A Player's View of Gabriel's Magic by galeblaze
Disclaimer: This is just my view on what the highest forms of each type of magic would be by what we currently have, and so may be inaccurate.
Cyromancy:
Frost gathers on all surfaces, enemies consumed by unending blizzards, the grasp of winter never releasing anything that it has obtained. To fight me is to be ripped to shreds or to be frozen solid.
Necromancy:
You are fighting an army, and each time your people die, my legions of the Undead get even stronger. To fight me is to fight Legions that will never tire, nor shall they weaken.
Malomancy:
You are fighting one who controls how the die can fall. Events change and shift to my will, there is no way to escape my power. To fight me is to be fighting one who decrees what fate is.
Umbramancy:
I am multi-faceted. I can move here and there in an instant, I can store a legion's worth of materials on me at all times, and I can adapt to many circumstance. To fight me is to fight the primordial chaos, for I can change what I am doing to completely suit the situation.

I'm a trash non-writer writer who remembered maids get jealous and I don't know how this site works, and I don't know shit about 1st/2nd/3rd person perspective writing, let's fuckin' go.
Omake idea is that Gabriel has been spending time with other souls too much, and the maids decide to take matters into their own hands after a triple lewd crit sends the soul palace time dilation into overdrive, giving them all the time they need for their lewd revenge to unfold. If a superior writer wants to do an actually good version have at it.
--
Gabriel enters the Soul Palace and begins to hear a strange song playing.
https//watch?v=j9V78UbdzWI
Four maids approach crawling with a coffin balanced on their shoulders. A fifth maid is lying in the coffin striking a seductive pose. Ninja maids striking from behind leave Gabriel quickly stripped and tossed into the coffin by a group of rapidly multiplying maids. The random souls inhabiting the soul palace are forced to line up in two rows and watch as Gabriel dicks down maid after maid as the coffin dance procession commences.
The freshly fucked maids begin T-posing to assert dominance on the other souls taking up so much of Gabriel's time, using the near frozen passage of time to their advantage. Then, everything changed when the slime maids attacked. The coffin dance quickly turns into a roller coaster of lewdness without an end in sight. Gabriel sensing defeat quickly summons his secret weapon, big mommy milkers full of stamina potion, straight from the titties of his semblance. For 100 days and 100 nights does Gabriel sally forth, undaunted, unbowed, unbroken, until the maids are satisfied, first palace maids, then the slime maids, then the palace maids again.
When the final orgasm is thrust, for a single moment, as if back to back natty 100's have been rolled, he achieves a moment of self-transcendence, and realizes Soul Palace maids are best waifus.

Water Witch
The storm rages on around you. Sure, you have seen worse storms, hell you have CREATED worse storms. But this storm unnerves you for a single fact, you cannot control it. It might sound strange but after having the power to alter the weather at will for months, reaching the point where you can make effects out of fantasy a reality, not being able to command the clouds above you is jarring. Like having a limb cut off.
'Gabe are you sure this is going to work?' You can feel Sarah's worry through her mind, getting her to sit out was one hell of a fight, but you will be damned if any of the girls are here for this while pregnant. Of your spawn only Kate and Okita are here, Sherrell remote controlling the Truck with Lea having taken over your turrets, but all your thralls are present.
The Undersiders standing with an actual army of dogs behind them, Taylor, Emily, and Ethan leading groups of your mooks armed with ion weapons, Aisha among them wearing some basic power armor. Hell, the Valkyries were already at the medical tents ready to heal as needed. You just claimed that Priestess was a grab-bag trump that could give weaker versions of her power to others, sure the increased interest is going to suck, but after what you have planned for today that ship is pretty much sailed.
'No clue sis, but I don't have any other ideas that don't involve turning into a dragon and reducing the city to glass, the divinations show this is our best shot' You sent her the sensation of a kiss, and you could feel her pouting at you from the safehouse in the city outskirts.
You feel Phillip walking around the camp, his latest evolution allowed him to set his power on a delay, ensnaring people into the hivemind without their knowledge until the command went out. By now you had every cape present, Hero and Villain alike, from Kaiser to Alexandria. Around you Emita, Kyron and Yoshi, while deep underground Buffer was hard at work enhancing every Crypt present.
