A/N : My laptop broke XD XD XD it suddenly went and showed the blue screen of death (in computers) in the middle of a zoom meeting I was in. I tried to take it to repair but apparently they couldn't fix it… well, that's what they said. And so we tried another repair shop but they told us basically the same thing. So yeah, right now i'm just using my phone.

Chapter 12
Gisela's POV
After Lord Weller and I went out of Wolfram's bed chambers, I quickly hurried to Lady Cecilie… wherever she was. I went to her room, but she wasn't there. Went to the garden, the parlor, the balcony with the central garden view, but to no avail. I asked the passing servants if they saw her, until I came near the hallways leading to the kitchen. I could hear her voice.
I rushed to the kitchen and there she was, instructing the kitchen staff on what specifically to prepare for Wolfram.
"Lady Celie…" I called to gain her attention.
"Oh, Gisela! Hello, dear! What brings you here?" she replied cheerily.
"C-can we talk?" the nervousness showing through my shaky voice.
"Uh- sure. Everyone, don't forget my instructions, okay? Now, how about we go somewhere else, Gisela dear…" she then took me in the chambers near the infirmary. "Now, dear, where's your room?" she asked.
"Oh, here." I hurriedly opened my room and ushered her inside.
"So, what is it? Did something happen?" she inquired.
And there, I spilled it. How I heard screams coming from Wolfram's room, finding it locked and banging on it. Then Heika came out of the room, while Wolfram was on his knees just devastated. How Conrad came in and saw the scene as I was trying to comfort Wolfram somehow. And about what I think transpired inside the room for everything to end up like that.
She then had a conflicted yet sullen look on her face. She went and checked on his son right after that but he was still asleep. After a few minutes, she went to Lady Miko's room and had a private talk. When dinner came, the table was unnervingly quiet. Although there were some conversations that arose but for the most part, it was silent. The cheerful Lady Celie wasn't initiating conversations, Lady Miko wasn't like her usual bubbly personality, Conrad wasn't smiling and joining the conversations, and Yuuri almost didn't touch his meal. Well, for obvious reasons, Wolfram wasn't there.
Although, the rest of them figured out that there was something wrong, they didn't pry on it at the time. Maybe they seem to already figure out what possibly happened. Maybe they're giving them time to cool down and are avoiding to trigger anyone and lead them to an emotional outburst.
A couple hours after everyone finished their dinner, I got up from my desk in the record's room of the infirmary.
It's getting late now. I guess I should wake him up now. He can't just miss a meal now, I should make him eat even a little. I'm sure he understands, it's not only for his sake, but the twins'.
I headed to the kitchen to fetch Wolfram's tray and went to deliver the warm meal to the blonde. On my way there, I bumped into Lady Celie and Lady Miko who seemed like they were about to visit Wolfram as well. We exchanged weak smiles and made our way to wake him up.
Gwendal's POV
"What happened?" I asked sternly. He managed to capture both the maou and his brown haired brother and kept them in his office. In fact, they weren't the only ones in the said office. Gunter, the maou of Earth, Yuuri's father and brother, as well as the Daikenja all gathered in the room to ask the two captured men what happened. To know what was the tension in the dinner about…
"I said, WHAT HAPPENED?!" I asked again, with more emphasis, just in case it was what they needed. I wasn't gonna let the night pass without me knowing what was happening.
"Look Gwendal, personally, I don't know that whole story. When I got there, it was only the aftermath that I witnessed," Conrad finally answered.
"And what exactly did you witness?" Gunter inquired.
And so, Conrad really just honestly told what he saw. From when Gisela was banging the door of Wolfram's room, to how they exited that room. "And maybe Gisela shared what she saw there with both mother and Miko-san. Making both of them sullen during dinner… Look… You really won't get anything else out of me. I may speculate what happened in there, but I'm sure that everyone else in the room already shares the same speculation as me. Let me go now. I want to see if Wolfram's awake now."
"Not yet," I said, then my brother just sighed in annoyance. I then turned to the young king who's looking very very guilty right now. "So? Want to tell us exactly what happened?"
The maou just looked up momentarily then looked down again and bit his lip, he's fumbling his own fingers and he's repeatedly tapping one of his feet.
"Quit the tapping, Yuuri." I then heard his father say. "Please tell us… what happened?"
Yuuri sighed and finally spoke.
