Chapter Nine
Summary:
-Lillian has dreams again
-The siblings go to Bobby's
-Lillian encounters Meg
It was established that the demon Meg had John. Lillian was freaking out. Not because they had kidnapped John, she knew that they could figure a way out of this. She was nervous of having her true identity revealed.
They were in the car now driving far faster than the speed limit told them to. Siblings in their usual seats. Dean white knuckling the wheel, Sam nervous for the fate of his father and Lillian staring off out of the window in the backseat. She needed to speak to her father, to Gabriel. It has been a while since they last spoke. He would know what she should do. She slowly closed her eyes and left herself doze off into a small nap.
Reaching out to her dad with what little time she had with Deans speeding. Praying and praying for him to answer, for his guidance. She was in the dark. Absolute darkness. Gabriel was either busy or her prayers weren't reaching him. It was most likely the first, 'I don't know why he would ignore my prayers' she thought to herself.
Surrounded by the dark void of her sleep, floating in her subconscious, she finally met the ground. She made contact with someone. Only she was still surrounded by darkness⦠Turning around she was met with the cage. Closing her eyes and taking a relaxed breath in, she felt his presence.
"You gonna stand out there forever? Come join me" he asked. Lillian considered projecting herself in like she did last time. It had been so long since she last saw him. Though she was pissed off. Why hadn't she seen him in so long? Then now out of all times he decides to show up?? "I think I prefer it out here."
He moved up close to the bars, hitting them in the process. "Don't lie to me. Don't hold yourself back from me, give in" it sounded almost as if he was pleading behind the venom in his voice. Begging her to join him in his prison for the short visit. She sighed quietly to herself stepping forward. Lillian had been angry with him, he had ignored her for endless nights, but she can't resist the pull she feels towards him. Not when she's this close and especially not after their last meeting.
She was face to face with him now. The only thing separating them was the cold metallic cage. Reaching her hand up she touched where his was and transported herself inside. Turning around she took him in again. His glowing beauty. He radiated pure dominance. His angelic form was magnificent. She did not fear him, she felt comfortable in his presence. Almost as if she belongs there.
He watched her eyes scan over him. Drinking him in. He decided to take this opportunity to get a full look at her as well. The last time they saw each other he didn't really care to, she has a human body so why should he? Part of him still doesn't care to, though there's a piece of him that's nagging him to know everything about her. To study her. He has never felt this drawn to anything before. Not even when he had the mark and was drawn to bloodlust. This was a different feeling. Curious, he studied her face. He looked at her roundness of her face and at all her features. Her big green eyes surrounded with thick lashes that stared up at him in wonder, then at her feminine small nose and plump lips. Her face was surrounded by her long dark brown hair. 'Its's human looking, not unpleasant for human' he thought as he shrugged to himself and went to study the rest of her. She was curvy and had a large chest. Wearing a dark tank top with a leather jacket. He didn't get a chance to let his eyes wonder further..
"Are you checking me out?" Lillian asked while putting her arms over her chest, blushing. Truth was, he wasn't straight out staring at her boobs. He was looking at her grace. Admiring it. Something about it felt familiar but he couldn't put his finger on what. Her grace was her own, powerful, with a hint of something familiar. He thought about outright grabbing her and feeling her soul, he could know everything then. He also just felt an urge to grope her soul, to see it, he needed it. "If I recall you were checking me out just as much.." he replied in a smirking tone.
"Why are you here? I called out for someone else?" Lillian asked changing the topic, pacing back and forth in front of him now. She wanted answers and she wanted them now. "Are you cheating on me with another angel?" he said dramatically, she rolled her eyes at that. "You must have intended to pray for another but deep down you desired for lil 'ole me, of course I'd answer. You're my only visitor!" he continued.