You are up in your perch astride a flying platform held up by Remnants anti-gravity tech, it had already been patched to the communication network by Dragon, Henley helping a small group of Thinkers direct the entire thing. Today people finally got an idea of the sheer number of capes that the Crypts could bring forth, and they were terrified, by the end that would be the least worrisome thing about the gang. Alice is there next to you on her own flying platform, of course she put her own spin to it, which is why she's riding a, anti-grav surfboard powered by multiple fusion cores and covered in specialized grenade launchers you helped her build, her Aura covering the whole thing.
The rain keeps falling around you as you do what you can to lessen the storm but turns out trying to outmuscle the second strongest hydrokinetic you have ever met is difficult, still not as mopey as the other one. You have some options for fighting Leviathan, but all of them result in too much collateral damage or the risk of getting your people killed. You could turn into your monster form and lead it on a merry chase around the city, if you didn't mind the whole place sinking like Kyushu. You could pull out your enhanced version of Lung and get on a full-on slug match, but the state would likely end up glassed. You could throw endless hordes of undead at it until it got bored and left if you had the damn biomass for it and your divinations hadn't told you it was doomed to fail.
No, for this fight you will have to get creative. You have a new school of magic you obtained in Earth Rapture, the world you went to afterwards was incredibly suited for training this magic as people and reality in that earth seemed fueled by the same concept. It would take set up, divinations used to plan every step of the coming fight, every moment planned and coordinated, but it is your best chance at victory.
Legend starts his speech, as Phillip ensnares the last of the capes on the field and you finish setting up the tech you need for this magic to really hit its maximum potential, learning to turn off the technology destroying aspects was incredibly useful. Yoshi sits in front a set of drums, Emita holding a guitar and Kiron mirroring her, while you looked at the controls and the mic in front of you. Your music skills already being shared among the group even as you prepared your spells.
You flip the switches and take hold of the controls, you decide to drop a message to your troops… your family, before this mess starts 'Ok everyone, show is about to begin, remember we have medical pods on standby if necessary, and you all have an emergency beacon for Imp if you need it. I am going to say this only once, this is a direct order people. You. Are. Not. Allowed. To. Die. If any of you does, I will literally reach into hell itself to beat you up before dragging you back here to apologize to everyone else for the headache' You could feel the chuckles across the network, hell you could see Alec outright laughing as Grue facepalmed and Rachel just nodded, her dogs starting to grow 'and remember the chorus is the most important part.'
Miss Militia POV
You look around as you prepare for the coming battle, the Wards passing around armbands to all the attending capes. They should not be here, but you know that if anyone tried to force them to stay away, they would just join the fight anyways. Instead of worrying about kids fighting a battle no one should have to fight you decide to focus on the fight itself.
Dauntless stands next to you, along with the rest of the Blaster group. "How you holding you up?" Shawn looks worried, not that you can blame him. He looks around the congregated capes and there is only one conclusion he can reach "I'm fine, this is what I have been training for, on a separate note we certainly underestimated Cain."
That is one hell of an understatement, the crypts had shown up with more capes than you thought any one group could have, their Tinkers were strewn around the field wearing equipment that looked on the level of Dragon suits, a young man wearing power armor that looked like everything Kid Win had ever wanted to build, a man inside of a towering suit of armor that looked like it could wrestle Behemoth and walk away, the giant Truck covered in weaponry and surrounded by robots, seems the rumors about Squealer were true, though you guess its 'Charon' now.
"We certainly did"
The other gangs were gone, Kaiser was still around with Crusader and the Twins, but Hookwolf was gone, Purity was a Crypt now. The ABB had been dead for weeks since Cain ate Lung. A few out-of-town groups had tried to enter the Bay, they ended up the same way as the Yangban who attacked Cain, crucified as art pieces as a message "This is my city". Now here they stood, the heroes, the few remaining villains, and whatever the hell the Crypts had become.
"Legend is starting his speech" You are shaken out of your thoughts as Shawn points out Legend walking up to the stage.
