.

As I ran, I could see a set of double metal doors at the far end of the hallway. A glimmer of hope shined deep in my chest. All I needed was to reach the end and we both might have reached our destination. I picked up the pace and began approaching the door very quickly. As we ran, I could no longer hear the rabbit following after us. From the sound of it, because I was too fast, she must've given up. I was grateful that she had, though something told me to be careful.

We reached the double doors and I kicked them both open. The doors swung open, hitting the walls violently. I stepped into the room before letting Gregory back down on his feet. Gregory looked at me with shock in his eyes.

"How can you run that fast?" he asked.

I shrugged. "Don't know. Guess you can thank the adrenaline boost. Save both of our asses. Now, Freddy and Roxanne said we should be able to find a Backstage Pass around here somewhere. Let's look for it."

He nodded and we began to look around the room. The room was large with bleachers for people to sit on and a few soft-looking couches along with them. Next to the bleachers was a whiteboard that had strange drawings on it with a few desks next to it. There was no doubt about it; this was the Backstage room.

Gregory ran to the other end of the room while I stayed where I was for a few moments. In all my years coming here, I had never been in the Backstage room before. It was messy with all the stuff all over the place. It was amazing that this room could be used in the state it was in.

I began to survey the room for any signs of that pass. As I did, I could feel the excitement and happiness that flowed through this room for any kid that came in here to see them perform in this room instead of the stage.

"Mihael, I found it!" I heard Gregory cry out. I looked to see him approaching me with a pass in his hand, the Backstage Pass. "Now, we should be able to find the lift controls."

"Nicely done," I said. "Now, let's get the hell out of here."

He nodded and we began approaching a door at the far end of the room. We walked over to it and I forced it open. We stepped through a tiny hallway, probably the tiniest one I had ever seen in my life before opening the next door. We stepped into the room, the door closing behind us. I surveyed the room and immediately recognized it. The familiar neon lights and decorations, along with the green rooms told me where we were; Rockstar Row.

"How the fuck…" I muttered.

"Well, I guess that's one way to get to this room, huh," I heard Gregory say sarcastically. I looked around and noticed a door that a red label next to it that read 'TO STAGE CONTROLS / AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY',

I put the flashlight away and began walking over to it, hearing Gregory following after me. I opened the door and we stepped inside, hoping that it was the room that had the lift controls. Instead, right in front of us was a large metal staircase leading upstairs to where the room was with the controls.

'How many times do we have to keep climbing these fucking stairs?' I thought to myself in annoyance. 'This place must love having all these stairs it seems.'

We walked up the stairs, the metal steps creaking from under us. Although this place looked new, the stairs themselves sounded like they were going to collapse under us at any given moment. If that were to happen, the both of us would be in big trouble.

It took us a moment to reach the top of the stairs. I looked to see a set of doors, the both of them having different instruments implanted on them. We walked over to the door with the pink guitar and the door opened. We walked through a small rectangular room before the door in front opened. We stepped inside. I was amazed at what I was seeing.

The area was a large square-shaped room with large glass windows on the left and right walls and a rectangular wall in the center filled with monitors and computers of the kind. Each side had some kind of strange computers with buttons that did God knows what. This must be the room where the lift controls were.

"Look at this place," Gregory said in awe.

"I know, it's huge," I said. "Let's find the lift controls."

With that, we began searching. I did my best to understand what I was looking at, to no avail. All of them had to do something, but I had no idea which of them controlled the lift. I didn't want to risk touching any of the buttons for the risk of something very bad happening. None of us needed that crap.

Suddenly, the room was filled with blaring noises and red lights. I resisted the urge to cover my ears out of instinct. I mentally groaned at this crap. As if we didn't have much to worry about tonight.

"Mihael, I found something," I heard Gregory call out from all the way to the other side of the room. I walked over there and saw him holding two objects in his hands; a security badge and a disk. "I found this in the Freddy head and this disk next to it. What do you think it could be for? It looks… old."

"Have no idea," I said. "Let's ask Freddy when we meet up with him and Roxanne again."

"Gregory? Mihael?" we heard Freddy's voice.

'Speak of the Devil,' I thought to myself. We looked to see him and Roxanne on the monitors looking at us.

"What did you two do?" he asked. "Something happened. Roxy and I can communicate again. I think you boys fixed our signals. Thank you."

"We can see you guys on the monitors," I said with a smile. "I didn't think you could stand up after what happened, Freddy."

"Consider it a second wind," Freddy said with a smile. It was nice to see him back on his feet. Looks like entering rest mode helped him out, at least a little bit.

"Mihael, look!" Gregory cried out. I looked to see Chica heading for one of the doors. I looked at the other one on the other side of the door and saw Montgomery doing the same.

"Shit!" I shouted out loud.

"What is it?" Roxanne asked, concern in her tone.

"Freddy, Roxanne," I began. "Gregory and I can see both Chica and Montgomery on the cameras! They're both coming to the office!"

