- Brief sum up about what happened between Lillian, Sam, Dean and John when Sam went to Stanford.
- Things about Lillian are revealed
Present Day
Lillian was hunting on her own for a while now. Specifically she started a few months after Sam left for Stanford. Hunting wasn't the same without Sam. She butt heads with John way too much. Dean would pick sides with him too often, rarely choosing hers. It was easier having Sam around. Sam always defended her no matter what. Even when she was wrong, he would look for a way for her to be right.
Lillian gave a whole explanation speech saying how she's an adult now, an adult woman, and she needs freedom to find herself and all that. In reality she had to get away from John. He was too obsessive with finding out what killed their mother. They will find it one day but they won't find it if they get themselves killed first. Dean was understanding about her leaving. More understanding than he was about Sam going to college. Lillian always thought it was because she was still hunting so she wasn't abandoning the family business or their way of life so being dragged back to them wouldn't be a hassle. Dean went off to do solo hunts all the time so he gets it. John blew up at her though. She thought he was going to beat her, as if he hadn't stooped that low before. He screamed until a vein was bulging out of his forehead. Saying how she needs to stay and she's not strong enough to go off alone without them. That she'll wind up dead. She had just laughed at him and he told her he didn't want to see her again.
That was 3 years ago. Now Lillian is walking up to the door of her motel room after wrapping up a hunt on a shifter in Boulder City, Nevada. She is slightly annoyed because it took longer than it should've but she got it done. Unlocking the door and stepping in, she sees a familiar face sitting on her bed going through her bag.
"What are you doing?" She asked roughly grabbing her bag away.
"Curious what you got in there, you pack so much" Gabriel answered.
"I always have to be prepared for everything." She said wide eyed.
He looked at her like she had three heads. Sometimes he forgets she is still getting used to her powers and what she can do. She could easily snap her fingers and have anything she wants. She could destroy anything if she truly desired. She was more dangerous than anyone could comprehend, she cannot become weaponized. That's why he must protect her. From others and herself.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"Can't your daddy pay his lil daughter a visit from time to time?" Gabriel asked with an innocent look on his face shrugging. She sighed and sat at the table, "Of course you can dad, I just wasn't expecting you."
"Sorry about that.. How are the powers holdings up? Discover anything new?"
When Lillian was still in the womb Gabriel suppressed her grace in a way that only he could bring forth again since he is the angel that sired her. It was complicated but it had to be done. If it didn't then her birth would've killed her mother. Lillian couldn't have the powers of a nephilim at such a young age, let alone the one who's the offspring of an archangel. Gabriel didn't know how she would turn out and had to move about it all very precisely. He cares for and loves his child, but that power can't be given to just anyone. He watched her grow, see what type of person she was. He wanted to reveal himself at the right moment but then one fateful day they bumped into each other.
"Besides the usual angel mojo, I can compel people"
"Really?" he questioned.
She smiled mischievously and walked up to him bending forward, looking him in the eye. "Slap yourself" she commended.
He was looking at her then turned his head to look at his hand, confused that it was moving with a mind of its own. Before he knew there was a loud slap and he had smacked himself across the face.
"Huh… I'll be sure to remember that, and not piss you off."
She giggled and returned to her seat. "What have you been up to anyways?"
"The same things as always. Have you spoken to your brothers lately?" Gabriel asked.
She looked conflicted. Dean she kept contact with every so often. They would have calls and catch up. It was mostly on Deans schedule of him sneaking a call with her when Johns not around. She was happy to know that Dean still cared. Sam And Lillian haven't spoken since he left. She doesn't really know why. It broke her heart when he left. She knows why he did and she wasn't mad at him like John and Dean were. She was mad he didn't keep contact. Growing up with Sam, her twin was her best friend. They were inseparable. When they were little if they walked long distances together they kept their pinkys locked for security. She doesn't know why he would drop her like that. Without him and Dean as a constant in her life she felt utterly alone, besides the random visits from her father.
She looked at the floor then back up at her fathers face, "No."
"Well word is that they are hunting together again. Apparently John is missing and Dean-o snatched Sammy boy from Stanford. I'm betting that they are coming for you next sweetums."
She was annoyed. She didn't want them to come looking for her. She doesn't want to go hunting with them and she doesn't wanna see Sam. Dean she didn't mind too much if she looks past the fact that he's been Johns perfect solider and never cared to defend her or care to meet up to see her when he went to look for a solo hunt. "I'm not going with them."
"You don't have to, but they are your brothers Lily."
"That's saying a lot when you ran away from your whole identity." She snapped at him.
Now he was annoyed. She knows she shouldn't have said that but she was too worked up. He gave her a stern look and she gave him one right back. "Don't go there." He said scoldingly while pointing a finger at her. Flashing his eyes light blue at her as a warning.
He would never hurt her, but she had no right to bring up his past with not being there for it. He felt hurt that she would jab him where it would hurt most by bringing up how he left his family. A warning for her to back off from the topic wouldn't hurt. He knows things wouldn't escalate.
She flashed her true eyes back at him in defiance, but there was something different about them. Her usual golden glare was now red with a golden rim around the iris. What's happening? He questioned in his head. He walked up to her and put two fingers up to her forehead.
"What?? What are you doing?" She questioned.
"How long have your eyes been a different shade?" He questioned her as he tried to search her being for corruption. He couldn't find anything.
"I don't know what you are talking about. I don't really go flashing my eyes like this in the mirror. What do they look like? What do you mean different?"
"Red. They look red as in corruption. Though I can't find any sign of corruption. I don't want to touch your soul and put you in pain. It's an uncomfortable, painful process and it's risky. Only if we are desperate I will. What have you done? You had to do something, this doesn't just happen." He said accusingly.
What did she do? There's a lot of things she does. She's not the most pleasant person to be around sometimes. She will make the hard decisions no one wants to make while hunting. She runs scams and lies for a living. Killing as well but she's killing evil. Though that doesn't make her corrupt, she knows that. Lillian has her suspicions on why this is happening. A few months after she turned 21 she started having dreams every once in a while that were very vivid. Then it turned into every night. Now it's the one thing she looks forward to at the end of the day. Though she cannot tell her father that she has dreams of talking to a mystery man in the dark. He would freak out.
"I didn't do anything!" she exclaimed.
"I'm looking into this"
"Okay dad." She held her arms out to hug him goodbye and he rested his chin on her head and sighed. He pulled away and stepped back. Gabriel looked at her worriedly and sighed then flew away.
With a snap of her fingers Lillian's clothes were changed from her royal purple tank top paired with a black leather jacket and dark grey skinny jeans into a plain dark grey tshirt and black sweats. Her boots were off. She turned off the light and went into bed ready to drift off to sleep and see the man in her dreams again.