Legend clears his throat. He has the kind of voice that you listened to, "We owe thanks to Dragon and Armsmaster for their early alert. We've had time to gather, and that means we have just a few more minutes to prepare and brief for Leviathan's arrival, instead of jumping straight into the fray as we arrive. With this advantage, some luck, teamwork, and hard effort from everyone, I hold out hope that this could be one of the good days."
A bit more hopeful than the ones he tends to give at these things, maybe he feels like there's a chance?
"But you should know your chances going in. Given the statistics from our previous encounters with this beast, a 'good day' still means that one in four of the people in this room will probably be dead before this day is done."
Or maybe not…
"We think of Leviathan as the middle child; he was the second of the three to arrive. He is not the physical powerhouse Behemoth is, nor the cunning manipulator that the Simurgh so often proves to be. That said, I would advise you to think of him as having many of the strengths of both siblings at once. You've seen the videos on television and the internet. You know what he is physically capable of. I want to be clear that despite the image he might convey, he is not stupid, and he can display a level of cunning and tactics that can and will catch you off guard."
He keeps going with the same speech he's given at thousand times, and you start to zone out a little, the same fatalistic speech, the same faces of resolve, it's depressing how similar it is. Once more Shawn shakes you out of your thoughts.
https//watch?v=etAIpkdhU9Q
"Hey, do you hear that?" He started looking around confused.
"Hear what?" you strain, and you can't really hear much over the rain and Legend, but you think you hear it now.
"Bells?"
Everyone around you seems to have noticed the sound, even Legend stopped talking and is looking around. People were already tense, and this is not helping, but you notice something odd, none of the Crypts react, and curiously neither do the Undersiders.
Suddenly you all heard it, the thrumming of a guitar and the beat of a drum. Up in his Tinkertech platform Cain and 3 of his capes are playing music.
Legend floats up until he was on eye level with the cannibal "Cain what do you think you are doing?" He seemed more annoyed than angry; you guess that even in New York they are starting to become used to the ridiculousness that is Cain. Off to the side you see the Crypts smiling, with the Undersiders siding closer and closer to them. The small army of dogs Hellhound brought starting to grow.
"Well Legend it's quite simple, I am hijacking this fight!" He didn't stop playing even as he made his ridiculous declaration.
"Are you intending to break the Truce Cain?" Legend glows a little to drive the point home as everyone holds their breath.
"Oh, I would not dream of it, no I simply have determined that you cannot be trusted to properly lead, manage or even opine upon this fight, so I'm taking over."
"What makes you think you are in any way shape or form qualified to lead an Endbringer battle Cain? Especially since you have never fought one before" Legend sounded as exasperated as you and the other locals felt, Cain's flair for the dramatic was well known.
"For one, I am the only one to have noticed the tsunami that is going to impact this location in about 15 seconds" Cain lazily extends an arm towards the ocean, and everyone turns. You can all see the wall of water heading in your direction.
It was titanic, like the fist of an angry god descending upon you all, the armbands blare warnings as Dragon desperately tries to get people to run to safety or brace for impact, Teleporters start taking groups of people away to other locations. In the middle of the Pandemonium the Crypts very calmly walk over to Hellhounds dogs, and simply get on top of them, like an army of demented knights.
And then Cain speaks again.
"Second, I can do this" You feel your vision fragment and expand, it should be disorienting, but instead you feel as though you have been blinded your whole life. You see hundreds of viewpoints, from every single cape in the area, from every civilian around, and you feel like you understand how they are all going to move.
Your vision narrows down to Legend's point of view, and you see Cain's face morph and twist into canine features. "And I can do this" He starts to sing. A portal rips open in between the congregated paces and the wave, and a clawed, bright red hand reaches out. A monstrosity easily 50 feet tall, humanoid with massive, curved horns and mighty bat wings, pulls itself out the portal and breaths a torrent of fire at the wave. Instead of burning you all alive in the steam of the wave the fire consumes the matter itself, reducing the wave to nothingness.
Cain laughs and you all hear him address the monstrous parahuman "You know the deal Izud! Stop the waves and the water spears until the battle is done and you get your payment!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we both read the contract Cain, just leave it to me and my boys" As he speaks more creatures emerge from the portal, smaller, barely taller than yourself, armed with weapons made of black metal and strange Tinkertech.
