Chapter Fifteen

It had been a few weeks now since the twins encounter and Lillian hadn't spoken to Sam since. She has spoken to Dean though. Lillian suspects that Sam hadn't told Dean about their fight which made her suspicious. She was surprised Sam didn't tell Dean that she lied to them. She suspects Sam could be trying to hide something from both of them. Not wanting to cause a further drift between the three of them, she talked to Dean as usual.

Lillian was currently working a case involving a solo witch. It seemed to be a powerful according to the nature of the deaths. From looking around the crime scene it appeared that the victims souls were scorched into the ground next the bodies where they perished.

Lillian had already investigated everything she needed to pinpoint who she was certain to be the witch. A platinum blonde, skinny woman who was an upper class snob named Melinda Longford. She seemed to be marrying very lonely old rich men then taking them out for their fortunes. Melinda seemed like a ditz to Lillian though considering the fact that she is killing them off in the most obvious ways to attract hunters towards her.

This case felt weird to Lillian though. Not the case itself but just her surroundings. She's constantly felt like she's had to look over her shoulder. As if someone was watching her from the darkest shadow nearby. She's been on high alert for a few days now. Paranoid about something or someone watching her. Has it always felt like this or am I going crazy? What if I'm being oblivious to something that's been here all along?

She tried to brush off the paranoia as she loaded her gun with witch killing bullets. Starting her car she headed towards the mansion Melinda currently resided in. It was the middle of the night and from what she's learned about the woman she lives alone now.

Lillian stepped out of her car and quietly made her way around to the side of her house. Knowing it's a big mansion she's pretty sure there was gonna be some security alarm that would get triggered if she snuck in through one of the entrances. She unhitched the latch on a low window, slid it open and carefully rolled herself through the open space.

She took in her new surroundings and found herself to be in a sitting room. She looked around at all the lavish furniture and decor as her eyes adjusted to the dark. Raising her gun, she quietly scouted the house.

Coming upon the kitchen she heard shuffling. Lillian was more on alert now. She put her back up towards the wall as her rounded the corner with her gun raised. Once she turned the corner all the way into the kitchen she was face to face with an open large pantry cabinet door. It was obvious Melinda was on the other side of it rummaging through her shelves looking for something. Keeping her gun raised and her face stern she prepared herself to be face to face with the witch.

The door swung closed and Lillian spoke up "Comfy in this big house all by yourself?"

The blonde woman gasped loudly clutching her chest. Her eyes went wide as she noticed the gun. "Aren't you the FBI!? What do you want? I have money! Please don't hurt me!" she pleaded frantically with her arms raised.

"Please, you can drop the act. This here?" Lillian wiggled her gun for her to see. "It's filled up with witch killing bullets. I know what you've been up to Melinda."

The frightened woman looked at her confused. She wasn't understanding the situation. "W-witch? You think I'm a witch?" she said shaking her head as tears brimmed her eyes.

Lillian slightly lowered her gun. She squinted her eyes at the woman. Ever since her grace was locked it's been harder to pick liars apart but she still trusted her intuition. "If you aren't a witch then who's killing all your husbands?" Lillian asked. The question was more to herself for messing up this bad.

The woman answered anyways, "I- I don't know! I've been asking myself the same thing. They all died in such strange ways…" Lillian lowered her gun now certain that this woman couldn't be her witch she was hunting. She would've tried to kill her by now if she was. "I'm sorry I startled you" she apologized.

A still frightened Melinda looked up towards her to respond but wasn't looking towards her. She was looking behind her. She slowly raised her finger as her facial expression changed to look like she's seen a ghost. "Jenny!? You're supposed to be dead! You died!"

Lillian's her head snapped around and saw the Jenny in question. She looked just like Melinda but had strawberry blonde hair. As Lillian was reaching to get her gun up, Jenny lunged forward towards Lillian. She knocked her down and Melinda screamed doing nothing.

Lillian's head slammed hard on the floor causing her to feel dizzy. Her gun was knocked out of her hand, now out of her reach. She felt Jenny crawl on top of her and straddle in her lap. Jenny grabbed Lillian's face hard as her nails dug into her skin. The throbbing in her head and dizziness was starting to take over from when she hit her head. She whispered something inaudible into both her ears. The incantation caused Lillian to become completely paralyzed. Lillian then heard what sounded like the muffled screams and shouting pleads of Melinda telling Jenny to stop.

Lillian's eyes were barely open now but she was still awake enough to see Jenny's hands glow green and reach towards her chest. It was a shocking pain that came next. Almost like she was electrocuted underwater. She was still whispering something inaudible in her ear as she shocked her. Most likely to keep her immobilized. Once she pulled her hands away from her chest, Lillian's eyes were closed and her breathing started to slow.

Jenny stood up and looked at her sister. Melinda was crying "What did you do!? What are you!?"

"You left me for dead, this is a hunter. She would've found me and killed me if I hadn't have stopped her." Jenny snarled out.

"You are supposed to be dead!" Melinda screamed through tears at her older sister.

"When you all "thought" I was dead and left me to decompose after I fell from the roof of that abandoned factory we snuck in. A woman found me, she took care of my injuries. She pitied me. She taught me everything there is to know about magic."

"What- what are you doing here then…" Melinda started stepping back away from her sister now in fear.

Before Jenny could answer, there was a clicking sound and the backyard door was unlocked. A random bald man with a beard walked in and he looked rather annoyed.

He walked in front of Lillian's body and looked up towards the sisters. Flashing black eyes at them and smiling in warning, Jenny took that as a cue to exit and she started to run towards the door abandoning her sister. Melinda didn't understand the gravity of the situation. She was shaking and clutching her robe.

With a flick of the wrist the demon threw Melinda towards the other side of the room with his mind, knocking her unconscious. He scooped up Lillian's body and teleported them outside to her car. Placing her carefully in the backseat of her car, he got in the drivers seat and started the engine. He drove them back towards her motel.

He scooped her up from the backseat of her car. Bringing her over to her room he plopped her on her bed. Checking her over he couldn't find anything physically wrong with her. He shook her. She wouldn't wake up. He slapped her across the face. She still didn't budge.

This was now out of his hands. He was only there to interfere if she was in danger and he knew he fucked up because now Lillian is all kinds of messed up. He had to get out of here and into hiding before any other higher ranking demons finds out about his screw up.

Before he left her he pulled her phone out of her pocket and texted the older Winchester the coordinates of her motel. Maybe they can figure this shit out.