"That's bold of you to say, you have been gone for so long. Where have you been?!" she was raising her voice now upset. "I let you see who I am, what I look like and then you just ghost me! What the fuck! Do you have any idea how paranoid I've been about anyone finding out? My own family doesn't even know! You are the first and now.. who knows you could be plotting from in here for all I know." her eyes were glowing crimson with rage at this point. He stared down at her amused. Letting her ramble on. "Or I thought you just hated what I am like the rest of heaven does and never wanted to talk to me again. I-"
"Relax!" he cut her off now. "I don't hate you" he said quietly as if he didn't believe he was actually comforting someone. "I couldn't reach you because the cage weakens my powers. Our last visit drained me" he answered her worries. He still isn't sure why it drained him. "Can't I just heal you? Before I leave?" she asked him. "I don't think it works that way" he's not too sure what to believe if he was honest. What he was experiencing with her was foreign to him. It was uncomfortable.
"What did you want?" he asked bluntly. "What do you mean?" Lillian was confused with the change of topic. "Why you prayed? You needed something?" he clarified. "It's complicated.."
He looked at her annoyed but urging her to tell him now so they don't have to argue, forcing her to tell him. She sat on the floor getting comfortable now "Ugh fine.. Every demon problem I run into with my family gets more and more complicated. I try to avoid every single case with them that involves demons because it's frustrating dealing with them and not using my powers, and they obviously know I'm not human. I've only worked one demon case with my brothers and I was almost caught. The last one we just did barely noticed me though it was different. Now we are on our way to deal with one and they will all find out what I am and I am fucked. I think my family will disown me if they knew."
"Your whole family is human?" he questioned her. She nodded "Except for my bio parent who is an angel." "Who are they?" he asked getting to her level now. "No" she deadpanned. "Would I know them?" he reworded his question with a smile behind his voice. She laughed, pushing his arm "I don't even know who you are, I wouldn't know." He felt that same rush as last time when she touched him. Lillian felt it too. As cold as he felt, he truly made her feel warm inside. He looked at her serious staring into her green orbs "the demons won't be a problem for you anymore."
Her head shot up, waking up abruptly to a car door slamming. Taking in her surroundings, they were parked in Bobby Singer's junkyard. It had been a while since the three of them had seen Bobby. Lillian and the boys love Bobby, he's like a surrogate uncle to them. Her brothers not waiting up on her were already at the door and greeting him.
Boots meeting gravel, stepping out of the impala, she made her way to the front door. The door was slightly open, most likely one of her brothers left it for her so she could make her way in. Walking in her eyes lit up when they landed on Bobby. The older man looked the same from the last time she saw him. Still sporting the same look but a bit more gruffer. "Hi Bobby"
"Hey kid, you look like you grew" Bobby replied. "Nah, still short" she pointed down to her black boots, "it's the shoes, Sammy's the one that keeps growing."
After their greetings they all got straight to business. Bobby of course made all of the siblings drink holy water just to be sure. Sam was at Bobby's desk now reading one of his books, "I've never seen anything like this."
Lillian walked over to him, peeking over his shoulder to get a look at what he was reading. "Is that the Key of Solomon?" she asked. "That'd be the one" Bobby answered. "You know this stuff?" Sam asked her. "I read.. It comes in handy when dealing with demons."
"She's right Sam. Those circles you see there, if you get a demon in one, they're trapped. Powerless." Dean started walking over "Man knows his stuff."
Bobby got serious now and Lillian could feel it. Looking up at him as he spoke "Kids this is some serious stuff you're getting into. There used to be maybe 3 or 4 demonic possessions I'd hear of. Now 27. There's a shit storm brewing and you guys are smack right in the middle of it. The demons are walking among us now. They are planning something big."
Just then they heard a dog outside barking. As they were on alert and Bobby went to look out the window, his door was busted down. There stood a woman with short blonde hair. Though Lillian knew it wasn't just a woman, not even just by looking at her true face under the vessel, she could smell the filth and ugliness of her true self reeking off her.