After an hour or so, with us not only listening to the king's narration. For sure, we were throwing remarks and having a very heated discussion. Sure he really needed to do that, maybe… but that's NOT the way to do it. And everyone else thought so. Everyone was pitching in their own opinions when we heard a knock on the door.
"NOT NOW!" I shouted at the door.
Despite the harsh warning, the person behind the door bravely opened it. It was Anissina, I'm not even surprised.
"Sorry to interrupt whatever meeting this was, but the expected guest arrived just now. Lady Catherine, was it?I led her to the parlor for now." she said.
"Oh for Shinou's sake!" I exclaimed then turned to the king sharply, making him flinch visibly. "We're not done yet…" I said.
And so we headed to welcome the guest from Hexzalia. The adrenaline from our previous heated discussion all led us to walking at a fast pace, trying to waste as much energy as we can so we can greet the guest as calmly as possible. Not our own frustrations seeping out from each of our words and actions. And so, we arrived.
"Lady Catherine, hi. It's me again." Anissina greeted the guest.
"Lady Anissina." she acknowledged and slowly stood up.
"Lady Catherine, it has been a while," I greeted.
"It's good to see you all again." she said, but she seemed rather distracted. Her eyes kept wandering around, as if searching for something.
"I'm glad you decided to visit Shin Makoku. I'm sure my brother will be thrilled to see you." Conrad then said. Ah… she's looking for Wolfram. Now, how do I tell her that right now, it's not really a good time to see him.
"That's exactly why I'm here!" she then blurted out. "Where's Wolfram? Is he still upset?"
Wait what? Upset?
"Lady Catherine, did my brother tell you to come here?" I asked for confirmation.
"No! But I figured he needed me to be here." she's becoming visibly more and more angry. "I can't believe that with your number here, you can't even take care of Wolf."
"Now, now… Lady Catherine. Please calm down. We are also trying to figure out how to resolve this situation. We just can't do much right now because the king's memories haven't come back yet," Gunter tries to coax her to sit down again but to no avail.
"Okay, where's Wolf? How is he?" she asked.
"He's in his room. Our mother should be waking him up and bringing his meal. He is indeed upset, but he will be fine." Conrad assured her.
"Okay, then how about the baby?" she asked. Then it's as if the world flipped upside down. It literally spun my mind. I was speechless for a few seconds, I think everyone else was. We were all rooted on where we were standing. We didn't know how to react.
Catherine's POV
" Okay, then how about the baby?" I asked. And as if petrified, they all stood there shocked. It took me a minute to realize that they didn't know anything at all.
"Oh god! You didn't even know?!" I just blew up. "Were you treating him like normal? Letting him physically train the soldiers and all? Maybe talking to him and upsetting him badly?!"
"H-HE WAS PREGNANT?!" Lord von Voltaire slowly turned to the direction of the Maou who seemed like he hadn't come back to reality yet. He looked like he was about to commit murder when Lord Weller and Lord Gunter both retrained him, keeping him far from the young king.
"YOU!" his voice thundered. This got the Maou out of his trance.
"I…I… I didn't know!" he was wildly looking in just every direction.
Then we all heard screaming, maybe crying?
"Gwendal! Conrad! Where are you?!" I heard a woman's voice.
"Mother?" Lord Weller said in a slightly loud voice, maybe so that their mother would hear him through the closed doors.
Sure enough, the door was harshly opened by Lady Celie with an obviously tear-stained face. Panting, as if she had been running everywhere.
"Gwendal… Wolfie… Wolf, he ran away! He left a letter in his room! W-we have to find him!"
We all stood there, shocked for a couple of seconds before Wolf's brothers sprinted out of the room, calling out their units, snapping us back to reality. Lord von Christ also followed suit, with the great sage trailing behind him, mumbling about wanting to help look for Wolf.
Those of us who were left stood there, breathing heavily and exchanging nervous and worried glances.
"This… This is all my fault." the Maou laughed dryly while tears were falling down his cheeks.
Lady Celie seemed to share the maou's opinion from her expression, but instead she said, "You didn't know, Heika. Most of you didn't know. No one here is truly at fault. I don't think Wolfram would also pin the blame on you alone."
"Letter? May we read the letter, Lady Celie?" An older double black asked the former queen who was on the verge of tears once again.
She took a deep breath and loosened her hands that we only realized to be clenching a crumpled piece of paper.

A/N: Am I pacing the story too fast? I didn't really notice until I reread the last two posted chapters. I'll try to slow down the pace, if you guys find the happenings too fast for your liking.