"As for the rest of you, time to begin the show."
You feel heat filling your body, as even as the song continues and Cain sings you hear his voice inside your head 'Ok people, we have a very angry lizard rushing in this direction and I just cockblocked it, all of you currently have a hefty brute rating on top of whatever you started with, just go along with the feelings and you will survive, fight them and I make no promises as to your chances against the worlds wettest newt!'
The energy coursing through you intensifies further and further and you feel it flow down your arm to your weapon. You see a shape and it feels… right. You gun starts elongating, it turns into a rifle of some sort, metal plates and lines of light along its length, and you feel something click. You can't miss, you will always hit your target, and the damage will be glorious. "V4M-PYR3 2.0".
You look through hundreds of eyes and you see, Leviathan has arrived.
Gabe POV
You keep blaring out the song as hard as you can, the connection with Phillip keeping you appraised of the battlefield, even as you pour all your focus into what must be your most ridiculous brand of magic to date.
Fucking Music Magic.
You thought you had reached the pinnacle of insanity when you started summoning literal demons from hell, but then you had to go and eat one too many Axis veterans hiding in Earth Rapture. You went into your cocoon for 2 weeks and when you came out you suddenly had the power to alter reality with music.
Now this by itself would not be the strangest thing, all your powers, and especially your magic, fuck with reality in various way, breaking it and putting it back together in a shape you like. However, Music Magic (yes, the capitals are needed) does something unique, it uses the rest of your powers to put on a show. The very first spell you learnt was how to make musical instruments, then how to make your music permeate a space, and then you learnt how to turn your music shows into gigantic magic rituals capable of integrating and augmenting all your other magics and powers in crazier and crazier ways as the shows escalate into continent shaking parties of sheer joy and power. One of these things is not like the others.
The longer your show goes one the stronger its effects, the more people witness it and join in the grander the power and the bigger the production value? Well, you get the idea. That is why you currently are using Phillip to enthrall every single cape in the bay, all of your Tinkers combined to create your floating stage, and, with the CCT technology you took form Remnant, are broadcasting this entire show to every device in both Bet and Aleph capable of receiving a radio signal, all being edited in real time by a team of specialized aura minions being supported by Weiss, Yang, Ruby and Pyrrah.
By the connection you have turned the capes into part of the show, and as such started sharing powers of some of your spawn and your own among them, reduced versions but enough to give them an edge.
By the proper song you were able to open a portal large enough to allow the Pit Fiend you traded a true soul and 6 refined souls to for his help in this battle.
By the spreading of your various robots, you have turned the entirety of Brockton Bay into part of the stage, skyrocketing the production value as a good chunk of them are going to be broken by the end of the fight, and by the broadcast you have turned over 10 billion people into fans, your cursed songs demanding the sing along to your tunes. Now all you need to do is delay, keep the fight going for a certain amount of time for your final song, the only application of your powers you could think of that would remove Leviathan without crippling the Bay. You need Leviathan to escalate enough for the show to demand its climax, you need to make it spectacular.
So you keep playing, for another 30 minutes you blasted song after song, empowering the capes around you beyond. The coordination brought by Phillip and the thinkers minimizing the casualties, the mix of Valkyries and a half a dozen Autodocs pumping them back into the fight. Liberal use of your teleporter reducing the need for evacuations as the armbands provided the coordinates for an instance of the Thinker to trigger extraction.
'Amy, Blasto the two of you better be done with the templates, because you are out of time.'
'Ready to go Cain, just call it forth.'
'Missiles and weapons integrated effectively Gabe'
Time for phase 2.
Alexandria POV
You dodge to the side, the enhanced perception of a Ward watching the fight shared by the Trump effect Cain has you all under. You swipe at Leviathans overextended arm with your new claws, as durable as you and supernaturally sharp. The …"demons" that Cain summoned are flying around, the big one stopping the waves while the smaller ones are blocking spears of water that Leviathan is throwing at the defenders, a new escalation from the monster. Above you all Eidolon is constantly blasting Leviathan with a gravity manipulation power, slowing down the monster fractionally, letting more hits go in, causing it to stumble. His perspective shared with all as you feel Cains music conduct you all.