Dean went to throw holy water at her and she instantly threw him into a shelf with a wave of her hand. She turned her head noticing Bobby and Sam on the other side of the room, not yet seeing Lillian. "I want the colt Sam, the real colt this time." The demon demanded. "Right now."
Now circling each other, all around the room. Sam and Bobby met with Lillian on her side of the room who were circling carefully the demon who's presumed to be Meg. Still circling slowly, Sam responded "we don't have it on us, it's buried somewhere." Meg made eye contact with Lillian looking her up and down raising a brow then turning back to Sam, "Didn't I say no more bullshit? I swear after everything I hear about the Winchesters I'm a bit underwhelmed." She was now moving closer to the group of three "Did you really think I wouldn't find you?"
Dean came up from behind her, "Actually, we were counting on it." He looked up as a gesture for her to look up as well. Drawn on the ceiling above was a heptagram devils trap sigil trapping Meg in. "Gotcha."
Lillian came around now dragging a chair with her while Bobby grabbed rope so they could tie the demon up. Lillian dragged the chair through the trap stepping inside with the demon. She held her hand out towards Bobby as he passed her the rope. She threw it over her shoulder. Surprisingly, demons would be fighting her out of the trap by now or attempting to kill her, even if she could easily overpower them. Her brothers were uneasy with her alone with Meg in the trap, even if Meg was powerless "woah, woah Lily you don't have to do that, one of us can" Sam said worriedly. "I can handle myself just fine. I've dealt with more demons then the two of you combined" Lillian said while looking Meg up and down getting a feel of who she is, where she would rank and what her power level would be. Meg took a few steps around the chair avoiding the hunter "Whatever you lousy hunters think you can get from me you won't." Lillian ignored her and grabbed her dragging her and throwing her into the chair. Knowing that Meg already knew she wasn't human just by looking her, she held her in place with her mind. Meg let her, complying. Something isn't adding up about this Lillian thought to herself.
She tied Meg up and stepped out of the trap. During that time Bobby salted down all the doors and windows to ensure they're saftey.
The four of them stood in Bobby's living room as Meg was interrogated on John's whereabouts. It was very back and forth as typical as it could be considering demons lie and like to play games. Until Dean got frustrated and punched Meg, causing her to bleed from her lip.
This concerned Bobby. "You have to be careful Dean, don't hurt her" Bobby was serious. "Why?" Dean didn't understand. Lillian stepped forward now pitching in on what Bobby was saying "She is possessed." Sam looked over now "what do you mean?" LIllian sighed to herself because they are so much more smarter than this, "the demon is in an actual living human girl right now. Possessing her. We can exorcise the demon from her body."
Dean looked from his sister to Bobby "Bobby is she right about this? Is she saying that somehow there's an innocent girl trapped somewhere in there?" he said pointing over to Meg. "She sure is boy, can't you tell?"
They made their way back over to Meg. Lillian handing Sam the special latin words to expel the demon back to hell. Lillian or Bobby could easily do it themselves but the brothers need to learn. Lillian already knows how to speak latin and enochian (taught by Gabriel). Sam settling the book in his hands looked over to his siblings then at Meg. "Are you gonna read me a story?" Lillian smiled at her "you could say that."
Sam started reading the latin. Meg looked around like this whole thing was a joke "Are you serious?" Sam kept reading. Bobby was standing over by his desk as everything unfolded. Dean and Lillian watched next to each other. Meg groaned in agony. Sam stopped reading and looked at Meg than his siblings. "I will kill all of you, I'm gonna rip the bones from your bodies. Starting with the tall one." Meg said in a strained tone.
Lillian stayed quiet. She can't do anything from her position. Her words mean nothing to her. Dean got riled up though "You're gonna burn in hell. Unless you tell us where our dad is." Lillian knew she wasn't going to fess up. She could sense there was more about this demon then just kidnapping John Winchester. Bobby was right, they are planning something. While yes John winchester is a priority they should be searching for Lillian feels there's more things they should be asking.