"What?!" Roxanne cried out in fear.

"Do not let them in!" Freddy urged. "The security doors are all equipped with electrical deterrents. If you see them banging on the doors, hit the appropriate button. The shock should stun them."

"Okay, but how do we get out of here, Freddy?!" Gregory asked, fear present in his tone.

"Do you see the large vent in the floor?" Roxanne asked. "Mihael might be standing right on top of it."

I looked underneath my feet to see that I was indeed standing on top of a large vent cover. The fact that the vent just happened to be there was like a miracle for us.

"I see it!" I replied. "I am standing on top of it!"

"If we can reach that room underneath you," Roxanne continued, "Freddy and I should be able to force the vent cover open and let you boys out."

"All the doors appear to be on lockdown," Freddy said. "Hmm… Look for us on the monitors. If you see us waving, push the button in front of the corresponding monitor to open the door."

I nodded and was about to say something when the monitors all went static. I looked at the monitors for a few seconds before a very familiar face appeared on the screens, one that made my blood turn to ice. It was the rabbit.

"There you boys are," she said. "See you soon!"

The monitors returned to normal, each of them showcasing different rooms of the Mega Pizzaplex. It didn't help that I caught sight of a timer on one of the screens that read 'Emergency Lockdown: 5:00'. Underneath were the words 'Room Power'. It didn't take me to fully understand what that meant; in 5 minutes, the room would lose power and the doors would open, allowing anyone and anything to come inside and get Gregory and me.

I walked over to Gregory, who was standing still like a statue, frozen in terror. I shook him to snap him out of his trance. It took a moment, but Gregory finally snapped out of it. I forced him to look at me.

"Gregory, I need you to stay calm and listen to me," I began to say. "Freddy and Roxanne are both on the way to our rescue. All we have to do is hold off Chica and Montgomery long enough for them to reach us."

"Okay, what do we do?!" he cried out. I thought about it for a moment before an idea came to mind. If we followed through with this plan, we would be out of this room in no time.

"I will deal with Chica and Montgomery," I began to say. "While I deal with them, keep an eye out for Freddy and Roxanne. If you see them waving, push the button on the monitor you see them to open the door. We do this, we will get out of here safely."

Gregory thought about it for a moment. I waited for his response, despite the fact that we were in grave danger. It didn't take long for a smirk to form on his face.

"Let's do it," he said and we immediately set the plan into motion to get out of this alive. "Mihael, Chica at the first door!"

I ran over to it and pushed the button. Volts of electricity flowed throughout the door. I heard a loud squawking sound, telling me that she just got the shock of her life. I didn't breathe a sigh of relief. Something told me that she wasn't going to give up until she got inside the room.

"Gotcha," I whispered to myself.

"Mihael, Monty at the second door!" Gregory exclaimed. I ran over to it and repeated the process. I heard Montgomery crying out as if he were in agony.

"Nice try, Manny," I joked. "Any news on Freddy and Roxanne?"

"I just opened one of the doors," he said. "They're getting closer to us."

"Good," I said. "Keep going."

For 2 minutes, Gregory and I worked together to make it out of the room. Gregory alerted me to Chica or Montgomery banging on each of the doors while he helped push the button to open the door that Freddy and Roxanne were at. It wasn't easy, but it was proving to be very effective in keeping those buggers from trying to get into the room.

I pushed the button at the second door to the right, shocking the chicken once again. I couldn't help but smirk in pride at how we were managing to pull this off. I checked the timer and saw that we only had about 2 minutes and 32 seconds left on the clock. I could only they would get here fast enough.

Loud metallic footsteps echoed throughout the room. We walked over to the vent cover and looked down the vent in time to see both Freddy and Roxanne hop up and grab the vent cover. With a bit of effort, they both managed to remove the cover.

"Jump down, Gregory!" Freddy cried out from below. Gregory didn't hesitate. He jumped down and Freddy caught with ease. Roxanne took his spot and held out her arms.

"Your turn, Mihael!" she cried out. I hesitated, realizing that I was going to fall into her arms. I snapped out of it and jumped out of the room, Roxanne catching me with ease before me back down on the floor.

"Thanks, guys," I said.

"Don't mention it," Roxanne said.

"We're sorry," Gregory began. "We couldn't find any lift controls. All we found was this… disk thing."

"Follow me to the Atrium," Freddy said, clutching his stomach as if he had run a mile. "That is a program disk for the stage show. If you and Mihael use it in the sound booth, you should be able to run a showtime program, which will activate the lift."

"Lead the way, Freddy," I said. He nodded. With that, he began to lead us out of the tunnel.

As Freddy began leading us out of the tunnel, I felt Roxanne wrap her hand around mine. I looked to see her looking at me with a tiny smile. I just stared at her for a moment before looking away as the heat returned to my cheeks. We began walking after the bear mascot in the direction of the Atrium.