Every time the beast has tried to reach Cains stage objects around him would interfere, seems the rumors about what happened to Rune are true, but this level of power was never recorded from her. The parallels to the Simurgh can't be ignored, the perfect precision telekinesis with borderline probability manipulation blocking attacks, the portals bringing in monsters to help, just like Wisconsin, and the song. Sure, Cain has better taste than the Simurgh, and there is a clear connection between the music and what happens, but still the comparison is there.
This has so far been the Endbringer fight with the least casualties to date, only about 10 people have died, and you could see their perspectives, you know it was only because they ignored the whispers and instincts the hive mind provided. Dear god you were supposed to be joking when you said Cain was a super entity!
You pull back as another of Skitters monstruos minions uses you as a springboard to jump unto Leviathans face, just in time for the Tinker on the surfboard to explode herself to accelerate faster than anyone short of legend, and drop a small cluster of bombs that explode to move themselves unto Leviathans face. Even as you feel the thought process behind the plan you know it won't really hurt or kill him, just delay him even more, push him to another level of escalation in preparation for something.
Suddenly you feel a blaring sense of dread in your mind, and you know that anyone without a Brute rating of at least 8, Trump immunity or a Breaker state within 20 meters of the Endbringer is about to die. Everyone around you suddenly uses their new Mover power, those too slow teleported out by the Crypts system, to superspeed away from the monster, but Skitters monsters remain in range to distract it. You see the monsters explode as Leviathan takes control of their blood. Another new power, how long have they just been playing with you like a cat with a mouse?
'Ok people we are into phase 2! Everyone who can't survive that and lacks a ranged power pick up a rifle from the pile at the medical tents and fire when you get a cue.'
https//watch?v=0RVeo79yfw0
Then you see them, enormous portals of shadow being summoned by various capes near Cain's floating stage. From the portals emerge piles of titanic bones, each taller than Leviathan, that's when Cain starts his new song. Baleful green smoke pours out of his mouth as the music rages on. The smoke floats towards the piles of bones and infuses itself into them, strange runes cover the bones as 5 bright lights emerge from Cain's back.
Each of the lights floats to one of the piles of bones, and they start to twitch, the bones rattle and shake as they float and connect to each other. Titanic, twice Leviathans height, 2 of them sporting enormous swords, one with one a massive missile protruding from its back and the other 2 a draconic being and a wolf like biped.
You feel the creatures get added to the connection and nearly recoil, they are sapient, all 5 of them are thinking beings but their minds are filled with one singular purpose, War. War beyond thought, War beyond death, these things won't survive the day, hell they won't survive the next 10 minutes, they are burning through some esoteric energy to exist on this level, while they last, they will be incredible. But more importantly? They are all bone, no flesh, no blood. 'He planned for this.'
Even Leviathan paused to watch this macabre spectacle, but you are all jarred out of your thoughts as the massive truck Charon made is covered in a bright green light and unleashes a barrage upon Leviathan, turrets popping out from every nearby building and pelting the Endbringer with disintegrating blasts. With that all hell breaks lose as the creatures of Bone rush the Endbringer and the battle resumes.
You dash in to assist, punching Leviathan on the side before it can get back up as the sword wielding minions rush in. Their blades shine with a bright light, and they stab into Leviathan, piercing a few feet into the beast, before an explosion rings out at the points of impact staggering the beast back. You jump up, giving the crypt girl with the giant sword a boost to strike at Leviathan, sinking her sword deep into the beast's shoulder, nearly severing its arm. You both dodge under its tail, as well as the crystalline rocket fired from the demonic looking skeleton, it impacts Leviathan, and you see it slow down, as though it was moving through molasses.
A massive blast hits it from behind as Cains right hand woman fires an oversized version of the Crypt laser cannons. You jump to hold down the creature's right leg, the draconic skeleton bites down the left, the wolf like skeleton takes the left arm and both swordsmen stab into the tail to hold it down, the creature forced unto its belly, Assault and another cape you don't recognize wearing Crypt colors jump in and hold down the right arm. The girl then gets to work on the shoulder, constant firing from every other cape using the Crypt rifles causing the Endbringer to be pockmarked with holes, Legend flying above raining laser fire and Eidolon adding in his gravity to pin the beast, chop after chop, as the demons block the spears of water and start to pop under leviathans Hydrokinesis. With a final heaving chop, the arm comes free and Leviathan screeches in fury. Eidolon attempts to continue holding it down with the enhanced gravity as well as bolts of lightning he's calling down from the storm above, but it's not enough. Leviathan breaks off from the skeletons and shatters them in but an instant, they buy you and the other capes enough time to be teleported out by the Crypts machines.