Sam continued reading again. This time around Meg was shaking and gasping "He begged with tears in his eyes, begging to see his children one last time. That's when I slit his throat." Sam and Dean were quiet, though Lillian knew she was lying, "she's lying, keep reading Sammy." He continued the exorcism.
As the exorcism went on so did the stare down between the siblings and Meg. Dean got in Meg's face now "Where is he?"
"You just won't take dead for an answer."
"He's not dead! He can't be! Where is he?!" Dean looked up at his siblings who were watching the scene unfold. "what are you both looking at? Keep reading Sammy." Sam read again.
Meg started screaming now. Between the screams she said something. "Sam stop reading." Lillian demanded, she turned to Meg, "what did you say?" Meg looked around at all of them, looking a mess "he's not dead but he will be after what we're finished with him."
"How do we know if you're telling the truth?" Dean asked quickly. "She is!" The brothers looked at their sisters not understanding and back at the demon who answered "you don't"
Sam went to keep reading the exorcism again when Meg shouted "A building! A building in Jefferson city. Okay?" "Missouri?" Lillian questioned. Dean then asked urgently "where? give me an address."
"I dont know"Meg said desperately.
"What about Azazel? Where is he?" Lillian asked.
"I dont know! I swear! That's everything I know"
Dean kept looking to Meg with disgusts. Lillian looked up at Sam and nodded at him, "keep reading."
"You bitch! I told you all the truth you promised!" Meg pleaded. Dean got in her face now "We lied!" Lilllian looked to Sam again urging him to read. Sam still wasn't reading. "Sam! Why aren't you reading?" Dean yelled out to him.
"We can still use her to find out more info on the demon." Sam tried to reason. "Sam There's an innocent girl trapped in there, we have to help her."
Bobby came around now. "you're gonna kill her." Dean looked at him crazy "what?"
"You said she fell from a building. Her body is broken. That demon is the only thing keeping her alive. You exorcise it, the girl is gonna die."
"We cant leave her like that what is wrong with the both of you." Dean felt like he was the only sane one in the room. "She is a human being" Bobby argued. "We will be putting her out of her misery" Dean argued back again.
Lillian had so many options on what she would do but she felt she had no place to say considering Dean sorta took over now. We could shoot her in the head then exorcise the demon. Quick easy shot and she's put out of her misery. If she is going to die anyways then what's the harm in that, it's better than dying whatever painful death you die from a broken body when you fall from a building. I know they would find my way of thinking too harsh. She thought to herself.
Sam eventually continued the exorcism after Deans demanding. The Four of them watched as the demon smoke expelled into the air and all that was left was a broken girl who was still alive. Bobby rushed to call an ambulance and get things to make her more comfortable. Lillian and Dean went over to untie her from the chair. "Thank you." She was grateful for the having the winchesters remove the demon from her.
Sam picked her up carefully as she groaned in pain. He placed her flat on the floor. The woman was talking about her possession when Dean questioned her. "Was it telling us the truth about our dad?"
"Yes. But it wanted you to know they want you to come for him." She said pained.
Bobby came in with supplies. Lillian grabbed the blankets from him and draped them over the poor woman's body. Attempting to give her comfort in her last moments. Dean gave her a sip of water as Sam asked "Where is the demon we are looking for?"
"Not there, other ones. Terrible ones."
"Where are they keeping our dad?" Dean asked.
"By the river." She was struggling to get her words out now more than she was previously. "Sunrise."
"Sunrise?" Lillian asked. "What does that mean?" Dean's voiced raised a little in confusion by her vague answer. Though they couldn't question her further since she drew her last breath, ending her suffering.
Lillian, Sam and Dean were getting ready to leave Bobby's now. Ready to find John again with the little information they have. They said their goodbyes to Bobby as he wished them luck.
Heading out the door and into the impala they were on the road again.