Leviathan stands there staggering under it's wounds, covered in holes and missing an arm. Cains current piece approaches it's climax and you see the bone shards of the creatures rise and spin around Leviathan like a tornado before they all turn into blades of bone and impale all over the Endbringer, shining white. The resulting detonation causes a visible bubble to form in the rain, and then the water stops.
Leviathan stands back up, fully straight without its usual hunch, wounds quickly healing. All water on the battlefield has stopped moving, the rain stopped falling and you look up. The sky quieted, but the clouds are still there. Every drop of water rushes up to the sky where the clouds have gathered in a single spot. A single titanic drop of water, you estimate its radius at about 2 miles, if that thing drops forget about Brockton, the resulting explosion and subsequent flood would destroy most of the east coast and ruin hundreds of kilometers of land. The ecological effects alone would send the country into a catastrophic famine.
Why? They have never pushed this hard before, with this amount of damage it should have fled by now, did it not kill enough for its taste? Did it want to destroy more of the city? Was it after something?
But among all the questions you ask yourself there is one you fear to voice, because if you do you will lose all hope. 'Can we even win? Against the entities, who think of these creatures as simple weapons, what hope do we have?'
The entire battlefield freezes as they see the drop, the calculations from thinkers and dread from the more intelligent capes filtering through the hivemind. That's when you hear a laugh.
Cain POV
You take in large gulps of air, for the first time in your un-life exhausted, there is no actual physiological need, is all part of the show, and oh how this magic loves a good show. Learning the ins and outs of this magic was a challenge, if it hadn't been for the people in the last world you visited, you would have taken much longer to figure it out.
It was easily your most peaceful jump to date, you drank nothing but animals while you were there, hell you only seduced 6 people, and only one of them was a teenager! To be fair the other 5 were all shapeshifters and one of them was a 2 for 1 special, weirdest 3-way of your life.
A solid month of just relaxing and hanging out with your sister in a lovely tourist trap city on the beach. Sure fighting the random monsters that popped up was interesting, but overall you just relaxed and played music. It was in that idyllic world that you met the key to your victory, the core idea behind your entire show today, to summon, just for an instant, her.
You started laughing as Leviathan threatened you all with water turned into a WMD, it was cute. "A single storm, Leviathan, that is what you command, let me show you the power of a true Goddess of Water" You take out a simple guitar as you desummon your souls, this was the soft closer, the climax had been reached and this was the farewell. Soft notes, a calm voice, a powerful image.
https//watch?v=gQKEZ7hTlx0
You sing, and she comes. A construct of blue light forms in front of you. Just like you remember her, soft, elegant, dangerous. Her wings of water letting her float as you temporarily summon her from beyond the veil of worlds.
She opens her eyes and glares at the beast, chains shoot down from the water drop, encasing Leviathan, his command over water superseded on a planetary scale. Lapis looks back at you and grins before turning back to Leviathan, she gestures up and speaks.
"Get off my planet."
Leviathan rockets up into the drop. You gesture with your hand and the surface of the entire sphere freezes into supernaturally hard ice, the last of the Music's magic being used up.
Leviathan and the frozen drop shoot out of earth's atmosphere, collision course to the sun, at 5 times the speed of light. Silence reigns.
Her body starts to fade as the show ends, retuning to her home. Of course, it wouldn't be Lapis if she didn't gift you with a small headache before leaving.
"You better come visit soon Gabe, all the girls miss having you around." Everyone in the battlefield, and in both earths hears her clearly, few people can do sultry like people capable to altering planets on a whim.
The battlefield is silent as people just stare at where the strongest hydrokinetic in any world used to stand, after jettisoning the pretender away. Only Dragon dares speak.
